On December 1st, 2024, two officers on patrol with the De Moines Police Department were driving on the interstate when they noticed a car with no license plate light. The police report states that the vehicle suddenly stopped in the middle of the highway in attempt to get the officers to pass the vehicle. The officers then notice that she had expired tags, giving the officers multiple reasons to perform a traffic stop. The vehicle then suddenly takes off before moving to the far right lane and abruptly making another stop to get out of the car and confront the officers that were following her. Stop that. Hey. Hey. You ever har the shoulder, >> slams on the brakes, opens the door. We line it up walking up like we grab a wrist, figure out what's going on. >> She runs back towards the driver's seat. We're fighting on the driver seat and she just puts it on the gas while she's still in it. We let go. Nope. And then the car chase is on and she pulls in here. Can you grab my hat?
