apparently it's a whole family affair she was putting stuff in her backpack mom's putting stuff in her backpack Grandma's putting stuff in her backpack why were you putting alcoholic beverages in your 17-year-old daughter's backpack because of yeah I idot you didn't pay for any of it no we just because of the wallet was in that's that's not a really good excuse It's Black Friday at a Target in Flagler County Florida where one Trio has allegedly made shoplifting a family affair going hey what's up wel hello what's going on can't speak all of a okay this is where she's at police have blurred this suspect's face due to her age but here we can see several bottles of wine allegedly found in the teens backpack let's continue yeah so her parents tell you want brief yeah so this young lady had this stuff inside of that green bag and the backpack over here okay she just decided to walk out I stopped her asked for her back here more information reveal she's with Mom and Grandma here okay Mom and Grandma did not see me bringing her from points of sale through here okay so they're completely out of the loop on that um on camera the Mom is putting stuff in her bag SL backpack as well I don't know if she walked out with it or not when we escorted her back here that's where our Focus went so um it looks like the mom is potentially walking around looking for her who's obviously detained in here okay so how old are you that's alcohol put it in your backpack my grandma my they put it in your backpack you heard that right the teen claims her mom and grandma stashed the bottles of booze in her backpack but there's more to this story I'm confused hold on I'm confused so she's got the backpack with her this young lady yep okay Mom and Grandma were putting stuff in this young lady's backpack correct did Mom or Grandma put anything in their belongings that they didn't pay for yes we believe so that's what we're confirming right okay just trying to figure out the specifics so when I confront mom that was my question too yeah multiple items concealed in multiple different bags investigators explain the teens two relatives are allegedly also seen stashing wine and other merchandise in their own bags moments later another officer arrives apparently it's a whole family affair that's what she was putting stuff in her backpack mom's putting stuff in her backpack Grandma's putting stuff in her backpack so we're trying to find out where mom is now in the store so I can go get Mom and bring her in here I guess we'll just take everyone to jail Grand next one of the suspects is brought into the loss prevention area where officers get a chance to confront herar looks familiar yeah it looks very familiar doesn't it all right police identify the suspect seen here as 54-year-old yena regul the mom of the minor allegedly involved why don't you go ahead and have a seat actually go have a seat right over there you got any ID on you no you don't have any ID no do you have a driver's license I in the car it's in the car okay you want stay here yeah if you want to stay here I'll go get Grandma you have anything on wallet anything go ahead hello Miss Tamara yes how are you I'm fine thank you you need to come with me police identify this suspect as 76-year-old Tamara keatley the grandma of that underage girl uh yep I have your I have your I have yolina and your granddaughter come on you can come with me I'll take this come on come on going to go right in these doors up here come come with me oh oh this way come here I will push the cart you come with me okay [Applause] the officer leads to Marin's side where the family is reunited excuse me all right let's go stand right over there stand right over there all right so here's the rest of it you want to see if there's anything else that's uh yeah do you guys have any receipts for anything today did anybody pay for anything at this store today just you didn't pay for anything no so you just walked out with all this this is the from the from the store you didn't pay for any of it no which just because of the wallet was in that's that's not a really good excuse that's what I you should have waited inside the store with the stuff though that's it's my fault I'm so sorry is this your backpack or is this backpack along the Target no this is not a Target back crazy question no I'm so sorry I'm so sorry no it's not Walmart Walmart I'm I'm going to open up and look inside okay but I mean this this is what yeah Poncho is this your Poncho is this yours in there and then you mind if I look in here get this stuff out can I get this stuff our stuff oh wow there's a lot you're telling me there's no resale no resale guys I'm telling you there is no resale this is $10 $10 $9 weird is there anything else in the this backpack nothing nothing I'm going to put it on the bottom here yeah there's two uh drinks down there on the bottom too there's stuff on the very bottom and good haul yeah still going with the healthy free ring G the good stuff not um not the black box though yeah that's us get [Music] man employees sort through the stolen merchandise and eventually tally up a bill worth nearly $400 you live in New York okay so you're down visiting for the holidays and getting a lot of wine okay this is not oh I that doesn't matter to me okay where did you guys come from minut before here no no before you came before the target did you just come from home to Target so there's no other stores that you stop that my apologies really I really apologize for for this m I would like to apologize oh you don't have to apologize to me you didn't steal anything from me no anyway everyone always wants to apologize after they get caught all right next grandma and the Teen exit the room before police read Elena Her Miranda rights and ask her a few questions happened this is last time this this is the first time and the last time I just okay there's a whole lot of stuff regardless we we'll get to that okay talk talk me through what happened you came to Target what happened came to Target then we uh you know I said uh maybe some uh visiting Mom you know that's just getting the blood Fred just opportunity to get some um gifts for the family for the BU as I said business partners okay because we have a party usually you know Christmas party and other you know just get back on after family holidays so being said that what's the best you know just uh for the party to have the one not heartbe or anything just something that's but when you get things to the store you know you're supposed to pay for them right of course of course of course of course this is unquestionable it's so let me ask you this why let me let me ask you this why were you putting alcoholic beverages in your 17-year-old daughter's backpack because of you I am idiot okay because I am idiot one more time this is this is the worst this is the worst punishment this is the worst punishment I don't know how to say I I could have said even worse worse than you because of her because of who because of your daughter okay so you put a bunch of bottles of wine and champagne in your daughter's backpack then you put a bunch of wine and champagne is that your bag or is that your mom's bag that you put them in no this is the all just Flo of the bags huh I mean just from her house bags right but was it a bag you were carrying or was it a bag your mom was carrying which one the one that was in the cart on on the on the C that's hers so you put them in her car in her bag and you put them in your daughter's bag yes I'm not lying no I'm I'm I'm not saying I'm honest I'm truly honest this is I you okay you understand I have a hard time believing that you're truly honest because you just honest you just stole almost $400 worth of things from Target yes that's not real honest right no it's not okay so understand steing I understand understand my my confusion about being honest then all right no it doesn't matter which bed because this is this is as I said from the here from the from from home right and that I'm not even talking about the bag I'm talking about all the things that you stole and put in the bags yes I have no you know this this really what I'm saying is this is the worst you can do you know in front of your Channel just because you have no bud as I said this is the first time do you have money to pay for the items really no no you don't have the money toay I of course I can afford like three bottles but not that that kind of champagne oh yeah it's really expensive which is makes it even worse that you're saying you can't afford it yet you're going to steal it so all right hold on do we have I said hold hold on no it's too late for that hold on y Elena appears to come clean to police but when Tamara returns to the room well let's just say that may be a different story she has a wallet in the car and I stay there and she go back to pay okay that's what she so why were you putting things in your granddaughter's backpack and uh this is the same thing if you so you put them in your granddaughter's backpack just only one yeah one bottle even one bottle me one bottle okay because why did you put it in the backpack why didn't you put it in the cart because she doesn't have a car this that's what's happening huh she uh she's walk with me she doesn't have a push car I think I don't right now I don't remember you don't remember why you were putting because in the back nervous no no I I put in a in a in a bag yes for my for my granddaughter I put because she doesn't have a push car I think she's a you know to anyway she's a pay from the box sometimes I use if I use bed pack sometimes I put it in a uh go to register and took everything it's not big but this time you took all the stuff that was in the bag just only let me finish M all the stuff that was in the bag in the cart that you had with you out at the car none of that go to P come back why did you take it out of the store this I don't know it looks like that's stealing why you say it's stealing because you have let me finish because you have things that belong to the store you walked out of the store to your car with the stuff no I was without anything when I found you at the car because she P she have a car I walk without anything and she told me wait I have to go to see the granddaughter that's what she told me but when I found you out let let me when I found you out there yes you had the grocery cart yes and you had the bag that had all the wine in it but I didn't know that they have all wine or something there I didn't know that you I don't I don't see what she's was in in a because I was in the bathroom so you're saying she put everything in the bag I just want I put my granddaughter one barel what she uh that's it nothing else and I don't have a car so how did all the other bottles get in your grand granddaughter's bag is you see in because I was in the bathroom you see in a screen I was in the bathroom I don't see what they they doing there because my stomach is 10% all the time 10 15 minutes I have to go to bathroom because I had a and I didn't know where she do it there there was she told just she push car and I followed her and she told me we have um money in a wallet in the car that's what she told me wait we took uh V because I give V uh my key from the car mhm and I don't have anything and I said wait I don't see anything what they put in in a uh in a back because I was not there I was not there I was in a bathroom okay that's what I'm going to right now okay hold on okay it's not long until officers decide it's time to get the daring Duo on their way to jail I shoulda get some or you can escort her out I will I didn't take anything stand up for me I didn't take anything except the backpack that was on your back when you walked out of the store forget about that turn around put your hands behind your back there's a video of you walking out with the backpack on your back with a bunch of bottles of wine in it just only no just only one Bine uh one only one stealing and stealing don't apologize to me you didn't steal from me you get a hold of get her yes someone who's coming my your dad's coming her dad okay so I am going to give these to all three of you these two are going to go with you to the jail I'll explain what they are here's yours this is a trespass warning for Target you are no longer ever allowed to come back to Target if you come back to Target and you're seen you will go to jail again okay thank you so much you understand that do you understand that you cannot come back to Target okay that means in the parking lot that means in the store anywhere nowhere at Target huh dad's name no doing it now e 226 vacation oh two whiskey five straps 75 all right come [Music] on put her on the passenger second right watch your head getting in all right appreciate it I'm sure I'll let's see yeah I'll see you tomorrow y Elena and Tamara were taken to jail and booked for petted theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor at last check both cases remain open as for that teen police said she was picked up by a responsible adult
