Video shows a mother and daughter, both nurses, battling to save a state trooper's life after he's been shot. Everything started as the state trooper pulled over this pickup truck. What's going on? He asks for ID and suddenly, out of nowhere, the trooper is hit in the leg and crawls away. Then the driver and his armed passenger get out. The gunman runs around to the other side of the vehicle, jumps behind the wheel, and speeds off. While the trooper was lying on the grass, the pickup's driver rushed over to help him. Are you okay? Yes, please. Oh my god, you got hit. >> the mom, daughter, and stepfather, who happened to be passing by, come to the trooper's aid, quickly applying a second tourniquet. Mom and daughter, both nurses, try to keep the trooper conscious. >> Look at me. Oh. You married? No, I'm not. No? Got a girlfriend? It was like a what can we do to help this guy to live another day. The grass was just completely covered in blood. >> Thankfully, the trooper survived, while the suspect did not survive the encounter with police.
