Dad. Dad. >> Alongside parents who panic seeing their children in challenging situations, there are still adults whose actions can make childhood even more stressful. >> Out of the vehicle. Step out on your face. Damn. [screaming] >> Take my baby daddy. My baby daddy. I'm sorry. >> I'm asking for more details than you keep saying. >> Are you going to let me talk or you going to keep talking over me? >> How did she feel? Security cameras, official reports, differing accounts. Let's explore the eyeopening truths behind each situation. >> In Illinois, a 7-year-old boy with special needs experienced mishandling in his classroom simply because he tried to leave the room as his focus medication began to wear off. >> Like, you like he a dog saying, "Get in the class." Like, he is bad. My son is on medication. He got ADHD. I gave him the medication. >> On August 8th, 2024, Illinois police received a call from Maria Yates School in Madison [music] reporting that a teaching assistant was seen on camera managing a first grade student inappropriately. When approached, she remained calm and did not immediately acknowledge the situation. >> How you doing? >> Doing good. How are you? >> Good. Let's go inside and talk for a minute. Is there a five on this door for us to get in? >> We can What about this one over here? Uh it might all >> get some information that there was an incident that took place today uh in the hallway. I'm gathering more information on that. But until um I do that, which I'm getting now, I need you to sit tight and you're not going to be free to leave. That's what the incident that took place in the hallway with one of the students. >> But what am I being detained for? >> I just told you because of the incident that took place in the hallway with one of the students. >> I understand that. I understand that. >> So that's why you're being detained. That's why you're not free to go cuz I'm looking into this map. >> But for what though? What is I'm trying to understand what's being investigated. >> The incident of what took place. >> The incident of what took place. I understand that. But what is being investigated with the incident? >> The handling of it. You feel as if that was appropriate >> to chase a student down to get into class. >> And then what happened from there? >> I put him in the classroom. He laid out on the floor, but I did I put him in. >> Did you take him? >> I had a hand on him. Absolutely. And he he was resisting. Yes. I didn't >> And that's what I need to look further into. But I'm going to tell you, it looks as if you drug him. And it also looks like there was a kick involved. >> A >> So >> this is crazy. >> So for right now, >> and can I ask who asked for it to be investigated? >> It's involved with a kid. >> No, I understand that, but I'm just asking district administration. Okay. >> This is coming from the top. >> Am I allowed to have my mother? >> How old are you? >> I'm 26. She's in the building. >> Have her what? Have her what? Like with you? >> Yes. >> No, she can obviously be in the building. We're not going to stay in here right now. Obviously, you didn't want to discuss this in front of everybody. >> I would rather be it be discussed in front of everybody else. So, I have some somebody else witness to the conversation. >> Well, well, there's a big witness right here that's being recorded. Okay. >> Then we'll be another officer here momentarily. But unfortunately, no not I need the phone up right now. You you are >> I can't be on the phone because I'm being detained. >> She's being detained. She's not free to call. I obviously don't have her in handcuffs right now. She can't be on the phone. Can't make contact. >> The boy's mother said she would [music] pursue the case if her child was negatively affected. I have you on speaker phone. I have Officer Brady here. >> I believe charges against this instructional assistant would be warranted. Is that something that you would want on behalf of your son? >> Yeah, if he did something um to hurt him or something he didn't supposed to do. Yeah. >> Okay. I don't >> I don't know the full details cuz I just came to work. >> So, I haven't got home yet to see my son when I take a break. I'm going to go home. Actually, I'm going to call my daughter phone so I can try to talk to him cuz um he didn't get off the bus until after I'm obviously at work. So, I don't know the full details, but I want to know. >> But we're at a point now that I think I would be taking her into custody prior to me taking action. >> After reviewing the footage and [music] confirming the details, officers met with the teaching assistant and informed that she could be held responsible. >> This is what's getting ready to happen taken into custody. You're going to be charged with at least one count of battery and probably trying. I will go over more with what exactly a charger will be. When I get to the station, officer is going to put you in handcuffs, come obviously pat you down. She going to transport you through the intake process. When we get to the station, when you walk all get to the station, you want to finish talking to building administration and district administration and I'll be also a parent of the child. You have any questions for me? No, go ahead and put your hands behind your back. >> Okay. >> So, when you go in there, tell her you arrested me, too. >> I just got to check and make sure you don't have any weapons or objects that we can't >> Having your ID will help expedite this process. You good? Right. Get it from your mom. >> Not unless you want to tell her that you arrested me. >> You're an adult. >> I don't care if I'm an adult or not. >> I'm trying to help you out, young lady. But but but hold on. I've been nothing but cool with you. >> You barely explain to me talking about an incident in the hallway that I asked for more details and you're like an incident in the hallway. An incident in the hallway. I'm asking for more details than you keep saying. >> Are you going to let me talk or you going to keep talking over me? >> I wasn't done talking. You were trying to cut me off, but I'm done. Don't worry about it. >> I explained it was an incident with you dragging a kid. I stated that twice. You know exactly >> after I asked for clarification. >> Okay. And after and when I knew that, but when I knew that, I explained that to you, >> but I had to ask more. >> Okay. It doesn't matter how many times did you get the information? Did you receive the information you were looking for? I told you I was I was >> I was investigated an incident that I was informed of. I told you I needed to get more detail. I'm going to ask you this part one more time. Having your ID will help expedite this. Do you want me to get it from your mom or would you like to sit in jail longer? >> It's in my car. Now I'm thinking about it. It's not even in there. So my person is in the car. So my car. >> Does your mom have access to that? >> She has my keys. >> Does she have your keys? >> She might. I don't know because I let my sisters drive my car. So I don't know if she has my keys or if my sisters took my car. >> Okay. You might live. >> Yeah. Yeah. I was going to do that anyway. Okay. >> I'll walk with you though. Have a seat. >> I got to bump you in. Okay. >> The school principal highlighted that the student [music] has special needs which made careful handling even more critical. >> What's happening up there? >> During class today or during the day 2:45, the student reported to me a lady in Brown him in upon investigation and viewing of the camera footage. We can see on the cameras that she does inappropriately the student down the hallway approximately 10 15 feet pushes him into the classroom and what is she by his clothes and his arm. >> His arm and his collar >> his arm and collar. >> So the one in the white is is she carry or he kind of holding the kid first >> on the leg? He was on [clears throat] the ground. >> It looks like he has his arm around him >> like this. He explained the [music] pain on his elbow. He said that his head was his response was that because class was boring so he eloped. He has an IEP so he leaves the classroom space often. He stated that he left the classroom space because he was bored. However, right before the incident was reported, we did hear a call from one teacher to the person who him to over the walk. She's not assigned to him. I don't know why that call was made to her, but a person called for her to respond to him being outside. The parents emphasized that their child take ADHD [music] medication and requested that school staff address situations appropriately without physical intervention. [music] >> Have did you speak with your son? >> Yes. >> Is he okay? >> Yeah. He was saying that his arm was >> Did you see him at all? >> I haven't seen him. I haven't been home cuz I had um I had to um go to work. So he going to be off the bus and said after my mom gone so my daughter was there. So he was telling her what happened. When I called she put him on the phone >> and what did he tell you? He said that she threw him against the wall. She him in class and then she kicked him in in the class. He said he don't know if she was kicking his leg so she can shut the door. I don't know if he was not letting her shut the door. I don't know. But that's what he told me. So if that happened in the hallway and pulling in the other stuff they got cameras. They should be able to see that. He said that she >> did. He said how many times? >> No. I just said she was >> after you get your ID out. You able to get him on the phone? >> He was telling me he look like a boy or something. I don't know the person. I don't know the name. I don't know how they look. He's trying to describe the person to me, but I don't even know who that is. He told me he was trying to get some water. And he wanted to say hi to the coach. And I'm like, but if you post, you should be in class. But people working in schools and working with people. I'm sure you are trained to deal with kids, not to >> obviously I don't know. I didn't see much of the preceding. I what I saw for they were standing in the hallway. Your son, it was another kid and then I believe it was three adult. They were walking down. They they [clears throat] stop to have a little bit of a conversation. For whatever reason, your son starts to run and she's saying she starts running behind him, catches up to him, grabs him by like the collar of the shirt. The way it appears, obviously, I'm not there. I can't hear. And you you see it, but the way it appears, the momentum for catching up to him and grabbing by the shirt, I think is what actually made him fall to the ground. It's not as if she like picked them up and throws them down. Does one of those motions. I think it was she was running, grabbed them. the momentum of her trying to bring him back. He hit the ground. Unfortunately, after he does hit the ground, she doesn't stop with him and just hold him or come right. She continues down the hallway >> by the in the arm area. Get to the classroom, opens the classroom door, gets to the door, kind of I'm not going to say throws him in, but kind of him into the classroom. He's she's still on the ground, legs closer to the door. I do believe and if he's very observant and and aware of what's happening for him to say that he think that she was he was because she was trying to get the leg in. That's what I believe and that's what I think they the school ad believes too for the initial but it appears as if there was another can't tell if it actually makes contact. We just see the leg motion cuz obviously there's no classroom yeah of a motion. >> But even if you get why you way she could call the guy or Mr. hunt to anybody help like you him like he a dog get in the class like he is bad my son is on medication he got ADHD I gave him the medication this morning I don't know what time it happened but I know the teacher was telling me probably after one close to two it wears out so I don't know what time he started >> that wasn't it was probably starting he get I get him right before he get on his so he get his butt you know his leg him doesn't go too far They are trained just like I am. I work with people. I'm working the home. Even at school, you are trained to work cuz you got different kind of people, different kind of kids. You do not them. You do not. They being like that already. You might have to stop step back for a moment. Not let them hurt yourself, but go get help. They have walkie talkers. They call each other. I don't even know this person and I don't even understand. Even his teacher, she know how to put him in his place. That's why I love the class he's in. He's on the honor roll now. He's not running out to school like he used to. She know how to deal with him and she know how to talk to him to get him to do things. >> And like I said, she him catches him out here. Classroom is back over here. You know, it's a wall there. She them down the hallway like it goes into the doorway of the classroom and everything else is happening here now. No. Right. So these people I know wouldn't have been able to see that. Now the if they continued to watch they possibly probably would have saw that, but I can't say for sure. But I don't know what they were doing after they started running. As far as the people in the classroom, they obviously wouldn't have saw the she would have saw the kid if they were looking at the door. But again, definitely don't know what's happening there. >> The same man. Why he didn't report there? Why he didn't say anything to the principal? >> That would be a question. >> But he the one called and my son wasn't. I never >> quick glimpse of the video and I actually I went and stopped the young lady immediately to make sure she didn't leave while I finished getting the rest of information. And that's when I called you. I need to make I was hoping you were going to say I was figuring you would say you would want to pursue charges on this but obviously I have to hear that from you versus your son and when she said yes she was taking custody. >> So what did she say? >> I have not had a chance to I've only briefly spoke with her. I spoke with her when I first told her she was being detained. I let her know you know being detained. I'm in the process of investigating the incident in the hallway. But she is in custody. She is going to be charged looking at possibly two charges. You are going to be charged. You're looking up. we have to charge based on only what we see in the video. >> So, with that being said, you're going to go back in the sale right now. I'm going to like to call him and then hopefully >> the teaching assistant has been charged with two counts of [music] battery and one count of endangering the life or health of a child. Under Illinois law, penalties [music] can range from 3 to 20 years in prison. Educational staff need thorough training in managing children's behavior, especially for students with special needs like ADHD to ensure every situation is [music] handled safely, professionally, and respectfully. No one could have predicted that a family's crisis would begin with a grandmother's poor decision impacting a child's life forever. >> She tried to grandma, shot the a six-month old baby in the face, and then tried to shoot the baby's mom in this. On December 9th, 2023 in Hamilton, Ohio, officers launched an urgent response after being notified of an accident at a private home that seriously affected an infant. Thanks to the quick actions of adults and medical personnel, the baby was safely transported to the hospital. The grandmother, realizing the seriousness of the situation, left the scene in her right now. >> Where she at? >> Right here. >> The baby's right here. The mom took off headed up toward Yankee. I don't know. When I pulled in, she was pulling up. >> What kind of vehicle? >> It's a silver uh Buick Enclave. >> What's her name? >> Oh, me and her. >> Suspect silver Buick Enclave northbound Yankee. >> Buick Enclave. I already passed it. >> Buick. >> She was going up towards Yank. Hold on. Right here. I just got here, so I don't know what's going on. Sure. Let me get a flashlight. >> Okay, she's moving right there. Hey, behind my belt. Grab his flashlight for me. >> Uh, where's your flashlight? >> I got it. >> Okay. The ambulance right here. Please just run to the ambulance. >> Hey, get the medics over here. Get the medics over here. >> Let them do what they have to do. >> So, when you get a chance, pass that information. >> Where's mom? Okay. So, are you >> I don't know where your hair is. I'm I'm a niece. I'm I'm I'm the baby's niece. I need I need to hurry up and get back to my neighbor's watching. What? >> Or I will go up there. >> I will go up there. I don't know what they doing. I worried about the baby. >> That's why. >> You're good now. >> You know what? >> So, I saw when I got upstairs, I brought my just for safety. I saw a uh one bullet discharge >> uh still in the casing. I don't know if she took the uh with her, but now we our kids at home. >> Okay. And this is your wife? >> That's my girlfriend? >> Girlfriend? Okay. >> Yes. >> We left our kids at home. You need to go with Hey, >> going on the squad. Are you dad? >> Dad. Dad. >> Hold up. I didn't know you're >> Hey, this is Dad. Is he good to ride? >> No. I'm back here. Okay. >> Oh, [ __ ] >> Hey, we'll get you there. I promise you that. >> Hey, hey, hey. Hey. Hey. Help me. You see Westchester. >> Hey, Dad. Dad. Dad. Hey. >> We're going to get you robbed. You're going to go to UC West. That's where they're going to take the kids. They're going to get everything they can. >> Hey, >> he's they're going up to UC Westchester. You know where? >> Yes. >> Hey, get in the car with your sister. I'll take it off here. Hey, >> let's go. Let's go. >> He's going to get a code. >> They're rolling with They're roll with the baby. You guys are good. >> I'll get this. I got it. >> Hey, do we have her phone number so I can ping her cell phone? >> She's not doing nothing. She doesn't have the phone on her. She left. >> She doesn't have the phone. the phone at? >> At least give me the phone number. >> Give him the phone. He needs her phone number. >> She doesn't have it. It's in the house. >> He still needs it. >> Oh god. >> Oh my god. >> Are you here? >> Oh my god. >> What does he got? Is he with her? >> He's right there. >> From Monroe. >> Where is it? In here. >> All right. Who's in there? >> You need to drive. Well, let's keep everybody out of there. >> They're going to go to UC Westchester. >> Okay. >> I know everybody's going. I'm We need to call. >> Who's in there right now? >> Nobody should be in there right now. >> There is somebody. >> Once officers located the grandmother in her vehicle, police approached, asked her to exit the car, and took her into custody. >> Get on [screaming] the ground. Step out. >> On your face now. [screaming] >> I got lethal. >> I got hands. >> I got hands. >> Got it. Female female custody. >> Female is in custody. 22 hours. >> Bring your knees to your chest. Stand up. >> Up. Up. >> The car with the open thing. >> Yeah. >> Passenger side for me. >> Yeah. >> This one? >> Yeah. This one right here. >> Do you have any weapons? Anything like that on you? >> No, they're in the house. >> Okay. Grab seat. >> Let me uh adjust these cuffs here. to earn. Actually, just trade them out. I'll put mine on. >> Earlier, several family members had been involved in a disagreement and the grandmother lost control leading to an accident that impacted multiple family members, including the infant. >> All right, slide in. Wash the door for me. You can move your hands now. So, they called and said they called OSP and said she was on the wrong way on 75, >> right? >> I picked her up at the turnaround to south of the rest area. She just slow rolled 55 the whole way here. >> Okay. All right. You're good, man. >> Let's make sure there's no other. They fill you in. What happened? So, she shot she tried to grandma, shot the a six-month old baby in the face, and then tried to the baby's mom. So, >> you mean your family members? >> Uh, yeah. That's So that's one of the family members. Yeah. Thank you guys for getting appreciate it. >> You guys need her name and all that. >> Is that Mia? >> Yeah. Mia. >> Okay. Oh, I think we have It's her car. So, >> I read the tag already. >> Yeah. If there's anything else you guys need, let us know. >> Yeah. I've got an M1 fail to comply. >> I [laughter] I I've compared Yeah. Compared everything else. I appreciate you guys doing for us. So, >> Yep. >> All right. >> Go ahead. >> Got the keys of the car real quick. It's already been checked through real fast with any other weapons. >> Yeah, we'll leave it there till Dan till the detective gets here. >> Do uh do one of the detectives want to meet meet him down at the sheriff's office? >> Yeah, we're waiting. >> I'm going to move my car closer so we can keep an eye on. >> All right. Okay. >> Wait. Dan's going to find out who's going down town and then I'll have to take her down here. >> They don't want us to work on statements or anything in there. >> He hasn't said yet, but uh I don't know if grandma they're checking grandma out now. So, we we can always get a statement from her. I got an oral one anyway. So >> you got what? >> I got an oral one now anyway. Sorry. >> Hey, Grandma, real quick. What's the baby's name? >> So quick. >> I am so sorry. >> Oh, wait a minute. >> Got it. >> Whenever you get time. >> Ryan. >> Ryan. >> Yeah, >> you said Ryan. >> I think it's Ryan. I believe it's >> or is it real? >> That was a fry. Oh, that hurts. >> That hurts. >> Yeah. [clears throat] >> You better play anything. >> Looks like a burn mark. >> Burn. >> What's the baby's last name? >> Uh, her last check really. >> Do you know the baby's date of birth? >> She was born 6 months ago. >> 6 months old. Okay. And you say it's Ry, right? >> Yeah. >> Fortunately, during the area inspection, no one else was significantly affected. inner 40 over here. I don't know. >> No, here in the whatever the adjoining unit was where they said they got a bullet. >> I think it's this one. You guys the one that has a bullet hole. >> But nobody Nobody's in here. >> You guys are the one that had a bullet hole to go through it. >> Yeah, >> but nobody nobody like that almost is close. He's coming. >> You roll here in a minute. I have to go up there and take a couple couple pictures of it. But it did get him. All right, I'm going to get out of here. >> I appreciate it. No problem. >> No, I think we're good. Who's the owner? >> Huh? >> Who Who's the owner? >> You. All right. I just need your name and your birthday and a good phone number. It's just because the bullet went through. And then once my camera comes back from down up there, I got to snap a couple pictures and then uh a detective might come over and talk to you guys again. Okay. And then just ask some basic questions and then I'll kind of go from there. Okay. >> So, what's your first name? >> Sorry. Enemy >> here. How about this? >> You just want to write it? [laughter] >> T. >> Yeah. Just scratch it out and do it underneath it. And then also put your birthday for me, please. >> Okay. >> And a good phone number for you. >> Thank you. >> What's up, young man? >> What I'm talking about. >> Thank you, sir. >> Yes, sir. >> And then once my camera gets back down here, take a couple pictures and then that's about it for me. And the detective might come back over and talk to you. They might want to take a look at it. They're on their way out here, so it's just going to be a little bit. Okay. >> It's good. They >> Oh, no. He's calling number four. >> I'm going to go take that picture real fast and then we should be good with these people. >> Okay. >> Yeah, they went back in. >> Is this house? >> Oh, no. No. That's the one that the incident occurred, but one of the bullets came through here. Hey, just can you point me where it's at? >> Oh, hold on a second. I got to take a sn quick picture. You're good. >> Oh, don't mind me. I just got to do is see a line of pictures is all that it is. It's You said it's upstairs. >> Yeah. >> And nobody's hurt, right? >> No. >> Good. That's not it, right? >> No. >> This one right here. >> Oh, hold on a second. Huh? >> So it's not going back in. Go this way. >> Go over here. Mia. >> Is her name Mia? Okay. >> Good morning, Mia. >> I'm Detective Turner. hang out here. >> The grandmother was later charged with three counts of felonious and improper discharge of a firearm and held without bail at Butler County Jail. In October 2024, she was sentenced to 9 to 12 years in prison. Court testimony revealed she had significant mental health issues [music] and required medical support. A year after the incident, people saw the baby for the first time. She was a happy and adorable child. However, her mother shared that she will face lifelong special needs and epilepsy. Don't forget to share your thoughts on this story. Just a minor bump on a swing turned an afternoon at the park into a tense situation. But who is really responsible? >> I see his little brother steal somebody's bracelet. That little boy in a white shirt is already stealing. >> On March 13th, [music] 2024, police were called after a report of a conflict between a woman and a child. At the scene, many parents and children had gathered around the swing area, creating a tense and anxious atmosphere. When officers approached, the woman initially blamed the child for the incident. >> Let him talk first. >> She hit She hit the little girl. >> You hit my child. I went >> She hit my little girl face. >> Come on. It took Liar. >> I have been assaulted. Okay, ma'am. >> Let me calm down. >> I would never look Hey, I'm going to talk to you apologize so you can find your way. not letting me. Can you guys all hang out together? Have an officer coming? All >> right. What's going on? >> I'm at the park. >> Okay. >> Like I come every now and then, minding my business, doing my work search, enjoying my time. >> Okay. >> Boy with the brace come sits next to me. >> The one with the white shirt? >> No, the one with the braids. >> Oh, the little boy. The little boy. >> A man at this point. >> Hey, one second. They're saying she's the little girl and that's a family. They are. I'm just having >> And do you see that girl scared all crying? >> Can we come back? Little boy sits next to you at the park, >> starts asking me questions, start having conversation. You don't want to be into nobody's skin. For sure I will have conversation with somebody's child. She then he tells me this is my mother over there by the swings. This is my little brother over there by the swings. I see his little brother steal somebody's bracelet. That little boy in a white shirt is already stealing steal somebody's bracelet already. >> Why are we yelling? I'm right here. I know >> you're trying to have them hear you. That's okay. >> So anyway, so you see I'm still on my swing. >> One second so I can I can be, you know, tracking. >> So much braids with black shirt is sitting next to you telling you his family. Then you see the other little boy with the white shirt steal somebody's bracelet. And then what happen? >> Well, I don't see him steal the bracelet. I see a bracelet on his wrist that's falling out. And I'm like, that is not your bracelet. It's not going to stay on your wrist because obviously that's a child's bracelet. Wherever you got it, you didn't have it. So anyways, let's put my wrist because it's falling off his arm. It's like this. Like if he goes like this, it falls off. That's how I know it's not even for a child. But anyways, kids like to impress. You know what I mean? I have a son and he's very well alive. I don't play. So anyways, no, I did not. >> I do. >> And I will not be charged for anything that I didn't do cuz I would make sure I push it. This is a liar. >> Do you have recordings of what happened? >> No, I do not because I wasn't prepared to be stabbed in the back. Say >> I have recordings after the fact. After I'm following them, after she >> One second. Can we backtrack? Yes, ma'am. >> You're swinging on the swing. The little boy's talking to you. See the little boy has that little girl which was very far behind chilling by herself. Then she comes next to me. >> My purse is on the floor because I'm on the swings. I need my hands. My purse is on the floor. Both my phones are on the floor. My phone at one point was in my hand, but my hand is straight to get tired. So, it's about time for me to like finish my routine. >> Gotcha. >> So, I drop the other phone on the floor. This little girl comes wherever the she comes from. She come stands next to me. I don't talk to her because I don't talk to people. I don't talk to strangers. If T wants to speak to me first, then I may entertain the conversation. You know what I mean? But I'm not here. Hi, how are you? No, I don't do that. That's people's kids. So, anyways, that little girl sits next to me. Maybe she's upset because I'm not addressing. I don't have to address I don't have to address nobody's kids and I'm no [ __ ] homeless. >> Okay, >> don't play with me. I would never be no [ __ ] homeless. So I make sure I got everything on recorded. Worst case scenario, I'm next to my little face my door. So she come and sits next stands next to me. I'm still swinging. They raise these kids to hate each other from a very young age. So anyways, that little girl picks up some dirt. She throws at me. >> She throws it at you. >> Yes. I get upset because I know when people raise people's kids, I don't care what that kid feels. A parent knows, especially in public. >> I don't like to be embarrassed in public. >> So she >> So I'm like, so I get upset. I have the every right to be upset. I don't have the right to hit a child, which I did not. >> We shouldn't raise our voices. >> Yes, I understand. But I have every right to be upset at the disrespect in which these parents are raising. >> So I scream. I'm like, "Hey, who the kid is this? Don't you know better that you throw no whatever I say, but basically not per verbatim. Don't you know better as a child to respect adults? You go as far as picking up some [ __ ] from the dirt to throw at me. Then she steps on my wallet. That's when I go crazy. I'm like, and that's a vigorous speech. I have the right to be upset. >> So what happens? >> So I'm like, "Oh, no, no, no, no, no. Your mother did not already teach you to steal from another woman." Cuz why are you stepping on my wallet? How do you know? Why are you doing this? >> So she steps on your wallet. You got really And then she comes wherever she comes from. I don't know if that's your kid because that boy when he came to me, he said, "That's my brother. That's my brother." He didn't say he has a sister. He didn't say he [laughter] has a sister at all. >> The lady comes out of nowhere. >> So any Yes, that lady in her pajamas. Let's make that clear. In her pajamas, I got outside clothes on. She is in her pajamas. She comes out. she comes from. She picks up that child, put that child right over that corner. Then she charges at me and she starts to me and I have to fight back as much as I can because you're not going to me. But I'm not going to actually fight you because if I have to put a case on you, I will. >> Can I get your ID real quick? Where do you live? You said you live nearby. >> 15 minutes away. >> 15 minutes away. >> Waller place. >> Do you walk here or do you drive? >> Yes, I walk here. I've never been to this side of the road, but that's why I make sure I follow them because I don't know which apartment complex they live in. If the last thing I do is show them where where they live, that's what I will do. >> I'll get your ID. >> Thank you very much. >> And then this officer is going to ask you it's a passport. >> Yes, it is. >> Yes. >> She expressed a desire to take legal action against both the child and the parents. However, [music] due to a lack of clear evidence, police only filed a report to document the situation. >> Right before that, Trump, right before that, Obama? Right before that, what? Bill Clinton. I don't remember anything else. >> So, listen. I'm sorry this happened to you today. Okay, these people want you to leave. >> Leave? Sure, I will go home. I want to press charges on her. You get her IG and I want to press charges. Look at my face and look at anybody else who has been hit. Only one person here has been hit. >> You said nothing. Nobody. You said >> that woman in a pink shirt, pajama, matching fit. Me and I'm not playing cuz I got sisters, I got mother, and I got father. I don't play. >> All right. Where were you? >> I don't pick size. >> All right. Can we stop yelling? Where were you hit? >> My face. >> Where in your face? >> Everywhere. Right here. I feel the heat. I feel the ting yell again. Yes. I feel the tingling more on this side of my face. >> How did she hit you? >> And I'm like this holding on to her hair because you need to get the out of my face. >> Turn around. Did you break your jacket during this or is it already broken? >> I don't know. All I know is I was trying to do my best to protect myself. She came from anywhere and she me and probably trying to steal somebody else's kid. I don't know. But what I do know is that boy had a sister. >> Listen. >> Regardless, I want to press charges. Who are those people? >> Listen. Are you going to listen to me or not? >> I am. >> Okay. >> I have all of y'all faces. I'm going to get my talking about some I got two attorneys. >> All right. What were you talking about? Demon stuff. >> What demon? You mean what I'm singing? The sent that they be listening to that they don't monitor their kids. What demon? Talking about demon. >> You're going to spit on me and I'm going to be very upset. So, were you talking about any demon stuff or anything like that? Cuz they're mentioning about you talking about nonsense and all that. >> You mean me singing lyrics? >> So, you're singing lyrics? >> The same lyrics. >> My baby daddy. I'm my baby daddy. I'm a son. >> Rose. Rose, I got some serious questions to ask you. Are you feeling? >> No, I'm not. >> So, you're not going to hurt yourself? You're not going to other people? And I'm going to get my attorney to do what you need to do. >> You're not diagnosed with anything cuz you got to make sure I am I am diagnosed with people disrespecting me. How about that? >> That's what I'm diagnosed with. Thank you. >> So listen, just walk away. >> No, I'm not walking away until I get my charges. I said I want to press charges. I'm not walking away until I know what's happening behind my back. >> We're going to do a police report right now. We don't see anyies. We don't have any witness. We don't have video surveillance. So we're just going to document this incident. Okay. >> One time it would very much show. Okay. >> So we're just going to document this. I know which part of my face is tingling. >> The case became more complex when the child's mother's statement differed from the woman's initial account. >> Who is all that was at the park? >> We just came and >> did anything like physical go between? >> Yeah, >> you guys me and everything. Yeah, she's my baby. She's three. >> She's got injuries. >> So, they did fight. No, she's goties. They did fight. So, so what she's saying is true. But she's saying that she bit her. So, she wants to press charges. She's getting press charges on her daughter. >> Can we calm down? We've already talked to you. Just hang up at the stop sign. Did you see her? Your daughter? >> I see her. My baby. I heard somebody screaming, but I ain't thinking nothing. She push. She says, "Whose [ __ ] baby is it? She's throwing dirt at me. She's too close to my swing. It's my swing." And I'm like, "Huh?" Like, "It's all kids at the park." >> So, she pushed. >> She pushed and I got up and Yeah, that's my baby. She three. >> How did you hit her? >> In her face. >> Okay. And how did she bite you? She bit me. How did that happen, though? >> She just started biting me, going crazy. >> Can you just write your statement? The faster you're done with that. The faster we're out of here and the faster you can go. Are you done with your statement? >> You don't see that? You don't see the trap house? >> Are you done with your statement? >> No, I'm not. If I was, I would sign it off. Thank you. >> You're doing a lot of talking. Not enough. >> I can if I want to. I can talk all day and you can sit here and get your hours in. Okay, then. >> All right, we'll take the pen. All right, grab your stuff. Just so you know, the security once you trespass on this property, you cannot come back to all of this property. My copy. >> Here's your coffee. >> So, once you leave and you get out, make left, and you could be out of the property. Okay? You hang out in the sidewalk. You can't hang out in here. >> So where's my citation that says I cannot be at the park cuz the park is over there. Who's the security? Should I like that? >> Security is right there. >> Who says I can't be at the park singing whatever I be? They be listening to >> because you caused a disturbance. So they no longer trespass and refuse to leave. They'll be subject for arrest. So you can leave raising stupid children and future not wise. >> My baby daddy. >> All right. Can you grab your stuff so you can leave another black man? I don't care if you don't protect me, but don't come at me cuz I can't protect myself. I don't trust. >> All right. We're not prolonging this. your trespass. Can you start leaving? >> Give me my >> I already gave you your >> Let make sure what it says cuz I can read. Hold on. Let's read together. 624 Bthoon Drive. What? This is Bthoon Drive. >> This is all of >> Says who? >> 624 is their office. This is all of their property. 624 Bthoon Drive. If you go there, you make it right. >> They're technically back over there. I belong there. >> No, you don't. You're trespassing on all the property. If you have any questions, you can call. I just told you you could call them on the phone. Google Lake Man office 624. >> Lake man. Lake man. >> This is Lake Man. >> Okay. That's Lake Man Park. This is a property. Can you grab your stuff so you can leave? And now you'll be search for us. I'm not playing your game. Grab your water bottle and start leaving all the way till you pass that yellow sign. Pass the sidewalk. >> Actually, I'm walking back over here. >> You're trespassing from there. So, if I were you, you want to go to jail or not? If I were you, I would walk that way. Go to that street cuz you're trespassing. Like, man, if you want to play the game, you'll be subject to arrest. I'll listen cuz I sometime I have a hard time trusting the police officers too. >> Initially, the matter could have ended with just a report. However, because of the non-ooperation, she was taken aside for further inquiry, leading to heightened tension at the scene. >> Police report card. I need a report of this whole thing. >> Yep. We'll give you a case number. Just have >> the case numbers also up there. >> Little girl. He's going to give you the victim's driver. >> A little >> That's what I'm saying. I don't know why she's here. >> So, what are we working? There was no communication. Yeah, because I told Mark. Mark went to go to the boat ramps. Apparently, there's two guys at the boat ramp who saw the whole thing and recorded it and helped her. >> We don't know that yet. We don't know what they have to say about. >> So, I'm going to give her my phone. >> We should detain her pending investigation. Yeah. >> What's going on here? Give me your hands. Give me your hands. Give me your hands. >> What are you guys doing? >> Come here. Stop. >> Ow. Ow. My leg. Don't me. >> That's why I told you to stop. >> Stop. Just stop. >> We're going to sit you up. Okay. >> Sit. >> Cross your leg. Where your injury on your leg at? >> Cross your leg. >> Is your leg actually >> Where's the injury on your leg at? >> My knee. >> Okay. We have to look at You're saying your legs? >> Yes. I don't know. I think it's him that stepped on. >> Okay. So, which leg is it? This one? >> This one? This one? >> This one right here. So, we have to look. That's an old scar. >> Yeah. That's just from bedding. No, my knees. So, what's wrong with it? >> What do you mean what's wrong with it? I already have pain in my leg. So, >> you already had pain there. >> Yes. And he just stepped on it. >> You're going to be detained pending investigation. We have witnesses at the park who witnessed the incident take place. So, now you you're not free to leave. Hang out until we get statements from the witnesses at the park cuz they witnessed everything that occurred. Okay. So, right now, you're not free to leave >> statement cuz the only witnesses at the park are the same people lying to me. >> Apparently, there's two guys at the park. So, we got to figure that out. >> Can you bring my belongings? The closer, please. >> Yeah, we'll grab your word. I know police officers have supposedly allegedly the right to lie. This is why it's hard for me sometimes to just >> Where do you live at? >> 15 minutes away. That way. That's why I didn't How did you end up over here? >> I walk from home stay here. I didn't want to walk that way when she asked me because I didn't want to have to pull out the GPS. I just I know the the direction from my house. >> What made you come in here though? >> Because sometimes I come here. I don't like to I'm not a party person. I party when my friends drag me out. >> I'm not saying party. I come to the park to relax, get some fresh air, to enjoy the scenery, to be by myself, listen to my music. That's why I come to the park. >> You mess with her kids. Is that why she was upset? >> I did not touch that child. I swear to God, I did not touch that child. I was literally sitting on the swing. How can I touch a child with both my hands on the swing? And I don't even know if that's your child. That's what I keep repeating to you guys. Do you know if that's her child? How do you know that's her child? >> Cuz she's saying it's her child and the father is saying it's >> What I do know is that's not my child. Bring your legs in. Bring your legs in. >> You took everything out of her pockets, right? Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. >> Sit down. I'll just scoot back. >> The woman was charged with child abuse and resisting arrest. Under Florida law, she could face up to [music] 6 years in prison and a $6,000 fine. This story serves as a valuable reminder about teaching children to respect adults and peers and how parents should manage their emotions during unexpected situations. I do have a plastic bag here. >> Why do you have food? >> The mother quietly pulled a small plastic bag from her jacket, saying it contains snacks for her child. It sounds simple, but is that explanation really reasonable? On November 4th, 2024, a traffic stop occurred when the mother was pulled over for driving the wrong way and having an unregistered vehicle. During the interaction, officers discovered she did not have a valid driver's license, which had been revoked since 2016, and had left her 17-month-old child home alone. >> Hey, >> you got the car in park? >> All right. Y'all look like they weren't going to stop for a minute. >> I was just about to turn around when you hit the corner cuz the do not enter sign. >> That's why we stopped in the middle of the street. You're the wrong way. >> Here. Can I talk to you out here? You're not in trouble. I just don't want to hear yelling, that's all. Um, are you the register of the car? >> It's not registered to me now. >> Okay. Who's it belong to? >> Friend of mine. >> Gotcha. Is that your friend that's in the car? >> No, not her. >> Is that a her? >> Oh, I I I'm not trying to be rude. I literally from this way. I thought it might have been a guy. Sorry. >> I literally went I came up the street and got midway. I saw the sign said I was just about to turn around, but I saw you coming. So, I was >> I'm going to be real with you. The reason you got that car up there like that, like nose to nose, is because I thought you were going to run. Not you personally necessarily, but I thought the car was going to run. Did you think about it for a minute? Maybe being real? >> No, I wasn't sure. >> Wasn't sure if you might just not stop? >> No, I wasn't sure if you were going to turn those lights on cuz I was just about to turn around. >> So, what brings you out and about right now? >> Just Okay. >> Going to pull over. >> Is your driver's license on you or is in the car? >> I do not have them right now. >> Okay. Do you have a a valid driver's license? >> Um, >> you have a look to me right now like you're worried you're going to go to jail. >> Well, it's not so much that it's just I wasn't not going to stop, but I was realizing that I came in the wrong way. When I saw the sign, it's just midway in the street. >> I understand that you do seem like you're afraid you're going to go to jail, and I don't really know why. Is it because of your license? Is it because of something else? Is there something? It's just my daughter. That's it. But I literally was taking her to the store and going to go pick her up. So >> my partner looked up your license. You've been revoked for a long time. You know your license ain't no good. >> It's revoked. >> Revoke since 2016. >> Please. >> No. If you would have told me that >> are you? Cuz I can the front lights for you. I >> ask that other guy who's a little >> It's my It's my truck. All you have to do is ask. Hey, >> perfect guy to look for that. Yeah, I can do that for you. You have anything illegal in the car? >> No. >> Are you sure? >> Does as far as you know this girl boy? >> Not to my knowledge. >> Okay. >> Things became more complicated when officers noticed [music] a plastic bag in the mother's jacket. Also, the passenger had an item that raised questions. >> Hey, your hair too long. hair too long. >> I got super short hair. What you mean? >> I'm talking. >> Oh, the beard. Oh, yeah. That'll do it. What's your first name? >> Victoria. >> Oh, you said it. Why you >> still I just I haven't met you myself. Do you still have a Texas driver's license? >> No. >> No, you don't. You don't have a vital license at all? >> I don't have a license. no more y'all get >> once we finish everything I got in this car. >> Okay, just hang out for another few minutes. All right, >> another few minutes, baby. Is that what you mean? >> Thank you. >> Appreciate my name and finish saying it for me cuz that mean search for her. We're going to We'd like to ask to search her, too. She will ask her. >> Yeah. I don't know if I'm comfortable with that because I just got my car from somebody I want to say yesterday. Yesterday or the day before they had my car like all night. So, I would not want to give consent to that because I haven't had time to clean it. I started earlier. >> You worried there might be something illegal in there? >> No. >> Okay. Well, that's all we're looking for. We're not looking for We don't care about a mess. What might she have? Well, where we just came from, um, I thought she put whatever she may have had up because she had me wait for her if she was on a bike. >> What do you mean put it up? >> She went and took the bike in the house. She didn't use the restroom like I waited. >> Like she put it up in the house or put it up somewhere on her. >> Yeah. No, it wasn't even where we were. >> Can you ask her for uh consent? >> Hey, do you have any >> Do I look like I killed around? >> I don't know. I'm trying to vibe, not >> all right. Do do you mind if the beam officer right over here searches you? >> Yeah. Anything illegal. That's >> anything illegal. The only thing you find in my is a bottle. >> Where's the >> It ain't a pipe at all. It's a bottle. >> A bottle. >> Man, we had told you what it was. Baby, she asking me false steel and I didn't answer your ass. >> Has she ever used any help? >> I'm not sure cuz I don't see her every day before. >> Hey, could you do me a favor? Can you go ahead and just step out? >> Oh my god. >> Uh, back. >> Y just cuz I had >> Yeah. >> So, I'm going. >> So, this it's a court date. That's all. >> Are you homeless right now? Should be back. >> Why is y'all doing that right now, bro? Is that why I'm going to jail? >> You're not going to jail. Oh, >> she searched you. >> Is that a Did you make a out of a mini bottle? >> Yeah. >> You return. When the last time you smoke, >> huh? Smart. >> Yeah. >> You get up. >> Oh, you >> Thank you. Sleep on there. What is that going to be? She can smell it. I know. I do have a plastic bag here. >> Why do you have this? >> Because I feed my baby snacks sometimes. So, >> you normally keep it like in her shirt >> sometimes just because when I go to prepare her snacks, I don't have one. >> So, she had a baggie on her that she claimed had her kids snacks in it, but she pulled it out of her shirt. >> She says she said I was like in the bra. Listen, Tangela. >> She pulled this baggie out of her shirt. Had nothing in it. >> Sandwich bag. >> Okay. You know that's not a sandwich bag. >> That is a sandwich bag. >> Intention, but that's not what it was for. Let's be real. >> You ask me. >> No, I already told him. I don't. >> Although both tried to explain, their statements were [music] not enough to dispel suspicion. >> I I asked questions. >> You too weird. That's not weird. I just I'm just very I'm very, you know, I know my stuff very well. That's why that's why I asked. >> All right, Victoria, can you do me a favor? We're going to walk to the front of this car. >> Oh, hell no. I know what I want. I'm not >> Huh? You want to sit down? >> I have to walk, please. >> I have to walk over here with you. >> Oh my god. They don't walk me over here and you say I'm not going there. >> No, just just have a seat. I'm not. >> See what is that? >> I need this car to stop leaking. >> I can't control that. >> What am I going to do for? >> You're just getting detained right now, >> man. You say that now, but what's the problem? >> No, >> I'll explain it all to you in a second. Just hang. >> So, what am I getting charged for? >> You're not getting charged. I just told you you're getting detained. I mean, I >> like I said, you have you have the that's a court date. >> So, what are you doing? >> I was just tossing in the back cuz I like to play that trickery. That's what that is. Yeah. >> Hey, I'm not on them games though. Nothing at this point. >> Lord, please don't take me to jail. >> You're not going. We're not arresting you right now. >> We'll explain to you what's going on. I give you a light here. >> Hold up. Hold up. Hold up. >> Asking you what's the problem. >> So, you guys are detained based off what we found in the car. Okay. >> What's that? >> Was in the car ain't got nothing to do with me. I ain't going home. Yeah, I I hear you. We'll talk to you in a second. Her over here. We're just going to have her sit in the car and wait. >> The reason I didn't want to get consent to search my car, my story hasn't changed, but my daughter's home. That's what my issue. >> How old is your daughter? >> She's 17 months. >> Are you kidding me right now? >> I was going around and this is why I didn't want to go through. >> Why on earth did you leave your 17-month-old home alone? Because I came to my friend's house and I was going right back. Like I said, when I went, she asked me for a ride. I was literally taking her and going home. >> Is your house unlocked right now? >> No. That's why I'm stressing so bad. >> Well, we're not just going to let you go. So, now we have to figure out. You have Come here. Come here. Take a seat. >> Go to jail. >> I didn't have anything. >> I didn't have anything. >> Where's the keys to your house? We need to go check on your dog. >> I have They're in my purse. Everything that belongs to me is in my purse. Where you at? It's insane. >> So, do you have anyone that can go over there right now? >> Oh, Lord. >> You're not going to jail. I just need you to sit down in the car. I just need you to sit down in the car. I'm going to I'm going to have the door open and we're going to continue to talk. >> After confirming that the [music] 17-month-old had been home alone for about 30 minutes, police began arranging temporary child care. However, the process was complicated because available relatives were either elderly or in poor health. >> All right. When did you leave your daughter at the house? >> So, it's been about 30 minutes now. >> It's 152 right now. It's got residue. >> Okay. I need you to be very honest with me right now cuz you've got a baggie in your bra. You said it's for your kids snacks. I know that's a lie cuz it's got residue in it. You keeping residue with your kids snacks? I don't think so. You're looking around like you're trying to come up with an answer. I need you to just be honest with me. Why do you have a baggie with residue in your bra? I must have left it in there earlier, but I didn't know it was anything in it. When he I don't want to move suddenly, but when he asked me, "Is there anything there?" I started pushing and I was like, "Oh, I do have a bag up here, but I didn't know there was anything in it cuz I thought it was empty." That was from earlier today. >> Not thinking that we would find out that there's >> Yeah. I didn't know it was anything in it. That's why I gave it to >> I understand. Do you understand why it's weird that you would just have like an empty baggie that you found earlier today and then it was just tucked in your bra? >> I didn't know it was still in there is what I'm saying. I happened to when he asked me, "Do you have anything on you?" And I started doing this. I thought it was my um the cushion to my bra. >> Okay. >> And so I didn't realize it was up there. I knew I had my bank card, but I didn't realize I had a relapse after 7 years. So >> there's a in a center console your 17-month old baby home on the side of your bed. You've got a baggie with residue in your bra. You told me that you relapsed, but you're saying that you haven't smoked in a while. I don't believe you. Here's what I think happened. I think that you know that she knows where to get cuz you know that she smokes. I think that she asked you for a ride. I think that you drove through 23rd Street looking to pick up. I think that you've got her in the center console with that. I think that you did a big loop around Moors cuz you knew that there were police here earlier today and you wanted to make sure there weren't still police here before you came up to Moors and you weren't paying attention and you drove the wrong way here cuz you were looking for police. That's what I think. I need you to be honest with me about what actually happened cuz I don't believe that you don't smoke right now and that you haven't smoked in a week because no one keeps a baggie with residue in their bra just by accident cuz I think it's something else in the padding of their bra. >> If I had I would have handed it to him in his hand when I found that baggie. I didn't know anything was in there. >> And I think you talked to my partner something about your you have a grandfather or someone that lives on Orange AB. >> Yeah. >> Okay. What's their name? >> Frederick. Her grandfather, she said, doesn't see very well. So, he may have to try to find another adult. How old is your grandfather? >> In his 80s. >> In his 80s. When you say doesn't see well, like can he care for himself? >> He does care for himself, but not great. >> Ma'am, is your grandfather going to be totally out of the question? >> I don't I don't think there's anybody else that'll come and get her, which I mean, they don't >> Are you okay with the car seat going to your grandfather? Does he still drive? >> What What's grandpa's name? >> Are you good? Okay, I'm going to go there now. I'll take the car seat and then in the event that uh >> Come on, Tangelo. >> Can you park my car? I can't park it. You can't park it. Oh, no. >> You got to go over there. You got to walk. You got to walk. The mother was charged with child and possession of a controlled substance. Under current Florida law, she could face up to 15 years in prison. Before leaving home, parents must always ensure their children are cared for by a responsible adult. [music] Even a moment of negence can turn a small mistake into consequences no one wants. Parents often think they are simply teaching lessons to their children, but they may not realize that repeated inappropriate methods can have consequences beyond personal concerns, potentially involving legal issues. Because of that slight little tap, he pushed his head went forward, so he off balance and fell forward. >> On May 6th, 2025, Mckenry County police received a report about a 7-year-old boy facing serious difficulties during a disciplinary situation with his father. They quickly looked into the matter. However, the father claimed it was just a light tap that caused the child to stumble, denying previous concerns. Nope. >> Stop. >> Hello, Sheriff's Office. Sorry to bother you. Hi. My partner Oh, I think my partner was trying to call you. My partner just had some questions. He's coming up. Sorry. Were you sleeping? >> No. Um, I was starting to poop off. Sorry. I didn't get any phone calls for >> Oh, yeah. He just got into I wasn't sure if he just started to try calling. But >> are you Kyle? >> Yeah. >> Hey, man. I'm Nick. How's it going? >> I'm good. >> Hey, sorry to wake you up. We were probably knocking and we probably sleeping. >> I just started hearing it in there. >> Hi guys. I actually tried calling to but I think the phone was off. >> I didn't hear anything. I was just letting her know I didn't get any messages or anything else that serious. >> Again, sorry to wake you up, but the reason we're here is I'm a detective with the sheriff's office. Okay. >> Obviously, there was a lot going on today in reference to and stuff like that. What What do you know about the investigation, the allegation as this? >> All I just know is DCFO showed up with the allegations and then the worker. Her name is they were asking her qu she was asking her questions because we have the two cars. One of them is down because of issues. I couldn't go anywhere. So had to take the kids to her mom's until they could go to talk to them over in Chris Lake. Other than that, I know nothing. >> Okay. So the allegation was talking about you. >> Mhm. Is there any wooden for that? >> I would not know what was told obviously cuz I've been here since they left about 4:00 and yeah left before they left. So since then that's the last I saw whatever they were told kid saying whatever the kid saying and so on. Don't know if whatever he said, but I would say I have physically not done anything to do anything to purposely. >> Okay. Oh, can you go into detail? Like, have you ever put hands on him? >> As sometimes, yes, there has been one or two times where maybe I have gave him a small discipline, >> but nothing too severe like a tap on the back of the head or something like that. So nothing that would leave marks. >> No. >> When was this tap on the back of the head? >> So this specific tap on the back of the head ended up being yesterday, Monday. During that time when I did have a slight tap of the head on him, he tripped on the pavement and fell forward on the driveway. >> In the interview, he admitted using mild discipline with no intent to [music] upset his child, explaining it was because his child was not listening >> when you tapped him on the head. >> Yeah. So I when we were walking down >> Okay. >> I had that little slight tap. >> Okay. >> And as he's walking down the driveway because of that slight little tap he pushed his head went forward. So he off balance and fell forward and then that's where he hit the pave. >> And you you were in the rope between disciplinary function. Was that being was he being disciplined for something? >> Uh yes. So unfortunately he had uh I don't know the exact thing that he was doing that he had caused for himself to have this slight little tap on the back of the head. >> But you don't remember what he did? >> I don't remember the exact cause that would cause for him to have to be the slight tap on the head. Correct. Okay. >> All I do recall is getting this on the head because there was just he wasn't getting the list. He was listening and he wasn't following the directions. I had asked he didn't. I do the slight and then he just gets starts basically falling forward cuz the hill >> and the tention's in the details man. So I'm sorry if I got to keep asking questions but I got to understand how what's going on. So you said he wasn't following directions. What was the directions >> for him in the mornings? His directions are basic. simply just get shoes on, get his clothes on, get breakfast, all that. >> Okay. And you said that you've only done this about one or two times. This is one of them. When was the other time that you disappointed physically? >> One of the other times was earlier on when I first in the relationship. I don't know the exact because of the year but there is just the one instant that we had earlier on same issue he wasn't listening exactly he was going too far he was starting to throw a tantrum >> and that's when I gave him this light on the hand >> on the hand and that was a little while ago >> yeah this was like over a year ago at this point because we've been together for about 2 years on Monday. >> I got you. Um, >> however, the child's marks along with his own account did not fully align with the father's statement, raising concerns for the police. >> Would there be any reason that would say you don't physically discipline? >> Not bad. >> I wouldn't have a clue on what she would obviously say or not. If she's saying I'm not physically disciplining, then she's probably saying I'm not physically disciplining in a severe way. >> Okay. And as for I I love transparency. I like being straight to people cuz it's it's only fair, right? You want honesty back. What said is that you him in the face? Is that true? >> Yes. >> Okay. That you him in the stomach? >> I don't believe I don't remember that one. >> You don't remember? Okay. Um that you threw him down. Uh there may have been a time where I've picked him up and put him down, >> but I never physically just threw him like I would throw a rock or stone. >> He said that it stemmed from a pant situation like he put his pants on or something. Did something happen with that? >> I don't recall. No. >> Okay. Did recall. She said it was yesterday morning. He had his pants inside out. You guys said no. You need to be able to put them the correct way and then you put on the wrong pair of pants. Does that refresh your memory at all or >> the putting on the wrong pants? No. The putting on the pants wrong. Yes. That's not the main why I disciplined him was because of the pants. No, it's everything is the listening. It was the not listening, not applying the >> And he had patches as well right here. You know what that was from? >> No, I would have to say that was from when he fell. When I slightly gave him the tap on the back of the head on when we were walking down the pavement, >> the the like were caused from the pavement. >> When he fell. Yeah. From what I can recall. Yes. From when he fell on the pavement, that's where they should be from. I didn't see any scratches until the agent was here. >> I got you. Did you see the mark up here on his shoulder? >> No. >> Okay. Have you seen the bruising? Like the stuff? I haven't seen anything. I've >> literally been home in silence. Nobody's called me. Like you said, you literally just tried calling me. There's nobody who's called me. >> They gave me the wrong number. I >> I don't know. I I could have called. I mean, if you don't have the phone number, um do you why would say that you seven? >> I don't have any exact details on why he would say what he's saying. He's seven. So, he's telling you the truth. He's telling you the truth. Whatever he said is what he said. It's all I have for you. >> That's fair. Um, is there anything that you outright think he's lying about? >> Nothing that would come straight to mind. No. >> Okay. So, you think said it, whatever he said, theing the throwing, none of that comes to your mind that he's just straight up lying at >> theing the throwing. Like I said, the throwing not like you're overhand throwing a rock down. No, I never would do that to him. happening again. Yes, I have him before. Again, nothing too severe to the point where it's going to leave a mark. Theing do not have any recollection. Never done that to the kid whatsoever. >> Okay. Um, he did have some marks like right here on his face and he said it's from you doing a double. I don't know what a double is. >> I wouldn't know what he is referring to a double either, >> but have you seen the little marks like right here? I have been shown on the one side of his face, uh, which basically would be his right side, >> little bumps right on his hairline next to his like ear. Other than that, no. >> Yeah. Are you talking about that marks that those >> I I would have to say yes it would be those marks but the marks that I was shown from >> were different but obviously those were taken today. The one on the shoulder I do not recall. >> And then this is his stomach. >> Okay. >> See all that discoloration? He said that was from being pushed. And then uh let's tell him and then the last one. This is that that scrape. Okay. And >> like I said, from what I can see, it looks like obviously fingers. Can you think of anything that would have caused that? >> I mean, >> would he continue to justify his actions to protect himself? >> At some point, I may have helped him get his pants on. And if you look at my hands, my nails, some of them are long. I got index these guys right here. >> Yeah. So there could have been a possibility that my nails him >> while you were getting his pants on. >> While I was helping him get his pants on, but I don't recall that happening. >> Was it like a struggle or like how are we going to put pants? >> Grab basically kids goes limp in the morning getting clothes on at times. So helping him is mile and a half. But basically I was telling him get your legs in. It was on the bed. I was in front of him getting the pants on. Then he for whatever reason he was just his legs, told him to stand up, turn around. That's when I grabbed them from behind him, standing from behind him and pulled them. So that mark could be from that. >> Okay. >> Again, I wouldn't fall. >> All right. What What questions you got for me right now? Uh >> currently none. Uh you guys are just doing your job obviously, so that's why you're here. was starting to doze off and then I was >> Yeah. >> went to the bathroom and near the docking and you know where here >> the most important factor evidence was what the father overlooked and it became the basis for police to take necessary measures. >> So >> we already talked >> whenever we had a kid tell us what happened they have marks that let's call cooperate that we have developed what's called proause. Okay. So, I'm going to be honest with you. You are going to be placed under arrest tonight. >> Yeah, I kind of figured. >> And I And look, I appreciate you talking to us. I wanted to give you an opportunity. Like, there's always that chance you have some exculpatory evidence that could that just means evidence that would completely like say, "No, this did not happen. This is how. Obviously, you didn't provide that to me, okay? And look, things happen. Probable cause is one thing. The courts is another." Okay? So, this is not the end all be all. But I do want to make you aware that you're going to be arrested, okay? >> Okay? >> You don't have clothes on. We're willing to accommodate, but we have to go in with you to your house to get close. >> Only you. >> Well, my partner, one of them is gonna have to hop. Okay. >> I I would prefer if you were the only person that came in, they can please stay outside. >> So, that's not going to happen. Okay. Um either we all come in or you're come with us. Okay. Know the door is locked. >> You got a searching for you that car. You going into one of those. You got anything? >> No. We're going to search again. >> Yeah, I [ __ ] know. >> Which one are you transporting? I can take it. >> Yeah. thousand cylinder or seven want to do it. >> Yeah. >> Your phone wall is going to ride up front with uh obviously >> cuz you'll need the coast back. >> No. Do you think >> if it's your transport? If if you're cool with him being trusted. >> My name's Eye Bergies. M county sheriff's office. Can you just can you just tell? Okay. >> Forward. >> Here's a situation. Okay. I got a small car as it is. It's going to be uncomfortable. You've been cordial with us this entire time. Are you going to be cordial with us all the way to the jail? >> Okay. I'm going to put the cuffs in your front just so it's a little bit easier for you to be able to sit cuz it's not going to be comfortable in there. We're not going to have any issues. Correct. >> Just want to put your hands in front of you. >> And once you get the deal, too, they'll give you time to write down phone numbers and you let her know whatever you want to let her know. All right, thank you. Let's go. We're going to go to the second squad back there. All right, we got to go to the back right side. Okay, give me one second. All right. Good. The father was charged with aggravated battery of a child under 13 causing great bodily class [music] 3 felony and two counts of domestic battery misdemeanor. Under Illinois law, he could face a combined sentence of 7 to 12 years in prison and fines up [music] to $30,000. Discipline should be rooted in care and within the boundaries of the law. Using inappropriate or physical [music] methods can have lasting emotional effects on children. For children with special needs, these effects can be even more pronounced. What came next was another nightmare exposed on August 28th, 2023, [music] and it was far more disturbing. >> I've never been arrested. I don't want the rescue to go down. I don't want like to go to jail. A report of animal te led officers to what looked like an ordinary home on the 600 block of Main Street in Echim Township, New Jersey. At the scene, they were shocked to find a 9-year-old child living in a house of horrors surrounded by over 30 dogs. Many still locked in cages alongside nine emaciated sick dogs, cats, and rabbits. The homeowner, Rebecca, gradually showed signs of avoidance, but eventually started to reveal information about the dangerous Parvo virus. How are you guys? >> Good. How are you? >> What? Who lives here? >> I do. >> You do? Okay. I'm officer Ladig Police Department. Just want to let you know you are being recorded. >> So, you know why I'm here? >> I do not actually. >> So, a gentleman came. He got those two dogs from you earlier. Okay. Those dogs are not taken care of in any way. All right. >> Yeah. That's um that's Lyn. She's the >> rescue. >> So, how many other dogs do you have? >> Me? >> Yeah. Eight. >> Inside the house? >> Eight. >> Are they a part of the rescue? No. >> Okay. They're your dogs. >> Majority of them are. Yes. Uh there's one with another rescue and there's two with another one. >> Okay. So, obviously due to the fact that the two other dogs that I saw weren't cared for. All right. I'm going to ask you if I can see the other dogs you had to make sure they're in good health. If you refuse to do so, I'm going to get a search warrant and I'm going to take those dogs if that search warrant gets brewed. I don't want to go that route. I don't think it's necessary. Make sure that those dogs inside are taken care of. Right. Are they taken care of? >> No. >> Yeah. And you're shook. Well, I mean, to be honest, I mean, we we battled um oh my god, Lyn, what was the name of that? >> Parville. We battled Parv um and there's still a few that are, you know, they still have coxidia, so diarrhea and you know what I mean? Like there's >> I get it. However, I still need to make sure obviously see them, make sure that they're all right, and then we can go from there. So, are will you allow me? Will you take me inside so I can see the dogs? >> I will happily bring them out to you. >> I'm not going to have you go back in the house. Right. So, it's it's either I I come in and see them or I go the search warrant route, you're not allowed back in your house until we find out whether I get that search warrant approved or not. And I don't want to go that way. I don't think it's necessary. Um >> I don't understand like grant like those dogs that the guy Andrew has, >> right? They were listed under Lynn's rescue. So, how does that >> They're in your care. So, the dogs are in your care. You have other dogs in there that are under your care. All right. So, the only reason I'm here is to make sure that those dogs are okay. If I deem they're not okay, I'm gonna ask if you are willing to turn those dogs over to me. If you refuse to do so, again, I just have to apply for a search warrant. Right. Right. >> Um, and that's only if I think that the dogs aren't being taken care of. And even if they, let's say, Parvo ravished these dogs, and it is what it is, it's understandable. If they look sickly, still going to ask if you are willing to turn those dogs over to me, and then we'll go from there. Now, again, my goal isn't to jam you up. My goal is only to make sure that these dogs are in good health and being taken care of. I can care less about everything else other than the fact that these dogs are taken care of. Right. >> Right. So, and I'm not trying to scare you and do all this stuff and I'm throwing search warrant out there. And again, I don't care about any of that. My only goal is to see these dogs, make sure they're okay. If they're not, then we'll get them somewhere so they can get taken care of and make sure that they are okay and then we'll go from there. So, and I do you live here? It's you and your husband and son. Anyone else live here? All right. Can you bring me inside to see the dogs? I don't care if your house is a mess, >> anything like that. >> Can I talk to you? >> What do you mean >> privately? Like, >> yeah, we could walk over here and they could hang out here. >> Thanks to Officer Leadig's calm and respectful approach, she slowly opened up, but that trust only led to a wave of horrifying confessions, making her panicly stammer. I don't want to go to jail. Hoping for sympathy. >> I'll have you once all this stuff. That's all I care about. That's that's the the immediate what I need to deal with at this moment. Um, if you're willing to do all that, we'll go that route and then I'll talk to you later tonight and we'll go from there. Either way, as long as you you work with me. >> I'm trying to Can you >> So, so this is this is what what I want. >> So, I'm asking like because I'm sorry like I'm not trying to be rude. >> You don't have to be. No, you're good. >> Can we just >> Yeah. Do you mind >> because of the whole like I I want to be honest with you. I've never I've never been in trouble. I've never been arrested. I don't want the rescue to go down. I don't want like to go to jail. There was I'm just saying with the whole parvo thing like what happens like >> so the dogs had parvo. I know what parvo is. Like I said the hum >> but what if what if let's say I wasn't able to remove it yet. >> So one of them's there and he didn't take the again. We'll cross that path when we get there. If if that's the case >> am I going to get arrest like in trouble? >> You're going to get in some trouble regardless. Am I taking you away in handcuffs and stuff? No. If you work with me, I'm not trying to embarrass you in front of your neighbors. I'm not trying to do all that. Whatever you want to do to make this process easier is only going to benefit both of us. >> Obviously, dogs in their dead. There's other dogs that are sick. My only goal right now today at this moment is to get those dogs out as long as you are willing to consent to do that. >> Goes a lot lot easier. And I get it. You're working for this rescue. >> Well, I resigned. I resigned because a bunch of happened because that guy >> at one point you were right. if you were in over your head. >> I'm just saying because like I saw like the full thing with like the schmong lady and her all over this is different. That lady had dogs in fridges and like that was a whole different situation. I I'll tell you when I worked for the the department before this one, I was in a very similar one to that where a woman was in over her head and when I went in the house there were dogs in freezers and kittens in freezers and like 10 to 15 dogs around the room and all that stuff. Is that this type of case or is it just the one dog, two dogs, three dogs that are How many do you have in there? >> You don't know. Okay. So, >> is my husband gonna get in trouble? >> So, let's let's do this, right? Cuz I I know they're in there. Will you consent? Can we get them out of there? Get them to where they need to go. I can make the phone calls and and we'll turn them over. The the dogs that are alive. After several minutes of persuasion, officer Leadig finally stepped inside [music] where Shepherd, Philip, Amelia, Miko, Athena, Maltes, New York let out their first cries of greeting. But many of those names already seemed completely drained of life. >> In this moment is for me to see the dogs, get them transported, get them surrendered so that there's a chance the dogs that are sick can be brought back to healthy and all that stuff. I don't care if there is flying down from the ceiling. I just want to see them. >> Okay. I was going to say because this morning what I do when I I do do the cage their cages in the morning and whatnot, but when they showed up everything got prolonged and me and Lynn, we get talking and then it just gets out of hand. So like their cages aren't done. So like it's going to be aing wreck. >> I got dogs. I've it it is more than okay. We'll just look at them real quick and we'll come right back out as long as I see them and we're good to go. You might hear me gagging a little bit just just because uh you're good stand. >> It's just you, right? >> Just me. I told him to stand here. You're probably going to freak my kid out, but I don't think. >> Okay, >> that was the one that left. That's the baby shepherd. She's sick. She's been sick. >> Okay, >> that Phillip is here. He's really friendly. >> And what about these? >> One there, one there. That's the other shepherd. That's Amelia. Then this is Nico. They're all friendly. They just make >> Are these are the disease going on stand? >> These two are >> okay. How many do we got here? >> One in each. >> Okay. >> Chameleia, Mo. Um, they were there was like two or three in there that got really sick and then nobody's done anything with. Athena is down there. >> Okay. >> And then the two multis are in here. Okay. >> And then >> there's a New York right there. >> Okay. >> What's most disturbing is that when officers said they have to hold all the animals, she reacted with shock as if she had just heard something unjust, not standing in the middle of a hell of her own making. >> But what'll happen is the cats will go to them until the court date and then you can get if the courts determine that you're fine to keep the cats, you can get the cats back, right? But for the time being >> and I'm not going to be able to get my personal dog back. >> No. No. All So >> I mean cuz all the rest are technically under different rescues. >> So So what happens is whatever dogs you want to s So today you're going to surrender them all. However, you tell the animal control because they're in their care from the beginning. You can surrender whatever dog you want completely and say I don't want anything else to do with this dog. You can also tell them this dog, this dog, this cat, this cat is mine. After the court date, I want to get them back. They hold those animal. >> They hold them until the court date. They have to though, right? They have to. >> So they can't adopt them out the animal shelter because it's a a police investigation. >> Either that or you let them >> No, I know. >> Go into homes and then why >> it's an investigation, right? So therefore, until the investigation is summed up, they cannot release those animals, right? They can't be adopted. They can't do anything. They they have to hold them stay there. They have to hold them until pieces of evidence, >> right? Until the court case is resumed and the courts either say yes, Rebecca can take them or no, Rebecca cannot take. But again, all that stuff has nothing to do with me. That's on the course. >> No, she she Lynn was just asking about the >> No, we're blocking her. One cat is on an herbal remedy to prevent him from reblocking. >> All of that stuff is what she would talk to the animal control officer when they get here about, right? So, they obviously have to care for the animals. That's why we are taking them there. So, if that cat is on some special diet or whatever it may be, as long as Rebecca relays that to the animal control officer, then it all gets >> Are you all right? >> I hope. >> I know. I usually bore you. >> I hope. Yeah, they'll be, like I said, they they can't do anything with them until my court case is until this whole thing is resolved. It's usually with animal stuff is they don't drag it out. It's quick, right? Because we don't want those animals being taking up spaces in the shelter that can go towards other animals. So, they they try and move in. >> Now, random random question like the one dog, Philip, who is listed under a different rescue, am I able to contact her and like >> you can do whatever you want when we're gone. >> So, she can't go claim the dog cuz it's hers, right? No, because it's part of this investigation. >> She she would have to wait until the court date or whatever. Okay. I was just curious because like I said, that isn't really even it's not my dog. >> Although she [snorts] claimed to be surrendering the animals willingly, an [music] argument still broke out. So, what exactly triggered the conflict? >> He's behind me. Apparently, he went to the shop. Like I said, I knew it. It's going to be filled with tile, but we're going to see. Want to see how bad it is. Maybe I mean, if it's too much, I'll figure something. So, like I guess we'll just see. >> I was just seeing if it was an option. If it's not, I'll figure something else out. my shop. I do. That's what I always >> No, that's fine. Well, I'll figure something else out. I'll figure something else out. >> Is it really that fun? >> You can't do like multiple trips. >> I mean, whatever it If anything, I could find Let's get out of the way for this guy. If anything, I could try and find a different something else for the time being or I'll I'll figure something out. Uh >> we'll figure something out. It's fine. If you got stuff in the back there, the shelter shelter doesn't want to take them because of the the bar or at one point, >> right? Cuz it's not it won't affect the rest of them. So, we got to It's the first time I've ever been told that. So, this is this is all new for for us here. So, we're trying to figure out what >> Well, that's the thing. Philip doesn't need to be in the cage. Philip can in literally anybody's heart. He's like the happiest dog ever. >> We'll figure something out. If worse comes to worse, either way, we'll we'll figure it out. just might take a little bit of time to figure to figure out here cuz they don't this is the first time where you've ever been told that the shelter by the shelter now. >> That's so weird. >> It's because of the barbo. So, >> which I Well, I understand that. And you can't, you know, affect the other dogs or, you know, animals there. I get I totally get that. >> We'll we'll figure it out. >> There's no no option. >> I can run back to the shop and take it off. >> Can I see how much something? Yeah. Can I see it? >> What makes you happy? Well, because some of them are only puppies, so it's not like they're huge and take up a lot of space. Put fill up in the front seat with you, right? I mean, do they all have >> I don't care. No, I don't care how you get them there. >> But somebody's going to follow them, right? >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I would be I would be following. >> To Rebecca, the dogs are her family. Powerless as she watched them being taken away. All she could do was choke back tears and plead to keep the only friend her family had left because she's 17 years old. >> Rebecca, there's just that one bigger dog, right? Yeah, it's the only big one. The rest are relatively smaller, right? >> Yeah, they're either younger puppies, like tall older puppies, but I think I think Philip is the biggest guy. >> He's the the only big guy cuz the hospitals are asking the size of them. >> So, Philip is probably 55 to 60 lbs. >> And the rest are >> Athena. She's probably yay high, about that long. But she she's one of the ones that actually had Parvo. Um she should be clear of it. So, she's underweight. >> We'll figure all that all that stuff out there. >> But she's Yeah. So, she's probably like a medium dog. I would say she's probably like because she's underweight because like I said she actually did get parvo. I mean she's not vaccinated. She probably is like 30 40 lbs. >> Okay. Yeah. So >> all the rest are relatively small. Yeah. >> So it's just that one big dog in >> Phil. Yeah. He's he's the biggest. >> And then the other one we were just talking about. So maybe like two bigger ones and and the rest are small. >> I would say Philip is the biggest at 50 50 55 to 60 lbs. Okay. >> Then Athena and then all the rest are >> in between >> in between puppy and and 30 lb. >> Okay, cool. I just need to tell them so they know where they're going and figure it out. All right, I'll I'll be back with you in a minute. >> Okay. >> I have a question. >> Uhhuh. >> With the only dog in there that is deemingly mine, and I've had her since she was 6 weeks, like I said, and she she unfortunately did battle parvo. Mh. >> Um, I know you said that they have to hold them, but medical wise, like I said, she she was vaccinated twice as a puppy, but she's not spayed. Is there a way to like not have that done or they just do that automatically? Like, how does that work? I mean, I don't care either way. I'm just trying to get >> to be honest. I I do not know. Okay. >> But when Maryanne gets here, she's the animal control officer. You could ask her. She that's her field of expertise. That's all she is the animal stuff. So, once she pulls up in in the big van, you can talk to her about whatever you guys got to talk about. >> I was just curious. I wasn't sure like how that all worked. Like I said, we were a part of the uh well, we were when I worked with the rest of you um part of the state spay program. She was supposed to be under them to get spayed for like the $20, which was fine, but they didn't start their new quarter until September, which is the only reason why she's not done. So, I was just >> when she gets here, >> I wasn't sure cuz the only ones really, like I said, the rest aren't mine. The only dogs that are mine is Athena, the Rody mix, and my cats. >> Yeah. Once she gets here, you can talk to her. She'll she'll let you know everything cuz I I don't know. >> Okay. No, that's fine. Yeah, >> you can say yes cuz this one minute already is right. >> I I only didn't tell her cuz it's my husband's dog. >> We're not worried about it. >> And she she's old and she's on her last leg. She's old. I mean, like, we're talking like 17 years old. She's old and the last thing I wanted was for her to go to a shelter and something happened to her and us not be there. Is there any way let him at least take her? The rest I don't care. You can take my dog. You can take my cats. Like I said, I only >> as long as the dog is in good health. >> Yeah. Yeah, she's she's she's on her last leg. She's old. >> When I look at it, I'll let you know. We'll see. I mean, either way, we just need to go through with >> I I just I I I'm sorry. I I worried because I was afraid that she goes to a shelter. >> What's your address? >> 680 that she wasn't going to live that much longer anyway. >> I got you. It's all right. >> You know, he got >> um That's fine. Just the one dog. >> Zena. Yeah, her name's Zena. And then um rabbits that somebody dropped off >> rabbits. >> I don't even want them. That's what I mean. The people they just show up and they're like here you deal with it or didn't tell you. Not that it I guess it was kind of long ago. We left to do something and we usually have that table for um like Amazon if they were dropping off like um dog food and stuff like that. I come home and there were guinea pigs on the table. Like no note no nothing. They began searching the house and discovered this one's about. The other two are already dead and decomposing. I'm going to be straight forward with you. Fair pulled the dogs out. Prosecutor told us to place you on arrest. >> All right. So, >> how does that work? >> What's that? >> So, how does that work? >> And again, I'm being super cool. >> I know. And I appreciate that. Right here. They interview you, they process you, and then the judge determines whether you'll be released or not be released. I believe what their ultimate goal is is to have you get released. But have you have have it so when you get released, you're not allowed to own animals. But again, I don't know. >> Right. And I like I said, given the circumstances and everything, everybody else put me through. >> I had your husband take your son inside so he doesn't see this. Let's do this. Let's walk over to my car. >> Can I finish my cigarette? I'm not going to go anywhere. >> Finish it while we walk over to the car. >> Oh, >> you don't need any of that. >> No, no, no, no, no. Can I just place this down? Is it okay to keep my phone on this way? I have it. >> Wait, we'll take it. >> I know that, but I meant like so like afterwards when all that happens, like, >> let's walk over there. >> All right. >> Where your son can't see? >> Yeah, please. >> In case he's looking out a window. >> Uh, he shouldn't be, but >> we'll go. Uh, >> he should be in. Stand right here for right now. >> Just face the car. >> Then actually grab your phone for me now so I don't have to. >> Can I power it off? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. But at this moment, you you are going to be placed under arrest, taken back to the station, interview process, and then from there either released or not released. All right. But you can smoke your cigarette, finish that, and then >> how does that's what I don't understand. How does this what is my tie to this? I wasn't with the rescue. You brought this nasty vile trash on a power trip. >> You're going to jail. >> No, I'm not. You [ __ ] are against your I know my rights. You infringed on my personal rights trying to go inside my house. You had no reason to detain me. >> I gave you a lawful. >> You had no reason to detain me. >> Yes, ma'am. I did. >> What? >> I'm here for a call for >> dispute. That's not a reason to detain me. >> Yes, it is. >> I did not commit a crime. A domestic dispute is not a crime. So that's why I know that you're in trouble. >> Resisting with battery on Leo. >> No. >> Yes. >> I came out to bring my husband his bag of clothes so he could leave. He grabbed my arm and told me to stop. I told him I came back into my house to grab my phone so I could record this. Followed me into my house. Came into my house. Me and my child into the door whileing to tase us. That is against my right. I was not being detained for a crime. A domestic dispute is not a crime. I want his badge number. >> You'll get it. It wasn't the first time she had an outburst, and not the first time the police were called, but this time they were forced to intervene. We're looking for your dad, buddy. Oh, >> hey, Paul. Sheriff's office. >> It was only me, him, and the baby, and my dad, and my mom. >> What's up, guys? What's been going on? >> My mom was speaking out at my dad. >> What were they arguing about? Nothing. >> Oh, me and them were putting the dishes away, and my mom's getting >> cuz you're putting dishes up or doing it the way she wanted. >> Turn that down for me. They start arguing about you guys. Something simple. >> Yeah. >> Okay. We were putting dishes away and she was in her room that she >> heard the noises. >> Is she on something today, man? >> I have no idea. I've been gone all morning because we got into it this morning.
