got a couple warrants he hasn't been taken care of them so figured we'd take a more proactive approach and see if we could round him up he's got a long driveway out to his house so you got to you kind of got to be quick he lives uh at the top of a hill so once you cross that Hill you can start looking for him hey you know what you got warrants you got warrants well let me take my hands out of my yeah so anytime that we go after uh looking for somebody with warrant to be dick hold on what's going on wait hold on you got to be ready for whatever is going to come your way wow do you guys have you oh you guys are the ones that have the problem with him yeah this is him yeah that's him if they're going to run if they're going to fight if they're going to hide oh that's because he's little he's got the big man problem he's got warrants okay the warrant I forgot to pay my fine I haven't made it in town cuz I've been broke broke down we just got to be able to adapt and and work with the that's my mom she's going to probably follow us all the way down she thought that she would stop me from getting to the jail but we ended up handing her off to the sergeant she was able to talk to him and we took him to the jail without a problem 1 13 I'll be out with that Ma so we were just pulling up to maverick3 like to do our business checks throughout the day just to show our presence in the area now part of our job as deputies is to engage with the public we do this by doing community and business checks so we started our day off by doing a business check today as soon as we rolled up into the uh gas station parking lot manager was in our door and asking us to help him out the manager had told us that there was an individual outside of the store and that he was cursing out customers and he was being belligerent he pointed him out to us and asked if we could remove him from from the property I went over and talked to him he was clearly upset he was cursing and he was saying all sorts of things I escal him off the property and who went to the business next door I decided to run his name and boom five warrants he's got five warrants out of three different jurisdictions he's had them for quite a while he hasn't been taken care of them so we decided to pay him a visit next door hey can I talk to you for second so you got warrants okay where War snowflake sololo one other place you're supposed to be in court Friday yeah 13 I'll have that one 10:15 can you come back here when you take someone into custody you never know exactly how it's going to go and thankfully this one went pretty smoothly and what's your birthday again somebody stole my identity dude they stole bu of from FL okay you ever been arrested in Navajo County I've been arrested at P toop four years okay one of the police okay so one of the warrants is out of Pine top sholo and Snowflake and it looks like everything matches except for the uh social that you told me but do you have a social card that I can look at I have with me I mean it got stolen my wallet okay I got a new wallet I mean it matches the photo I got a bank statement in there okay I got a bank stat my bag 113 you send me DMV photo of that supposed to be record on Friday for this 22 day after Thanksgiving the one important thing we do as deputies is we do what's called community policing we do this by conducting School patrols area Patrols in the neighborhoods and business checks we do this so that we can engage with the public and we can talk to people oneon-one outside of conducting enforcement action this allows us to engage with the public outside of enforcement action shows the businesses that we care and that we're there for them if they need us there a un liquor in that bag and my bank statement in that bag he stole like three backpacks I'm my probation Cino County I ain't doing un probation a ple bargain sh I was all people ly with okay you got anything on you that I need to know arrested for in Pine Top I've never been arrested Pine Top I got stopped lock the street back do you have an Arizona ID not yet somebody's got my wallet they got my driver's license Tak at me in California they thought I was a woman I got a motorcycle stole in California the police in Pine toop have one of my wallets the police violated my civil rights I reported them to authorities and phix oh I did 58 days in cadino county for nothing people called the police and lied to them they call police know they got me jammed up in the hotel and they end up staying there when they got out of jail one time they got me room there for a week and San got to a bunch of my property brand new war li4 me something okay I'm going to have you sit in the car okay we're going to have to get another uh officer over to transport his bike so that way we don't leave it in front of the business 34 so he was harassing customers over there uh he gave me his name he's got five warrants he's got this bike we need to take it to he says he just wants it left at his apartment oh that's where where he lives yeah cool we'll meet you over there okay thank [Music] you now we're back on our routine area patrols when we receed a call from DPS about a hit-and run Collision on I40 now while we're actively looking for this vehicle we get another call this call involved a dark color SUV parked in an apartment complex the caller said that the driver looked intoxicated and he was passed out at the wheel we headed there immediately we drove around the back and we found a dark colored SUV parked sideways over a curb with the driver passed out behind the wheel I approached him on the driver's side and I took a few seconds to see what I can see inside the vehicle that way it can give me some Clues as to what may have been happening open the [Music] door open the [Music] door open the [Music] door open the [Music] door open the door roll down the window he looks pretty incoherent he had a glazed look on his face red bloodshot watery eyes the alcohol can was right next to him looked like his motor skills were off because he couldn't function with the buttons on the vehicle roll down the be coming uh I got to go get him processed he admitted to drink in a couple of shots so individual was uh passed out in the vehicle he was intoxicated um although people sometimes aren't driving his vehicle's on he's in the driver's seat the keys are in the ignition he's in actual physical control of that car so based on everything that we were seeing the way that he went over this curb this park there's obviously recent damage to the curb the way that he was acting in there um I was hoping he would be compliant open the window or at least the door to talk to me he instead he went to shift it out of gear to I mean we got apartment complexes a playground right there he could have gone anywhere so ended up having to break the window he admitted to drinking he uh provided a breath sample and a PBT test out here he's in actual physical control of this car although he wasn't driving vehicle's running keys in the ignition he's in the driver seat so he's under arrest for DUI at this time we're going to process the vehicle and process him as quickly as possible [Music] n
