I didn't shoplift. I was going to go front. It's still the same. It's part of the statue. Removing a sensor or any type of security device. I couldn't put them on properly without it. Like and I'm going to get a charge. It's not cuz you like physically removed the product out of the store. I've never in my life. September 21st, 2023, Cherry Hill police responded to a shoplifting call at Dick Sporting Goods. A woman was caught removing security tags and hiding items worth nearly $580. She claimed it was to try them on. But was it just an excuse with a history of similar arrests? Was this just another incident or something more? Watch the video to find out. It's the same thing as yesterday. She's think she's over in soccer. So, she went in the room. She was in there for like 45 minutes. You could hear her popping in the tag and then like she's got a pile of stuff in there and all broken sensors in the pockets and stuff. So, she had a bag full in her shopping cart. Gotcha. But then they just brought her a pair of cleats and now she's over shorts. There's no sensors in her shorts. So she wouldn't be popping over there. But this was all Nobody went into the company and just everything she left it all in there. Well, she left some stuff in there. The other manager that was here was like, "Do you need me to get your other stuff?" And she's like, "Oh, no. Here it is." And other stuff there. So then I went back in and got it all out. Do you have anything? Okay. You guys uh want a sign? Do you have a not yet? No. No, we haven't got it yet. Yeah. And you guys get a sign. Yeah, the wor like this is the part I hate about was just here. We had to see. We found him. She's going to get you the value now. Appreciate it. Thank you. So just you know is going to be over 200 or not [Applause] $45. She's over there. I guess she still has stuff with her. Mhm. She says she concealed in her purses. Mhm. Is it like is it like concealed in there like bag? She stuff [Music] on the sur on the surveillance was would be able to see uh her putting the stuff in the bag. It's in the fitting room. Oh, okay. Yeah. That's the only thing you can see is coming in with a with antibiotic painful white shirt. Mhm. Wear the blond with the pony. Yeah. Yes. A woman turned a fitting room into her personal hideout. She spent 45 minutes inside popping tags like it was a bubble wrap party. She stuffed broken sensors in her pockets and tried to walk out with a bag full of cleats, shorts, and more. Some items were hidden in her purse or backpack. team. Well, he's helping her find baseball socks. And all those shirts have tag sensors on it before they go into the Yeah, most things do. There's some things that don't require that sensors, but a lot most things do. And everything that was supposed to have a sensor on it that was in there. Yeah. Okay. [Applause] We had earlier she had a bag. She left it over here for $600 some and was she got mad. So she was in there was in there for a long period of time. Exited handed clothes to the associates. So when she handed reporting to the associates, the sensors were removed and they were in the pockets and then that's not how they went in there. Yeah. So that's enough for us. I just want to know uh we'll take care. We'll come back here. So we'll take her out and then find her. So this walk up, say, "Hey, can I talk to you?" Slap the cuff on that. Yes, sir. You're good. All right. Thank you so much. I appreciate it. Hi. How are you? We got We got to talk to you about something. All right. We know you're uh shopping. No. Take them sensors off. [ __ ] All right. No. We know. I have stuff that I'm buying all year. So, listen. Hold. Don't reach in your bag. All right. All right. So, Miss Turn around. We're going to take the detain. I didn't even All right, let me put my jacket. No, no, no. You can leave this one out. I didn't even leave this. I didn't I can understand if I left the store charged, but I didn't leave the store. You can't pull sensors off merchandise even if you didn't leave the store. It was the the couple of them were in the way and some of them didn't have it. She removed the security tags and hid them, which is not allowed, even if she didn't leave the store. Trying to steal and saying, "I didn't leave yet," is like opening a cookie jar and saying, "I was just smelling it." If her first response is, "I didn't leave the store yet." She knows the process. Yeah, you're not allowed to do that for a security. But I didn't leave and it's in my bag to check out. This is crazy. Yeah. What's your name? Danielle. I mean, this is nuts. Can Can you put what's not This is nuts. I didn't even leave the store up there. This has nothing to do with that unless there's unless I was going to buy it. So, I was going to buy it. You're going to buy it? Okay. Yeah. Can I go pay? I mean, I mean, yeah. I mean, right now, I mean, we're not going to let you pay, but uh we're going to take all your personal stuff and if you they want to hold this on the side. Is this theirs or yours? I was going to get that for my son first. Okay. So, this is theirs. Yeah. See, like this is my thing. Like, I feel like this is illegal because I didn't leave the store. I'm You don't have to leave the store in order for me. Let me explain. But I'm like, Danielle, Danielle, listen. Listen. Hold on. Listen. So, yeah. I don't want to go to jail. I mean, listen. I'm saying anything, but I'm handcuffed. Hold on. Yeah, you're right. If you walk out of a store with merchandise you didn't pay for, you get arrested. Right. Also, if you remove sensors without leaving the store, if you literally remove a sensor from a product, that's considered a shoplifting charge. But I didn't shoplift. I was going to go front. It's still the safest part of the statute. Removing a sensor or any type of security device. I couldn't put them on properly without it. I mean, look at my butt. Trying to get an extra No, trying to get extra small. Look at my butt. Try getting the knees. All right. So, listen. I get it. All right. Seriously, I think you got your Some of them didn't even have them on. They're on there. You can get anything on. And if you can't get them on, you're supposed to go to the associate. Tag. You can't remove them. Yeah. Listen. No. Tag. No. No. No. Look. This is yours. Here. Yes. Let me grab. And this is your jacket, too. Can I show you something? Yeah. Grab this. I want to show you something. We can see it. Or Hold on. All right. And normally there's a tag in a shirt. There's always an electronic thing inside of there. Okay. So whether a tag is off or not, it's still going to go off from that. Well, you're not allowed to remove tags. You understand that? That's the That's the end deal. I thought if I left, that's stuff I was going to buy. Look, so the tags are not a suggestion. All right. You can't remove them. Uh but not all of them have. Do you have anything on you? Concealing like that. You have any shoes? My phone is I got your phone. I put on your personal products. Do I have to like Do you have anything else that's yours in this? This is your empty tool, right? I don't know. Empty it out. I was going to buy that stuff. I don't think I have Did you grab my jacket? It was a Puma one. Puma one's right inside with your phone. This is ridiculous. Like I don't want to get in trouble for this. Like I understand if I walked out of the store, you know what I mean? It's It's I didn't walk out. Yeah, but that's not why we're That's not why we're in this situation. Yeah. And it doesn't matter if you walk out or not is what we're saying. Most of them didn't have it on it anyway. They all like No, I promise you not all anything that had it. She kept saying, "But I was going to pay." Like it was some sort of spell. She even tried blaming tight pants for tag removal. She seems to believe that removing security tags isn't suspicious at all. Like who does that in real life? Was removed and in the pockets of the item that was removed from. Not by me. Yeah, I didn't remove all of them. I removed two. Oh, you removed two. Okay. Yeah. Off the pants so I could fit them. Okay. Okay. Uh, can you check through over there? Just check the bag over there. I'm grabbing me a little tight. Can I have just I I saw you. I saw you. I'm not I swear I'm hanging out. Yeah. Just You can let it You can let it hang. It's fine. Can't go nowhere. Can you lift all that up? Make sure that's mine. Well, this is all hasn't been purchased yet. This is all Yeah, I was going to Yeah, I know. I know. I mean, that's the freaking craziest part. I was going to pay for this [ __ ] I didn't leave the store. So, what? I'm getting a I can't charge my Yeah, I I don't I think you're missing like what I'm saying. Do I have to get down to the station? Like, and I'm going to get a charge. It's not cuz you like physically removed the product out of the store. You didn't do that in my life. It's because you remove sensors off of product. You can't to buy for you to buy. That's not your That's not for you to determine and for you to do. That's for them to keep using stuff in the tags in inside the tag of a shirt. So, I was this inside your bag. Oh, I forgot about that one. Oh, you forgot about it. Okay. Yeah. So, even in here there's stuff Yeah. that'll go off. I know. Do you have anything sharp in your bag I can pull? You've been arrested before? No, that's not You never been arrested. So, your history is crystal clear. Yes. Where you from? I'm from Manula originally. What are you doing up here? Well, I was taking my uh CNA test. Did CNA flottomy um CMAN? You living up here now? No. I was going to uh take the PSI test right over in those buildings down there. Real confusing. Uh I it's in my phone. I don't know what it's called. You know the buildings right down there? There's like a whole bunch of them. There was a treatment center there, a law firm, a whole bunch of stuff. I'm not trying to get a shot in charge. And yeah, when I was trying stuff on, I put stuff on top of my bag in that bag. That No, that's my That's my daughter's. I'm giving it to the gas attendant at the Waw Wa who helps me out a lot. That's your daughter's. And you're giving it to the gas attendant? Yeah. His name's Terrence. He He gives me free gas sometimes. He helps me out. He's a good guy. Look at the brand of them. Where where are you going to come from? Dick Sporting Goods. Another store. You know, you say so. Good. Can you push them in more? Cuz he want really wanted them. He really wanted. He did. She said the bag was for her daughter. She claimed she was there for a medical test but couldn't even name the building. Like seriously, her brain took a lunch break while her bag went shopping. Her acting confused had me dying. It was hilarious. She didn't even resist. She knew she was caught. Less money on plastic surgery. More money on sports goods for little Timmy. I mean, I can't my He's got to walk you out. I swear to God, I'm not embarrassing. This is mortifying. I mean, you got I'm not going over here. Listen, we didn't put you in this spot, right? We I didn't put myself in the spot either. I didn't leave the store. Didn't you just say that you popped off tags? You just said you did. Yeah, but I didn't know. You don't have to leave the store. I didn't leave the store. Okay. Just cuz you don't know something's a crime doesn't mean it's not a crime. You still can get punished for it. All right. Well, is there a rule book? Does it say it on there? There is. Yes. Where Where does it say? Does it say it on here? Where does it say on that? You can't pop tags. I want to see it written on here. You can do that as soon as you get released. Oh, let's go over here. Well, when will I be released? Once we get everything situated. We'll talk about when we get to the station. All right. ID in there. [ __ ] nuts. I've never heard of this [ __ ] in my life. You ever been arrested before? No. No. That's why right over here I'm not one of them and die. So I already know we're not saying you're a bad person. Can you have me get off me cuz I go right here? So hold on. So just move here right here so I can open the door. Open the door. I don't want anybody to do you want to Do you want She's Do you have anything? You don't have anything sealed. No. Why would I? Cuz people conceal all types of stuff on them on themselves. No, I'm not wearing underwear if you want to check. No, I don't want you. All right. I'm just going to pat down your shoes. Take them off. Ain't nothing in there. All right. You got a car here? Yeah. Yeah. There's no like there's no kids in your car or anything. Nope. Oh [ __ ] How am I going to put them back on? I told you not to take them off. No, we got to put them back on. No, I'll be good. We're going to go inside and handle whatever the Yeah. Can you like talk to him because I was going to pay for it. I even The guy was helping me. Shock. Well, we're not They all were helping me shop. You're not being charged with whatever was in your bag like over here. That's whatever you were looking at. Whatever was in your cart. We're not We're not concerned about that. You haven't done You didn't do anything for that. I All right. I mean, it's it's all the stuff that has sensors removed and that you physically handed to the associate that had sensors off of it in the pockets that went in with stuff on that you actually told him on camera. Yeah, at least moved two. So, if there's two, there's three and three on the pants to move so I can so I can get them. Do that. Yeah, but where does it say you can't do that? I'm not going to argue. No, I know. We'll go down. We'll make I've never heard that in my life. I'll even read you a statue. We'll get down there. Yeah, but like nobody gets a statue. sent in the mail. You know what I mean? Oh, just take just take a seat right away. Get a statue sent in the mail. What's your name? Her shoes came off, her excuses piled up, and she asked for a drink like she was at a restaurant. Ma'am, this is a loss prevention office, not a courtroom or a vending machine. She wanted the law book and a soda. Neither on sale. Danielle, please take a seat. All right, just study it. Come on. All right. Can I get my drink? No, you cannot. We'll give you some water when you get inside. All right. How does this work? Just sit right down. Sit down and we'll buck sit back in the back and then swing your legs in. Okay, here you go. You want to get these off? Yeah, you'll get them off inside. Inside, right? Inside. Inside. What? Inside the keep. Uh, where's her? Her wallet should be You didn't see no like narcotics and stuff like that? She had a bunch of prescription pills, but they were all like in her name. That's That's good. That's what I want to hear. Where's your license? I thought I saw it in my car. It's in your car. I thought I saw one in here. It might be old. That's fine. The old one's better than nothing. Bank card. Come on. There it is. Hold on. No, maybe. Well, that's her. Yeah, that's what I So, use that and then make sure she gives you good info. It's not her. No, Jessica. What is it? Let me see. That's not her. That's my cousin's VA license. Just get her info from Yeah, I got the cards. Yeah, I got her name right. She got a bunch of prescription pills and all another. I'll get her license. Use this. Oh boy. What? Nothing. That's just You don't got another one, do you? No. No. But I think a couple of this stuff. I think there's a couple tags ripped off of cuz the Nike pants are supposed to have tags on them, too. So, I I don't know. He's kind of the head around here. So, I don't Yeah, if you just want to give me I have I have the receipt that you gave me. But if you would help get a toll. Okay. I think she's doing it right now. Gotcha. Is there something Can we watch the video? Uh, yeah. Like Yeah, she was pretty. We're just waiting people to um once we get the We just want to see her going in with the stuff and then you said the bag was empty just she removed the tags, used her cousin's ID, and said the stuff was hers, but she had no license and the bag was empty when she entered. She was caught, but still said she wasn't stealing. Just wow. She has a long history of stealing that stops giving her breaks. She's not stealing. She's actually strategically transferring equipment or elements to an alternate location. She's like, uh, she admitted to removing two, which I don't care. The mission's good enough for me. But, uh, she's like, how are you supposed to know you're not supposed to get one? I'm 36 years old and I've never thought it was okay to remove a security tag in a store to put a product on. Break it to make the ink go off. Yeah. You actually see yellow ink on the shirt. Yeah, like that was forcefully removed the same. This is just the same thing. Yes, it's literally the same thing. Can't fix stupid. What do you got? That's a new. Yeah, that's the new total all together. Oh, so it's the eight plus. Yeah. Oh jeez. So 10 104. Yeah. 1040494. Jim crackhead. Do you have your license on you or uh in the back? Okay. Yeah, we'll go back. Although I do have enough pockets that I could carry it. Sir, did you need help with anything? What's going on here? Listen. Well, you know, we had Brett, who was our LP. Yeah. Where's he at? He left. Oh, god. So, I don't know if it's that or if it's just back to school, now we need new clothes for the kids. Change of season, you know. Yeah. Yeah. And then change of season, now I need sweats. Can't wear my shorts and t-shirts anymore. You know, y'all are going to know how old I really am. That's okay. Let me pull. I don't know if I can pull the security on this one. I always have trouble. She came in a long time ago. She's been in here a long time. Yeah. Has she? Thank you. She was caught again just like yesterday, but she kept talking a lot, giving silly reasons. She said she needed clothes for the new season and didn't know it was wrong. These thieves never shut up. They just keep talking and talking. To be fair, plastic surgery and a drug habit are super expensive. She's right. [Applause] [Music] I was asking him what time cuz he was the one that was The first saw her. Yeah, she was in there. She was in the changing room. We let her in there. Yeah, she was in that like a good half hour at least. It's not easy to pull those tags, those sensors off. No, we could hear them, too. You could hear them popping off the floor. All right, let's see. [Music] What's up for uh this report? Is do you need the paper? I'm going to talk to him. Yeah, probably. We'll be here forever. Yeah. Hey, can you guys grab those new boxes for me, please? One's hydration, one socks. All right. Thank you. They usually take this stuff at night. I don't know. She was here a long time, too. And like she was in the pit so long. I was like, maybe there's somebody else with her telling her that we're still standing there waiting. Yeah. But they they said she came in by herself. John. She stayed in the fitting room too long. You could hear her pulling off the tags. People thought she had help, but she was alone. She came to steal, and it was not her first time. Still, she didn't get in much trouble. I give her credit for not stealing those ugly crocs. The woman has class. It's like early 4:00. It's been there for a while. Yeah, cuz we were joking that it was like See, there's Sean. We were joking that it was like um 10 of and he's supposed to leave and the other person was in who dumped the bag. I'm like, great, now I got to put in that case. Mhm. So, every time he goes to leave, I have to do the case. 695.7 together. [Music] [Applause] So that's all you have is her coming in. Oh, wait. There's no cameras by the fitting room. Mhm. That's her, right? Yeah. Believe I knew she had her jacket. Her black jacket on. Yeah. So, that's at 4:05. So, she ended at 4:05. Except with the sun, it's hard to get a you uh your associates found more merchandise in that cart that she had that had missing sensors. Was that correct? That was the tag I mean the second receipt. Okay. Uh what is today? September 21. There's no cameras by the thing that I'm aware of. There was one yesterday that Well, there was one like in the eagle section. There's one in the eagle section that that's just that was the best one that he had. That's just cuz that's the one he was frequenting. Yeah. Yeah. She was on the women's side on the front one. Okay. These tag removers always sound the same. High-pitched and fake. I didn't even walk out of the store. I didn't go past the checkout. I couldn't even try it on. I didn't do anything wrong. I've never stolen anything in my life. Huh, drama queen. So, I don't know if there's a camera. I guess we can see the guy going in, but we just saw his car there. Yeah. Camera. [Music] And then cash register. That was a camera that he should have showing us yesterday. Yeah, that's the footwear. I mean, she came over here, but she already had her stuff in the back. In the cart by then. Yeah, that's why she said it. Yeah, she wasn't back there. I don't know that we're going to see anything there cuz she must not work anymore. And she wasn't over there. Cash off this entrance. Yeah, there's nothing by that fitting room. All right, we'll handle it. Good. Uh evidence. Uh, do we still email Josh for the for the Cuz he's the store. He's the store man. Same guy from Yeah. Same one from yesterday. Yes. All right. All right. Do you need a I'll give you a case card. Yeah. I'm going to have to enter [Music] 10 alpha. Can I be All [Music] right. Just pack one and short one. You can pack one and the other one. We can walk out and get it and we'll meet you up front. Yeah. Sorry. They just had a concert. Yeah. She thinks that being cute and saying it's for her son will get her out of trouble if she gets caught. A fortunate lady even got a ride back to her car after being taken to the police station. Stealing for your son. At least she's giving him the gift of a lifetime bad decisions. Mhm. I can't hear you too well. Okay. Yeah, I'm exhausted, too. Not from crying, but I'm exhausted, too. No, we work 12 hour shifts, but this is 13 for me now. I ain't see. I'm looking. And I don't see anybody. Yeah, I don't see anybody. Could be a problem. Problem outside. Yeah. 68. Yep. Don't be. It's part of the job. So, and you were cool, so I don't have an issue. Yeah. Well, I'm glad you weren't a dick cuz Yeah, you too. My brother-in-law. Oh, yeah. What township? Elk. Elk. Okay. [Music] Oh, no. We're all people at the end of the day. I don't like that's just a personal thing. I don't know about other cops, but at the end of the day, we're all people, so I'm not going to Huh? A lot of them had that out. I don't know. And it frustrates me like that's why like I wasn't hurt. Mhm. And I'm like, so he just wants to explain things to you so that you understand what's going on and why we're doing what we're doing. Where's your car? Where? Go up right there. The cops and workers agree they're just doing their job. And it's not about being rude. The officer even mentions how he treats everyone like people, not cases. Turn right here. Okay. Okay. Give me a second. 612 day watch [Music] 1096.4. You're welcome. Okay. She's done this before and got away with it by acting clueless. This isn't her first time doing it, and she keeps getting away with it. It's crazy that her charge was changed to disturbing the peace. Was she disturbing the peace when she removed the tags in the fitting room? Danielle's shoplifting charge was reduced to an ordinance violation for disturbing the peace. As part of her plea agreement, she was required to pay $530 in fines. In the end, if you enjoyed the video, hit that like button and drop your thoughts in the comments.
