to this parking lot after she allegedly stole groceries from a nearby Walmart in another apparent Heist oh she walked out with a full basket merch D finally oh took job dude I went to the like south side of the store and right as I went to the South store she went straight out the doors with the merch next investigators get a look inside Selena's car said me dud go for me aot where they spot the we want to talk to you obviously we're aware that you're boosting a lot of stuff yes sir you don't have to call me star work for yes yes um what I am interested in so the reality is obviously you have some charges they're related to shoplifting I think you're probably a really little fish and I am much more interested oh wait hold on a little wait a little fish I'm a little fish a little fish the reality is I know you take a ton of meat uh from Walmart from Albertson's I know you're in Lowe's I know you're in Home Depot it's been a minute but yeah yeah I don't believe that you're know people I mean like like a it just started with one person and people just started asking and they started getting it's just to a lot of different people to be honest with you um I want to say a that you need because like I've literally I have watched hours maybe 30 or 40 hours of you and so I'm yeah that's this entire bag this is my Selena back serious yeah oh yeah oh yeah for months months and months yeah Selena doesn't give up any names to investigators but detectives aren't done talking just yet I I I I I and from 30 38 to now like I picked up like I said I need help somewhere I can't like I I honestly honestly need help I like I said the money was it started with I needed somewhere to go um you to get my husband to um basically my daughters don't be out in the street you know my mom only takes one of them just because their kids are B and they're they're Irish twins so they're very close in age and then my autistic daughter is not you know she's hardart right you know they're very hard very hard so that's basically where it started and it went from there and fast you know the money was great quick easy I was inting out um I had somebody in Walmart how that's how it started let me out and basically that's how it started um and you know one person told this person and they could get you this and that's basically how honest to God that's how it started I there's nothing lie about um and these people that I deal with now became like regular I guess you want to say a regular customer and they do give me lists and that's basically how it goes okay and I try to get what I could get if I could get if I can't get this I get that if I can't get that I get this basically kind of I guess that's where that's where I'm at what is it going for no and again I I I've been doing this a while I've known all kind of bad guys you most assuredly are not some scumbag out there hurting people no no physically no um so I'm not I I understand what you're saying I just I know there are bigger people and again I'm not asking you to say any names I guess that's what are they do you have specific drop offs or where are you moving when you're flipping your stuff where are you moving it to their home okay to their home either older people like honestly they're older people how are you getting lists from them like run me run me through I go um just F on my phone I want to say okay so are you texting them are you calling them both and go I became close with them I didn't even know these people um honest I didn't even know them it started from my mom's goddaughter to um basically my mom's gauter you know you know Mexicans they have money and that's C that's just honest they're Frugal they're FR they're and you know and they it it just became that's what it became Auntie to Uncle to aun cousin cin that and that's basically I'm telling trth I have nothing lie about it's myself I'm telling them myself I what else am I going to do I telling nobody but myself but I mean where we wa from here what let me ask this right now any of the items that you take um more specifically not like produce or food or anything like that but tools um Appliance or fixtures the fixtures like faucets stuff like that where is all that going to the family literally it's to individuals and part of family but not like a business it's not no oh no no honest no honest to God and I'm that's on my life and my daughter's no business not one business they have these people build houses they they build houses um that's basically how it is but as far as they're they're like self I guess self this if you want to what's the market value that you're getting generally like as far as let's say you so so honest honestly like this you say I took it added up to 1,200 uh in half is six they G me like three or four that's just basically how it's been going um I haven't even got the half price just because I need somewh you know that's that's honestly I have gotten half price but that was like the beginning for like you know six months and after that it kind of like went down from there I guess Selena Who repeatedly refers to herself as quote honest lays out the alleged shoplifting scheme for detectives but it's not long until the 39-year-old reveals where her earnings are allegedly going and I'm being very honest like this just how it started it's that's just how it really started and that's basically where I'm at sure no that makes sense how long ago did it get all this kind of no more than a year and a half no more than a year and a half oh yeah about a year and a half i' never been in trouble before okay like I said it just came a quick habit and it just kind of blew up from there I think you'd start I have a bad habit of C that'll get you that is where all my money is going to go and ask where all that good money I am at the casino I'm at the down you guys best said really yeah no way swear machines col no machines machines I've never play don't know yeah I'm too I'm with the own freak for the machines yeah I will play roulette roulette's really actually fun yeah I've never played none of that I'm not smart enough I Amad she's a drug like no it's it's the casin of you go to the casino every every other day every other night yeah you guys know you guys know and you what have you guys been watching me though I'm I'm just I'm just I'm just curious like how we have a bunch of different networks I'm just curious and our job um specifically we de a lot a lot with the retail Community um and the retail Community has different networks so um if they get somebody that that turns out to be um a frequent offender more often than not it comes to us and then once we pick up those cases then we start seeing a pattern then we start going from there and opening up that inv know the reality is I mean um you been sitting out of my hotel room H you have been sitting out my hotel room no I'm kidding no everybody has security cameras yeah no I know you know yeah I I've been waiting for I I knew it was coming I knew it was coming no matter of time well I appreciate you at least next investigators press Selena about her shoplifting tactics let's see what she has to say if you had to guess how much of the money that you're making out of boosting is going to like Casino or dope oh it's all going to the casino and room okay literally um 200 maybe 150 a week on the dope find his habit and my 50 habit the one day other than that it's all literally casino and and the room and food food definitely food right oh yeah I mean I I understand I mean easy money and then allows you to go do the stuff that you want to do I get it you know that's 100% I have what about employment anywhere employment I have you guys look at on DDS I you know you call the doctor like I said I do need help um I know it's it's a stupid habit even I could have I have money in my pocket and I still get still a piece of candy it's like I said it became a really bad habit knowing that I could not that I can do it I guess maybe I don't know it came really bad like I even feel ashamed like honestly I'm not proud of it um I regret every moment you know all the time it just like I said it happened and it just took off from there and people are like probably I like take me a drug test I'll be clean right now like it's not even that like would you say is it sometimes spontaneous is it you said I mean is it for the thrill of it or is it just like you said it just became kind of it just became a habit like kind of easy money easy money and there's a line I paper out like I don't even put it in my pocket I just walk all B in my hands I put n you guys you guys know all you guys obviously know I don't put nothing in my pocket no I put my bags in my [Music] pocket I put my bags in my are there some places you prefer to go because you get less interaction with the employees or it really doesn't matter to you it doesn't matter me okay I just go where I go and sometimes I guess I don't feel comforable I go you get that that spice or something yeah I have bad I'm like detectives continue questioning Selena when an alleged partner in crime comes to light this is a weird question so basically I'm going to be the one writing this up okay and again I try to give the side from or at least the opportunity for you sort of say your piece as well that's why I came to talk to you it's important to me I don't want to put words in somebody's mouth or un unduly throw shade is there anything you feel like you want to tell me sort of about either what you're boosting how it's going anything that you feel like you would like to have out there because obviously everything's recorded um sort of from your point of view or or that you feel like well hey why didn't that cop ask me this question I know it's a weird I bet no cop has ever asked you that but I'm giving you sort of the opportunity to to say you you caught me like off guard yeah that's why I always have to tell everybody this is a weird one because most cops don't ask that um as far as sharing the blame or oh no I can't share the blame it's all me no I I respect that literally I I even ly I'm not I'm not lying I'm not even lying there ain't no I have no help I roll solo you guys obviously see that I roll by myself because I'm telling myself not not when not when you stole them pumpkin there no one that to snitch me out so I will I don't trust nobody that I roll Soo and you guys know that well who's the dude with you when you're boosting them pumpkins out Albertson oh my God that was my husband that's what I thought but it's hard that was my husband in the black God that's been a while oh my God and he's been with you a couple times right but as no I know not in the store with you I don't obviously he's in the car ready to roll or whatever very few times okay very few times um he doesn't like it he hates it y he honestly hates it he doesn't like to steal he's not he's not foreast what have get up to work right basically yeah he hates it he hates it honestly do you have an idea of what you're pulling in a month you know what I've never even honest thought about it um but I mean I can say I make day Okay so a lot of thousands a month easy like you know let's honestly say or I want to say 4,000 in food and the room yeah if the rest is honest to God and like it's not more than $500 a month of of a drug habit within the month moments later the nice detective Shar some words of advice for Selena I'm kind of and I was just waiting to sh myself in I was just waiting for this not well not to get caught right obviously but for him to be to be over clean you know ready go take to my father-in-law and just because I was not trying to be that's for sure I like to be having to watch my back sometimes it can be a blessing in disguise yeah reset that is true good away from everything some clarity I hope that that's what it is because God knows I need I mean there's tons of services that we have contacts really good contacts have to start at the beginning that's you got start somewhere right yeah and basically go from there and after I do this time you are not I don't want to see not you will not prefer not to I said that L but I have no other way to live you know but this time yeah I I it's already I'm over I can't move I can't I'm tired I'm done I'm overwhelmed I'm tired and I'm done so basically this will be meeting you I'll see you in a restaurant or somewhere else I always run into people I'm sure you'll see me everywhere talk it's a small P me that's no comforting here you're not going to do it again at least that's that's the game plan yeah that's no that's the that's I'm I'm done I'm I'm tired I'm tired you know what I did have one last question is anybody forcing me to do this oh no no cuz yeah no and you know a couple of people have asked like where my husband you know like no like no at all but no yeah no Selena is facing multiple charges across several cases including organized retail crime 15 counts of shoplifting and possession of a controlled substance at last check the 39-year-old pleaded not guilty to the charges
