Where did he get shot at? Where's the gun? Your wife have your pistol? Do we know where she's at? Walk back towards me right now. Come back towards me. Come back towards me right now. So, when he came in the bathroom, he took the gun out of my hand and was like fighting with me in the bathtub and then it went off. On October 7th, 2024, [music] a family vacation turned into a crime scene when officers found a man bleeding out in a parking garage. While the husband was being rushed to a helicopter, [music] his wife, Jacqueline, acted like she was auditioning for a drama but forgot the actual tears. She claimed she [music] was innocent yet her behavior told a much darker story. It was a messy start to an investigation that would expose a truly toxic household. Where did he get shot at? Where's the gun? I think his wife got it. It's towards something. Your wife have your pistol? Do we know where she's at? Who's this? Who is this? Who are you? I'm his wife. Okay, where's the gun at? I don't have a gun. You don't have a gun? It's in the broom in the bathroom. >> Okay, drop the purse right now. Drop the purse on the ground. Hey, there's three kids under three in there. Okay. My girlfriend is with him and she's in the bathroom. >> Okay. All right, turn around and walk towards me, okay? Come back towards me. Walk back towards me right now. Come back towards me. Come back towards me right now. Turn around and walk backwards towards me right now. Hands behind your back now. Stop. Stop turning. Jacqueline, Jacqueline, please. Jacqueline, listen. You heard he's okay. Please stop. Who are you related to all this? I'm We're her friends. Okay. Her boyfriend. All right. Just wait right there for me, okay? Just stand up for me, okay? Where's the ambulance? Why isn't he getting in the hospital? Where's the ambulance for him? Okay, they're coming, okay? Are they coming? They're coming, okay? I It's like my gun is too. Okay, do you have anything in your bra? No. Well, we'll search your everything in a second, okay? Okay, so now we got her to stand. What do you need me to do? Do you need help with anything? >> check on the kids for right now. Gentlemen, what's room number? 119. Four. 119? 419, okay. My Tahoe is locked up, by the way. 10-4, room 419, right? Hey. Is this where the incident happened that we got going on? I have no idea. We got called to come and see the kids. >> Okay, you guys are just watching the kids? >> Yes. >> Okay. Um where's the firearm at? >> I have no idea. The police didn't waste any time getting Jackie into handcuffs because her story about the gun was already smelling fishy. It was honestly a degenerate display of behavior to have all this drama unfolding right in front of three kids under the age of three. She was clearly only concerned with herself. Yeah, I was going to say sorry wanted you to go upstairs. Okay, are you okay? All right. Want you to take a deep breath, okay? He is on the helicopter. He's going to get a life flight. They're going to life flight him to the helicopter, okay? All right. I just was checking on you to make sure you're okay, right? I'm okay. And that green purse. Okay. My ID and our military IDs, the military. Okay. [laughter] I want you to take a deep I just had an accident. Was he okay? Is he alive? He was talking to me when I was up there with him, okay? And they've got him in the helicopter, okay? That's For 39 years. We have three kids. Okay. I want you I want you to just take a deep breath for me. So Do you mind me asking, so you get you said you're best friends with the the wife. Yes. Jackie. Jacqueline. Yes, Jacqueline. So, how did you guys get involved tonight? We went on vacation with them. >> Wow. Culver. We were all on vacation together. >> and we were eating at a restaurant. But we Not like 5 minutes away from here. She called Caitlyn. And And just said that my husband or Brian was >> Got shot. She's like, "Come up to our room. Brian got shot." And she needs to go to the hospital. She just said that He was shot. And so I ran up here really fast, put clothes on, And We went to the elevator and then went to the room. I told her, "Stay with the kids. I will take Jackie to the hospital." So, we went down. Me and her went to the lobby. And they said he was in the parking garage. And that's That's the last bit. That's all that we were involved in it. Okay. Did you guys get that the kids were startled by chance or anything? Were they Oh. I have no idea. I mean, we're I mean, this is I have no idea. I really have no idea. I have no idea. >> Cuz he dropped us off at a room. We were eating. They were going to go back to her sister's campsite. She He was like, "I'm tired. I want to go to bed." And I was like, "Okay, I'll go with you." Go back. We were there for probably 35 minutes. She calls me on FaceTime. Answer. She's bawling her brains out. She goes, "Brian's Brian got shot. He might die." While Jackie sat in the back of the cruiser, her friends tried to piece together how a simple dinner turned into a crime scene. Both of these idiots honestly deserve to be locked up for neglecting those poor children during their wild vacation. The friends seemed helpful, but they were clearly just spectators to a total train wreck. And I'm like, "What the So, she's like, "I'm serious." So, I was like, "I'm coming to your [ __ ] room." I put clothes on and I ran here and that was the end of it. Never I never seen her. I didn't see her. Did you see her? Yes. When we opened the door up you ran into the kids, she was right there. I took her down cuz I was going to take her to the hospital. But then when we got to the lobby, they said he was in the parking garage. So that's when we came out to the parking garage. Just to get this straight, you guys went to a bar to a tiki bar to watch the game. >> Mhm. Yes. They weren't arguing anything, it was perfectly fine. You guys get back here. >> Yes. You get up here, you get a phone call. >> Yes. And she was like, my husband just got shot. Husband shot, so you guys run down to Room 717 cuz she said run to the room so fast. Cuz she was saying she had to go to the hospital, so I was like, I'm going to take her to the hospital. And then I was like, I'm going to stay with the kids. >> was going to stay with the kids. So that's when she stayed there and And then you went with her to the lobby, then you find out the guy the husband, Mr. King was Well, we went to the lobby, went to the front desk and she talked to the lady at the front desk and that's when she said he's in the parking garage, so we went down there and that's when we came out. Okay. But how did he even get down there? Did he walk down there? I I have no idea. I have no idea. >> I was the first one to see that he had someone down there with him, some guy. I have no idea. I have no idea. I mean I have no idea. Good thing I [ __ ] answered that phone call. >> Yeah. Um I'm going to talk to the kids next week, all right? We'll get to that. >> That's all right. It'll probably be Yes, ma'am. Is he okay? Brain? I I I I Who are you to him? I'm I'm my my sister. >> sister, Jacqueline? >> Yes. Apparently, the couple was perfectly fine at a tiki bar before things went south, which just proves that alcohol and hidden handguns are a terrible mix. It was heartbreaking to realize the actual victims here were the kids who had to witness this madness. >> [music] >> Jackie's sister showed up to find out that child protective services was about to become the family's new best friend. So you're saying this is the sister Just Jacqueline? What do I do now? So child protective services going to be called always cuz this is what happened in front of the kids. They may come to you next. They want things to happen finding out. Yeah, like can you just hold them for a while probably? Okay. Um so whatever they do is up to them what they do. Uh right now just be supportive to the kids. I need her to take pictures of her head. Of her head? Cuz what the said that the mother was pushed in the bathtub and then she pulled that gun. I think that's what the mother was telling her. Okay. But we'll make sure Okay. Do you have any questions? I want to explain your rights to you. You have the right to remain silent and understand your rights. Yes. Okay, I understand. Are you Are you willing to waive these rights and talk to me without a lawyer present? What does that mean? Are you willing to talk to me? I mean >> With these rights in mind >> your questions. Yes, that's what it means. Okay, so what happened? I I don't know. >> But so to begin with I'll let you know his brain's okay. He's going to live. >> Okay, thank you. Please. Okay, thank you. Say he's not going to live. But what happened up there? You don't know? I mean I do know, but I don't know. I don't know how the gun went off. I didn't pull the trigger at all. We have a gun in our car. We've been traveling from Kansas, so we camped in Louisiana and we camped in Beavers Bend State Park along our way here. So he always brings a gun just for like personal safety. And so we went to a beach bar nearby and we were kind of arguing at the bar. And on the way here we were arguing a lot, pretty bad. And so we usually keep the car or the gun in our car, but I was a little worried just like with his drinking and stuff like he's just been kind of unsteady sometimes. So I took the gun and I put it in my purse and brought it into the room with us so that it wasn't in the car. After being read her rights, Jackie decided to waive them and start spinning a web of lies that would make a spider dizzy. She claims she didn't even pull the trigger despite the gun magically going off while she was hiding in the bathtub. She was acting so upset yet there wasn't a single real tear to be found on her face. So I put my bag in the bathroom and he was banging on the door and he was like, "Let me in. Let me in." And some of this is on video on my phone in the car. Him like saying he hates me and all this [ __ ] And so I had the gun in my purse so I got it out and I was like, "Just go to bed. Like please just go to bed." So when he came in the bathroom he took the gun out of my hand and was like fighting with me in the bathtub and then it went off. Oh, you guys were fighting over the gun? He was fighting you took the gun from you? He was like jumped in the bathtub with me. He was like taking the gun but like I don't know he was like on top of me and I don't I don't know if the gun went off. So honey, how many shots went off? I think just one. I didn't even know it was loaded. So you guys you so you was in the bathroom? I was hiding in the bathtub. And he he went to go And he came in the door and he got in the bathtub and he took the gun out of my hand and then it went off. So you took the But I was like pushing against his chest with my other hand to like protect myself to like get off me. >> So, you was in the using the tub with the gun? I was in the tub. So, and then so you're in the tub, you guys were fighting. You don't know how the gun went off. He grab cuz because he grabbed the gun. >> I didn't pull the trigger. I didn't pull the trigger. Bullets Usually he keeps like a second He doesn't ever keep his gun loaded. He always has like a I don't know what it's called. Something else that has the bullets in there like a magazine. He always has that separate. Okay. All right. I just took it so that you wouldn't have access to the gun. >> So, you just took the gun so you he won't have access. Earlier you said something else. Her story about hiding in the tub with a gun because she was worried about her husband's drinking was peak delusional. She tried to claim they were fighting over the weapon, but her explanation of how it discharged was about as clear as mud. From the moment she grabbed that gun from the car, she knew exactly what she was going to do. I took the gun and I got in the bathtub because he was drunk and we were fighting in the tub. We were saying a lot of not good things to each other. So, I took the gun from the car, I put in my purse, and I brought it in to the hotel room. Left it in my purse. We were fighting again, so I brought the whole bag into the bathroom. So, what what did you do? >> you do with the bag after you went in? Like on the bathroom counter. On the counter. And you just had the gun in your hand when he came to the bathroom. >> purse. So, you got up out of the tub and he came in. >> on the door. I wasn't in the bathtub yet. He was banging on the door and he wanted in the bathroom and he like was saying things. Just like threats and things like that. On the bathroom door. And so I took my purse and I got in the bathtub and I just told him to like please go away. And he was like please let me in whatever. Well, then he got in the door and I was still in the bathtub and so I got in the bag and I got the gun out, but I didn't do anything with it. He like got in the bathtub with me and was grabbing the gun out of my hand. And the gun went off. I didn't pull the trigger. I didn't fire any shots. I didn't know. I'm investigating what happened. Uh-huh. >> So, how did the gun come out of the holster? Out of the what? >> Holster. The holster? >> Yeah. I don't I don't think it was in a holster. There's one on the on the sink in the toilet. Is that like a belt thing? >> No, it's like a little plastic hard case with it. I don't know. I think it was already out of the holster. It's the holster. I think I just dropped all the pieces. I'll give it I'll give it to you. So, have you ever fired that gun at all since you since you've had it? Never. I don't shoot guns. You just don't really upset for my life. And so I went to the bathroom and went pee and when I was on the toilet that's when he was like banging on the door and saying things. And that's when he came in and I got in the tub. The officer started pointing out the major holes in her story like the live rounds scattered all over the bathroom floor. Jackie tried to play the I'm not a gun expert card, but it was a pathetic attempt at playing dumb. She just kept [music] digging a deeper hole while trying to blame her husband's PTSD for her actions. So, I'm I'm tracking what you're saying. I'm following you talking to me. So, you're on the toilet. He's banging on the door. Why not just come in? The door's open. I don't know. I don't know. Why you wouldn't let us come in? Cuz I'm also concerned with the fact that there's three bullets like live rounds on the floor in front of the door. I didn't shoot any bullets. No, no. I didn't shoot three shots. I didn't say you were the first three shots. I'm saying like live rounds like somebody was make sure that the gun was loaded, you know. I mean, I guess I kind of blame you. I I'm really good at that, but so I I didn't I didn't put those there. I don't I don't know. Um at any time was he threatening you? I mean, he threatened me all evening. You didn't listen to the video on my phone. No, I'm talking about the bathroom. >> me all time. Physically, I'm talking about like Yeah, he hit me twice in the car. My daughter's witnessed it. So, yeah, this is like a normal occurrence. No, I'm just asking you. >> never shoot each other like this. This is it. I'm talking about upstairs in the bathroom. No. You see what I'm getting at? That there's no no need for that use of force if somebody's banging on the door and yelling at you. But he's drunk. And he's he's got some anger issues. I mean, he's a 100% disabled veteran. He's got PTSD and so many things. So, yeah. Sometimes for for self-protection, I didn't think that he would have access to it. I didn't think he would have access to it. Because I mean, for several factors. I understand that. But also for like self-protection and like I don't want him to shoot me Or the kids. Tell me I'm going to die or our kids. I said we should go. >> Shut up. You piece of [ __ ] [ __ ] hate you. Why did you hit me in the Shut up. You want that for our daughter? That's a good example. Why don't you shut up? You're not talking. How are you All right. They're both upstairs and safe. All right. All right. They're both upstairs and safe. Huh. In the end, this vacation resulted in a mountain of legal trouble and a family torn apart by severe stupidity. This wasn't a tragic accident or a simple misunderstanding. It was the violent climax of a degenerate relationship that finally boiled over in a hotel suite. While the legal system might have gone easy on her in the end, the psychological toll on her children is a debt that will never be fully paid. She was initially [music] hit with a heavy attempted homicide charge. However, the legal system was surprisingly lenient, dropping the big charge down to two measly misdemeanors for using a firearm while drunk and displaying it dangerously. She managed to complete a diversion program, which led to the entire case [music] being dismissed. If you think those kids deserve a fresh start away from all that chaos, smash that like button and share your thoughts. Was it a [music] fair deal or did she get away with way too much? It's crazy how a little girl ended up being the most coherent that entire case. Don't forget to subscribe so you never miss another [music] deep dive into these wild body cam stories.
