But no, you can't keep doing that. >> You don't live here though. >> She snatched my chain off. That's why I was holding the door open and let her close the door. Smash my chain somewhere. >> We'll figure it out. >> You know what I'm saying? >> So what happened today? You came over last night. >> I was here all day yesterday. >> Okay. >> Got food, everything. She blew her breath on. She smelled smoke on her breath. So she like, "You've been smoking. You been smoking." Oh, sorry. Put your fingers in my face, man. So she like, "Well, I'm just trying to get that. I understand." >> So she like she like, "You've been smoking. You been smoking." And punched her in her face. Jump on top of her. All four all four on top of her on the couch. She could just going like this. She smacking smacking. I'm trying to be like, "Hey, tell her. Hey, you doing Hey, you're doing too much. Hey, get off her. You're doing too much." It's my kid. She going to grab a hammer, grab mace, hold me off with hammer and mace. I can't stop her from doing [ __ ] You know what I'm saying? So, that get calmed down. And then in the morning, I just woke up. I'm sweating like this cuz I was in the shower. We got a guy at the on Manchester Road. I had a car there. He was doing work on my car. We both used him as a mechanic. I introduced her to my mechanic. >> Long story. I had some tires. She was going to put some tires on my car. They couldn't fit. He said he'll keep him at his shop and he'll sell him for. Long story short, the guys that was working at his shop, he got in an accident. He was down for a while and the guys that was working at his shop stole all the [ __ ] out of his shop. So, I'm telling him, well, damn. The rental was at least worth 500 bucks. Can we split it out the middle 250 to be fair? He said, "No, you take me to court." I said, "Let it. I'll just make a post about you. She's good at that." So, I tell her, "You know what? Just make a post about the shop. Let people know how he us over and this and this and that." She tells me, "Okay, I'm in the shower." I call her upstairs. She's in the She's using the toilet. I'm in the shower. So, I look out the shower. I said, "Babe, did you make the post?" She said, "I'm going to make the post." I'm going to make the post. She said, "But I wish you I wish you would have did this be after I could get my car fixed." I said, "We don't need him. We're not I'm not giving duh. Why would I give him some money? He just stole my You know what I'm saying? So, I'm like, "Hell no." She like, "Well, he didn't do it to me. What?" So, I'm in the shower. She take off downstairs. I said, "Come back. Come back. Let me finish talking to you. Come back up here." She's gone. She's gone downstairs. So I'm jumping down the stairs like, "Hey, I already have another mechanic to fix your car. We don't need him. I got three cars. I got mechanics. We don't need to." You know what I'm saying? So she gets mad. I still want to go to him. I said, "You know what? If you go to him, you'll spend your own money with them." Then I get out the shower. So I go in the room to get my clothes. She got my clothes, my watch, my jewelry, everything in her hand. And she got a hammer in her hand and and mace. And she's like, "Get out the house." Of course, I'm not going to get out the room. So she grabs the clothes, goes by the window. Like I don't throw the clothes out the window. dog over. I said, "Mother, get me my clothes." Smash my clothes from her. >> Listen, man. Stop trying to grab on me. >> I'm sorry, bro. I swear. I grab my clothes from her. It's endless. I swear. I grab my clothes. Trying to act like she was going to hit me and hit me. I'm about to do it again. Act like she about the head with a hammer and the door. Beating the door. I just go like this. >> She's just beating the door on top of my head. So, she wants to go sell or climb my chain to get the car fixed, which is still my property and my money. >> And then I'm standing I'm standing out here. She She pulls back. She gets up in her car, leaves, go down the block, come back, park over there. I stand in front of the car. I say, "Can I just have my chain so I can go?" She drives on the gas like like enough to push me, pushing me, pushing me, and then she bags up all three yards, drives forward towards me like she's going me, you know what I mean? I move out the way. When I move out the way, she go, she swerves the same way I I move out the way. So, I got to try to double move out the way. And when I do that, she clip me and I fall in the dirt over there on the ground. And then she stops like she cares and she comes and she parks right there where that car is at. And she just sits there. And the whole time like she I was on the phone, she knocked the phone out my hand. I get the phone that everything. >> From the other side, the mother admitted raising her voice to [music] the child with special needs, but said the father had created the tension. >> She won't answer the door. I knocked. >> I'm not opening my door for her. >> No, you're fine. I knocked. So I didn't know. So I got my sister-in-law on the phone just for purposes. >> Yeah. So boom. Okay. This >> this started from let's say he gave me $175 for my car to get fixed, right? >> Okay. >> So, he calling y'all telling y'all I him with my car because I told him to get the out my house. He was in my shower. >> Okay. >> This morning I get up, mind you, he in the shower. He's doing his ritual routine. He pulled the shower curtain back. He was like, "Yeah, I'mma make a Facebook post about Justin talking to me crazy. He want me to uh he told me he going to sue me. I got transportation issue. I got many minor children in the home. He telling my daughter, I recorded him some of it. He said, "I got you. I'mma tell him that she you. I'mma tell him that she beusing. I got you. I'll never leave you. I never forsake you. I got your back." I said, "What type of is this? We're divorced. We've been divorced since 2023." >> Yeah. >> June. >> Yeah. >> I don't got to make this up. This man don't live here. He's not on my lease. He does not live here. He came and stayed the night. Okay. He has his own house, Maple Street, Maple Dale. He trying to stir up the pot and say all of this so I can go to jail. And then he got access to my kid. She 14 years old. She's disabled herself. I caught her smoking last night. Okay. >> I said, "What was you smoking? You can ask her yourself." She sat right here cuz I told her, I said, "You can for restit she get to go certain places with her restit worker." Right. So I said, "What I if I tell your restit worker what you think this is going to be, you know what I'm saying? You're smoking. Period. Point blank. That's a nogo. He hear me frustrated. You know what I'm saying? So, I'm out here on my back porch smoking my cigarette away from the kids getting the clear. >> I've been on the phone with her. She been in my pocket >> the whole time hearing everything that's been going on. Why? Because I want somebody else to witness this. I just went through this with this man in 2024. He tried to keep me barricaded in my room. So, I did. I took the hammer and if you go upstairs right now, you will see this hammer holds in my door because I'm like, "Let me out my room. Let me out my room." >> Can we see that door? Do you care? >> No, cuz I don't got nothing to hide. >> Do you still have his chain or something? He's saying something about chain being >> y'all can look in this. >> Between these opposing stories, [music] the child's well-being became the key factor, requiring careful consideration of the next step. >> And you try to put on the pressure on the 14-year-old. Yeah, >> Dad. She's saying she want to get you in the car and she is. >> I'm scared. >> No, I'm scared. >> No, dear. I lose your nose in the light. >> What was the address? >> Did you brush your nose? I must try to hit you with this. >> Please. >> No, I just want to >> right there on the bridge. Does that look to you? Just I mean cuz I don't know her nose. >> This side. >> Yeah. Okay. It's like >> cuz I just I I don't know what I see happen. I see Lee cover her face and then like I just I turn my head the other way cuz I if I'm if I'm looking at the Yeah. Like I can't I'm going to react. You know what I'm saying? >> Does that camera record my house? She can she can watch them on her phone. >> Can I see your camera? I probably >> So y'all got to take me to jail. >> I I want to see what happened. >> Oh, >> you're allowed to discipline your child, but it just depends on >> Right. When I disciplined her last night, it was me yelling at her. >> Okay. There was >> very It was no physical contact. >> Okay. Can you just show me just so >> I don't know like these cameras the way this camera these cameras is is is it don't like it don't say data >> if you keep going down. >> Yeah, it's not. It's just 8 to 8 to this morning. Anything from yesterday is not going to be on here. [clears throat] See what I'm saying? It's going back to this morning. >> Tension peaked as gaps [music] in the mother's account became clear, placing her caregiving role at risk. What are we doing up here? >> I I just was picking up his stuff and >> trying to see if I [ __ ] with his chain or whatever. Y'all he was missing. >> That's it. >> All right, man. We're going to We're going to walk outside. Okay. >> Y'all about to take me to jail. >> Just walk over here, please. >> Can you answer that? >> Walk over here, please. >> Is that a yes? >> I'm asking you to walk over here. >> I'm asking, sir, so I can put on a shirt. All right. >> So that that's what's going on. We're going to go downstairs and talk. We're going to figure out if there's somewhere that we can have your kids go to. >> That's why I said, "Can you grab my phone?" >> Yeah. Where's your phone at? >> It's nothing in >> We're going to walk this way. Come on. >> Are you taking me to jail for no reason, bro? >> Just stop. STOP. >> NO, BRO. You're going to go You're going to go on the ramp, >> bro. Swear to God. Swear to God, bro. >> Stop. >> This is weird. How the happening, bro? >> It has nothing to do with the guy but what you did to your daughter, >> bro. A RESTAURANT WORKER DID SHE TELL YOU? DID her restaurant worker just tell you, bro? >> The atmosphere grew heavier as the child became emotional. The mother remained focused on the dispute and the father was drawn into another issue involving her relatives. >> She don't have nothing to do with CS. So what is she going to see? >> Mom is arrested. This is our procedure. >> But if family pulling up to come get them, what did y'all do that for? When she told y'all her family was coming to get the kids. We were coming to get them. >> Do you understand procedure? >> I understand procedure, but some of y'all procedures be gone. Y'all be trying to go over certain things when I'd have been to situations where I pulled up and grabbed kids. We have did that. Call me. >> Yes. >> You want to go back inside, dear? >> Come on. Come on, dear. >> THAT'S ALL Y'ALL WANT TO DO, BRO. >> YOU DON'T WANT TO GO IN THE >> YES, IT IS. >> ARIANA, COME HERE, BRO. >> I'LL TAKE THESE OFF. I GET MY PURSE. ARIANA. ARIANA. JACOB, >> SHE PUT ME IN MY HOUSE NAKED. SHE WOULD NOT GIVE ME my clothes. I'm sorry. Let me talk for a second. >> My chain off my neck and got HALF OF WHAT YOU'RE COMPLAINING about my clothes. >> Listen for a second. >> Oh god. >> CSB CSB wants the kids to go with people they know. They like to give the kids to the family. They'll probably go with you anyway. But you have to let CSB. >> But what did Joe call CSB4 when she said >> the allegation is basically >> you made an allegation on her like your man? It's cool. Her >> I made AN ALLEGATION ON HER. >> HOW ELSE WOULD THEY come here to everybody in the HOUSE where you KNOW ON HER KIDS? >> SHE CAME TO THE DOOR AND CALLED THEM. She went right to the door instead. YOU KNOW THAT HER DAUGHTER GOT CAUGHT UP IN considerate and she said leave me here with them in front of >> you guys do not stop. We We'll help her, but you you got to give us some space to do our work. Okay. >> Well, I'll make sure she's safe. I will. >> The mother was charged with domestic violence. Under Ohio law, she could face up to 6 [music] months in prison and a $1,000 fine. The case stands as a warning. Unmanaged stress and limited emotional awareness can push situations too far, and the ones who suffer most are always the children. 2 3 4 5. >> You're not mistaken. This was how the mother tried to show she was alert during a roadside check. On August 15th, 2024, responders were sent to a two vehicle incident where children were present. When they arrived, the woman appeared disoriented and uneasy and tried to step away from the car. She insisted she was alone, even though details around her suggested otherwise. Hey, miss. Miss. Hey, miss. Hey, police. Stop. Miss, stop. >> Yeah. >> Hey, you good? I need to know who else is in your car. Miss. Nobody. It's just you. >> All right. Is this your car, right? >> Yeah. >> All right. Hang on for a second. All right. Thank you. 17. We're going to need two toes. Two toes down here. Everyone is conscious breathing here. Hey, >> are you zone four? >> Yeah. I was going to say you probably want someone to shut off at rock. >> Yes. This lady when I got here, she was walking away from the car. It's a heavier set female with the jeans on. She said she was the only person in the car. And uh I just checked this is she said this was hers and then these two are all right. But I'm just going to have them sit there till the fire department gets here. >> Okay. Just make sure she gets checked out. >> Yep. I will get the witness information and then talk to this this heavy set female over here. >> Who is the one driving the >> other vehicle? >> That was me. >> That was you. Okay. Uh do you have your driver's license on you? >> Not on me. >> Not on you. >> Okay. >> Are you okay? >> Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just like so disturbed. >> Well, I'm going to have the FD check you out just to make sure you're okay and all that just because of >> I'm just like so disturbed. I was like coming here straight around the corner and I think like my brakes went out or some [ __ ] Yeah. Uh why don't we step up here? That way the traffic can still get through. >> Okay. You sure you're good to stand? You don't need to sit or anything. I just don't want Okay. Kind of. What happened? >> So I'm driving around the corner and I was wanting like 35 40 around this corner and then my car like you know this curves coming and it just like wouldn't stop and I'm like trying to stop it. I'm playing the music. I'm trying to like calm my I can't calm myself down and it just would not stop. >> So were you going you were going this direction? >> Yeah. >> Okay. And then did you did you go across the medium? >> I think so. >> You think so? >> No, I'm pretty sure. Yeah. >> Okay. >> I think my brakes >> the driver of the vehicle that's over there. >> Yeah. Any of these he broke? >> No, >> I don't think so. I think they just stopped. >> Just stop. Okay. >> Yeah. >> Ma'am, are you uh do you do you need to go to the hospital? >> No. You You feel okay? >> I feel fine. >> Okay. Was there anybody else in the car with you or just No. >> Okay. >> Do you have a license? >> Yes. >> Yes. Is it in the car? >> I think so. >> Okay. You want to walk over there with me cuz I also need to get a picture of your insurance. >> Look at that. >> How? >> Huh? >> How? >> I don't know. But look at that. >> That's an indicator. >> Okay. So, you were going north. >> Yeah. >> You said the vehicle just You tried to hit the brake. >> Vehicle would not break. >> No. And then you went across the median and then you that car that was going this way. Oh yeah, it looks like you went right about here. >> The mother kept offering explanations for the concerns. When facing pressure and possible responsibility, many people deny the truth even when it is clear. >> Smell anything? >> Kind of. >> Uh, where in your car would your license be in insurance be? >> Oh, no. I'm sorry. That's not mine at all. >> What the Can you guys do like this? >> H >> Can you do it like this? My license and insurance is right there. >> Right where in the in the driver's seat. Did you just push it push it up? >> Oh, both. Okay. >> I have the actual car, too. >> The actual car. Okay. >> Hi. Were you the only one in this car? >> Mhm. >> Are you ready? Like I literally was driving down the street and it just like I came around the curve and it just went out. >> Were you going this way or this way? >> I was going that way. >> You're going this way. So did you end up over the median then? >> Mhm. >> Did you rear end this car or >> I Yeah, I re that car. I the car the car was going this way and then like I tried to like swerve and like stop. >> So this car was going this way. >> Mhm. >> So was this after you hit the median and then you this car? >> Okay. >> What spilled on your uh leg? probably passed. >> How'd you How'd that happen? >> Okay, Britney. >> Right. >> You want to grab How about you stand right here? I need >> I need you to >> Yeah. I need to talk to you for a little bit. Okay. >> Yeah. >> Okay, Britney. I need you to be honest with me. >> Have you had anything to drink tonight? >> I mean, maybe like 4 hours ago. >> Four hours ago. Okay. >> What did you have to drink? >> Uh, White Claw. >> White Claw. Nothing major. >> Okay. >> I'm just like my heart is beating. Is everybody okay? >> I don't know. I haven't talked to the other ones. The FD's over there talking to them, so they're going to kind of find out. Okay. When was the last time you ate something? >> I've been on like a fast food diet. >> Fast food diet. >> Yeah. Like I've been fasting. >> Like Oh, fasting. Okay. So, you haven't had any When was the last time you ate something then? >> Today. >> Today. Mhm. >> About what time? >> Maybe about noon. Noon. Okay. So, when you talk about White Claw, just about about what size was it? >> Just one of 12 oz. >> 12 oz. >> Yeah, probably earlier today. >> Okay. >> You said one white purchase first cuz they >> Before you before you got in the car? >> Nothing. >> Nothing. I'm trying to figure out that your papers weak of alcohol. They >> No, they don't. Yes. No, they don't. They smell like my uh oil that I put on. >> Your oil? because that smells like either a beer or a selzer. >> I have this in my review right up there. >> I'm just asking that. And then also by your car is a sol is a red cup. >> No, that's not that's definitely alcohol. >> Okay. >> Probably with the paper and everything. You got to tripping. >> You got to tripping. >> Also, you're stumbling all over. Your speech is very slurred. >> First of all, first of all, I just got into a car accident. You guys have to take that into consideration. >> We're taking everything into account. The paramedics also did come ask you if you needed medical attention. You're telling them you're fine. So, as far as I know, >> this isn't be this. You're you walking and your speech isn't because of the accident. >> I'm fine physically, >> but like mentally like this has me up. But other than that, like no. >> If there wasn't alcohol in the car, what was in the cup? Cuz clearly something spilled because your papers are wet and your pants are wet. >> If you take a look in the car, I have oil in the car. I have I buy oils from this lady. I have oil in the car. >> Where would the oil be? >> Kind of dashboard thing. >> Take a look. Take a look. >> I have oil in there. >> When asked about the children, her confusion deepened. Her answers kept changing, making her story less convincing. >> Is there another car? >> Uh, just these two, I'm pretty sure. >> Just these two? They're talking about kids being in a car. >> As far as I know, it's just these two. I also I showed up later. >> Okay. >> The smell is completely different. And then first of all, let me show you. Come here. >> Oh, that's okay. Hey, are those your two kids? >> No. >> Your two kids aren't back there? >> No. No, they're my best friends. No. >> Do you have two little kids? >> I do. >> Were they in the car with you? >> No. >> Cuz your best friend brought your two kids. >> No. >> No. >> They were in the car with my boyfriend. >> Where's he at? Where's his car? >> His car is gone. >> Hey, Jack. >> So, kind of based on what I'm seeing is pos you could be impaired. Would you be willing to do SFST? What was that? >> Uh standardized field sobriety test to test to say see if you were safe to drive. What does that mean? >> It basically tests to see if there was possibly alcohol in your system at the time that you >> We're doing our due diligence to make sure that you are good to drive. That's all. >> I get it. >> And if you depending on your >> I drive this. >> I get it. We just have to do our job based on the facts that we have at the moment. So >> I have to check all my boxes. Okay. >> So are you willing to participate in field sobriety? Are you willing to perform the tenitus of the bra test? It's going to be a >> walking test and [ __ ] >> Sure, they'll give you the instruction. >> Whatever. >> Okay. >> Although she sounded composed, officers still ran simple coordination checks. The results were poor and she blamed her weight, leg discomfort, her shoes, and being a mother of three. >> I just can't believe all this just happened cuz I was coming around the corner and I literally need brakes. If you look at my back rotors, they're all brown. I don't have the money to get that fixed. >> Okay. So, if you want to walk over here with me. Okay. So, what I'm going to have you do, you're going to put your feet together and your hands stand at your side. You're going to keep your head still and you're going to look at my finger. Okay. >> You need to follow with your eyes only, not your head, please. >> I'm sorry. You I just thought you said follow my hand. >> Just eyes only. Okay. Don't. Okay. Do you want me to redo that? >> No. >> No. Okay. Is this light in your way? >> No, you're fine. >> Okay. I just want to make sure it's not on your eyes. >> Keep following my finger. I feel like how much longer. >> Okay. So, next test is going to be a walk and turn. Okay. Once I explain all the instructions, then you can begin the test and then once you finish the test, then you can go back. Then you can stand for a little bit. Okay. >> I'll do it. >> Okay. Cool. So, place your left foot and then place your right foot directly in front of it. Heel to toe. >> Okay. >> Do not start walking towards >> Wait, Britney, can you fix that, please? It needs to be in front heel to toe. So, it's got to be right in front of it touching heel to toe. >> Shoot. There's a >> You got to go to the happy me. >> Ma'am, there's two inches of space between those shoes and that. >> Yep. That's what I'm saying. It's a shoe and I'm doing it. >> Nope. You just got to do it like this. >> All right, fine. I can't even do this. I'm fat as hell. I'm fat. >> You're not. >> So, I need you to do your best to follow these instructions. >> I'm just fat as hell. >> Have you had Have you had more to drink tonight than >> No, I'm just fat as though. There's nothing to do. You >> I don't have any equilibrium. I'm fat as hell. >> Just You're going to just get in that position then hold it. Okay. >> I'm just fat. You guys are judging me for my fat. >> No, you're you're judging yourself. We're not judging you at all. >> I feel like you guys are. >> No, we're just trying to see if you were safe to drive. That's our That's our main goal behind it. >> I'm just like literally fat as and I can't do that. >> Okay. Is that the best you can do? >> Just cuz I'm fat. >> No, I'm just asking you. I'm just asking you if you can get a closer. If not, we'll go from there. It doesn't look very fat though. >> I'm not. Okay. Get in the position as best you can. >> Okay. >> Okay. You can get back in that position and then you may begin the test. >> 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 >> Okay. So, for the last test, it's going to be the one leg one leg stand. Okay. So, I'm going to have you stand with your feet together, your arms stay at your side, just like the first test. Okay. >> All right. >> Okay. Just keep going till I tell you to stop. >> If you're ready, you may begin the test. >> One, two. >> It has to be off the ground. >> You need to restart. >> Yeah. >> Yep. >> Dick, you may begin. >> I'ming out of shape. >> That has nothing to do with this test. >> It definitely does. >> No, ma'am. It does not. >> You tell me. I don't even I have three kids. You got to count it loud. >> So what? >> Just as he told you. >> One, two, three. One. I'm so bad. >> Okay, stop. >> One, two, three. >> Stop. You can stop. >> I'm trying. I have my flat foot. >> Are you being honest with me that all you've had today is a white claw? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Because you're showing signs of impairment. >> I'm really not. I'm just out of shape and my flat foot hurts. Like my bottom of my foot hurts right now. >> But not even that. You're stumbling all over the place. When you were spoken to by the medics and they asked you if you needed any help, you said no. You could have addressed that your feet were hurt. >> But it did. So I stand up for 4 hours. I sit down at a desk, get up and go move a pump, and then come back. >> Why didn't you just say anything when the medics came by? >> Cuz my feet weren't. >> Do you want to see a medic right now? >> If they can massage my foot. Yeah. >> They're not going to be massaging your question for you. >> Is it okay if your god or if the godp parentents of the kids take them? >> Oh, yeah. >> You give them You know who I'm talking? They're dumb. They just wanted to ask. Yeah. Thank you. >> All right. Thank you. >> Oh, wait. Can you ask them for a cigarette because this is ridiculous. >> You're not going to be smoking right now. We're in the middle of an investigation. Afterwards, you can. >> Well, if you can give me some better shoes, then Yeah. >> Would you be willing to provide a breath sample? >> If I can take the shoes off, I'll do all your test. >> You' be willing to provide a portable bread sample? >> If I can take all these shoes off. >> You can take the shoes off? Yeah. >> Take the shoes off? >> Nope. Here we go. I'm flatfooted. These shoes. Let's go. >> We already conducted this. >> 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9. You're You're telling us that you're not under the influence at all? >> My brakes went out. >> Okay, but Britney, just hear me out. Okay. From what you've told me, >> my brakes went out. >> I know. Just let me explain something. Then you can say whatever you need to say. Okay. One white claw would not affect you probably be driving from that far away based on what you've told me. >> No, it all a breath sample will do is show us reinforce what you're telling us that you're not impaired. So, would you be willing to provide us breath sample? >> So bad. >> Okay. Would you be willing to provide a breath sample? >> Comfortable. >> No. No. Okay. So, based on my observation, I'd be placing under my shoes on first. >> Sure. >> Sure. Yeah. >> At the [music] same time, a vehicle review showed all three children in the back were not properly secured. >> Sure. This is >> going to be a >> probably insurance or what? >> Uh, none of the kids are secured. There were three kids in the back seat. There's no car seat. >> As far as we know, there's two kids. So, all right. Here's what I need you to do. Unfortunately, cuz she's female, you got to go back to booking and help out the kids. I got the kids information. Whoever is doing the crash report. >> Firearm. >> The firearm is going to be You got it. That kid's got to go, man. >> Kid got in. So, >> we're just calling to make sure she can refuse. I think she can, but we just got to make sure with the hospital that she can refuse from the being in the accident. >> At the station, the woman took an official BAC [music] test. The result was 0.14, nearly twice the legal limit in most states. She faced multiple charges, including driving too fast for conditions, DUI, driving on the wrong side of the road, unsafe lane changes, child restraint violations, dangering a child's safety, and aggravated DUI for alcohol involvement in a crash with a child under 16. Hiding the truth does not make things better. It only makes the outcome more serious. Honesty and adult responsibility are key to protecting children and avoiding unnecessary trouble. >> Are you hurt at all, sweetie? >> Yes. >> Within those tears was a child's fear as adult conflict spiraled out of control. On November 29th, 2024, responders were sent to a home after a report of a family dispute. At the scene, the mother forcefully hit the father's car window while their 5-year-old child sat inside, frightened. She was separated immediately to prevent further escalation. >> Come here. DO NOT GO TO THAT HOUSE. >> YOU come on. Come on. Give me that wrist. >> Stop. >> Stop resisting. >> Stop resisting. >> I'M NOT [screaming] [crying] going to. >> All right. [ __ ] liar. >> All right. So, I got her. >> Okay. >> You go. Sit down. Can I get out of the car, please? >> Okay, no problem. >> All right. Thank you. >> Thank you. >> Okay. >> Thank you. >> All right. What's going on? >> She's drunk and what wasted and Aurora said she her I dealing with this all night. She finally agreed that I can come pick her up cuz she was begging for me. >> Came here. She brought her out, sat her in the car, and then she decided no. She unplugged her, yanked her by the wrist, dragged her into the house, and then I just heard like screaming and banging, and that's when I called you guys. >> Do you have any idea on you? >> Yeah. Said that she her shirt. >> It's all right, sweetie. It's okay. That's a That's not a >> I'm sorry. >> It's okay, sweetie. >> Could open that window. >> Yeah. Hold on one second. So, right now you're detained because you decided to run into the house. >> I live here. >> We have a 5-year-old involved. You banging on windows and you run mess with >> not bang on to anything. >> You were as I pulled up. >> You're a liar. I didn't bang on to anything. K M A U T H. You >> How you spell it? How you spell it? >> All right. Understand? If you don't give me your name, that's another charge. I don't You don't have any charges right now. At this moment, you're just a >> Nes. I'm >> I live here. >> I understand that. What's your last name? >> I get this off of my friend. >> Yeah, we're not going to do that yet. You're not under arrest. You're detained. You have allegations and then we'll try and do the investigation. >> What's your first name and what's your last name, ma'am? >> K. >> How do you spell that? >> K N A >> K N as K N K U T. [laughter] There's nothing wrong. >> K. And that might be Come here. Here. Look at me. Look at me. That might be the case, right? Take a deep breath. But what we can't have you do is run into a house like that. I get that. I understand that. But when we have allegations, we need to do an investigation. All right? Take a deep breath. All right? We're we're conducting the investigation right now and we're working through it. [laughter] >> Take a deep breath. Just breathe. Just take a minute. Okay, let's stop. Let's just stop and just take a minute. Okay. The exhausted father said he only wanted to take his child after noticing warning signs, but instead faced a situation triggered by the child's mother. >> Um, where'd she get that? >> Where did you get that? >> It's okay. >> It's okay. You're not in trouble. >> It's okay. >> Are you hurt at all, sweetie? Yes. Okay. I'm going to have the fire department come >> just to take a look at her. >> All right. 51. >> All right. Stand over there. >> All right. So, just run me through again what's going on. >> Um, started calling me hours ago. >> Who started calling you? >> Man started calling me. >> Okay. >> Saying that she's going to leave and take Aurora and she's obviously drunk and >> she's going to So, was she already Was Aurora already with her? >> Yes, she Aurora has been here um since yesterday. >> Okay. Um, then I guess my mom called the police saying that she was afraid that she was going to drive with her and then I basically been calling me all night. I told her that I wanted want her. She won't give her to me. That she tell me she has custody. I mean, I don't even >> What is the custody agreement? >> There isn't one. I have her birth certificate and her social on her. I signed paternity work paperwork when she was born. I'm on the birth certificate. I don't really know the exact >> I have literally five days a week. Her mom has them things. >> Okay. >> Um so she's telling me how she's just gonna leave with her and trying to >> Yeah. >> Um >> that were you? >> Yeah. Inside, please. Thanks, sir. Okay. So, you got over here? >> Yeah. So, I finally >> So, so you came over after your daughter called you? >> No. No. Amanda didn't call me. I heard her her crying in the background screaming for me. Okay. >> I want to come pick her up. So I came over here, she came, put her in the car. >> Okay. So So So she willingly put her in the car? >> She put her in the I I took videos as much as I could of the whole of me coming in here and her taking her out of the car. You can't really see it, but I I had I had some some of it on video. >> Okay. >> Um yeah, she just grabbed her by the wrist, pulled her up, dragged her in the house, and then I just heard them screaming and banging and screaming for daddy and help. And that's when I called you guys. >> But when she grabbed her by the wrist, like she'd grabbed her to just take her inside. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So it wasn't like anive thing. It was just she's grabbed her. I'm trying to understand. >> It was pretty I mean she's trying to stay in the car and she's getting pulled by the wrist. >> Sure. >> And just dragged her in. >> Okay. >> What you call that? >> No. No. I understand. Here. Um how much you weigh, brother? >> 135. >> Okay. Brown hair, brown eyes, >> black black hair, pas. >> Okay. Um you got to uh let me let me grab a st. You thought a stable for me, please? >> Oh, what? >> We're going to have the fire department come. They're going to come check her out real quick. >> Yes. Um, can you hang with him? Hang with him for a second. Thanks. >> Um, do you mind filling out a statement about what happened here tonight? >> Yes. >> I appreciate you. >> Thank you. >> Yep. >> From the other side, the mother expressed frustration, saying she was treated unfairly despite earlier behavior toward the child. Those emotions followed her as she was escorted to the vehicle. >> All right. You you a little bit you a little bit better right now? Okay. What happened tonight? >> I lived here. >> I I I know. I know. Do you have any? First of all, do you have any eggs? >> No. >> No. No. Okay. >> Go home. Go to sleep. >> But you do like it, right? That's >> harassing me. Yes. >> All right. >> I've been trying to make peace with these people. >> As we pulled up, she was bang on the window. She tried to run in here. So, she tried the door. So, we had to push the door. >> I get that. But when we have allegations and we come on scene and we tell you to stop three times and you dart into the house and try to door on us. >> Let me do a sweep real quick. >> All right. Come on. Stand up. I'll help you. >> Let me get my gloves real quick. >> All right. You sit up. Sit down real quick. >> What did I do wrong? All right. Sit up. I told you we're still investigating. >> I want to go home. I live here. >> I get that. We're going to go sit in the back of the patrol vehicle right now. Okay. >> I didn't do anything wrong. I live here. I run. >> All right. Butt first and then slide your feet in. >> Ready? There you go. Push off. There you go. Stay tight. Hey, Amanda. You want to tell me what's going on tonight? Can I come out? >> Huh? >> No, you can't. You're going to go to jail tonight. Okay. >> Okay. But you want to tell me why we're here? No. >> Huh? I'm not yelling at you. I'm just asking you a question. You want to tell me why we're here? >> You want to tell me why we why you ran from us when we told you to stop? >> I'm not yelling at you. I'm asking you a question. >> Okay, Amanda. Are we going to be a grown-up? >> I want to know. >> Huh? Are we going to be a grown-up? >> Okay. >> Okay. So, do you want to tell me why you ran from us when when we told you to stop? >> Yelling at me. >> Excuse me? >> We were yelling at you to stop. So, why didn't you stop? >> I'm sorry. >> That's what pushed you into handcuffs? >> Well, no, you're not going home tonight. You're going to jail. Okay. It's all yours. Stop. >> Let me out. Let me out. >> Where? >> Let me out. >> I'm about to. >> Yeah. You need You need to behave though. No. Let me out. >> I'm not doing that. DON'T DO THAT. LET ME OUT. LET ME OUT. LET ME OUT. LET ME OUT. Let me out. >> I got this one pretty much. Let me out. >> All right. Can you walk? Can you just walk like a normal dog? >> Let me out. >> Your child is in that. >> LET ME OUT. [screaming] >> JUST STOP. >> Stand up. Stand up. Stand up. We'll let you stand up. >> Let me out. Let me out. >> Stand up. NORMAL. >> I'M TRYING. You [ __ ] >> No, you don't need to do that. Just stand right there. >> Let go of my shoulders, >> man. We barely have any pressure on you. >> That's [ __ ] liar. Lay down. It's like a shot. >> Get off of me. I want to go home. Oh my god. Stop. >> Don't do that. Stand up. Be an adult. >> No. You're hurting me. [screaming] You're hurting me. >> Put your foot down. Put your foot down. >> No. >> Thank you. All right, step up, man. >> Step up. Big step right here. If you don't do it on your own, we're going to put you back there regardless. So, if you do it on your own, >> thank you. Appreciate it. >> Or what? >> Well, you're going to get placed in there. Not so nice. If >> you place me all night, >> you're all Amanda. or pterodactyl. I'm not sure. >> Unclear caregiving arrangements appeared to be the root of the ongoing conflict. >> All right, brother. So, here's the card here. Here's the report number. So, on the back here's a QR code. That's uh that's the uh that'll get you access to like our victim advocate and things like that. And then there's the report number. And then if you have any other questions, you get a hold of me. This is our non-emergency number. Then get a hold of me that way. I'm on till 7:00 a.m. tonight. Okay. >> All right. But yeah, you're you're good to go. Thank you so much. And again, if you anything that you see or catch or abnormal >> Yeah. Yeah. Again, it's it's just it's it's tough with the with the shops and I I just saw that. But >> she says, "Yeah, mommy tugged on my shirt." It's just it's not enough. >> Yeah. I'm just worried that she's got custody and she's just going to take her and go. And that's what >> Well, you said you guys don't have a custody agreement, right? >> No. I And I signed paternity work. I'm like, it says me as the father on the birth certificate, but from what I've been told that doesn't mean anything. >> I mean, I can't give you legal advice, but it might not hurt. Maybe consult an attorney. >> Yeah, I'm going to have to know for sure. And again, and now the DCF's involved, you know, but again, this I hate to say, but this this case is this is gonna help. Yeah. >> Especially if you can't if she can't get her drinking under control, right? So, >> okay. >> All right, man. >> Thank you so much. >> All right. Good luck to you. >> Yes, sir. >> The mother was charged with child abuse and resisting an officer without violence. Under Florida law, she could face up to 6 years in prison and $6,000 in fines. In the end, adult responsibility, care, [music] and self-control determine whether a child grows up in stability or uncertainty. No one is perfect, but everyone can choose to become a source of security for their children. In family life, small frictions can sometimes become sparks that lead to unexpected outcomes. >> She still got toothbrush in her mouth, toothpaste all in her mouth. She snaps the hell out of me. The hell >> Where you hit? >> Right here. >> On September 4th, 2022, a young girl drew emergency attention when she bravely reached out for help about a conflict between her mother and her partner. As responders arrived and heard both sides, layers of tension emerged, from emotions and finances to daily habits, parenting, and unresolved issues from the past. >> Good morning, ma'am. Sorry about this early on a Sunday morning. Uh, >> talk to my son. >> Is it Adonis? Adonis. >> Adis. Okay. >> Adonis. >> Alician Methar County Police. We got officers over there. Apparently, there was a call over I guess at your girlfriend friend's house. >> Hey, Shaquille. >> Squo. Okay. Make sure I try to pronounce it right. >> Y you can come in. >> Okay. Thank you, ma'am. So, what what happened over there? >> I wake up to her getting out of bed to take a shower. >> Yeah. >> Okay. I see her. She had a towel on. Good morning. >> She walked over to grab her shampoo. So, >> Uhhuh. >> She l I guess she stood there for then I heard her call my name. She was like, "Have you been using my shower?" So, I was like, "No, I haven't showered in almost two months." She let walked in, took a shower, guess something you want to say? >> Yeah. And I just wanted permission. sir. He's been staying over there with her for about three, four months. >> March months. >> Okay. >> And myself and my brother, I just I'm that parent who I don't get in your relationship, but I know when something is not right. >> Right. Right. >> I've been praying for this to end. He comes here. He stays over there. He works every day. He works basically Monday through Saturday. He comes here and showers every day. a lot of mornings before he even goes to work. He comes here, uses the bathroom, showers, does all that. And I just been wondering why are you >> So that's going to be the next question. Why is that going on? >> Yeah, >> because I had to stop using the bathroom there because it was a problem. I left the door open once at >> But your boyfriend and girlfriend. >> Yeah. Left the door open one time and she went ballistic. So I told her I won't use the bathroom here no more. The shower, it doesn't drain. It takes almost an hour for the water to drain out. And I I get dirty. I work at a plant nursery. I deal with plants all day. So, I'm dirty. I have a lot of dirt on me when I finish showering. So, I don't want to have to stand there and wait every time I take a shower. Have to clean the tub. >> So, I just stopped the end all day. I just come home. My mom will take a shower. But this morning, I guess when she went in, she got even more mad thinking about it cuz she probably pretty much used it all up. Came back. She asked the kids who's been coming in here using my stuff. Of course, they say they don't they haven't been doing it. They don't know. I have times when I come there after work and I know I haven't been showering there, my towel is wet, my rag is wet. >> So everything's over a towel. I mean over a shower >> over over her her um the stuff she uses to shower with >> saying that's what started the whole >> that's what start I was in the bed. I'm literally still laying down cover over me. I hear her come out. Then she comes out comes for me again. So that's when I got up start putting my stuff on. She starts getting loud and I had that's I got loud back with her. I have not >> everything you tell me. >> Yeah. Yeah, cuz we haven't talked to her. There's another officer talking to her. So, we're getting your half of the story. We'll talk to them on the radio in a minute. And >> so, I was putting my clothes on. >> The mother's partner and his relatives shared [music] critical remarks, describing her as unstable in mood and lifestyle. >> Hello. >> Hey, my wife. Oh, it really be drunk like every day. >> And we go start to get loud. She's in the bathroom brushing her teeth. She rushes out of the bathroom into the bedroom. I'm sitting on the bed like this. She still got the toothbrush in her mouth. Toothpaste hollow mouth. She slaps the hell out of me. The hell out >> right here. Right here. For the second time. That's the second time I've been hitting this eye. It's not this one. >> Today or before? You get hit before? >> I got hit today. I've been hit another time. time was a previous day. >> The safe. Yeah, this was a previous day. That's why make sure three or four times I've been hit on been hit on by her with a phone to the back of my head. >> Police called every time or is this the first time? >> She I think she pretended to call the police one time, but >> I'm saying you haven't called as far as No, I I haven't called no police or anything cuz she's been warning me. >> This will be the first time that we're being notified of of that. Okay. >> And see, that is a mistake with so many young men and I tell you that. >> Well, I'm going to tell you men are bad about all that. Men men will also refuse to go to a hospital. >> And I've only met her like by speaking to her when she was in the car with him like and I went to the door to speak to her because this is who he's dating, right? >> So I'm going to try to be cordial. She has three kids. >> He don't even have children. Has always said he don't even want children. But you trying to help her. >> Their dad, >> her oldest child just started middle school. >> Mhm. >> She's transitioning from a school that didn't do uniforms. >> She bought the uniforms. >> The children have never even been in my house. I don't even know her kids' name. I bought her daughter's uniforms >> and the other daughter. The dad did nothing. >> I just been praying officer it because I knew from I'm a woman. I've been around people who I've worked with children 25 years. Retired from Clark County School District 2018. Now I work for Athens Clark County at the elections office. The children I work with for years and some of the parents I used to deal with. I know the behavior. >> You're right. >> But he's grown. But I did say to him a few weeks ago when he said that about her putting his her hands on him, you need to call the police because what she's going to eventually do, she's going to make it look like it's you. He gave her money almost $400 about a month or two ago to take her car to get it fixed. She goes to spend the money on something else. I'm not saying this cuz he's mine. I'm saying this cuz this is what he's been trying to do to help her. But she has shared her stories of her former boyfriends and babies daddies of them climbing up just her baby daddy >> and putting putting putting a gun on her and all that. She likes that lifestyle. And so she's at him and I already knew when he came here and I knew I said she's going to call the police today cuz she's mad about the body wash or whatever. She's trying to blame somebody else for every single issue. >> Okay. >> All right. So, back to the after she slapped you the hell out of you, she said, "What then?" What happened? >> I'm not going to lie. >> The mother, however, told a very different story. Faced with the disagreement, the father turned to the children's words, but worried they might not be fully open. >> I'm 10. I'm still talking to central. >> Is she talking to this back? You can hang up and talk to us if you want to. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. I have two of them here. >> What happened? Um, I got the kids up clean up as I went to take a shower. So, when I went to take a shower, I got ready, reached my body wash out my dress. >> So, I'm like, "No, you used to buy the body wash." He's like, "No, I ain't use that [ __ ] in like two months. I ain't even took a shower here in two months. You just mad." Somebody said I was saying something about like, "No, I'm just let one of the last one. You do this [ __ ] every day. Everybody watch like you can't use it every day cuz you're a woman or whatever." He just jumped up on the bed and back me cuz I'm standing right here by my pole. He was just getting out say he about to leave. I guess son came over here and he's back right up in here. >> Right. >> I Yes, I reacted. I back her and I grabbed my stuff. She told her kids call the police. >> When you say when you say you backstab one >> you hit her or have contact? >> Yes, I did. >> Where did you hit her at? >> Oh, right here in her cheek on the left side. She was facing window. >> If I'm facing you, if I'm facing then you were on her right. >> Her right cheek. >> Okay. Do you know if you left a mark or not? >> I doubt it. >> Okay. So, it was open. >> Was it open hand or a fist? >> It was open hand. >> Open hand. It was open. >> She She came out of the You >> said backhanded? >> Yeah. She came out of the house as I was getting in the car. We made facial contact and there was nothing on her face. >> So, was there anybody else in the room when all when when she she >> Her kids were standing at the doorway for a second. Mine's charging right now. Morning. >> Good morning. >> So, >> how are you? >> Doing good. You >> good. Where >> how many kids were in there when that happened? >> She has three kids. >> All three were in the room. >> I know. I know. At least one was right at the doorway. The other two are shorter. They were probably behind her. The oldest one. >> The oldest was at the doorway. >> Y'all think she was right. >> So, she would she would have seen you get she saw it. That's what we're asking. >> Honestly, even if she did see it, she's the type of mother she's probably there now. They're not going to bag me or anything. is everything is going to be against me. I already knew this was going to happen. That's how she is with her kids. She always goes to her kids to get consolidation or whatever. Then this happened or ain't a ain't this then this happened or then this person say that. >> Yeah. So I'm I'm not >> How old is the oldest kid? >> I think now he's 11 or 12. Sixth grade. First year in sixth grade. The other two are one's in fourth and the other one's in third, I believe. And here I am trying to be missed of how I do with people. Every year I help somebody's child do something regardless of what my I got. I even had I set a backpack with stuff in it for the youngest child. Then ordered the other one and but you still haven't face to face or even had him call me on the phone to even say thank you. >> I asked her last weekend would she go out on a date and meet my mom eat. >> She looked at me crazy. >> I'm I'm prepared for us to go out that Friday and I contact him. I said we >> do everything with you and your family. But it's last Saturday and he just replied, "No." And I didn't say anything and I'm thinking, "Well, maybe they doing something else." This is your mind game. You're pretending you want to try to get to know me because my son has a relationship with your mom. You don't want to get to know me because you probably can look at me and tell that I'm the mama who picks up on the BS. >> If this is going on like you said, >> stay away. >> You need to find somebody else. >> I am do not have I do not like I don't want to be No, I'm a fit. I've served this country. >> Yeah, that's your picture right down there. Yes sir. >> That was us when um I went to his graduation army national guard was 88 m. >> I refuse to be known. >> I'm not going to keep getting asking that. That's like >> nobody nobody would argue. >> Let me step out and let them know what he's told about him getting >> I'm going to see if they'll talk to the daughter separately. >> His concern proved true. Not one but all three children gave accounts that did not support him. >> Actually, can you and me and the kids step outside so y'all can talk? Yeah. Is Is that y'all's mom? Okay. So, how how many of y'all saw what what happened? >> I did. >> Okay. This happened. Is that your dad? >> Step. >> Step. Is that your dad? >> They all got the same. >> You supposed to be like in the Navy and none of that. He been the job court cuz you already like the only child. >> Mhm. >> And you really pretty much kind of like sport. Your mama do anything for you and your dad, but you act like they don't. >> Can y'all tell me what what y'all saw? I heard and I went in there. He was in front of >> He dropped the Where did he drop the >> At the door and then he picked it back. >> Okay. >> He went off once and broke my window. >> Okay. Was that recently or a long time ago? >> Like a couple years ago or like a few weeks ago? I'm like I was with my dad man like like if you go through the backyard you can see >> I'll have to go look at it here in a minute. >> Yeah with multiple different kinds of liquor. He don't stick with one particular guy. >> Yeah. I mean alcohol get another guy mix. >> Okay. Like his own mom. He can tell you he don't done drugs over the years and stuff like that. I think he got it back. >> Okay. >> Cuz he got sh real bad. >> Yeah. >> Real bad. >> What is y'all's relationship? We was boyfriend and girlfriend, but like everything just keep going like this. And I never been through like that. And he bothering me. Don't argue with nobody. Don't argue with him like everything every other day. Even when I'm just trying to let him come to the house. Yeah. >> But he welcome me, you know, it's my home or whatever, right? And he flipping it on me. Like sometime I see that he had a problem. Cool. He might FaceTime me. He have good attitude and lay on see if you tell in the m sometime. So I might sit there here and wait to come in and come in all mad or something or straight up my step coming down. I don't say nothing to like if I got like I wait and you might I don't know what going through. >> So did you actually see this or you just heard it? >> Yeah, I saw him. >> You saw him your mama? Did Did you see him do anything else other than her? Okay. What kind of was it? Do you remember? >> It's a pistol. >> It was a pistol. You remember what color? >> Black. You seen it too? >> Put a ant on my neck. What? >> I mean all the way up. [laughter] >> Do you remember where it fell from? Like was it in a pocket or in his waistband or? >> It was a head of clothes he had in his hand. >> Okay. So he was carrying in a pile of clothes and when it dropped you said it dropped like right here >> like >> at the bottom of the step. And when he picked it up, did he put it back in the clothes or did he put it in in his pocket? >> Both adults admitted crossing boundaries with each other. Yet neither was willing to take responsibility or step away from the already broken relationship. >> I've just been in prayer. >> Yeah, it sounds like you walked yourself into a mess is what it sounds like, >> right? I mean, she just needs to say she don't want to be in a relationship. >> She won't say that. I done asked her that so many times. Why don't you just say you don't want to be with me? She'll go off to something else. You want me around? Because you know I'm going to go to work every week. You know I'm you know I'm going make that check every week. That's why you want me young man. I'm going I'm going also say that works both ways. At some point you got to wake up and say, "Well, obviously you're not interested. I'm going to I'm going to go ahead and step away." >> Then this is the moment right here. Sadly, it had to be his moment, but this is the moment. >> And he had came home and said that even before y'all even pulled up. >> Does he have any other things here? >> No, he take it every time he leave. >> He take it every time he leave. Say he come. He have he might bring a duffel bag. >> Okay. So, it's like an overnight kind of thing and then leave. Okay. So he accused you of using your of using his body wash for several times, that kind of thing. >> No, mine. >> So he got mad at you for using your own? >> No, he got mad because he said he haven't used it in about 2 months. I was like, I don't use He told me I use it every day. I'm like, no, I don't. Okay. >> It's not the kind of I use every day. >> So you just mad that it was getting used up. >> I don't know. They want lost it, too. >> Okay. >> I think he's just mad cuz it was a little confrontation. >> What was the confrontation other than that then? What the dispute over the body wash, >> right? >> He's saying no. And I'm asking the question. >> You're saying he was just mad because the body wash is you using it again? >> Cuz I'm asking him about it. >> What were you asking him about? >> Oh, did he use it up? Cuz I told you I don't use everything. >> Okay. Okay. Okay. I'm tracking. I'm tracking. Okay. I got you. I got you. I got you. Okay. [clears throat] >> Did you use this up? I said cuz I thought you said you going to replace it. >> No, I ain't that time took a shower. You ain't took a shower in two months. I'm like, "Well, the last time I asked you about you said you going to replace it." >> You were going to take a shower, grab the body wash, notice it was light. I asked him, "Hey, have you been using it?" He said, "No." Got angry about you asking, you know, you said, "Well, you know, you said you want to replace it. If you were going to use it, that kind of thing." Got angrier. Got up, backhanded you >> cuz he could leave. And that was it. >> Okay. So, he didn't hit you any more than the one time. You hit him back. Did you hit him open hand, close hand? >> Okay. Did he hit you open hand or close hand? >> Back hand. >> Backhand. Okay. >> Okay. He didn't hit you in the stomach. Okay. Um, was there any other kind of physical confrontation? Did he grab you? Did you grab him? Did you push him? Did he push you? >> I said, "Hey, man. I don't really want to do no more than that." >> After reviewing the scene and statements, [music] responders made a decision involving one of the two adults. >> How long have you been over there now? It's been what? >> Since like uh end of March, like after March 20th, >> about 5 months basically. You said been the past two months you've had to come back over here and do your showers every day, right? >> Yeah. If I take my work clothes over there in the morning and she wakes up at 6:30 to get them up, I automatically get up, go to my car, and change in my car. I put my clothes on in my car. I do not I don't even change in there. >> See, I didn't know he It's that extreme. >> The reason was that because she didn't want the kids to see you changing. Is that or or >> I don't want her to She says a lot of um degrading stuff about me for no reason. Um like when we argue and the kid and the kids might be around, she'll tell the kids back up. He might swing on you or something. I've never been that type of person. I I would never hurt a child. >> This guy doesn't sound like somebody you need to be with. Uh if not just for your sake, for your children's sakes cuz they don't need to be around that. Um >> go upstairs, look at the um bullet hole that don't discharge. >> My kids mattresses back together. >> When did that occur? >> Could have been dead. You got to ask the girls cuz we was in here scared and they scared to go upstairs. He did not reply to me when I'm holling like, "Hey, did you all right?" You not later on I call your name sometime in the kitchen. I'm scared. >> Okay. >> You know through my bed and [ __ ] through the wall kids. You supposed to be replacing it. You ain't tell your daddy. >> When did that happen? >> That was like May, June. >> Okay. >> You said you've been before. >> Oh, I've been I've been I was the second time I've been in the back of my head with a cell phone. I've had my cell phone thrown at me full force about as close as we are >> by her. >> Yeah, by her. So, I'm >> So, there's been there's been three different instance where she has flung or you 1095. All right. Well, apparently they've talked to the kids and um >> they're going to have to based upon what that officer said to I'm not sure what the charges. We'll find out for you, but yeah, >> based upon what I think you told me quickly. No, >> pick upon towards each other be more. There you go. He'll find out what the charges are for you. But >> so she is pressing charges. Well, the problem is it falls under family bond because y'all lived together. So at that point, it's not it's not up to her. It's up to the officer based upon it. There's no probable cause. And the reason for that is the state has mandated us that since January 1st, 1994. >> She does have visible in on her face and on her chin area. I guess you'd hit her >> pretty hard enough to be able when you back back backhanded to be able to show. >> And she's lightkinned, so it probably didn't show at first. She just >> Do you want me to get your phone out your pocket? >> One of them don't matter. Yeah, you can. >> You can. >> She's been cooperative with us. I mean, >> yeah. >> Look at me. >> Tell her >> you're going to get through this. Look at me. You're going to get through this. We're here. And I just pray to God that this is a big wakeup call. When this is over, don't you ever go back that way. Do you understand me? I love you. We're going to get through this. >> And I told the officer that you when you back is as a reactionary because she she hurt. I guess maybe the kids are not saying totally everything. Unfortunately, when you have somebody that's a witness like that, the judges do take that consideration. You should be able to get out by morning anyway because they'll have the bond hearing. >> Yeah, it uh it's Labor Day, so it runs 10ish. It runs a little bit later still in the morning. Still, you still should be out have time to go back to work. So, that should hopefully that shouldn't impact your work at all. >> Have you ever been involved in a domestic before? >> Oh, that's what I'm saying. The one I have had was kids and I only had that first child, my oldest one. >> Okay. ain't going to get that for you though. >> In a way, it may be a blessing in disguise because it may this may help you not to want to go back over there. >> Love you. >> All righty. >> The man was charged with family battery, disorderly conduct, two counts of thirdderee cruelty to children, and two counts of violating a family order. Heel to toe on that same line. Put your arms down to your side. Touch heel to toe. Touch heel to toe. No, no, no. Go back. All right. Stay on that line. Now stay in this position until I tell you to move. Do you understand? When I tell you to start, what you're going to do is you're going to take nine hill to toe steps on that line. Okay? When you get to your ninth step, you're going to leave your front foot on that line. Take a series of small steps to turn around. I'll show you how to do that. And you're going to take nine heel to toe steps back on that same line. Now, on each step, I need you to look down at your feet the whole time. Count your steps out loud so that I can hear you. And don't stop this test until it's been completed. Do you understand? What's that? >> Yeah. Okay. If you watch me, I'm going to demonstrate. Okay. For demonstration purposes, I'm doing three steps. You are going to do nine. Okay. It's going to look like this. Okay. Get back in that position. Okay. Again, for demonstration purposes, I'm going to do three steps. You're doing nine. Have your knees straight, hands down to your arms down to your side. Now, holding this position, you're going to look down at the elevated foot and count in this manner. 100,00 1,002 1003 and so forth until I tell you to stop. Do you understand? All right. Any questions? >> All right. You may begin when you're ready. 1001 2023 1004 2005 2006 1008 100901 2013 100 foot >> 2015 201622 >> Okay, you can stop. What's wrong, Miss? Why are you crying? All right, let me go get her water real quick. Here. Whoa. Where did she go? Right here. Here. Hello. Uh, who's going to be driving? >> I will. Do you need my ID? >> Yes. Just his is fine. Or whoever's going to drive that vehicle. There is alcohol in the vehicle. They're not open. We already dumped out the ones that were open. >> Okay. >> Um, it's a little I guess some of the alcohol dipped into the driver's seat, so there's going to be that. So, I don't know if you have like a wipe or anything that you could just wipe it down. >> Okay. >> Um, kids are fine. No accident. >> What What happened? Can we Can we know what happened? Like why was she >> Yeah. Throughout the night, we got three or two different calls. The description of the vehicle that it was running, the trunk was open. It was parked at just like random places. The driver was passed out. So, every time we would get to scene, the car was gone. Never able to actually see the vehicle or So, we're like, "What the heck? We're driving through here. We usually drive through here a lot and we see it parked here. She's passed out. Trunk is open. We have it here. We see that there's a car seat. We finally were able to get closer. We see that there's three kids in the back. She was heavily intoxicated. I don't know where she was coming from. She was not coherent at all. She did not know what was going on. >> Her or is it um is it just her? >> It was just her. We try to ask of anything. And then and then the kids. Kids don't really know too much of what's happening. They didn't see much of kind of what we did back here. We try to get everything >> away from them, but yeah, they're excited that you guys are picking them up. They said that you guys are the best and super cool. So, >> thank you. >> You guys are free to take it. These are the keys. They were a little um they had alcohol on them. So, >> they're in a glove, >> but let's turn them off. >> Sounds good. >> Thank you so much. I appreciate you guys. >> Yeah. Step out. Go around this way. Watch your step right in here. Step forward. What matters is the ability to pause, correct course, and change. Because every adult choice is quietly remembered by a child. Inside a house in Florida, it was quieter, darker, and the price to pay was far more terrible. You guys are taking my children away from me. >> On February 28th, 2020, Florida police got an emergency call. Suspected child at a house where five kids were living in conditions. Intel also revealed the home's sewage system had backed up. Police quickly knocked on the door, confronted the mother, and checked the area behind the house. >> Hi, how are you? >> Somebody called and said something about the sewage backing up in the house. You have a problem with the sewage, >> huh? Somebody called and said that you had told the health department about the sewage backing up into the house. >> Yeah, I haven't been to the health department. >> No, you called or something like that. They said >> off. >> Okay. Are you guys having a problem with sewage? >> No, the only problem I have with my sewage is when something did uh crashed in, sir. >> Okay. >> That's been crashed in for years. >> Okay. So, is anything happening with the sewage or? >> No, my sewage legitimately goes onto the ground because of my piping, but I don't have any issues with my stuff. >> So, where's your sewage dump out to? >> Underneath the house? >> Right here. Just straight underneath the house. On the ground? >> Pretty much. Yeah. I'll be honest with you, I don't know who gave you a call. I'm actually very puzzled, sir. Well, we got the call from the health department because they said that they got a call from the school and then the school called them and then somewhere along the lines they somebody that you talked to about this told them or something. So, the health department was trying to reach out to make sure that the kids had somewhere proper to use the bathroom and shower and stuff. Do you have water? >> I have water but very low water pressure. >> Okay. Are the dogs in the house nice? >> I think I know why they need to. Why is that? Do you mind showing me inside the house? >> Absolutely. So, I have a new she >> Why do you think that somebody called? >> They did talk to the school yesterday. >> And what did you tell them? >> I told them that my kids came to school like Mustang did, but I apologize, but there is nothing I can do about that. Excuse me. You are really >> She had previously received support from a caseworker, but the results seemed little improved. How long has it been this way? Have you guys gone to this how? [laughter] >> So, who have you called? Who have you reached out to about these living conditions? >> I actually have a case worker with Miss Maria. She's uh told me to call code enforcement. I tried calling code enforcement. >> Who's your case worker with? What what department? >> She's number. >> Do you have a card or phone number for her? You want to get that for me? And I've also dealt with DCF at least. >> Who have you dealt with >> every year? >> Who have you dealt with at DCF? >> Yeah. If you have a card for Miss Maria, who does she work for? >> Miss Maria, >> you guys can't live here. >> So, you know that, right? >> Yeah. >> Not need it. Well, we're going to have to find somewhere. Kids, you can't live in all that mold. >> Oh, >> I mean, your kid that's going to know >> that's definitely the newborn. I mean, >> I know. Trust me. We were waiting for a tax suture and we something about it >> that'll I mean that that's I'll be honest with you. I mean that house needs to be condemned all the mold that's in there. There's no recovering from that. That's going to that's going to kill that newborn. I'm surprised that newborn is not sick yet. >> Oh no, she's contested. But thanks to my other manager over here, she watches the baby for me while I work. >> Who is she? >> Mhm. >> Who is she to you? >> She's >> a manager of what? >> At McDonald's. >> Is that where you work? >> Yes, sir. >> McDonald's. >> The one in the Target Plaza. >> Okay. Any these cars run or? >> Nope. [laughter] >> What's all in this car? What's all >> laundry? >> Dirty laundry. What are you going to do with it? >> Uh, get it washed as soon as actually I get paid today. My case worker number is 646. >> What's her name? >> Marie. >> And who's she a case worker with? Like what agency is she with? >> Unfortunately, >> you don't know. I can't remember because I've been I know her as Marie and I just I've been dealing with her for like >> When was the last time you talked to her? >> About February. No, January 19th. >> What does she do for you guys? [snorts] >> What is she supposed to be doing? >> She She helps us basically. If I need help finding another place, she'll look up places and then I'll have to call. >> That's all she does >> pretty much. >> How did she get involved with you guys? Um, it was through How did she get involved with this? I went through five case work for Chris before I got her. >> Okay. >> Even DCF had intervened. Yet, the children's living conditions remained unchanged. [music] The tragedy seemed endless. >> Do you know who you talked who you've talked to in the past at um DCF? >> I don't remember her name. I haven't seen her in a little bit though, so I'm filming. >> DCF's been in the house, though. >> Oh, yeah. All right. They've been in the house and I told them we were >> let's start >> trying to get my house. >> We were trying to fix it up and everything else and they say the same thing. What does the landlord say? Blames us. We don't have a lease. >> Do you have that landlord's name or phone number? >> Not right now. >> I can get the um name for you. >> Let's start with the names of the kids. >> My kids aren't going to get taken from me. >> I listen. I got to call DCF because of this and I'm going have to do a report. So, I have to document who's here. Okay. My goal right now is to get you out of this place. Now, if you're [snorts] telling me what if everything you're telling me is true is that DCF has been here and gone inside this house. >> They have been. I swear you were >> and they've seen these conditions and they have not contacted us. To be honest, I'm going to be pissed at DCF cuz that's not okay for them to leave you in here. Okay. And if you've made any kind of uh if you if you've been making some kind of progress to get out of here or approve this, then I don't see where you would be legally, you know, a legal side of that. But if I [snorts] go and I find out that DCF hasn't been here and that they haven't been here in a while and all this and there's not been improvement or attempt to make improvement like you said, then that's a problem. You're responsible for these children. You're responsible for where they sleep and put their heads at. This is not an acceptable place. >> No way. I mean, this isn't healthy for adults, let alone a newborn. >> No, I understand that. >> But I can tell you right now that my goal right now is not looking at the criminal side of this. Okay, that's where we're at now. >> No, I I promise you, TC, I've spent out here. I'm not going to tell you no [ __ ] or anything like that. >> Police [snorts] continued taking statements. This time focusing on the children and the father, uncovering hidden dark details. >> Okay, what about the father to Jasmine and Michaela? Michaela's father's somewhere around here this damn state. Um Jasmine's father lives in New York. >> Okay. Where does Nicholas work? >> McDonald's. >> That's where he's at now. >> Yeah. >> How does he get back and forth to work? >> We have one of the crew members or the other manager >> cuz you guys ride >> pick him up and stuff. No different than me. >> Okay. >> I've been waiting for my tax return to come in so I could get a working vehicle again. And unfortunately, he's not getting the tax return. >> Do you guys get food assistance? Yes, sir. >> How much is that a month? >> My food stamps comes in at 972 a month. >> Okay. >> I have witnesses. I have a lot of witnesses over this house. >> Do you guys pay separate power or is it all part of your rent? >> Uh, no. Separate power. The water is free cuz it's well water out here. We pay for rent, electric, and uh internet. >> Okay. All right. Do you have a working phone? Like does the phone number work? As of today, it it will be up and working. >> What is the phone number when it works? >> My phone number is three. >> The mother seemed to show fear [music] as police kept mentioning DCF. >> All right, I got to get in my car and make some phone calls. Okay, so if I need anything else, come knock on the door. More than likely DCF's going to have to come back out here today and get some kind of plan in motion. Something's got to happen today. That's got to be put on paper that something's changing cuz that can't happen. whether it's the shelter or DCF putting you guys in a hotel. I I don't know what what they're going to do. Who have who have you talked to at code enforcement? >> Um I ended up talking to a lady and when I told her that there was mold in the house, stuff like that, that I needed somebody to come out and look, she basically I was told that there was nothing they could do. >> When was this? >> This was a couple few months ago. >> Was it over the phone or emails or >> It was over the phone, sir. >> Okay. I'm going to tell you from here on out. If you don't, you need to document everything everybody you're talking to in emails. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Yes, >> sir. >> All right. I'll be with you in a little bit. Are any of the kids currently sick right now besides you? You said which one was coughing this morning? >> My daughter Michaela been coughing. My son Damian's been coughing. My baby girl's congested. >> Have anyone been to the doctors or anything like that? >> We've all been to the doctors. >> And what are they saying? >> The usual. You got the stomach virus going on or you either got the flu or that's about it. >> All right. >> After [snorts] all, police had to make the hardest decision. The children had to be taken from their mother's care. >> All right. You want to go say goodbye to your kids? >> Are you picking the other two up at school? >> Yes. >> Yes. DCF will handle. >> So, I'm not going to be able to say goodbye to my other two. >> Yeah. >> Not right now. But you're going to you're going to see them. >> Oh my god. She's old enough. There is no law in the state of Florida. The states, what age? They cannot be left at home. >> Okay. But 12 is not okay to be left alone to take care of a 3-year-old, especially in a condition of that house. You have buckets full of water that 3-year-old could fall and drowned in. You have holes in the ground that kid could fall and hurt himself, break a leg. Not to mention the 12-year-old and break your leg. Listen, there's there's a lot going on here. I understand. You guys are taking my children away from me. >> No, listen. The fact that I was here earlier today and told you I was coming back with DCF and certain people and I came back and you weren't here and the kids were left alone, that's a felony that happens in our presence. We don't have the ability to say she's getting help and she's doing the right steps. We don't have the ability to say that. >> So, this is that this is >> it's that incident combined with the lack of action. Hold on, stay over here. It's that combined with the lack of action over the period of time of the deterioration of the house and the living conditions for these children. >> Yes. All right. I need your date of birth. >> We need his date of birth and social and then the address. >> Okay. So, he's um Can you get the address? >> Don't have it. Okay. So, he's going to answer the phone. >> The mother was [snorts] handcuffed and led away in helplessness. >> Change your back for me. >> Do you have any weapons or anything on you? Nothing hidden anywhere. Hidden handcuff key. No hidden drugs. >> No. >> Nothing else. All right. You got a seat right there. You see what schedule do you work? You work nights. >> I work. >> And Nick works days. >> Yes. >> So Nick watches the kids while you're >> Yes. >> Which kids are Nick is Nick the biological father of? >> Damian and Laura. >> And Laura? >> Yes. He's on the birth certificate as well for Aiden. >> Aiden. That's the one that's in there. All right. Oh. >> At the same time, the father of some of the children came back just in time to get the cold handcuffs from police. Though he stayed calm, the air instantly grew heavy at the heartbreaking scene. >> I got to talk to you for a minute, Nick. All right. I'm Deputy Grand Sheriff's Office. It's okay. We were called here today about some issues with the sewage in the house. We've been here all day. >> We've been and out of the house. We talked to the kids. GCF is now here. Based off everything, based off his house and >> you and Tiffany are going to be arrested today for child. Okay. >> All right. Do you have anything in your pockets that can't go to the jail? Okay. >> I was going to say that if anything. >> What else? >> That's it. I think. >> All right. All right. Go ahead and put your hands behind your back for me. Take that. >> Um, the kids are going to be taken by DCF tonight. They'll be sheltered over the weekend. Monday. You and Tiffany will have to show up to court. DCF will show up to court. I'll probably show up to court. The kids will be there, but we're all going to sit down in front of a judge and go over what's been going on. Okay? Because you and I both know this didn't happen overnight. This has been going on. >> It's been like this for a little bit. You know, the dude won't fix them. >> I understand. I understand that to a point, but that's not a suitable condition for any child. >> If I could afford, >> especially in me, man, I would >> an infant. All right. Nick, you want to talk to me? I'm going to freeze your rights. Okay. Right to main silent and you say maybe use evidence against you. Can I talk an attorney heard with now or any time during questioning? You're not a foreign attorney. Anyone want be point to represent you? Anytime I stop talking, I have attorney pres. Do you understand those rights? >> How long has that mold that bad in the house? >> Pretty much since we moved in. >> How long was that? >> Uh, we moved in about 4 years ago. >> How long has that sewage been dumped raw underneath the house? >> That was like not even a year after we >> moved in. >> Moved in. That thing caved in. >> What's the running water? What's the running water situation in the house? >> Uh, all three run off that pump. >> So, minimal. It's It can be good some days, bad others. The hot water doesn't really last worth the crap in ours cuz the uh not very big. >> Now, what about Michaela's medicine? And when's the last time she got any of her mental health >> medicine? Are you aware she needs a year? >> Do you care for all the kids in the house? >> Yes. >> Your father figured all of them. Which kids are biologically yours? >> Biologically is um Laura there, the baby, and um Damian Carver. And then I'm on birth certific. >> Um, so I talked to Michaela earlier and she said frequently she has left home by herself or with other kids to watch these kids while you and the mom are home and tell her to lock the doors. Is that something? >> Yeah, I mean something we had done before, but it hasn't really been done since because we have a >> She did it today while we were here. >> Switch on um shifts. No cap. Basically, >> the father and mother were charged with child, thirdderee felony, and held at Flaggler County Jail. Under Florida law, they face up to 5 years in prison or 5 years [music] of probation along with a fine of up to $5,000. No bail information has been released. >> Um, so you guys are both going to go to jail for the same charge. You'll see the judge this morning and he'll uh go over your bond and first appearance and stuff like that if you guys aren't able to bond out. And then if you do bond out unless I can go cash my check and then >> and then you have >> Monday I'm sure it'll be Monday maybe Tuesday will be the court hearing with the judge DCF the kids us and all that and they'll decide whether the kids need to be put somewhere until a plan can be come together for things to improve. This house is going to be condemned on Monday by the by the building inspector for the county. He was already here looked at the house. No doubt about it. >> He's going to he's closing it down Monday. If it's not fixed by the actual property owner within so many days he's bulldozing it. I mean it's the dogs were surrendered to Humane Society cuz there's still being penned up without shelter. >> So that's just where we're at. All right. >> You have any questions? >> Do you think the kids have been given adequate care, shelter, mental health? >> Well, everything we do, like I said, the best we can as far as like the living condition. I I can't do nothing with that guy as far as getting anything fixed. He wants me to fix it all. I mean, I was a contractor at one point, but I'm not a licensed, so I'm not supposed to be doing none of the work. >> Have you guys looked into moving anywhere? I mean, there's government housing. >> We've looked to move all over the place. Nothing else affordable for us. That's the only reason why we been stuck here. >> How often do you guys get paid? >> By weekly. >> How much do you guys bring home by weekly? Call back. >> Uh, right now I'm sitting at about 1,300 right there just in those checks. >> So, you guys each get total you bring home, 1300. >> Total for both of ours about 13. >> Bring home. Take home. >> Yeah. >> Okay. She's got 700 and something on hers. >> And how much you guys get in food stamps? >> Uh, last I know it's like 9 something. >> Okay. You want to take them for me? >> She already >> I appreciate it. >> Yeah, she Well, she's already in my car, but she'll be at the jail at the same time. >> All right. >> Go over to my car. >> Can we give that food to one of the kids? >> Yeah, I appreciate it. >> Um, they don't have any allergies, right? SP. >> The five children were rescued, but the haunting question remains, how many others are still living in the dark, waiting for someone brave enough to knock. In Florida, adults sometimes forget the beach is for sunbathing, not yelling, especially when their kids are the audience. >> Does he not have any clothes in his truck? >> No, he does not. On April 12th, 2025, Florida police got a call about a family fight on the beach. Arriving, they were shocked to see a drunk woman yelling in a man's face. >> Would you be willing to allow your wife to get in the vehicle cuz she drank almost an entire bottle of tequila? WOULD YOU ALLOW YOUR WIFE to get in the vehicle and drive your children home or would you take her keys as well when he is that up? >> Would you? >> That is the problem. My husband is wasted. He drove his truck from way down there to down here. I took the keys from him. You have the keys? >> Yes, because he is wasted. Is that him over there with my child from him and get my Uber and take take my kids home? >> Hang on right here. Let me talk to him. What's his name? >> Chris. >> Chris. >> That's all I want. >> Have you been drinking? >> That's why I'm not driving. >> So, you're not You don't need to drive either. Okay. >> I'm not going to have an Uber for anything. >> The father soon showed up too, looking confused and bewildered. Even more striking, he was also drunk. >> Thank goodness. Goodness gracious. What's up? >> What are you at? Uh, >> you you call you called me. What What do you need? >> Um, so, okay. >> What do you need? >> Let's turn this way so I can talk to him. >> Okay. >> He needs to call himself an Uber. He needs a Uber. >> Hey, buddy. >> He needs Uber home. >> Just relax. >> I'm leaving with my kids. I'm leaving with my kids. He's too wasted for the sake of your kids. >> I've been trying to get him the last hour and a half to leave. Let's go get in the car. Please get an Uber. Can you get my youngest child so I can go home with him, please? >> Why don't you get an Uber? I don't have his truck, please. And he's not leaving in this truck. I need my youngest child to go home. >> What's the whole scenario? >> Tell me. Why am I here? >> Shitty earlier. >> Y'all have both been drinking. Neither one of you need to drive. Y'all need to either get into an Uber together or separate Ubers and go home. And most importantly, we need to get these kids home someplace safe. >> I understood. She has my belonging. >> Y'all are married, but y'all y'all have each other's belongings. >> I guess this is a waste of time. I just want to make sure these kids are taken care of right now. >> For sure. >> For sure. Then tell her to get the >> Okay. So So let's let them go. Are y'all y'all need to ride separately? >> Dude, I'm not even trying to be near this [ __ ] right now. And I hate to even involve Ask whoever has been around the whole time. Fella left right here. Ask him what's going on. There's 0%. >> I need to get another one. Can you cancel the ride? She's No, she doesn't want to give me a ride cuz he she says that they don't have clothes on and I don't have pants on it. So, she doesn't want to give them a ride. Ask her to cancel the ride so I can get a new one, but I can't get a new one until she cancels it. But she won't cancel the ride. She's >> ask her. >> She's canceling the ride. I need you to calm down for your kid. Do you understand me? >> Stop yelling in front of your kids. >> Go home for the last hour. I've been trying to get home. >> Do you understand that? >> For the last hour. >> Over here. The mother [snorts] kept yelling, causing such chaos that even the Uber driver got dragged into their drama. >> First of all, I'm not taking my rape crazy woman home far away. I drove all the way here, so I have to cancel. I can cancel. >> Can you cancel for us so she can get the next one? >> I'm going to do it after I've waited because I don't get paid if I don't wait till the time is up. She can cancel it now. >> Okay. >> But I can ride. >> But you are too yelling. >> My own time. I will. >> You can cancel it too. You can cancel it too. And it charges me when I cancel it. So, no, she needs to cancel it. >> Then you can wait. Those are your options. You can cancel it or you can wait until she cancels it. Those are your options. >> Who is he? Is he a friend? >> I think he's just a bystander. I think he just he saw them arguing. I haven't had a chance to talk to him yet. >> You see each other or anything like that? I just got a parked down there walking this way to do some fishing. Come by. I didn't see anything. She was screeching. >> Get your hands off me. When I looked, nobody was judging each other. This was like ridiculously kids were just so sad. But quite frankly, he doesn't seem all angry in my opinion. Like >> he was talking to me. I didn't engage with him. I just stood here. This is just, you know, make sure nothing silly happens. But, uh, you know, if anything, she's just obnoxiously belligerent. And, uh, she just Yeah. But they didn't touch each other. He walked away for a few minutes. You know, she just kept going. >> I mean, literally, all of her >> Okay, it looks like she's canled. Is it is >> Okay, awesome. That's fine. Let's focus on that. >> You want to get him to give me my youngest child? That's the problem. She doesn't want to give me my youngest child to TAKE HIM HOME. >> HEY, ARE Y'ALL MARRIED? >> YES. You want to go with her? >> IT DOESN'T MATTER. YOU'RE TOO DRUNK TO BE OUT HERE WITH him right now. AND YOU'RE GOING TO TRY TO DRIVE DRUNK LATER. AND THAT'S NOT YOU'RE NOT DOING THAT WITH my keys. >> And I'm going to give them to you before I leave. Let's get the vehicle in route. Let's get Let's drive. >> Go. It's in route. >> Okay. Does it say anything about how long? >> Yeah. Please and thank you. >> Locating a driver. >> Okay. Awesome. >> Like I said, it took me 30 minutes to get that ride. >> Please and thank you. >> It literally took me 30 minutes to get that ride. >> The whole reason for the phone call is because she was calling, "Hey, help." >> He put me in a hole. Let's Let's be honest. He put me in a hole. >> Ma'am, can I go get something to drink? >> Go get something to drink. >> He put me in a hole. That's why I'm yelling, "Help! Maybe you shouldn't put me in ashole." >> Too frustrated with the mother, police had to negotiate with the father, trying to stop the fight from happening in front of the children. >> Okay. >> Quit engaging her. Just do it for me. For them. >> Stay on the road. Go this way, please. >> Cuz they don't need to see this right now. That's That's all I care about. Y'all can bicker and spat all day long. I don't care. They don't need to see this. >> And you're right. >> Okay. Y'all have both been drinking a little bit. Doesn't matter who's been drinking more or whatever. Y'all have both been drinking. Bad decision to come out here and they all both get drunk with the kids out here. That That's not a great decision. >> You're right. >> But y'all done with that. Let's take care of these two young men and make sure they get home safe. >> That's all we need to worry about right now. Y'all can deal with y'all's marital problems tomorrow when y'all sober up. I can't make her give you anything and I can't make you give her anything. >> Understood. >> So, we need to figure out like she's calling an Uber. Are you going to let the kids go with her if they're willing to go? What? >> If they want to go. Absolutely. >> I'm not going to force either one of these kids to do anything they don't want to do. Y'all are still married. Y'all have 100% custody each of these kids. I'm not going to make anybody do anything. But the thing is, if Uber gets here and she's willing to get into it, I would much rather them get in the car with her and go home than be stuck out here with you in case you're waiting for some. >> But understand the other side of the coin is that then what happens when they get home? >> Do you have a reason to believe they're in any kind of with her right now other than her? She's she's agitated, but she's not violent. All right. Understood. Understood. I'm not throwing I'm not throwing stones here. Understood. So, with that said, uh >> 84 minutes. I'm taking them home. >> If they want to go, I would absolutely let them go. Do you want to go with your mom? >> No. >> Just saying. >> The only way I'm going to be comfortable with that is if I see you get on the phone right now and get somebody and ride and ride to come get the two of y'all. >> Well, dude, we were over there on the other side. We came over here to look for shark teeth. So that's why she's pissy is because we came over here and she was ready to go home. She was passed out drunk on the beach. Passed out on that side when we woke. >> So So what I'm hearing from you is you're not going home yet. >> Well, dude, and I'm not drinking anymore at all whatsoever at all, dude. I mean, I have nothing in you. You know, the whole deal, dude. There's nothing. And And also too, I I can go home if it's necessary. But we were looking for shark. >> Luckily, the father stayed calm and cooperative, preventing the situation from escalating unnecessarily. >> Do you want to take an Uber to a different location? your mom's house, your dad's house, your >> My family lives in Mississippi. >> Do you have anybody you could get a ride to or call? >> Uber to my house. >> If Uber comes and picks her and I guess the older kid up right now. >> Okay. Sorry. Sorry. What What is your game plan after that? >> To shut it down. I don't want to do this. I never want to do this. I mean, when I say this, I mean I mean you can check the records. I mean, you know, every single time that police have ever been called, it's because, dude, she's the aggress. When I say that, dude, she she's the aggressor. I'm not trying to point fingers or pass blame or any of that, dude. It's just it is what it is. So, I called the police because man, a second ago, we were standing right here. Call, hey, hey. That's why that other individual was involved because he's me and I'm standing here. I'm like, hey, hey, stop. Tell the police what you saw. And that's why that other individual was involved because, you know, she she leans into that like, hey, I'm about to, you know, I've never I was raised better than that, dude. And I'm sure that's why you called in the first place cuz you want to make sure you want to make sure we showed up before something else got escalated out of the way. >> Well, dude, I'm not trying to paint a picture and like, you know, like, yes, sir. That that is 100%. I want to get ahead of it before, you know, I I know how it goes. Never have I ever put my hands on that woman and never will I ever. My children are right here. That's right. My children are right here, dude. There's 0% chance. I was raised there. Um, ultimately, it comes down to this. This is a show. I'm sorry y'all are out here for this. Do you got shoes or anything you want to try to get real quick? >> They're in my vehicle and I've got the door code to my stuff. >> Okay. Do you want to try to grab those? Cuz he said the the Uber should be here in just a minute. >> Yeah, >> that way you're not locked out of here and can't get it. >> Okay. Yeah, never mind then. That's up to you, though. >> In [snorts] contrast, the mother kept screaming. He's not capable of taking the kids, pushing everything further into chaos. >> 15 minutes. >> 15 minutes. >> Hey, dude. That'll make things easier. >> 15 minutes. >> I will part ways and we'll walk down the beach and do what we were trying to do. >> He is allowed to to take that kid if he wants to. >> Nope. No. He's going to be out there all night. He's been drinking. He needs to go home with a safe adult that's going to get him fed and get him clothed and get him. >> And he's not capable of that. >> There's nothing I've been talking to him for the past 10 minutes. There's nothing that he's done that makes me feel like he's unccapable of that. >> He doesn't do a thing but drink and go to bed. >> That's all he does. not stay WITH A DRUNK ADULT on the beach. >> You were also a drunk adult. >> Now, >> I also took a 2 and 1/2 hour nap >> before we even got in this vehicle. I worked night shifts at the hospital. I had a couple shots and I took a nap on the beach. Now, I am fully coherent of WHAT'S GOING ON AROUND ME besides this man trying to come up with every excuse to why he's correct and why he's not in the wrong. >> The only thing that I'm going to enforce is he's not driving this vehicle. If he wants to go walk away and he wants the kid to go with him and the kid wants to go with him, that can happen. >> My son is home. He has no clothes, he has no shoes, he has nothing for when it starts to get cold out. >> And he is capable of bringing the kid home. >> And he's not going to be capable of driving. >> But he can call an Uber just like you are. >> And it's taken how long have you seen me trying to GET AN UBER? OVER AN HOUR ALMOST NOW. SO, YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE MY son sit in THE COLD FOR AN HOUR while he's naked almost to wait for an Uber. >> Does he not have any clothes in his truck? >> No, he does not. >> Mom, please stop. Please stop yelling. >> He has nothing in this truck. >> He's asking you to stop yelling. >> Please stop. >> And so, neither parent backed down, fighting over custody out of concern while ignoring the [music] fact that it was cold and the children had nothing to wear. >> Why don't you want to go home? >> Wait a second. Hold on. Hold on. Why is that? Why are you saying that right now? I'm not telling you to do anything. I'm telling you. >> I'm asking you >> because I'm It is It is starting to get late. >> Would you send your They've apparently been home. >> Hold on. Hold on. Would you send your child home with her? I'm asking you a question. Would you send your child? >> I don't know her that well. You know her. >> So, I have to say no. And I'm not trying to be ugly and I'm not trying to be disrespectful. I'm asking you, Mr. >> Goble, >> would you send your child home with her? >> I understand your reasoning not to. I wouldn't say I wouldn't do it, but I understand your your reason. And that is my wife and she's a great mother. But today >> my rate mother is a drunk mother nowadays. Yes, I do admit to drinking three shots. This morning around 8 9:00 a.m. I took also a 2 and 1 half hour nap because I work at a hospital knowing I got to go to the hospital because a mother is Irate. She's wasted too. That's >> ma'am. If you could calm down for a second. He's calm and we can get all four of y'all in a single Uber and send y'all home. That's all. >> He's not getting over. He can order his own goddamn >> He can take the kid in a different Uber. >> He's not taking kid. I will go to jail behind him. >> And then he's going to take both of your kids. How does that solve? >> My mom will be on the way to get him real quick. >> Your mom doesn't have custody of a kid. >> OKAY. SO, Y'ALL WOULD RATHER ALLOW A drunken father to keep custody. >> I'm not having a I'm not having a >> THAT'S Y'ALL WOULD RATHER LET A DRUNKEN DAD KEEP >> the only person who has been belligerent since I've been out here. >> Y'ALL DON'T GIVE TWO [ __ ] >> I DO. That's the only thing I care about care about you. I don't care about him. >> I CARE ABOUT MY GODDAMN KIDS. >> THEN start acting like it. >> I do. Why do you think I'M FIGHTING IT SO GODDAMN HARD? IF I DIDN'T CARE, I WOULD HAVE ALREADY BEEN GONE. IF I DIDN'T CARE, I would have left him WITH THAT KID AND I would have been gone. >> TRY TO LIE AGAIN. >> You drove from almost four pickings down here wasted. The whole reason they're standing here cuz I took the keys from you and you got mad that I did. That's the whole reason they're even standing here. You need to own up to your goddamn dumb >> crazy thing. >> After the spiral of chaos, police finally ran out of patience. Every scream and curse from the mother was answered with a pair of handcuffs. >> So, at this point, are you willing to go with her? Just sit in the front seat and not say anything? >> Can I take my son and leave? Are you coming? >> No, I'm not. I'm not going at all. No. No. Absolutely not. I'm not going. >> My son's coming with me. >> No, he's not. He He has no clothes. >> Hey, I'm going to turn around and come on that side. >> Okay, sounds good. >> Thank you so much. >> He has no clothes. He has no shoes. >> He has not. >> So, he's calling a separate Uber for the sake of peace. >> It don't matter. He's My son's going with me. I don't trust >> You cannot make your son go with you. >> Wait till the day somebody snatches your ass up and send you to jail. You're in. >> So, either take this Uber. >> Oh, I'm taking my Uber. I don't need you to tell me to take my Uber. I'm taking my Uber. My son has no shoes. He has no shirt. The temperature is dropping. It took me an hour to get this Uber. This truck is locked up. WHY WOULD Y'ALL ALLOW HIM TO STAY OUT HERE WITH NO FOOD, no drink, no shoes? >> He's going to take a separate Uber with that kid. >> Because it's a civil matter and what you're doing right now is being an [ __ ] Make a fool of yourself. >> Everyone's going home. He's just taking a separate Uber with that kid. >> Okay. So, THAT KID NEEDS TO GO in my Uber. That kid needs to go in my Uber. >> Nope. That kid said no. >> You can't tell me. You can't. They're not pregnant. >> That kid said no. Yeah, you got to go to jail. Stop. >> I'm walking to give my kid a kiss. I'M TELLING MY KID BYE. YOU'RE NOT GOING TO ME TO THE GROUND. I'M NOT TAKING MY CHILD. I'M TELLING HIM GOODBYE. >> SO, I can't call my kids goodbye. >> What? You're going to jail for this or >> That's fine. I'm trying to You can stop being rough with me. Ain't nobody ain't nobody. Ain't nobody I don't care. Who is it? >> We got one. >> 200. >> So, you're going to arrest me for asking to tell my kid bye? >> Nope. I'm arresting you for this orally in time. >> I told you all I want to do is tell my kid goodbye. >> You're here screaming, hollering. >> All I want to do is TELL MY KID GOODBYE. >> YOU'RE causing a public disturbance. And I've told you several times. >> No, you didn't. You told me once. >> There was no double nothing. You can give my son his cell phone that's in your hand. >> Yeah. And you can take my cell phone with you. That one's his. That one's mine. Yeah. >> They even sighed in frustration. Thanks for being a puppet nuisance. >> Which car are we going to? Cuz ain't nobody AIN'T NOBODY. AIN'T NOBODY NOPE. I'm not I'm not You can stop pulling up on my arm like that. Nobody's resisting. You can stop picking me up. I'm five. I'm 5 foot nothing, dude. Stop picking me up. I'M NOT RESISTING. I LAID down on the front of the car. You can uncip it. I did everything you asked me to do. You can stop treating me like I'm resisting cuz I'm not for being a public user. >> Maybe you should tell Let me TELL MY KIDS. BUT CAN YOU TAKE MY HUSBAND AND MY KIDS HOME? >> Thank you. >> They Nobody resisted. No reason to pull up on me that way. Bro, >> you've been wrong this whole goddamn time. >> You're a >> Yes, please. The father, in an effort to stay calm, earned a peaceful evening with his kids. >> We're getting in this Uber right here 100%. >> Yeah. >> Is there any way like my corkies? >> Yeah, we'll get keys. >> Yeah. >> You got your ID on your bud? >> Yes, sir.
