On March 30th, 2024, an officer from the Wasaw Police Department saw a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. As he attempted to catch up to the vehicle, the driver accelerated and began fleeing north on St. Paul. St. [Music] Last [Applause] time on dunk right here. [Music] North on battery. He's going to come out to prospect right now. We're in pursuit of it. [Music] 19. It's rolled over on it. Top liner down. Copy. It's rolled over. Hey, 23. Oh, 212. [Music] 82. We're shutting down 6. Oh, damn. 212. We're shutting down northbound traffic. [Applause] I got you. Yeah, wires are down right here. Hong, watch it. It's right [Applause] there. Wait, anybody in there? Wait. [Applause] calling. That wire is snapped right here. So, you should be good. Okay. We can't tell yet. Can't tell with the side airbags. Nobody's in here. Unoccupied. Unoccupied. There's no way they ran from there. 212, can you guys start rolling fire? The car is starting to smoke up here. Stop. We're going to get the dog to track. Let's get out of here. bounce back [Music] after that. No way. He came out of that door, right? No. Doors are all closed up when we got here. So he either went out of window or No, he went out of window. Hey, can you just go stay in your house for now, please? Thank you. Okay. There tires here, so I be careful. Check. Check. Make sure it's locked. What? It's not locked. Your garage is not locked, ma'am. Can we search it? PD, if you're in here, make yourself known. Thank you. Clearing there, Dennis. What's up? Clear in there. Yeah, we're already back up for just one second. We'll try to put him back on it. Hello. Sorry y'all a little bit. Sorry. That's okay. I just wanted to make sure all my mail cuz I didn't get my mail for like the last two days. Oh, do you smoke your mailbox? Yeah, he took out half of it. Okay. I see a part of it underneath there. But I got you. Did you hear? Yeah. Okay. So, what did you hear? I heard it. It sounded like it hit something. Okay. It over cororrected and then obviously I think it rolled a little bit. Okay. Right. Did you see anybody take off in there? Okay. No. All right. But if you guys need to go down to the creek, there's some tires down there that'll take you all the way down. Okay. And then you guys can cut across and it'll go up towards the road. Gotcha. Do you rent or own this place? I own it. You own it. Okay. What's your first name? Gotcha. Okay. What is your That's All right. Sorry. I was just hoping it wasn't my daughter. I got you. A lot of skaters. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Do you by chance have any cameras out here? I don't. No. Okay. All right. So we're trying to We know who he is. So Oh, you Yeah, he's Yeah, he's known. Yeah. You guys open the door from here outside. That's it. What? It's clear. [Music] So, this thing still has power. It's trying to run. Okay. So, just so you guys are aware, for us to be able to actually cut the battery, we would have to lift it. I don't want to disturb any here with the dog. Just so you guys know. What's up? So Dennis is going to be coming through here with the north to see if he sure. Okay. Um, so yeah, we're going to try not to disturb at all unless you guys have to wait for probably WPS to get the wires out of the way and then I think it's easiest for Joe Raider to come flip it on its side and then you guys kill the battery or flip it back over or Yeah, I think once it's flipped, I think it'll be pretty easy. There's a bunch of oil and stuff um that's leaked and it's held up in there. Are you guys okay if we put oil dry in you? No, you can. Yeah, we don't like Yeah, at this point do what you got to do. We'll just we'll do that for now and then we'll just kind of stand by. Sounds good. Yeah, if you guys mind waiting around then we get I hope WS won't be WPS won't be too long. Yeah. Holiday weekend. What? [Applause] Jesus. About an hour and a half after the pursuit, dispatch received a call from a woman stating that her son had crashed her car and was picked up by a white sports utility vehicle. Okay. Did you take the car without your mom's knowledge or or was your mom aware that you had the car? She wasn't aware. Was she asleep? Was she up? She was asleep. Okay. I'm sure she's still asleep. So So why did you stop? That would have been an easy ticket and take you home. You're done. I don't know. I just I don't like the police. I've seen the the red and blues and it just scares me. Well, when you're going that fast, of course. Yeah, cuz we're concerned you might potentially harm yourself or harm somebody else on the road. Yeah. I mean, we stopped chasing you right before uh Franklin school there. There were no lights and sirens on anymore cuz we were concerned about your safety and other people's safety. And then you continue on your own at a very high rate of speed and he still crashed. Yeah. Okay. So, ambulance is on their way. Your mom wants you checked out. Okay. He got scared cuz of lights and that's what he's claiming for. I I read him with rights. He was want to talk to me. So, I'll call probation. It'll hold. All right. This is not my car. I should probably get my own car. Let me get mine. That's mine over here. All right. I'm going to help you out and go to amlets. Okay. Are you going to remain cooperative? Yes, sir. I'm going to take these off. There's no point in running cuz you can charge more. Yeah. Okay. As long as we remain cooperative. Just these just going to stay off so get checked out. All right. Okay. Do you have any weapons in here at all? No, sir. Okay. All right. All right. Go ahead. Will there be any way uh we could take my jewelry off? Uh let me get you a bag and you can empty everything out. No. Everything that I had was still on the ground over there in my phone. So you guys can take take care of you. All right. Hi, my name's Tucker. This is Zach and K. What's going on? Okay. So, you're at home north third. Yeah, I was working on a car. My hands are all I got. I don't have a driver's license. I haven't even been through driver's ed. I've been through all that already. And so, was up. I saw that he asked like, "What's the word on in town. Yeah. I said, "Not to actually [ __ ] if uh the one right back there, the driver of that car." Hey, what's up, man? We're checking out. We just got called back to check out Yeah, right over there. That guy. Okay. And I asked him, I was like, "Hey, would you be able to come get me and take me to Taco Bell and then bring me back home?" He said, "Yeah, that's no problem if I give him 10 bucks of gas." So, I gave him 10 bucks. So, he picked me up from my house. Exactly. And uh we went to Taco Bell up there and then I'm seeing the back on my phone on Tik Tok. I was eating my Taco Bell while just scrolling on TikTok waiting to go back home and he's like, "Hey, my buddy wants to be picked up." And then can we pick them up and then take you back home? And I said, "Yeah, that's fine." Like, I got no complaints about that. And I just went back to watching TikTok and next thing I knew, they were freaking out about a cop following us. And then we were pulled over and here we are now. Okay. All right. Nice. Um I've been doing as hard as I can to completely keep my nose clean. Yeah. Okay. No, you're you're good. That like I told you, like there's only reason you went in cuffs is because you don't know because of what had happened earlier with completely opposite of you. Um so um yeah, we're we're just going to sit tight here for a second. Am I able to go on my phone? Yeah, you're good. We're good to go.
