But, she's got to be on foot, no ride, so. I might can try and see if I can go back and see her right away. She should be after that. >> The girl? >> Go, go, go, go, go. >> Sounds like they got the female over there. >> They got her? >> Yeah, well, they're they're probably going to get her right now. >> They have a description they can see her running? I tried to pin him up in our area and he got spun around. I had my door open, gun on him. He ran into my door as he's trying to get away from it. >> Okay, sounds like they have her. So, you're only going to have interference on her body. >> Yeah, so far. Unless she's got anything on her. Hey. He's in my backseat. Hey partner, these medics are going to check you out, okay? >> Okay. >> What's your name? >> Uh Jason. >> Ryan? >> Ryan. >> How fast were you going out there, man? >> Uh when we hit that corner, probably 25-30. He was trying to make the corner. I hit the back end, shoved him up into it. >> That's from him slamming me in my face. >> Okay. >> And the other officer smashed my face into the window right there, too. >> Okay. >> She tossed the bag over here. >> She did? >> Sounds like you remember her now. >> Yeah, see it or >> All right. They saw her toss it. >> Well, they're getting stuff from somebody over there, so >> I see him over there. >> I guarantee she grabbed whatever dope they had, and that's why she >> Your bag is by the gray >> Hey, that's somebody that got away with it. Her suitcase is by it. >> You just want to grab photos and bring it over? >> She smells like ecstasy. >> Yeah. >> Can Can we get him so I can look at his wrist? Yeah, the one that >> It's Ryan, right? >> Yeah. >> Ryan, you want to step out for me? >> Okay, good. We uh >> Which one hurts? Left? >> Okay. Oh, god damn. >> What do you guys want to come here real quick? I'm going to double cuff him so they can look at his arm. If you just want to come over to my left side here. Just watch that arm. Okay. Brian with a B? R- Ryan, okay. All right, this is the one that hurts from the wreck or from the From the interaction with the officers. All right. Can you squeeze it? Squeeze my fingers now. That's good. Two in the car, right? Two in the car, right? >> Yeah, two in the dark. Do you want to see if AC can come down? Ryan, if I take that off, should I cut your jacket? You'll be cool? >> Yes, I swear. I still can't feel on hand, though. >> Right here, sore? >> Yeah. >> Okay, yeah, we got something going on inside there. All right. Yeah, Ryan. Part of your wrist here's starting to swell up. Yeah. >> That that medicine will take care of that. >> Yeah. But we're going to need to take him in to get this checked out. Okay. So. >> You want one of us to ride with you guys? >> Yeah. >> Uh we have a trainee right now, so it might work out pretty well. Hey, Alex. Alex, you want to walk with him real quick? I'm going to grab the email. Okay. >> You slammed me in the face. >> Oh, shoot. >> Hey, buddy. I'm sorry. >> What are we looking for in his shoe? >> Uh we'll find it. It's probably by the car. >> No, it's over there on the other side by the >> I'll grab it for you. >> Okay. >> Ryan, we're going to step away from this squad vehicle and we're going to go up on that curb and walk over to the stretcher. Okay? >> We'll slide this out of the way. Watch your face, Alex. >> Ouch. >> As long as we can keep As long as we can keep this one out here, we'll be all right. >> There's uh dope and paraphernalia in there. You can I haven't searched it, but you can obviously see. >> Okay. >> And then there's uh spoons and para in there. If you want me to search it or if you want it, it's all up to you. >> Uh we can do it up on my hood if you want to search it. You can. >> But I didn't Uh there's bags and stuff. There's trace amounts in here. Yeah, but nothing really crazy. This looks bad but there's just broken pipes in there. So, we're coming across up before we got to Broadway coming south down on 3rd. I did a pit right when they tried to make an eastbound turn. He got spun around. That's where the first bit of damage came from his car. He got spun around. He's sitting like this with his driver door right here. He's yelling, "You broke my leg. You broke my leg." I drew down on him. "Show me your hands." He closes his door, takes off and it's those scuff marks right there where his car hit my door when I was standing there. So, I jumped in and then chased him the rest of the way. What's your name? Hey man, what's your name? >> Haley. >> Haley? You were read your Miranda rights already, correct? Okay. So, you know about your rights. All right. When you went over that way >> I'm spooked. >> Okay. >> I'm sorry. I I I told I He didn't stop the car and then he [ __ ] kept going and then he didn't I didn't know what to do I didn't know what to do like I didn't >> Okay. >> I know running's a bad thing to do, but >> Did you end up throwing anything else when you were running away? >> I didn't. I I I swear I promise I didn't. >> Okay. So, there's nothing by the crane or anywhere else? >> No. Nope. >> Uh is there anything that Is it Brian? Or Ryan? Is there anything he has in the car that he was running for any reason he was running for? We haven't gone through the car yet. You're not in trouble if you say there's something in the car. >> No, it's just we don't have tags on it like >> This was all without tags? So, I'm not going to find anything. Do you have any other property inside the car? Any backpacks, bags, purses, anything like that? >> No, but the car is full with a bunch of stuff. Not like drugs or anything, but like >> Needles and stuff like that? >> I don't think I don't think so. >> Bunch of stuff like >> Like girl like there's like a bunch of like the girls clothes and stuff and there's a bunch of stuff in there. >> So, you don't have any other property inside the car? >> No. >> Okay. >> Didn't find any additional dope down there. >> Okay. >> Unless you wanted to bring in the firmest allowed sniff, but it's kind of a big area. >> Yeah. No, I'm good with it. I might walk. He ran that way, What it worth thinking? >> You know, I have no idea how she got down there cuz there's no gate over here. So, she doesn't look like someone athletic enough to hop that >> What is that? 6-ft fence? >> 7-ft fence. >> But, there is a gate on the back side of this building if you come from First and Court, East First and Court. >> I'm just curious cuz his response to me, like we got here, he gets out, starts aggressively coming around the front of my car, and then, yeah, all the way to my driver door. I popped the dog out, dog gets distracted by everything. Um so, my dog didn't bite him. But, while I was dealing with him is when she took off. So, I never even saw her bolt. >> Yeah, she's going to be a third offense. I'm going to take her to jail. >> Okay. >> She's got warrants out of warrants. >> Thanks. Okay. >> I'm going to call the PO and then see if they'll file uh >> It'd be nice to just do it now. So. >> I'm I'll call him. I'll let you know. >> Okay. Thank you. >> My thing is that she was very adamant about that bag that and there's not a crazy amount in there. >> No. >> That makes me think she tossed something. >> That's kind of my my thing, too. You okay? You good, pup. RAC is coming. So, I started the traffic stop way up by Brass Armadillo. He brake checked me. This thing sliding. I never hit him there. We went south on Third. There's a little dead end road on 48th Place. He tried to make that corner. I tried the first pit. He spun, gave me this whole spiel about I broke his leg and something else when I drove down on him. And then, as I drove down on him, he's like, "He broke my leg. He broke my leg." Then, he slams his door. I'm standing at my A-pillar. >> They were both then transported to the Polk County Jail, where the man was booked and charged with felony eluding, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and assault on persons in certain occupations with a motor vehicle. The woman was booked and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, interference with official acts, and a warrant out of Warren County.
