On September 24th, 2022, officers responded to a call about a domestic disturbance at a residence. It was a disturbing confrontation between Cali Mims and her partner Michael with claims of assault, threats, and injuries. And then he wouldn't like he he like I went to try to go out the back door and he shut the baby gate and I said I want my phone to call the cops. He wouldn't give me my phone. He wouldn't tell me where it's at. And then I said, "Get off of me." And I started pushing back and when I grabbed the scissors, he said, "I'm calling the cops on you." Okay? And I said, "You'll call the cops on you." Cuz I was already trying to call him. All right? And so he told me he was going to call him first. So to reiterate, and so when I finally ran out of the house, I finally got out of the house and I ran out. Did you run out the front door or the back door? The front door. So when you you initially tried to leave out the back door, correct? Yeah, he closed the door on the baby gate on you. No, when I first went out, he wouldn't let me leave and he grabbed me. So he wouldn't let you leave out the back door, so he grabbed you. How did you How did he grab you? My my throat. Did he grab you like with your his hands? He went like that. Okay. In an emotional state, this dramatic female made up different stories instead of telling the truth. She pretended to be the victim. But who knows whether she was telling the truth or just fooling others back and he knows he's stronger than me. Oh yeah, I understand. Yeah. And then after he was grabbing you, what happened after that? I know I know things are heightened, but And then I go through the baby gate. Huh? Into the front door. the front door and he he he took the the scissors. Oh, no. This is when I did that. He stabbed me and he said he said, "Get up." He stabbed me. When you were trying to leave out the front door? No. When I was trying to leave out the back door and then he went the baby gate out, but I went through it. So, I went over the baby gate and out the front door and he I took the Xbox when I was going to leave. Okay. When you were heading out the front door. Yes. And he said he said no. No. And then he grabbed me again cuz he wanted the Xbox. And I said, "No, get off me." And the Xbox. He said, "You break my shit." And then he that's when he said, "I'm calling the cop." I said, "Give me my phone." He said, "I'm calling the cops." And I grabbed his phone from him. Okay. And that's when I went back to the door. And then he grabbed me. He grabbed him again. And I grabbed the scissors and I threatened him with it. But the scissors are in two. So there's kitchen scissors. So one comes off and he had the other one. And when he was when he was scooping me around, he stabbed me in my arm and it hurt. Where did Where did he stab you? In my arm. Right here. You mind rolling it up for me? I told Right there. Yeah. So I I didn't want her to do anything to my mom again. And So from there, my mom stormed out and that's when Cali started going crazy. And what's going crazy mean? Like yelling screams and this is all my fault. This is she doesn't want to live. She's going to she's going to ruin everything. What was the first contact between you guys? Physical contact. I feel sorry for the boyfriend who had to deal with this type of girlfriend. When he started crying, everything took a turn for the worse, making the case even more complicated for the woman.
