This woman's over-the-top reaction didn't feel like real grief for her kids. It looked more like an attempt to avoid answering questions. She took the kids out of school and left them home alone while she was at work. This may have been intentionally planned to happen. Those poor kids didn't deserve this. The mother was informed at the hospital that her two children had died from injuries. Additionally, investigators discovered that she had locked them inside the house for over 9 hours while she was at work. The fire originated in the living room due to an overloaded power strip with multiple devices plugged in. Both children had severe disabilities, and sadly, they're no more. She was initially charged with two counts of reckless homicide and child endangerment, but the homicide charges were dropped. She pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and child endangerment, receiving a 6 to9year sentence.
