On March 12th, 2024, an officer with the Orlando Police Department was flagged down and notified by someone that there was a man passed out in his car down the street from them, and the officer immediately called back up to meet him there. When he showed up, the car was facing the wrong direction with no one inside the vehicle. [Applause] A faint yell can be heard and the officer starts to walk towards him. That's when backup arrives. >> I think we'll be good. Okay. >> After being transported to the hospital and getting medically cleared, he was taken to the Orange County Jail without further incident. He was charged with two counts of resisting an officer with violence, for resisting lawful commands and physical violence, and two counts of battery on a law enforcement officer for smacking an officer's hand down and for grabbing another officer's wrist.
