On October 13th, 2024, officers from the Sanduski, Ohio Police Department responded to a call at Cedar Fair theme park after reports of a possible incident inside the park. What began as a routine check quickly turned into something more unexpected. This body cam footage captured exactly what happened during the officer's response. Hey sir, come over here. Hold on. I told him before he got to it, "Watch out where you're going." And he bumped the umbrella. Everything was cool. And then next thing you know, he started saying something to my daughter. Then he calls my wife a fat [ __ ] Hit me. And and so that's when I I said, "What what the are you doing, man?" And then he's like, "Well, I'll you up. I'll He's like, "Hit me. Hit me." So I flinched at him. That's when that's when he come at me, put him put hands on me. Then all I did was grab him and we fell over the fence. And I had him on the ground. And before I could do anything, I had three of his buddies smacking me in the head and [ __ ] And then we're trying to get out of there and they're following us. He come back, sucker punch me again, hit my wife, hit my daughter as we're trying to leave. Yeah. to go home. They're pursuing us. I'm I'm done with it. You know what I'm saying? I was done. I was trying to walk away and they keep pursuing us. Period. Okay. You know. Okay. So, this all started over a buck into the cart. Into the cart, which wasn't a big deal. You guys, he keeps coming at me and we're trying to leave. I'm trying to get the out of here and go home. was standing. That's where we were going when all this started was to our car. Instead of letting it go, another man got angry, shouted at the family, and even said something mean to the man's wife. Everyone told a different story, but one thing was clear. When people don't control their emotions, things worsen. Some grown-ups act like angry little kids. That's my husband. And the one in the red is friends that I take ownership over. It was a grown man. Grown man. Okay. He tripped on, you know, the walker stroller, whatever wagon, whatever. He tripped over. He said, "My bad." And he dude turned around, started talking crazy. Now, granted, I I will it absolutely meant my teenager's anger issues were not great. He turned around talking crazy. They went in the grass and start and I'm 3 ft behind the grass, dude. It was a whole thing and just started. He hit him in the face and threw him on the [ __ ] dirt. Said something about me bumping the stroller. Uh I said something bad, kept walking. His girlfriend in front of me said something and then like I was just like like [ __ ] like that. And then she turned around, she was like my boyfriend right there, he's going to beat your ass. D. He just walks up. Soon as she walks up straight, goes like this. I move his hand like this. I go like move his hand off of my stomach. Soon as he does that, he grabs right back up and then I just we just go over the fence and then like he's literally holding me like this. Literally just like that. And then like I'm just sitting here struggling to get up. And eventually the only reason why the only reason why I was even able to get up is because my friend over here, he's the one I came in was trying to break it up and stuff. And that's when he started swinging on him and that's when it was just like a big ass bro. Okay, that's enough. Who broke it up? Look, sit down. Please sit down. It's okay. We got lawy. Police tried to figure things out, but it was a mess. People were shouting about lawyers, guardians, and their rights. No one knows how to act in public anymore. And then that's when his girlfriend was like, he was like, she was like, "Uh, you shouldn't have walked into the damn wagon or something." And then he was like, you can see all the grass and dirt on them. And I bet you he's saying, "Oh yeah, he punched me. He assaulted me. Wait, what do I look like as a kid run up on some a grown ass man punching? Like, how does that even I didn't get his I didn't get his Where is he at right now? Ejected. I got ejected. [Music] I want my wife back, bro. Where is she being taken? Because she was part of it. So I did so I just saw that we were like the kid in red kind of tripped over the wagon wagon right and then the dad kind of and I there was some words exchanged. I did not hear the words that were exchanged. They were arguing though. Yes. There was some arguments and I saw the dad kind of are you taking her to the counter? I saw that and then there was some then there was a physical alteration. Um and then there was some jumping over the fence some additional hitting. Um, and then and then that was basically dad walked away. The teen was shocked that he was being blamed for assault even though he said he just tried to walk away. While the police talked to witnesses, the dad cried, begged, said he would cooperate, then started yelling again. It was hard to believe how out of control things got. The kids were calmer and more mature than the adults. Stepped in and was like, "Just walk away." Yeah, but that's it sounds like he was more so assaulted. There's a separate witness here called Exactly. Um, so your wife is going to be up front. So, we're just all going to walk up front and then we'll meet her up at the flag pole at the the main gate. When things get messy, listen to the police, stay calm, follow their directions, and don't argue. That's the best way to fix the problem without making it worse. The individuals involved are under investigation for assault and disorderly conduct following a physical altercation at the theme park.
