No, he's hurting me. He's hurting ME RIGHT NOW. MY SHOULDER right here. >> I haven't done anything. >> You better stop, Drew. >> Running back. He chased me after he grabbed me by my jacket like he's been pulling. >> His foot got him like right here while trying to push the door open. >> Children do not get to choose [music] the circumstances they are born into, nor can they influence how adults behave. >> Okay, I'M DONE. >> YOU'RE DRAGGING MY FACE INTO THE >> GIVE ME A TEXT. that want to make beautiful love to you, kissing your face, holding your beautiful hand. >> But when important lines are crossed, they are the first to feel the impact. And that is when society must step in to safeguard their well-being and future. This mother made an error in how she responded to her child, yet felt she was the [music] one being pushed aside within her own family. >> The four of them str like they are my kids. They don't want to go to bed at a certain time. They don't want to have restrictions on how much screen time they get. They don't want to have chores. So, yes, it's the four of them against me. >> On October 27th, 2023, police were contacted regarding a family home after reports of ongoing tension and disruption. During a disagreement with her husband, the mother reacted impulsively, [music] leading to her son being unintentionally affected in the leg. The children appeared distressed, and although the father attempted to [music] step in, the situation did not immediately calm down. Hey, how we doing? >> Not too bad. So, >> not too bad. Where's >> been locked out? >> Oh, she's still in the house. >> I'm here. >> Who locked you out? >> I have no idea. >> Will you come here and talk to my deputy for a minute? Thank you. This is the mother. Okay. What's going on? >> A little bit of from >> her. Yeah, you my 10-year-old just came downstairs. That's probably why I locked the door cuz my 12-year-old is just going bananas with her. We haven't had the best relationship the past couple of months. She's breaking things because her heart is broken. >> Scarving the pumpkin and she it's thrown off the back deck now. Oh, and it's broken because she threw it across from him. >> You okay, buddy? >> Stop acting. You're tossing him in the ear. >> Your foot. What happened to your foot? >> The door up. >> That door. >> Blowing up in your room. You want to sit down, buddy? Or sit down. You need some ice. Can I look at it? >> Yeah. Do you care if I look at it? Is it okay with you? Which one is it? >> Too bad. >> Are you okay? >> Yeah. >> You're in your room. Are these the only two children in the house? >> No, my daughter is upstairs. >> Yeah. >> It's normally in the living room. >> Uh, it's always >> Oh, it's always in the living room. Okay. Do you have access to the footage? Okay. >> So, it's just the three children. >> Oh, >> you and your wife. Correct. >> Yeah. All the history from the camera downstairs been deleted already. >> It's been deleted. >> Yeah. >> Well, that was quick. >> That was quick. It's not normal that they would delete everything from >> So, all the videos deleted. >> When speaking with responding officers, [music] the mother remained tense, especially regarding her personal phone use and certain related image data. >> Hold on. No. >> Hey, hey, hey, you need to calm down. >> No. He'sing me. He's me right now. My shoulder stop and you won't get hurt. Give a shot. You're being detained. Give me >> What have I been getting detained for? >> I got the custody. >> What? >> WE'LL TELL YOU THAT. >> STOP. >> YOU'RE DRAGGING MY BABY INTO the >> Okay, stop. I'm going to sit down and relax for a second. Let us finish our job and we'll explain to you what's going on. >> Are you kidding me? >> No, I'm not kidding you. You want to go to jail RIGHT NOW? >> FOR WHAT? >> OBSTRUCTION. >> WHAT AM I BEING FOR? >> You refused me accessing your phone upon. >> That's not an arrestable offense. >> Yes, ma'am. It is especially >> excess for me to grab it >> from my phone. >> Explain to you. I WILL. >> NO, SIR. YOU'RE NOT going to speak to me like that. >> I will until you stop doing WHAT YOU'RE DOING. HOW ARE YOU? >> ARE YOU AN ADULT? ARE YOU AN ADULT? YOU WANT TO TELL what's going to happen? Your phone's going to get seized as evidence. >> For what? >> Because there's possible video evidence of the incident taking place. Okay. I'm telling you what's going on. Listen to me. Your son's foot is swollen. >> I did not son's foot. You physically didn't, but the door that you slammed over on top of it did. >> Are you kidding me? >> Listen. Yeah. No, I'm not. It's pitiful that a mother would do that to their own son. >> No, sir. >> Your son told me your kids are scared of you now. You You really need to calm down and talk like a normal human being. >> I have. >> Instead of acting out. >> I have for years. >> Okay. You know what's amazing? The video that would have captured all this has been deleted magically. Let us investigate that and then we'll go from there. Right now, it's not looking in your favor. >> Okay. The children's accounts gradually helped clarify the sequence of events. At the same time, a strong sense of insecurity was evident. Ongoing exposure to emotional strain within a household can have lasting effects, making children more vulnerable to anxiety or social withdrawal. >> So, who was down here? >> Oh, no. >> Just him and dad. >> Kaden. Okay. Mom. >> Well, yes. >> And you were upstairs. >> I was upstairs in my room watching. >> Dad, are you okay with me talking to him? That's oneonone. >> Are you okay? Do you need us to have an ambulance come out and check your foot out? I'm not a medical professional. >> It's all the shoes. It's soccer. >> I mean, it it it's going to >> Yeah, >> okay. So, that didn't happen from soccer. That happened from a door that your mother was opening. >> Okay. You have >> much different, but I remember coming down and taking videos of like what else she >> looked like before. >> No, like this is my parents room. She like trashed it. There was more [clears throat] pictures and there was a mirror there. Like there's a mirror there. >> Now, when did this happen? >> This is in June. So, this has been kind of ongoing. >> When did I get interested? >> She told me she works for a lawyer and she said physical damage wasn't constitute as like she could bring as much as she wanted. She broke our TV in her bedroom. >> So, you were upstairs the whole time for tonight's incident. >> Yeah. >> Okay. And you too? >> Me and Colton were ding. >> Was he at home or was this just >> sitting on the couch and she came over and like took her ring and like tried to shove me? We were right there buying clothes from >> Y'all were over there with the dogs or >> Yeah. >> Is there a table over there? Oh, computer. Okay. >> And you were sitting here, sir. This was 2 days ago. So, today's the 27th. You said that was on the 25th. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> And her father just got notes that he might have possible lung cancer. So, she in a bad mood about things. >> I got you. >> The screen on my middle son. >> So, that's his phone. >> The case is off. That thing fell down. It doesn't work. So, you were upstairs tonight for tonight's incident and I know that the incident from two days ago you were over there, but let's f I just want to focus on tonight first and then we'll look at history. Okay. So, what did you hear see do tonight before we showed up? >> Shower and then I saw Cam and then my dad called me >> on the phone when you were upstairs. >> He told me to send Kaden downstairs. So, I went to his room and it was locked and I was like, "Kayen, where are you?" So, he was in Colton's room. I was like, "Why is your door locked?" And he said, "I want mom in there." >> He said he didn't want mom in there. Okay. >> And I said, "Dad, want you downstairs?" We said, "Okay." And I went back into my room and then I heard my mom screaming, I guess, like upstairs to Kaden and Kane saying ow and stuff like that. I was just >> She was upstairs in his room. >> Um I don't hear from my room. >> You just heard Okay. Do you know where she was? You could >> like, but she was definitely upstairs and she was indoors. >> Okay. Did you hear anything that was being said? >> Kaden said I think he didn't want her to touch his stuff. >> Okay. >> Electronics cuz she's really she doesn't like electronics. And then he was like saying ow. I guess >> he was saying ow. >> Yeah. Like he was screaming. Okay. Do you know what happened? Do you know what caused that? Al, >> no. >> Okay. Okay. >> So, did you come out at any point? Did you stay in your room? No. >> Do you stay in your room? Why do you stay in your room when this kind of stuff happens? >> Cuz like she used to get mad at me >> for getting involved. >> No, cuz I used to be like I didn't listen to her. So, she would get mad at me. >> Has it ever been physical towards you? Has she ever been physical towards you? She has. Not likeing. We can't count those. >> Like, she tried burning my Jordans once. So, >> burning your Jordans. >> We have a fire pit down there. >> Okay. Okay. And I >> outside >> and she was going to like burn in them. So I was trying to >> How long ago did that happen? >> It's been less than a year. She's It's been controlled out versus >> Who drinks the uh wine? Does dad drink it all? >> Okay. He drinks but he's like up north. So they don't really like Wolverine. He >> kind of Wolverine North and then they're all drinking. It's like they're all still fine. He just doesn't >> he doesn't he doesn't drink to the point where he becomes impaired. I guess is what you would say. kind of drinks only whenever it's like either a good moment. I mean like football games and baseball games like hockey games sometimes. >> Okay. All right. Holding up. Tell me what from your perspective what you did, what you saw, what you heard. >> I was just on my Xbox and then I hear a bunch of yelling. >> I assume your Xbox is in your room. >> Yeah, I was just hear I thought it was my parents yelling. No, Kane and mom. And then mom was trying to shut the bonus room door so then she can cuz we have a connected bathroom so then she can get into canyon from the connected bathroom. Kane came in through the bonus room afterwards and she tried to pull him off the couch to get him out of the bonus room. And then um whenever he wasn't getting out, she went through the connected bathroom and locked the bathroom doors. And then that's whenever his foot got slammed on the door and it was like Colton get a ladder so we can unlock the key. And I was like, I don't really want to get involved in this. But then he got a key somehow. He got a key. He doesn't know what to unlock doors, but I do cuz my mom taught me because mom's downstairs and or I don't know. >> This is downstairs. >> This is right. >> So then she came downstairs, put all his stuff in her room, and I don't know where she went. Then after I unlocked Kaden's room, and he just wanted to know what was there and what wasn't. >> Okay. So, did you see his foot get squished? So, the bonus room is like here and then Colton's room is right here. And this is the bathroom. >> So, then like right next to it, >> there's a door in my sink area. It was about like that big. >> Hold on. Let me see if they're down here. We'll go up there and you can show me that. >> Based on their statements, the children's daily lives appear to be heavily [music] shaped by how adults manage the home environment and access to shared devices. >> This is his room. >> Okay. >> This is the connected bathroom. >> This is the bonus room. >> Yeah, connected bathroom. So, there's two doors right here. So, I think his foot got slammed like right here while trying to push the door open. This door can get locked because it's part of the bathroom. And yeah, this door also can get locked, but it's unlocked for me. And this is his room now. >> Did she come in here at all? >> Yeah, she did. And she took his Xbox. >> So, what's the point in taking his Xbox? >> I don't know. >> She doesn't like screen time. >> So, she like Xboxes and kids. We >> would probably agree on that. >> Yeah. Whenever I get grounded, she'll pay for that. She forgot to put my screen time back on. So, I don't have any screen time on my phones, but the boys both have like time limits and stuff like that. >> You can give time. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Like screen time. >> We have 2 hours a day on Xbox. But if we do like something to help out the house, my dad things down time, app limits, communication limits, safety limits. >> So, she can control all that from her phone. >> Yeah. But my dad can only control the Xboxes. >> So, she gets to control everything else. >> Yeah. >> She gets to control the phone. to my dad's control site. >> Other other stuff. I got you. You were in your room. >> Yeah, I was just sitting right there. >> And this is the door where he was here. >> Yeah, he was here trying to open the door like this. >> She was in here. >> Yeah, she was make sure he couldn't get in by >> Why was she trying to >> She didn't want him in his room preventing her from taking his Xbox probably, I'm guessing. >> And you were there. Was your door open or closed? >> Open. >> Open. I normally keep it open just because like I want to know what's going on right there. >> So you saw him standing here? Yeah, I saw him standing there trying to push the door open. >> When I walked in, Cor was standing here and then Kaden was standing right next to him. >> Maybe she's mad like her TV >> in her room or in here. She normally locks the door >> in the basement. >> How long has that been going on? >> I don't know. >> I don't know. Are they just staying together for y'all or trying to figure out >> because like either Alpha or my mom like apologiz >> it's always it's always at night. She never >> is or is she anyone though? >> I think I have a general idea of what occurred. Let me see your foot one more time, buddy. Notably, these moments of [music] lost control did not seem unfamiliar to the children, suggesting the issue may have existed for an extended period. >> I think it's all been >> Is this where the door hit? >> Mhm. >> Right there. There's a bottle of wine in the trash. I don't >> Yeah, that's that's So, we had >> Unless you had You had something, right? >> Yeah, I probably >> Which is fine. I'm not judging. I'm not I'm not judging. >> I know. >> But in terms of uh if it's 850, that's >> Would this be full or >> It was full. I bought five new bottles of Echo to Money. >> 500? >> No, five new bottles. >> Oh, okay. >> It's good. If you buy six, >> you buy five, you get one free. >> No, you get 10% off at Dawson 400. >> Yeah, you just bring this what they have. >> Okay. >> All right. This is what I have. >> Okay. >> Hey, no judgment. I'm just trying to get an idea of where >> I know I've been trying to the past couple weeks completely under control in case something like this happens. Advice from my father. >> So, any point did she become physical with you? And I'm sure you've already talked to him about that. >> Not today. And I know two days ago you tried to eat. Apparently you were forced to eat a ring or almost forced to I guess. >> Wait, what? >> What happened? >> You were uh not here. >> Yeah, you're um >> I don't want you guys. I don't want you guys thinking. >> She has you before. >> It's never okay, but sometimes things happen with adults that children shouldn't have to see or hear deal with. I was just telling them I said um Thursday I tried to talk to my boys about Wednesday night and they were like it's just you know they're used to it and I talk to my counsel. >> I mean they're here talking to me like they're used to it and that's not a common >> that was pointed out to me today when I see a counselor Friday and he said you know you're setting your boys up to be like you just same my dad you know [ __ ] out of me just take it cuz he's champion boxer >> you know used to get >> and you have a heck of a horse over here. >> That's a blind great D. So they explained to me like well okay >> I did not know that that pattern it's called double merl okay >> white black and gray. So it's two parents who are merl have a litter >> then there's an 8% chance that they become double merl which is the two recessives and they have about 100% chance of going blind. So litter >> seven >> seven her another one of that color and the rest of them are all plain. >> She's the only one that got blind. >> It's okay. >> The other one's smaller too. >> If you're spiritual uh they would say things happen for a reason. physical. Last year around Christmas, she jumped on my lap when I was sitting on the couch being blind and put two paws uh into my crotch and a testicular hematoma. Try to go see the doctor for to make sure my uh >> Yeah. >> There you go. >> The next day I looked down. I said, "Oh my god, >> I bet." >> Yeah. >> Where did his phone go? >> I tried charging. >> Like it works when you can't see. >> So, were you down here when she threw the phone? >> Yeah. The second I gave it to her, >> she asked for his phone. He gave it to her. It actually the seeds used to be sitting here so it just fell down in the seeds. >> Okay. Hence why the seeds were I guess you had them in the oven or something. You had them in the cabinet. >> I was afraid those thing up. I was afraid she was going to check the bowl of seeds. >> Right. Right. Were you sitting here when you gave her the phone? >> Oh no. I was over there. >> You're over there cuz I was about to go up to avoid the conflict. I >> trying to separate from the situation. >> Then they should give me your phone and then I gave her phone and then she >> So she threw it from over there. Were you over here when this occurred? >> I was actually right about here. So is she throwing it at you? >> Trying to me, you know, but it came in pretty hot in a case. >> I mean, yeah, and the case is over on the stairs. >> Well, he tried picking up the case. >> I got you. >> Extended tension can easily lead to [music] conflict. However, it is the responsibility of adults to handle disagreements in ways that protect a child's emotional well-being. >> So, tonight's incident stemmed with dad made a comment to her about, I guess, her dad potentially having lung cancer, but he's been a smoker. She made a comment to her about, well, I mean, what do you expect? He's been a smoker, but confirmed he's got cancer. That didn't make her too happy. >> They're also going through a separation or divorce or whatever they >> I don't really know. He's going through his just got separated from his job. He called it restructured. He was on severance. So, it kind of caused some stress apparently is what he said. So, she's been drinking. You can smell it on her. I I think dad has. >> He has to. He admit to >> Dad said tonight she came out of the room, came by, made a comment about, you know, how would you feel if somebody blamed you for, you know, having cancer or something like that? Well, then she knocks off the pumpkin recording on the ground. It cracks. So, dad picks it up. She over, yanks the ring camera out of the wall, which then knocks the vases off the wall. Then she takes the pumpkin, throws it out the window, which Kayen and her start engaging in a verbal, like a verbal argument, which then in turn directs her to go say, "Okay, well, since you just didn't argue, you're arguing with me. I'm going to make your stuff." So, she goes up to his room, which is why he follows, tries to get into the bathroom, and then his foot's in the he shuts the door, tries to pull him out, I guess, away from the room. He holds on to the couch. Then she gets in there, goes in, gets stuff, takes it, puts in her room. Dad calls us. We'll talk to dad. Dad said there was another incident her occurred on Wednesday where she came out of the room, threw her at him. He took it, threw it behind him. She apparently got the ring, tried to shove it in his mouth, and then according to like a wrestling match, she bit his finger trying to get his ring off, which she's got an actual visible mark on his fingers. The effects of the incident having on the children is different. After reviewing the statements [music] and available information, the mother was held responsible under applicable laws. She continued [music] to express feelings of isolation and believed her family was turning against her. >> I know you are detained, but you are not under arrest. And being detained is the fact that we were asking about not having access to your phone. So them in there. Okay. So, do you want to talk to me about what transpired tonight? >> I don't have anything to share. >> So, you don't have anything to share about what's going on tonight? I'm glad that my husband who got fired the end of August is subsidizing my job at this point. The only one's paying the kids bills and the bills of the home. >> What do you do for a living? >> This is embarrassing. >> I'm not trying to you. I'm just trying to talk to you right now. Okay. >> This is an off baby. >> There's a lot that's not okay tonight. >> We do have to ask questions. That's why I asked if he had anything. He didn't drink anything tonight. >> Are you kidding me? >> No, that's an honest question. >> Yes. >> Okay. What is he? >> He hasn't been inside a lot. >> I remember I ain't been talking to you. multiple martinis >> tonight. >> Yes. >> Is he on any medication? >> I don't know what he's taking. >> Okay. Any medication you know about? Does he take anything for anything? >> He started an anxiety medicine as needed, but I don't know if he's taken it yet or not. >> Do you know the name? >> Because he's grumpy and moody and mean. And I asked him to finally speak to his doctor this week about being kinder. >> Are you on any medication? >> Yes, but it's during the day in the morning. >> What's medication for? >> Is this necessary? Like I said for the report, we have to ask the questions. There's one that was specific. Are you on an influence video to alcohol is the question. >> You said yes to alcohol. So what do you take? >> But yes, I said yes to alcohol. Like three glasses of wine. That's not And when I say glasses, I mean like at the b of the bottom of the glass. I don't mean like all the way to the top. Sir, >> I promise you. Like >> what medication are you eating? >> Singer and Tobias. I take an ADHD medicine early in the morning. >> What is Tobias? um Tobias [clears throat] is her bladder >> and then the other ones are ADHD >> ADHD because I was diagnosed with ADHD and not just from like my doctor but from a true psychiatrist. >> It doesn't make sense what you told me tonight as far as you came home, you went inside the bedroom and then now we're here. Where were y'all? What happened? >> I feeling the wrong person. >> Well, I'm trying to give you a chance to explain yourself. What it's looking like is that you're not one to tell me what happened tonight cuz you know you did something wrong. If you didn't do anything wrong, tell me what happened to them. >> He is an English major with a surgeon father and a narcissistic mom and father. >> Okay. So what happens? >> So >> would they hear? >> He has shrung you guys a bunch of lies and things that are not true. >> But if you would wish to believe them, then fine. >> So you don't want to tell me what's true. >> You're saying your husband is lying to us. I just want to make sure I understand. >> Our children take his side because he sides with them. Because the four of them are like my children. Now we're talking about yourself. >> No, because the four of them string together like they are my kids. They don't want to go to bed at a certain time. They don't want to have restrictions on how much screen time they get. They don't want to have chores. So yes, it's the four of them against me because I'm the only adult here in this home that gets any kind of guidance, adult guidance, mature guidance and chores and restrictions. Whereas my husband just sides with them. >> Get some shoes. You're going to jail. Okay. For what reason? >> I need to put the shoes on. What? >> I need to know the reason. >> Okay, we're going to do this the easy way or the hard way. >> No, you're going to tell me. >> You put your shoes on? No, you're going to tell me. >> Family violence. Family vi >> for a lot of reasons that I discussed you trying to descript. >> You've got battery. Family violence. >> For what? >> For biting your husband's finger and leaving a mark. >> No, I did not. >> I've got battery on your child's foot. >> He's lying. >> Okay. The question he's responding to let him finish talking to you. So, here's the deal. You can put your shoes on. We can walk. $30. >> Please just put your shoes on. Let's go. >> Obstruction charge on top of those or do you want to put your shoes on or walk with one? Brandy. Brandy, put your shoes on. >> Excuse me. No, this me. Okay. Thank you. You guys big strong men. Thank you so much. >> Get your shoes. >> You are kidding me right now. >> No, ma'am. Take a seat. So, >> who bails me out? My husband? >> No, he won't be able to. >> Oh, yes. Great. So, who bails me out? I don't know. >> The mother was charged with two [music] counts of simple battery and two counts of cruelty to children in the third degree. Under Georgia law, she could face a sentence of up to four years in prison. A safe, compassionate family environment [music] not only supports children's physical safety, but also encourages healthy emotional growth, helping them learn respect, understanding, [music] and care for others. A single lapse in respecting personal limits turned what seemed like a harmless exchange into a deeply concerning turning point. We do know that you've talked to four girls at least in town who have all been or younger. >> On June 13th, 2021, officers began an urgent review after receiving reports of inappropriate boundary violations involving minors. The situation started with casual conversation at a beach, but escalated when a young girl's personal space was no longer properly respected. >> What did this guy, besides trying to talk to you, what what specifically was he trying to talk to you about? Yeah. >> Um, I'll tell you the best of my like memory. He just sat down beside me and was like small talk like, "Do you live here?" Like, "Poor Townson is nice. How old are you?" is what he ended up saying. And I'm like, "Oh." >> And then >> so he did ask how old you were. >> Yeah. And then there was another guy sitting on the other side of me who is uh the grandpa of one of my friends. And he was like, "How would you feel about babysitting sometime?" And I was fine with that. But the creepy guy was like, "Oh, me too. I have a little daughter. I have a yacht. You can come like meet her on the yacht. And when I was reading my number to the other guy that was asking for babysitting originally, he got it down and he was like, "Okay, let me call it real quick and see if it's you." So, he called me and I'm like, "Yep, it's ringing." And then he texted me his name after I asked him what his full name was. Well, I didn't say what's your full name. I was like, "What's your name again?" Cuz I wanted to compare it to the Did you hear about the Facebook? >> Mhm. >> Yeah. I wanted to compare it to the Facebook page. And it's the same exact guy. >> So, has he texted you anything other than his name? >> He just ignored it after that and screenshotted it. >> Did he say anything like or anything along those lines? What was he saying other than wanting to get your number? Like, scared me. >> Did he specifically invite you to his boat? >> He said, "You can come babysit my kid on my yarn." >> Did he try to get you to go today or was it like kind of in the future? text you like, I'll let you know when I >> Within 2 weeks, investigators carried out a discreet operation to gather information related to a man suspected of concerning conduct. He was directed to communicate with an intermediary about childcare related assistance. Unaware that the other party was an undercover officer. Based on the message exchanges, officers determined there was enough cause to take action when he arrived at the agreed location. for law to talk to lawyer with you while you're being questioned enough to hire a lawyer question where you decide any time to exercise his right answer question. >> So where you coming from now? You said you had a line. >> Yeah, I would place on my boat. Okay. All right. Officer Virginia here. He's going to be the ones who can transport you. So, he's going to walk you over to his car and then Detective Stewart and I will meet you there and >> sit down and chat what happens at this point. >> That's what we're going to do. He's going to transport you out to our facility. We'll sit down with you and we'll check it. All right. Okay. >> I appreciate it. Walk right this way. >> This way. >> All right. You got anything sharp or dangerous on you? >> No. >> All right. My wallet. >> Wallet. >> Ryan, can you get a bag for me? >> Yeah. >> Property? Yeah. >> Go and face my car for me. >> Yeah. Standing feet apart. Feet apart. Yeah. Good. >> Business cards. >> That's my wallet. >> A wallet. Okay. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I got it. >> Cash. Yeah. Just stand still for me. Don't move. Cash. Middle case. You don't need to move. Just stand still. All right. Have a seat in the back there. And push your hands all the way down. There's a little recess down low. It'll be more comfortable for you. >> My leg is just really hurt. All right. How's that? >> Yep. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> All right. And he he read you your rights and you understand him. >> Mhm. >> Okay. >> What's that? >> They're hurting me. >> Okay. We'll get them adjusted when we get out and get in there. >> Okay. Okay. >> Right this way. >> Wait. >> Yep. Go in here. >> Right here. Oh, we can adjust them real quick. Go ahead and stand up. >> Take them off here. Dig digging into me pretty good. >> Okay. I think I think in just a minute we're going to get him get him off all the way. >> Yes. >> The man stated that his actions were motivated by a desire to look out for children. However, the messages showed a clear disconnect between his explanation and what genuinely ensures a child's sense of safety. >> I just would like to understand what what I did. I mean, go over with me. >> Well, let me down here real quick. I've got a I got you got Yeah, I got a story line. You know, I met a girl on the beach for Portal. I asked her, I said, "Would you be interested in babysitting my 5-year-old girl?" She said, "Yeah, I may be." Yeah. She said, "You might be young interested in my younger girlfriend to do it." She's I thought, "Oh, well, I don't know." So, then the girl just started calling me and texting me and texting me. I love you, Gregory. I said, well, we don't even know each other. This is not going to happen. You're underage. I said, it's not going to happen. And uh she text me tonight. She said, I didn't think you ever wanted to talk to me again in town. I said, well, I'll meet you, but you know, nothing's going to happen here. She said, well, you should bring and I said, listen, I'm not doing this. You're underage. She said, well, I love you. And I said, where are you? She said, "Well, I'm scared. I'm at the park." And I said, "Well, I don't know where this park is." And so, it took me about an hour to find the park. So, I found the park and she said, "Well, take a picture where you are." I took a picture of that house with the blue lights and then you guys showed up. And so, I thought, "What the hell? I haven't never I never met this girl. Never touched her in my but I would not do it. You know, there's no way. I'm 59y old man. [snorts] So, what happened?" Well, it it is about that. >> Well, I'm sure it is. >> The text conversations that you had with the the girl, the you were just talking about >> I didn't even know I didn't even know her name was I didn't even know she was >> Well, you just told me. >> Well, well, the woman initially, but >> yeah, that the guy on the beach said her name. So, >> I've seen those text messages. Not every single one of them, but enough of them. >> Sure. >> There's actually some. >> No, that's fine. >> No, that's fine. And I I just want you to know >> I mean first of all >> I can understand that you're uncomfortable right now but I already >> I'm not uncomfortable. >> So I just want you to know that I already kind [clears throat] of I know how the conversation went. You were talking about her giving you right here. >> No I say understand >> and you put that all caps is >> not appropriate. I know. >> So >> I know >> I understand but but that was never going to happen. Was there pictures exchanged or anything like that? >> No, she sent me a two pictures of herself with her mother. >> Despite the documented information, he continued to provide justifications that did not align with the recorded exchanges. >> What about when you told her that you guys were girlfriend and boyfriend? >> Well, I said, you know, I can I said, we're friends, boyfriend, girlfriend. I mean, but I'm not going to date you. You know, we're not going to do this. It's not going to happen. It's not appropriate. It might be appropriate in Asia or China or Philippines, but it's not recognized in this country. And I said, I'm not going there. I said, you call me when you're the last text I sent her. So, I'm just going to read some of these texts here. Okay. Give a text. I want to make beautiful love to you. Kissing your face, holding your beautiful hand. >> Well, when she's when she's a not today. I mean, that's 5 years from today. >> She asks how big you are. You say 7 in. >> You ask if she wants a picture. I never sent her a picture of anything about me. >> You ask her if she has a small tight. >> Okay. >> So, I mean, >> okay. >> I just don't want you to feel that you have to >> I'm not trying to elaborate on the story. I'm just saying you're >> Yeah. >> Then we can talk about that stuff and but she's not >> apparently. I don't know how she >> talk about tonight maybe a little bit. Um I guess what was the intentions of going to the park? >> Did you bring anything with you when you when you went to that? She wanted me to bring and and and uh and I said, "I'm not doing that." >> Okay. >> Did you do that? >> No, I did not do that. Go check my car. I don't have anything in my car. So, no way. I would never do that. First of all, I wouldn't be fair to her and it would not be fair to me. And it's not the right thing. There's no way. >> Did you go out by >> No, I No, I did not. like how does she know that you she she knew that you got >> she she said we can't do anything cuz I can't get pregnant pre pregnant and I said well I'm not not well we're not going to do that anyway so don't even worry about that >> you didn't send her a picture of the >> I did >> okay >> look I have them in the boat but I've never they're still sealed >> you go out and buy those recently or >> Oh no I bought them years ago >> they're still sealed >> well I don't use them I mean I just got divorced from my wife of several years. We didn't have that use of Okay. You know, the year olds look like they're 20. You know, they look like they're older and you don't know the age. >> Was it Is it that you're attracted to young girls around years old or is it just that this young girl just happened to be young and you were attracted to her? >> No. No. No. >> You were just attracted to this girl and she just happened to be young, but it wasn't >> She was just friendly to me. She was every day she would honey I love you and baby and >> misunderstandings can happen but when similar concerns involve multiple minors of the same age range it can no longer be viewed as an isolated lapse. It highlights the importance of awareness clear boundaries and appropriate conduct in society. >> So how come you put a blanket in the backseat of your car >> to cover this the leather cuz it's I don't want the sun baking it. >> Okay. But so but you're going to meet a girl at a park. See how what that looks like? >> That doesn't have anything to do with it. I've had that blanket in there for I bought that car in 2000. >> You Well, you just put that blanket in there. >> No, it's been in there for years. Years. I covered the seats, so I don't want the seats. >> What if I told you I walked by your car earlier today and that blanket was not there? >> Well, yes. When I'm driving down the road, sometimes I open up the sunroof and the windows in the back and it blows it off on the back. But no, it's always been in there. >> So, you weren't planning on having in the back? >> No. Listen, guys. Absolutely. No way in a million million years would that ever happen. >> The denials I'm hearing from you are different talking to me, a law enforcement officer, than they were talking to the old girl. The year old girl, you were really in control of that conversation. And she wasn't controlling you. Um, you're you're making it sound like this girl talked you into doing all these things that you would never do in another. >> She kept coming on today. I mean, daily. >> But girl, man, >> I don't know. I'm 59 years old. I don't know how old she is. I mean, she might even not tell you that how old she was. >> She did. >> How old was that? I will say this though. We do know that you've talked to four girls at least in town who have all been or younger. We know this is true. We know this girl. I mean, >> and we know one of those is Samantha. >> Yeah, she's >> Okay. >> Right. >> So, why are you going up to these old people? >> Well, again, >> talking to these. >> Hold on. Let me just >> the age. I don't know what. Like I said, they look 5 years older than they supposed to be. >> Well, I understand. But what? But you know, that's pretty young, right? You're 60ish. I'm 34, right? I mean, >> I'm 59. >> Okay. You're 59. I'm 34. >> 60ish. >> Yeah. You know, I mean, I I do understand that somey olds, you know, look fairly older, but why aren't you talking with people, you know, more your age? >> Well, I do all the time. But, you know, in Port Townson, what I've learned, what I've learned as a single guy, there's widowers, coupled up people, a lot of lesbians, and married people, and a lot of young girls. And that's all I know. You know, I I'm communive. I'm friendly. And I meet people all the time, especially on the beach. So, >> hey, back real quick. Back to the age thing. Some of these girls that you talk to, I mean, they told you they were >> No, I they never did. Not >> never told you. >> I never asked their age. No. No. No. >> I don't know about much about your situation that you got going on here with these guys, but sounds like you were drinking when you were taken into custody. So now that you're here, obviously if you're drinking and driving, that's an issue, too. That needs to be >> Oh, I I had a dress. >> I had pizza, a couple glasses of wine. >> Okay. How long was that? >> Hours ago. >> Okay. Looks like your eyes are pretty. >> I'm tired. Yeah, I'm tired. >> Okay. All right. >> It's almost 1:00 in the morning. You only go to bed at 10. >> And blow. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. There you go. Only a couple glasses of wine. 1777. >> What does that mean? And I was trying to keep the girls to the bathroom door and keep me in between him because I'd rather be sane. And I sent and my daughter in the bathroom. I was like, "Get off the door." And he just stood there. He wouldn't go. And I was like, "Leave me alone." >> So, was he blocking your way out? >> I couldn't get out. >> Did you ever tell him, "Hey, I'm trying to get out. Cuz she's I text her. I was like, "Please call 911. Like, I already have the girls locked in the bathroom. I can't get out." I didn't know. I didn't want him to know that we were calling that one. >> So you and your girls, none of y'all could go anywhere. He was blocking the way. And the way that is you were at you were at the bath. I don't even say that. >> I'm going to tell you what's going to happen. They're going to carry you in there like a child. All these other inmates are going to see you do that. Yeah. Just walk it. >> If you dispute whatever kind of charges you bring that up with the judge, not right here, cuz now you're going to embarrass yourself. They're going to carry you in here like a child. >> I'm standing and I haven't done anything and I'm not standing in a way. >> It doesn't have to be drawn out like that, man. >> Let me grab my [ __ ] >> Relax, man. You know how a girl grabbed a knife, you know? But it wasn't nothing physical to where she was trying to cut me with she just grabbing >> trying to like scare you to >> Yeah. trying to Yeah. Trying to scare me like I'm like like nah man. I ain't scared of no damn man. If you you want Yeah. That's point period. So I'm not scared. I'm not going to move. I'm not going to duck and dodge no cuz you me with that [ __ ] I know where you going >> and they going to take your first flight. They ain't going to wait for you. Dang. Oh, dang. Nah, you going going out to the camp room. You going to be in Coco. Like for real. Like that's all that happy told her. My mom was f to take me to my sister house. >> Okay. >> But didn't take me to her sister house cuz she lied and said I made her and the baby fall. That crazy run around the corner. She and she running the glass kind of kind like this in the back. So she lose her ground and she ain't got on no shoes. So she have no has no grounding at all. So when she does that, my first instincts I stop I was still running. I stopped running, dropped my bag and grabbed her. I did all this in one one move. I dropped my bag and grabbed her to keep her from falling cuz I knew she had the baby and I ain't want the baby to get like that baby ain't got nothing to do with none of that. >> No, I understand. >> Like, so to kick the commotion, I'm going just go ahead and mother leave cuz I ain't got time for that. Oh, I did this and I did that to her while she had the baby trying to get me to go. You trying to you trying to put me in jail now cuz you already know how police is with kids and stuff like that. So now you trying to put me in jail like she going she the only one that's all living. See how calmly I am? I'm not trying to do none of that. I'm not trying to have an altercation with her at all. Well, y'all told her to leave me alone and let me stay downstairs. You think she did that? No. As soon as y'all left, she knew that y'all was gone good enough. About 15 minutes later, 20 minutes later, she started that. That's when she telling me and my brother, if I was talking to my brother, I make her. I told her straight up, I ain't scared of any man that walk Earth. And like for real, everybody in the I told her just like that. Everybody entitled the nobody know if I It's Florida. Stand your own grounds. Your brother come over here and touch me and I got a gun and I him and ain't nobody going to be able to do nothing about it because he came over here trying to me like so I to avoid all that. I'm going just go on about my business. I was going to use the Wi-Fi for the neighbors, but she I went I had to get my work shoes. My work shoes still in the house. Like they won't let me get my work shoes out of there. I know none of that. And I got to be to work at 5:00. But if that's the case, I go to work with my slides home. But still, that's crazy. >> Can anybody see what happened between you two other than you two? Were there any neighbors outside or anything like that? >> It was just her friend. She was just holding the baby. But she weren't really trying to get into that cuz she already know it's confrontation between >> But did her friend like see her fall? >> No, she ran around the corner, but her friend was stand friend was still standing on the sidewalk like like going up to the back of the house. And so with that being said, like I did not make her fall with the baby. at all. I did not make her fall at the baby. She pulling on me like I ain't do none of that. She ripped my bag up. I ain't trying to do nothing. She cut my food stamp off the card up. I ain't trying to do that. Her mama was going to give me my food stamp card out her wallet. She took a knife, stamped that [ __ ] up on the counter and went to like it's on a chopping board. Just cut a food stamp card up to keep me home. But you literally not. That's government. So they going to replace it for free. She grabbed my tooth seen my toothbrush laying on the ground. Grab a toothbrush. Broke it in half. Out the door. Like, come on, man. >> How did she break your bag? >> She whipped my trying to rip it. Trying to snatch my bag. Trying She could physic. I'm on my bag. Sitting on my bag cuz she made me get out of the chair. I'm sitting on my bag. So when I get and when she snatched my bag from up in front of me, I grabbed this part of my bag and she still had this part. I'm like, "Man, let my bag go. Let my bag go. Just leave me alone." The people told you to stay upstairs and let me until my sister come. My sister never came because she cut the wife off. And that's one thing why my sister, she stayed way in Bay Island Lake. She not going to drive way over here off of university to come get me and I don't go. You know how that thing go with relationship thing. Me and my sister didn't want to do that. And I know my sister. I I know her for a fact. She wasn't going to come way over. She first when I talked to my sister when she went out do she's like first thing she going to say is, "Bro, I ain't come because I couldn't get in contact with you. I called your phone but your phone won't work in the Wi-Fi." He continued to express frustration toward his partner, insisting he had done nothing wrong while shifting responsibility onto others. >> What's your plan now? >> I'm going to just leave, man, cuz I ain't got time for all that. Y'all heard that I'm pulled out on me. Trying to scare me. She ain't trying to me physically with it. She just trying to scare me thinking that going to make me get in get out the house. But like I told your colleague right here, that was going to make me get out of the house because you physically stab me. We know where you going. And Mary going to take your quick >> for real. Like Melbourne gonna take it. So West Melbourne, Palm Baby, they might give you a chance, but Melbourne gonna take care. >> What happened with the baby? >> What happened with the baby was nothing happened with the baby. She had the baby in her. Okay. At first, her friend had the baby. When she was like, I heard her voice cuz she had to tuck my bag and swung it outside. So I'm out the door now. Mind you, you guys said I ain't have to leave, which I was just chilling, minding my business. She put she throw my bag out the door. So when I get my bag and stuff like that. So when I get my bag, after I get my bag, I hear her talking to her friend and she was like, "Bring her here." So when I I grabbed I picked up my bag and I went to walking towards like the back the back door part. So she So So I ran cuz she not faster than me. I ran around the When I ran around the corner, she tried to me around the corner. So the grass is high like this. She has on no shoes. So when she tried to cut the corner, her foot did that and she damn near lose her ground. She got the baby in her hand. So, first thing I thought about the baby. So, I dropped my bag all this at one time and grabbed her by her jacket and pulled her back up. First thing she say after I get her after I help her after I get up in the air, "Oh, you push me down with my baby. You touch down with my baby." >> So, she was holding the baby while it happened. >> Yeah. >> Did she actually fall or she >> Yeah, she lost her she she lost her grounding but just the her buns touched the ground. That's how fast I That's how fast I reacted to her fall. No, baby. Baby never touch the ground. Baby never touch the ground. Like, why would I hurt a child? I got five of them on my own. No, that's my stepdaughter. My mom was pregnant with her. I took on that responsibility. Like, for real, the daddy do whatever he do for her, but at the same time, like I do a lot and none of my she don't give me no kind of credibility or nothing. She She Oh, I do this, I do that. Mind you, I pay all the bills from the rent to the lights to the water on your half. Your mama pay her half. She don't have to give out nothing. She keep all her money in her pocket. And you sit there. I'm sick and tired of you. Come on now. You sick and tired of me for what? >> Was her friend there when she fell? >> The girl, she was standing right there on the on the sidewalk part, but I don't know what she seen part when she fell. But I picked her I grabbed her like this and lift her up like to keep her from from hitting the ground cuz she had the baby. Come on now. I'm not going to no key. That's not me. Right now, my sister pull up with my sister got seven kids. If she pull up with her truck and you ask them who the favor, they going to say me because I don't no kids. I don't do nothing to no kids. The parent like if the mother walk in I I ain't got a campaign person walk in with some kids and they hungry. I'mma feed the kids the parent. You got to get it on your own. Like I'm not on that type of I'm not on that type of timing. She going to try to make it seem like I did so much home. I made her fall. I made her I'm talking about she crying to her mama like I'm talking about making it seem like it's like I did so much to her. Mom was going to take me to my sister house and dropped me off. But the moment that she said that I made her fall with the baby. Her mom didn't want to take me no more. But I didn't make her fall with the baby. >> So when she had the was she making to you or she was holding it trying to intimidate you? >> Yeah. I could tell she was just trying to intimidate me. She didn't want to say anything. >> She ain't want to none of that foolishness. She was just trying to intimidate me. Trying to make me trying to make me leave basically. I guess >> I don't want her to get in trouble, go to jail. She got a baby. I ain't got time for that. You got to live for a kid. I don't want her to catch no charge like that. You can tell I ain't want to cause no problem. So when your partner pulled up right here and she was like, "Stop walking." I instantly stopped. >> Appreciate you. >> Yeah, I ain't got I ain't because I ain't did nothing wrong. It's crazy. That's It's just plain out crazy. Like it's unnecessary. I don't understand like what's her problem now. She she she been acting like that since I don't know. Every time she get on the phone with her friend, her friends go through their little differences with their their people. When they see that or when they hear that when she hear that and see that now she trying to cause a problem. >> His repeated explanations reflected a strong attachment to his own perspective. However, good intentions cannot replace safe and responsible behavior, especially when a very young child is present. >> What happened in the 2 hours we were gone? Sorry. Now you just explained to them, but I was >> She did not want to leave. You know how that go. You seen what she was doing when I y'all was here. Y'all was y'all was downstairs. Y'all seen her face got tired. She like she just be quiet. >> What happened with baby and jacket and all that? >> Okay. So what happened was Okay, she grabbed my bag, throw it out the door. So I'm out the front door now. I'm like, man, you already told the people I already told y'all can't make me go. I paid my rent like y'all can't make me leave. Like right now the rent the month ain't even in but her mom got a $380 money order of mine and she told she in the text messages she told her daughter >> focus on the baby. What the baby >> anyway when we go okay she grabbed my bag. >> Okay. >> Boom. So when she grabs my bag she throw my bag outside. So I'm like man damn man. Give me my bag. Give me my bag. So me and her tussling over my bag. She don't rip my bag. She gets my bag outside. I get my bag. So, I got my So, my bag is I'm picking up, zipping up my bag, putting it back together. When she gets trying to I hear her come out of the back door. So, when I hear her come out of the back door, she talking to her friend. She was like, "Let me see her." So, I went to grab my bag. I went to run back towards the back door cuz I'm like, "Man, the people say y'all can't make me leave, bro. Just leave me be. I ain't messing with nobody. I ain't causing nobody no problem." Like, as I'm running around the corner, she tries to me around the corner. Grass is high like this. She has on no shoes. So when she cuts to try to cut the corner, she lose her ground. So when she lose her when she lose her grounding, I automatically see it. So I I throw my bag on the ground. I could have just let you in and the baby the ground. But I didn't. I dropped my bag and I grabbed her by the back of the jacket and lift her up to keep her from in the ground cuz I seen she had baby. Like I ain't going to nobody with and I'm not going to hold no kid. I got five kids of my own. >> Can you tell grandma just a long >> It's crazy. >> I'm just asking. Okay. Did you grab her jacket before that? >> No, I didn't touch her jacket. >> Before she walked in the house, you didn't pull it out. >> No, I didn't touch her. I was just trying to get in the house. She wouldn't let me get in the house. So, when she goes out of the back door, when she come out the back door, that's when I try to get back in the house. >> Was there anyone else out there that could like testify to saying that she fell, that she slipped? Was anyone else out there? >> Basically, the the girl that was sitting at the girl that was was holding the baby, she was standing there. >> Did she see the whole thing? I don't know if she seen the whole thing because my mind was focused on when the when she getting ready to slip and I went to grab her and pick her up to keep her from hitting the ground while she had the baby. The baby never touched the ground. >> Okay. >> Never. >> Never touched the ground. >> Never. The baby. >> She said the baby didn't touch the ground either. I just want to get your side of the story. >> Yeah, the baby never touched the ground. So when I grabbed when I grabbed her to lift her up to keep her in baby from the ground. >> Do you know where uh the friend lives at? I know she lives in this complex. >> I don't know what exactly though she stayed in. >> Okay. But she stayed on this side right here. She know exactly [ __ ] like >> Yeah. She didn't know where she stayed at. Like I ain't physically make her fall with that baby. She trying to >> You try to go get with >> She trying to She trying to make it seem like I I made her like physically fall. >> Well, I that's why I want to get, you know, if there was a witness there, I'm not going to I'm not going to say you did something until I have both sides. >> Yeah. Like I didn't like I like I'm not going to no child. Like I got five on my own. I'm not around as much, but I still love them. Baby's all good. Nothing happened with baby. She even said baby. >> I made sure I made sure that the baby was fine. That's the reason why I grabbed her because I seen baby. I seen she had baby in her hand. So I'm like I can't let her hit the ground with the baby. So I grabbed her by her jacket, I dropped my bag and lift her up. So when I lift lift her up, she pop up. >> What about the eyebrow razor? Did you guys get in like a little fight over that? Yeah, but she she telling you all this, but she she tell you she wait. >> But she grabbed that knife before I even filed that. >> You know, I'm like, "Oh, you trying to So, we both got something to come with. I got I got something to with, too." >> Okay. You're just being detained right now. Okay. Just so we can get both sides of the story real quick. All right. You're just being detained. Okay. You're not >> I ain't I ain't I ain't touch nobody. I feel to hurt nobody. And I know y'all doing that because of the baby. >> Well, we're doing it cuz it's domestic. ain't going to touch nobody. >> And my my partner's going to go talk to the neighbor. >> Yeah. >> See what she saw and see corroborate some of it. >> You're you're being funny right now. You're just being detained. Okay. I appreciate you working with us. Where's the little eyebrow thing at? >> I threw that in the garbage cuz it wasn't I was it wasn't no like >> it's not like hanging out in your pocket. >> I wasn't physically. I was doing same thing. She was trying trying to antagonize trying to make her get fierceful too. Like she waving on kitchen known. I know we had a discussion earlier about a pocket. You don't have anything on you, right? >> It's just my pocket. >> I never pulled it off. She's going to pass it down. You got anything other than your phone in here? >> No, I ain't got nothing but my phone. >> We just got to make sure it's not >> her mom over there recording and taking pictures of me and stuff like that while I'm in handcuff standing right here blocking such like she already did it. It's too late. She already sent them to him. I appreciate that she going about her business. Like don't do that. Soon as y'all went to go to put me in handcuffs, she lift up her phone, go to take pictures and like that. That's illegal. Like you can't do that. You can't physically take pictures of me. >> It's not illegal. It's in plain view. >> Yeah, but but but she taking pictures of me while I'm going in blocking it so she can't take any more videos. All right. >> She doing that? Oh, he going to go to jail, child. They they got him in handcuff. When accountability could no longer be avoided, the man redirected blame toward an acquaintance of the mother, suggesting that this person's presence had contributed to the breakdown of the relationship. >> Do you mind just hanging out at the house for a minute? Do you mind just hanging out at the house for a minute? >> Go to the house. >> If you don't mind just hanging out at the house real quick, I'll I'll come back up there and I got to give you guys paperwork and stuff. Okay. >> Yeah. So, she wanted fresh. >> It's domestic, so she can't she can't choose to. So, I got to bring her. Can you just have her hang out for a minute? >> She's not going nowhere. But I supposed to be going to work, but I'm not going. >> Okay. I just have to have her sign some paperwork and stuff. Okay. I'll I'll come up there with you guys in just a minute. >> How old the kids? >> I got a 16year-old. I got five kids. >> A 16year-old? >> Yeah. >> I turned 16 in August. >> Yeah. My boy turned my oldest boy turned 17 in December. >> Okay. >> He turned 17. Yeah. He turned 17 in December. I got You >> driving? >> Yeah. I got 11year-old daughter. >> Where they live at? >> And my daughter and my two one of my sons stay in Jacksonville. The other two stay in Fort Pierce and my other two stay in Georgia. >> Oh wow. You ain't lying when you say you don't see them that much. >> Yeah, I don't see them as much. You know how long you all been dating? >> Almost 3 years. Like and she like I've been trying to cope with this. She been taking me backwards and forwards through this for almost a whole relationship. >> Is that your daughter? >> No, I've been with the mom since mom was pregnant. Okay. >> I'm talking about dad ain't get no bread for this baby to to have this baby baby stuff. No none of that. I did like and I had just like kind of met her. I'm like, "Damn, man. You ain't got to really stress yourself about it if you don't want to like help you take care of the baby like I I worked like I I'm going work it hardly. I work. That's all I do is work, work, work, work, work, work." And so I was like, "Man, you know what? I'm going just help you out. I'm going help you take care of the um get the baby all she need and stuff like her mama ain't do." I did. What people I ain't buy for her such like family wise, I did it. Like anytime that baby need diapers and stuff like that and I got the bread, who buys it? Me. You feel me? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. The dad, she called the dad about a case of diapers. Like, dad ain't never get the case of diapers. But at the end of the day, I bought like I don't have to do nothing like that. That's not my physical child for you to say I try to this kid. I love this kid like it's mine. Like you you was pregnant with this baby. You was only 4 months pregnant. I still got another 5 months to go. You was four months pregnant with this child. And I and I accepted that cuz I could have been like, "Oh, no. I don't want to get myself into something." Cuz she kept it real. She told me she was pregnant when we first met. And I could have been like, "Oh, no. I don't want to get myself involved in that type of stuff like that." But I didn't do that cuz I'm a man, you know, at the same time. And then for you to physically make it seem like I'm not doing this and I'm not doing that. When those bills get paid, they have to get paid every month. Me and her mom pay those bills. She don't pay. She don't have to pay nothing. It was when she was trying to work. She don't have a babysitter to watch the kids. I say, "Man, I work I work to the extreme so you can stay home, watch the kid. You don't have to go to work. I make sure all the bills and stuff are everything taken care of." And that's what I do. Like all I do is go to work. She get into her like she listen to her home girls and stuff like that. They they have their differences with their peoples and stuff like that. So now boom, now all of a sudden now me and you going through it's negative energy. It rugs off. It's like cancer. >> You know if the friend went back to her apartment or she left or >> I don't know where a friend went. I don't know if she our friend went elsewhere. I don't know. But that's something that I don't know cuz they she she's not no friend of mine. I just know her from her. She used to stay next door when we stayed on the other side, but we moved on this side. >> Based on the story we got, >> y'all got to take >> side story. In a domestic situation, we have to determine the primary aggressor. >> I wasn't a primary aggressor. >> I I understand, but she has like cuts on her feet. Her feet are >> Oh, that's good cuz she tried she >> cuz she slid >> she slid along the concrete. That's not my >> She's saying you pulled her down. I I understand you're saying you didn't. I have to take the whole story and and determine who I find the primary aggressor. Okay. >> Damn, man. I got to go to work. I'mma lose a job. I could just leave and just go about my business. >> I can't I can't just let you leave. It doesn't work like that. Do you have anything in your bag that is like any or >> anything like that? All right. I'm just going to walk you over to my car real quick. Okay. my bank card in there and my and my >> Oh, your bag's coming. Okay, your your bag's coming up. I'm just going to put you on this side. I got phones on the side. >> She touched me, too. Like if I can't press charges on her, she touched me, too. >> When did she touch you? >> Huh? >> When we was She touched me, but I was like, I'm not going to get into I'm not going to physically like do that to her because she got her baby. Like, I got to go to work, bro. I'mma lose my job. But it's all good. >> I got your phone. Well, you can make a phone call if you need. Okay. It's right here. Hey, my phone isn't on. >> Okay, wait. When we get back to the PD, we got phones there. Okay. >> The man was charged with child ab without great bodily and battery domestic violence. Under Florida law, if convicted, he could face up to 6 years in prison or probation along with fines of up to $6,000. Children should never carry the weight of adult stress. Seeking support, pausing to listen, and learning healthy ways to release emotions are compassionate choices so that a moment of anger cannot leave a lasting impact on a child's early life. Next, the scene shifts to Illinois with the central figure being a 2-year-old girl wandering inside a hotel. >> THEY GOING TO SLEEP WAKING UP. On April 18th, 2024, in Skoi, Illinois, a girl about 2 to 3 years old was found walking unattended inside a hotel. Staff searched repeatedly for her parents, but were unsuccessful, eventually calling police. When officers arrived, they quickly identified the mother, but she appeared panicked AND UNCOOPERATIVE. Even after being placed in the patrol car, she kept insisting on seeing her daughter. I >> got to kill my baby. >> Ma'am, can you tell me what's going on? >> The other officer will give you more information than I can give you. Hold on. From what? >> How far is that from here? >> 15 minutes, I want to say. >> Is she okay? >> She's okay. She's okay. The officer you were talking to is our sergeant and he's the one that told you that she's in Deerfield. She's okay. I take his word >> BECAUSE I WAS I WENT TO SLEEP. I WAS SMOKING. I went to sleep in my car. >> I don't know. I was smoking and he went to sleep in my car like a dumb that should have went back in my room. That's what I did. I should have went smoke off same ending door. >> Your time is 7:20. >> The mother claims she did not intentionally her child, but that she had taken controlled substances and caused her to fall asleep in the car. You >> want your stuff coming up? >> I will come out the building to get my daughter back. >> They can explain everything. Yeah. Can you listen? >> Please go here. I can help you. The bench is right over here. Just watch the step right here. Walk in through the doors. And the bench is to the right. Just have a seat right there. >> She's okay. She's okay, right? >> She's all right. >> She's okay. >> That's all I'm thinking. Going to the store TRYING TO SMOKE SOME WEED UP AND GOING TO SLEEP. Waking up. >> You going to walk up to this wall? >> What am I arrested for? >> I'll explain everything. >> I don't know what's going on. >> I'm going to take these off, but just give these legs. Okay. Just separate your feet for me. Okay. Pokemon had to pee with the gas station. >> What's your first name? >> Alexandria Washington. >> Alexandria Washington. Okay. Let her search you. We're going to go in that room and we'll talk. I got to do it. >> Stop breaking some more for me. >> Can you please help me with my shoes? >> Yeah. Never had nothing like this. >> Any other jewelry other than this ring that you have? >> Right in my face. In my earrings. I don't have nothing else. Can I have the ring? I'm going to put it with the rest of [laughter] you. Take off your uh your earrings. >> Despite her constant crying and explanations, she still had to undergo the required testing and search procedures. >> Play my daughter. Okay. YOU GOT TO UNDERSTAND. I KNOW. I KNOW. HOW DO I GET MY DAUGHTER? LIKE IS NOT NOTHING TO PLAY WITH. BECAUSE I WENT TO SLEEP in the car. Because I went to sleep in the car. >> Can you take off that sock? Both are denying any injuries. Um, she said she has no medical history. She said she has bad tires, kind of slick. There's a lot of traffic here. So, not requesting transport. At least your husband. >> Okay. >> Ready? Right there. >> Right where >> right on that street. >> Okay. >> I can just have him. My phone got smashed. So, I I don't have his number, so I'm just going to walk over there or go to Metro and get a new phone. >> I'm going to have you hang out here for a little bit. Okay. You have your insurance and your registration for the vehicle. Where were you headed? >> I I was going downtown cuz I have an appointment. >> Okay. Where do you have an appointment at? >> Okay. >> Yeah. So, um and I was late, but I wasn't like speeding or anything, but I've never been down this this road before. I was just trying to make a shortcut. I was trying to turn and look how bad our our tires are. Well, his tired. My car's in the shop. >> Okay. Whose car is this? >> This is my husband's, but I'm insured on it. Okay. >> Registration. >> I'm probably late anyway. So, now >> Vincent's your husband. >> Yeah. Well, we'll call him. Is that it? Well, I'm going to work on a crash report and start getting everything up and together. Um, since it was just you with the property damage, I think this is a city-owned gate, so I'll just document that. So, give me just a second if you guys just want to hang out. >> Can I before I go? So, what happened? >> I have an appointment downtown. I was late. I wasn't speeding. I've never been down this road before and I went to go turn, but his tire This is my husband's truck. His tires are so bald that like the brakes went out. >> You're saying the tires are bald? You didn't see the fence that was in front of you or what happened? >> Oh, I see the fence. So why why aren't you how fast were you going? >> Not fast at all at all. >> Some serious damage to the fence. >> I was not going fast. >> The father arrived shortly after. >> Right there. >> Daddy. Daddy. >> He's like have GPS in my car. And his This is his truck cuz mine needs a new radiator. And uh we have a mobile mechanic and he's collecting balloons off. So I mean he's >> Yeah, we've been together 15 years. He's older than me. >> This our daughter, her biolog. It hit me. It ran out in front of me. >> What ran out in front of you? >> The fence. >> You all right, honey? >> She's fine, babe. >> Oh yeah. What? Is she all right? >> We are fine. >> Everybody all right? >> What' you do? >> I cut down here cuz I was going downtown, babe. down here. I know >> and I didn't see I mean I seen it but I tried like >> you didn't any other car. >> So yeah, let's try and see. >> Yeah, cuz the front cuz you have frontwheel drive and the freaking >> Bab. It's not your fault. >> So that's total. >> It is. >> Yeah. >> So what we got now was a old 97 Ford. >> Oh, you know what? I don't know. What do you want me to do? What happened? >> Okay. >> I know. See what happened. >> I'm not I'm not going to blow up. I'm not going to scream. >> As long as my baby's all right and you're okay. My baby's all right. That's all right. >> He provided additional details, [music] helping officers piece together the bigger picture. >> You think she'd be on? >> I don't think so. She's court right now. And she's checking in every day. Every day she's doing a P day. Well, no. Every day she's doing a meeting and every other Monday, Wednesday, Friday she does a a drop. >> So hard to go straight to a fence like this. >> It's to me too. to me too. But >> she makes her eyes a little. >> Yeah, but she's got a she has a psychiatrist. >> No, she does go to a psychiatrist and I went with her the other day and he changed her her medications and she was like falling asleep a little bit before I left the house. I was going to go crab. >> What medication did she take? >> I don't know what it's what it is, but it's too strong. I can tell you that right now. The doctor made a mistake cuz I told her I said whatever you're on. I tried to wake her up this morning and she was like really really hard to wake up. And I said, "What's wrong?" She goes, "I think the dose he gave me is too strong." And that's her doctor that gave it to her. I don't think she's under any uh it's illegal, but I think that the sleeping pills that this doctor [clears throat] gave her are too strong. I do agree. >> This this isn't even she's not even skipping. >> She said the brakes failed. What did he put you on your doctor? >> Your sleeper pill. test. >> Well, what did you tell me this morning? It was too strong. >> I'm not tired. >> Yeah, well, you might not feel tired. >> The county D is not available. >> Although both parents denied that she had used any substances, officers decided to conduct a DUI test to ensure objectivity. >> All right, Stephanie. So, I've completed my crash investigation based on the impact, based on everything. I've got all the information that I need there. Um, but now is the part where I'm changing hats. I'm going from a crash investigation to a DUI investigation. I do believe you're under the influence in narcotics or alcohol. >> So, I'm going to be doing a DUI investigation. >> Yeah, but I'm not though. >> Okay. Can you do me a favor and just set that stuff down and then take your backpack off? >> Yeah. >> All right. >> You can set that stuff down right on the seat or you can put it in your backpack. I'm not put in your backpack. >> And then come right over here for me. >> Okay. Have you had anything to drink today? Any alcoholic beverages? You don't drink alcohol? Okay. Have you taken any narcotics in the last 12 hours? >> When I first got up this morning, I took one dazipine. >> Dazipine. >> Yeah, cuz I'm prescribed three a day. I took one this morning. I took one uh Soviet with nuxin cuz that's what I'm prescribed. That's the like the tongue like the sublingual >> because I was on the stronger one. >> So, dazipine and nlloxxone. When did you take your nlloxxone? >> In the morning, same time I took my daspine. >> What time was that? >> 8:00. >> 8:00. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Have you taken anything else since then? Cuz it's 4:30 and you still seem a little out of it. You see your eyes are drooping as I'm talking to you. You're having trouble standing straight up. >> I'm not having trouble. >> All right. Well, you leaning on the car when I first started talking to you. So, you have not taken anything since 8:00 a.m. this morning when you took your prescribed diazipene and nlloxxone? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> I think I really would take my daughter in the garbage. >> I don't know. But I do know that fire called us because you were slurring your speech and you seemed intoxicated. The only thing that I have to go off of here >> my speech went >> when you're talking to them and you're still kind of slurring it a little bit now. Plus the contact. >> That's how I talk. >> There's also no skid marks. You straight through a fence. >> There's no turn. You didn't try to turn nothing. the way that you're acting. I'm just going to evaluate you for DUI, but I'm going to grab some stuff out of my vehicle. We're going to run you through some field sobriety tests. Pass all those. We'll get you on your way. Okay. So, you said you're kind of like this, but you're also been prescribed a lot of medication. Even though you're prescribed it, that doesn't mean you can drive on it. You know what I mean? >> Right. But no, I took my sleeping pills last night. They don't leave me groggy in the morning or anything. So, >> Okay. All right. Just sit tight for me right here. Okay. >> The tests were carried out one by one. During the process, officers noted that the mother showed difficulty completing the tasks as instructed, which ultimately led them to move forward with an arrest. >> First test I'm going to do or the first exercise I'm going to do is called the horizontal gaze and stagmas. So, are you wearing glasses or are you wearing contacts? >> No. >> Okay. I'm going to check your eyes. I need you to stand with your feet together with your hands by your side just like this. Okay. >> Okay. >> So, you're going to stand like this. Hands by your side. You're going to do that until I tell you to stop. Okay. Stands right here by your side. Okay. You're going to look at the stimulus. Stimulus is going to be my pen. Okay. You're going to look right at the tip of my pen. >> Mhm. Top >> just right here. Yep. >> Uh-huh. >> Oh, you want to follow it? >> So, right here, you're going to follow the tip of my pen. You're just going to keep looking to the eye. Don't turn your head. Just use your eyes. Okay. >> Okay. >> All right. You're going to put your left foot on the line. Put your right heel against the toe of your left foot like this. So, left foot on the line, right foot in front like this. Okay. You're going to put your arms down at your side like this. You're going to stay like that until I tell you otherwise. Okay. So, do that now. >> Left, right, left. >> So, left foot on the line. Mhm. >> Right foot in front of it with your heel touching the toe. >> Okay. >> Now, you put your hands down at your side just like the other test. You're just going to stay like that while I read you the instructions. Okay. >> Yeah, these are your shoes. So, >> okay. Do you understand? I need you to stand like that until the test starts. Okay. >> I'm sorry. I'm not starting it. >> So, left foot in, >> right foot in front, hands down at your side. You're not walking yet. You're just standing. >> Not that clear. >> Okay. I need you to just stand just like this. >> Oh. >> Left foot on the line, right foot in front, hands down at your side. >> Okay. >> Okay. I need you to stay like that while I read you the instructions. Okay. >> I'm nervous, too. >> If you fall off the line, just go right back to your starting point. >> I just got into an accident. So, okay. Go straight to >> All right. When I tell you to start, you're going to take nine heel to toe steps on the line. Turn and take nine heel to toe steps back down the line. >> One. >> Hands to your side. >> Hands on your side. Heel the toe. >> Okay, let me count the laptop. >> Sure. >> 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 1,00 1 1,002 >> Look at your toe. >> Huh? >> Look at your toe. >> Oh, I'm so 100,002. I can't stand on one leg. >> Just keep going. If you fall down, just put it pick it right back up. 1001 100 1 2 >> So you see his driver side mirror or passenger side mirror >> I need you to just turn and face and stand and stare right at that mirror. >> Uhhuh. >> So stand just like this. >> Uh-huh. >> Do it now. Face the mirror. Now you don't have to walk over there. Come here. This mirror right here. >> Oh, I got one. >> Nope. Passenger side and then put your hands behind your back. >> You're under arrest for smitting the deal. Really? Mhm. Alex. I'm having an unreal influence. >> Okay. Is >> my husband over there? >> Yeah. I think my partner's going to talk to him now. >> The information was relayed to the father along with the specific reasons. During this time, he repeatedly stepped in to defend his wife. >> You want to put your daughter in the truck? You can, but she's going to go with us today. Okay. >> She's under some influence. She's not able to do any of the tests. >> She's failing them. I honestly do believe it's that sleeping pill. >> And if that's the case, then she's also not supposed to be instructed to take sleep pills while driving. >> No, that's half dose. I mean, I don't know if she took a he >> but I don't feel comfortable letting her go when she had a daughter. Not saying she would do will ill will to her, but >> No, I know >> with where the breaking point where she hit that fence is like the last minute. She drove right through that fence. >> Swing that way. >> There's no skid marks here. She just drove right through the fence. She's She's unable to do any of the tests. >> She can't do any of them. I was I was wondering if she is >> she cannot do them. She's failed at some point in >> Okay. So now B she's in drug court >> now. She can't get out of business or nothing. >> I don't know. She needs to get with us. She's a probation officer. I assume she needs to get with probation. >> She's not on probation. She's in >> Okay. So that's fine. Let's just get out of the road. Um DUI is misdemeanor. So she should have a bond. >> So just Yeah. But when you're in for >> that that I don't that I don't know. I know she was going to see. >> We did about four or five tests for >> She can't do anything. >> No, she's not been there. She's not passing. >> I tell you what, this morning I went into wake her up cuz she sleeps with her >> and she just it's like a zombie. >> She's kind of like true. And if it's the medication, you need to go with the psychiatrist. Explain to what's going on. But we we're not I'm not a psychiatrist. It's not a psychiatrist. >> I believe it is. >> So, we can always go based on what evidence we have. >> Yeah. I know she had a problem and I know that she's been good since she got arrested twice. The second time she got arrested, I called the cops. >> The mother insisted several times, saying, "I didn't do anything and I'm not drunk." While attributing the situation to her phone and her daughter. >> I don't know if you >> stand right here just leaning up against the girl. >> I talked to my husband. I didn't do anything. >> Well, you drove through a fence and you just failed the failed sobriety test. So, >> I'm not drunk. >> Okay. >> And I messed up, bro. You know, I'm going to miss my daughter. It's Christmas. I don't think you'll be in jail till Christmas, but don't make that decision. All right, since you're detained, I'm going to ask you some more questions, but you have rights while I do so. So, I'm going to read them to you. Um, you have the right to remain silent, having these rights of mind. Do you wish to talk to us now? >> About what? I just told you. >> I know. Do you want to talk to me? That's part of the questions is yes or no. Do you want to talk to me? >> Yeah, I can talk to you now. >> I know. I just Now that you're in custody, you do have rights. I like to make sure that I read these. >> I know, but I'm not messed up. >> So, this morning at 8:00 a.m. >> Yeah. Yeah. You took what? >> I took a dazipam a 5 mg. I'm prescribed it. >> Mhm. >> Okay. And suboxone. Okay. >> That's the sublingual nlloxxone. >> Yes. >> Okay. And you haven't taken anything since then at >> No, I don't drink. No. >> What's the usual effects for your dioipan? >> I just got put on it. >> Are you used to it? Have you taken it a lot? I know your husband said that you have some issues that they overdosed you. They were taking too much. >> No, the sleeping pills I was taking before. Okay. But you you haven't had any issues. They told you you can drive. >> Yeah, they told me. Yeah. >> Okay. >> It's fine. >> Okay. All right. Were you distracted by anything as you were driving before you hit the ran into the fence or you just >> I was calling on my phone and she's always distracting me. Give me your phone. Let me give her a phone and watch carto. >> Yeah. >> Why'd you go this way? >> Cuz I was trying to do a cut um a shortcut because it's traffic and I was late. >> Okay. To be certain, officers searched the vehicle and discovered several items suspected of being linked [music] to unlawful activity. However, the mother claimed to have no knowledge of them. Hey, you Miranda? >> Yes. >> You did already? >> Yep. >> You want to just ask her about about that? What's that? >> I don't know. My husband has a clean. I just got a job. >> That's an old wallet. >> This is not your wallet. >> That's It was in the purse that you were wearing. >> Old wallet. >> Be truthful. Yeah. Now's the time to be honest. Truthful. >> Yeah. It was probably in there. >> And I probably didn't clean that side out, honestly. Seriously. >> What's in it? >> Nothing. >> So, from the last time they I got arrested. >> So, what do you use that? What's the syringe for then? Why is it in your purse still? >> When I got a job, my husband cleaned out all I left my purse at home. >> See how it looks, though? You get you see now how it looks. Yeah. Come around. So you take dasopam. >> Yeah. >> And there's Xanax. >> They're Xanax. You have Xanax mixed with what's the other one? >> Daspam. >> So you put the daspan, the Xanax in there together. Why is that? >> These are both benzo. He gave them to me and said, "Put them in my truck." >> When was the last time you took these? It's what? The XPM >> and the Xanax. >> I'm taking a Xanax. I say Dam. >> I'm asking you when the last time you took I'm asking you because I wasn't around 8:00 this morning. >> What about the the lock this morning? >> Ma'am, you already found a needle. I have some grill. I'm not going to find any other paraphernalia in here. >> Like I said, >> be honest with you. >> No, I don't think so. >> I saw in the purse that you were wearing. Okay. >> Yeah. parts. It's new. >> So there's no I'm not going to find any of the paraffin in there. >> No. >> Okay. Well, you said no about the needle after that. So, just check. >> Naturally, the father was not entirely free from involvement. Well, there was not in the vehicle. >> There is. That's right. No, there is no >> That's correct. Yeah. >> Legal or illegal? >> Well, there was a needle in her purse and then mix of She says benzo in her prescription. Did you mix Xanax with her prescriptions? >> I don't do nothing like that. >> She said you did. So, >> mix Xanax with her prescriptions. >> Yeah. So, she has a prescription and in that prescription there's other pills. We >> I don't know what she did, but I have I have Xanax. I do have >> It's possible that she's taking your Xanax. It's possible >> cuz her there's pill bottles that are marked for whatever dioazipin, but then there's it's mixed with other pills that she says she took from you or got from you and you put the pills in with her stuff. >> I never put in anything. She might have got actually in my seat. >> Okay. Um would you guys mind waiting by your truck? >> Yeah, not a problem. Based on the evidence collected, officers conferred and reached a decision regarding the mother. >> Sealed bottles of alcohol. She hasn't drank them, but I don't know if she's combining her pills with the alcohol. >> Yeah. Cold some brillow, a needle, and then in this we have some more brittle brittle and um box cutter. We'll put all that in a baggie. I'll just put it all in this area. Then she told me that Oh, you were there. She said that he put the Xanax in the bottle. He said I don't do that, but she has access to my safe where I keep my Xanax, so she might be taking it from me, which makes sense. >> There's something off and I She's probably I told her I'm probably going to ask for urine if she blows zeros. She's willing to >> do that, but I'll read her imply consent at the jail. >> As more details came to light, the father began to show disappointment toward his wife. >> What's up? I'm going to call a toe and have it get towed up means in a second, but I'll let you grab what you need. Stuff in the trunk. Is that what we need? >> Yeah, trunk. >> So, I just want to let let you know um in the bag in her purse, she did have a needle. >> Yeah. So, she come >> I don't want to say this in front of her. Just we can talk right here. One second, honey. Okay. >> Right there. Well, I'm not going nowhere. >> So, she had a needle in one of her purses. I don't know if it was used or not. She's saying it's old, but I'm not here. >> It might be cuz that's the rest she had. Some girl was with her and >> we found the purse. A small little satchel purse or coin purse or whatever was in the purse that she was wearing. I don't >> And there was something in that >> and there was needle she was wearing. Um >> well that's yeah we found some brillow another bag more like for consist. Okay. Yeah. And then she had another small bag. We have some more brillow in the middle. >> I just wanted to be transparent like you know. >> So this is what she got arrested for last time. >> Two bottles of unopened vodka and crown in there. That's not me. >> I know it's not open. I don't know if she's mixing her medication with alcohol cuz that's also an indicator. >> She just told me she bought liquor. Snap. >> She did buy liquor. She bought a bottle of vodka and crown. It's not open. >> She's mixing. >> She don't drink though. >> Why would she buy it? >> I don't know. That's what I'm confused about. >> I don't know if she's been on it. See, she she relapsed about 6 months ago. Her friend went to the funeral. Turns out the girl she went to the funeral with in Northport was a junkie and got her eye back on. And I've been going through nightmares. I've been going through hell. >> This isn't the first time we dealt with people doing behind their significant other's back. It's not unusual to hide something, especially the history of being arrested kids, stuff like that. >> She's she got arrested twice. Now she's a court and I thought she was keeping her nose clean. I thought >> between the testing and the indicators in the vehicle, you know, >> I totally agree with you. She looks guilty. >> She's she's going to go. I'm going to get a toe. But if you want to go to my >> Before taking the mother to the station, officers allowed them to speak with each other. The mother was taken into custody on charges of act of a child without great bodily DUI with property damage, DUI less than or [music] equal to 0.15 with a minor in the vehicle, and possession of drugs without a prescription. Under Florida law, if convicted, [music] she could face up to 11 years and 9 months in prison along with fines of up to $13,000. Prescription drugs do not guarantee safety. When children are in the car, responsibility is even greater because a single wrong decision can cost freedom, trust, and the love of innocent lives behind the wheel. What is most concerning in these cases is not only the behavior itself, but the refusal to accept reality by those responsible when facts are clear yet excuses continue. The distance between perception and truth only grows wider. Children should never be expected to process adult stress or poor decisions. They simply deserve stability and protection. The video ends here, but hopefully it opens the door to an important conversation about accountability, mental well-being, and the role of the community in preventing similar situations in the future. See you tomorrow. [music] [music]
