How old are you? You're all wet. How old are you? >> You're very sticky. >> What if What if >> Okay. Well, he's just like literally walking away from his kid. So, we're not going to We have to make sure there's a an adult who can get this child safe. I mean, he's just literally leaving his kid. >> Hi, baby. >> What's your name? >> That's a step. Cuz I I'm just trying to make sure that you're okay and that your your son's okay and that you that you're able to get your >> That is my son. >> Yeah. And I know you care about him a lot, but we just have to make sure that you guys are okay. >> Well, you're so big. Is it just him and this kid? >> His brother is also staying here in a separate room. >> Oh, okay. I want to like keep them separate. >> Yeah. He like does not even know. >> That's what I'm saying is I feel like we should just go take him and put him in a cop car. Oh, >> can I have his thing, too? >> I'm going to take him and go put him in a cup. >> This is the Okay. Yeah, go ahead. What are we going to do? >> There's a guy here. >> This is him. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Okay. And then this is his phone number or >> Yes. >> his phone number? >> No, this >> this is the brother's. >> The brother's phone number. Okay. >> What's problem? >> He's really drunk and his kid was just like sitting out there with him on the corner of Pack Highway and he's sticky. He's not wearing any shoes. He walked away from his kid and just acted like it was no big deal. >> He also helped police reach and contact the father's brother, ensuring the child was taken to a safe place. >> Hi, this is Officer Paul. I'm with the Federal Way Police Department. Are you staying at the motel here in Federal Way? Okay. Well, your your brother's here and he's very very intoxicated. We found him down the street with his son. His son is covered in like sticky juice and he's not wearing any shoes and he's not able to take care of his kid right now. Are you able to come meet with us to take the kid? Yeah. He can't take care of the baby. The baby was found on the corner with no shoes and covered in like pop. You're coming? Okay. Meet me over in the advanced auto parts parking lot. Okay. It's literally right next door for the motel. I'll meet you over in the parking lot. Okay. Yep. We'll have the boy with us. Yep. Thank you. Bye-bye. >> And how you guys going? How you guys going? >> I think you've had too much to drink. I think you probably need to go. You're covered in like pop. I think you should go take a a shower and maybe go to sleep and let your >> I'm okay. I'm okay right now. But I don't know why you guys who are you guys like who who call you guys? Like >> two people have two people >> just driving driving by. I saw you guys on the on the corner and they just wanted to make sure that you were okay. >> After a wait, the older brother appeared and said, "I want you guys to put him in jail." His frustration over his brother's lack of responsibility was evident. >> Literally just walked off like he started walking north. That's what I'm saying is custody. >> Yeah. Do you Well, do you want >> Is the brother coming? >> Yeah. And I figured at that point we would just assess how he is and if he's not >> the real brother. >> Other brother. Okay. Have either one of you had anything to drink today? >> I don't like drinking. >> Okay. I'm just asking cuz he's he's very intoxicated. He was over here on the sidewalk with your nephew and he just doesn't >> Why you guys didn't put him in jail? You guys need to put in jail? >> Put him in jail? >> Yes. That's the only way you're going to stop doing this. This is not the first time you do this. I was just going to ask you this is like this is a common thing. >> It's always >> okay. Where's mom at? >> Mom run away. >> Mom's not involved. Okay. >> Because of >> Because of him. He always fighting with us because of something is nonsense. Cuz I want you guys to put him in jail forever. Not for forever. He never listen to us. If we say something to him, he never going to listen to us. >> I I get it. I I see you're very upset about it. I understand that. Um >> so when it comes to cuz I mean I get you guys have your own beef, but right he doesn't have a choice on this matter. You guys could hypothetically just leave, but our concern is him. As far as like is he the only parent that's involved with this young little boy and do you guys have the resources to take care of him? Like if you were to have custody or >> me and my wife is the one who orig as as well as charges against your brother >> for his behavior. You can go to the court and petition to become his sole legal custodians. If he doesn't want anything to do with him, he can sign him over and then you can take custody of him. But you could also look into like getting protection orders which would protect you guys from him and that would make it a lot faster because it's DV and he get arrested. If you're serious about it, start looking into ultimately today you guys are protecting him and obviously your brother, you know that. >> Yeah, we'll get your information and note in our report, but start looking into the process to take legal custodianship over him because if he's unfit, he doesn't need to be. if that makes sense. And we will we will support it as much as we can. We'll do our part as much as we can. Okay. >> The father finally realized the severity of the situation and showed anger. That's my son. >> 46. We'll take one more if one's available. >> Hospital. But there is no family with him. How the you going to do that? >> Hey, hey, hey. Hey, get that. You are not going to be doing this. Get back or you'll be placed under arrest, son. >> I get that, but you're drunk and you're not going to be any help to nobody. I am telling you, you are going to let him go to the hospital and be seen and we will make sure he's safe. Do you understand? >> They say that? >> Yes. They're not drunk. You are. We're not doing this today. Not in front of your boy. >> That the is my son. >> I get that. But you're drunk and you're no help to nobody right now. Do you understand? You're drunk. Let him go get seen at the hospital. They know where you live. They are your brothers, right? kind of yellow [ __ ] >> They just want to make sure that he's okay. That's that's all they're doing. Okay. >> That is my son. >> And they're just going to make sure that he's okay. Firefighter, they just want to make sure to get him checked out. That's it. They're not taking him away. They just want to make sure that he's okay. >> Would you rather a strangers >> remember me? Remember me. Okay. >> Are youing your family in front of police officers? >> No. >> Sounds like a to me. >> I'm not. >> Listen. Would you rather strangers take your son? Cuz it's either he goes with us or he goes with your family. You choose. We're just trying to look out for him and look out for you. Okay, that's all we're trying to do right now. >> Unfortunately, we're at the place where either he goes into CPS custody or he goes with your brothers. >> So, you choose. >> He needs to go get seen at the hospital. It's about his It's about his health over what you want right now. >> Okay. >> Okay. If you can just sober up, go stop drinking. Find a clear moment, right? And then we start again later. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> A short while later, he calmed down and asked to speak with his older brother. >> Anyway, I can talk to my brother. want to talk to you. They want you. They don't want They just came from them. They don't want to talk to you. They want you to go back. >> They don't want to talk to you. I just talked to them. They want you to They want you >> so uh she like >> angry cuz you are drunk with your kid on the side of Pack Highway. His diaper is soaked and he's covered in Fanta. That's why I'm upset. I'm here to protect this little boy, not you. You need to go and sleep it off. Can >> Can I walk you back over there? >> I always try to ask you guys like I just want to talk to my brother, please. >> They don't want to speak to you right now. Okay. You have to respect that. You can't force people to talk to you. Yep. >> The child was also taken to the hospital for a health check. Okay. You want to sit right here with me? Come here. >> Hey, look at that. How cool is this? >> We're headed to another call. We're going to go for the door. Thank you. >> Yeah. Thank you so much. >> Additionally, CPS was already familiar with this family. They had previously gained custody of the eldest child. The father was later arrested on a charge of criminal mistreatment in the third degree. Under Washington law, he could face up to one year in jail and a $5,000 fine. The child was temporarily placed in CPS custody until the uncle gained legal guardianship. The 4-year-old boy has been rescued today, but the experience may have lasting emotional effects that he will carry with him, and his father may not fully grasp the impact. A child left on the street is concerning, but another left in a car in the heat highlights the seriousness of inadequate supervision. What's wrong, kiddo? >> On September 8th, 2023, in a Walmart parking lot under hot weather, a child was left in a parked car, posing potential health risks. Upon receiving the report, police and firefighters immediately rushed to the scene to ensure the child's safety. I can almost just give me a Oh, sorry. >> High five. >> The mother appeared and police intervened following legal procedures. During this process, she repeatedly requested to contact relatives and seek assistance from emergency services. >> Hello. >> They were cooling off in a fire truck. Yeah, I had to go get them some diapers and they were saying >> like over an hour. So >> that's not true at all. >> We had multiple people call in saying that's where it was. >> Not true at all. >> I'm just letting you know that's what we got. >> Where are they? >> Right now you're going to hang out with us. You're not free to leave. Okay. Right now you're detained. >> Sir, >> go and place your hands behind your back for me. >> Could you tell me why I'm under arrest? >> Right now you're detained. You're not under arrest. You're detained while we investigate. >> Call my husband on speaker. Can I put this in my car? >> I'll put it in your car for you. What's wrong? >> I'll put it in your car for you. >> Could you let me know what's going on? It wasn't an hour, sir. Judge is watching my kid right now. >> You're being detained while we investigate. Like >> Hold up, sir. You're not letting me know what's going on, though. >> I told you you're being detained. >> Yes, sir. You're not. Hold on. You're not letting me know what's going on. >> Hold on. You're You're Okay. >> Stop resisting. >> Okay. Officer, can I call my mom? >> Hold up. Help. Please help. Please help. >> Hey, Siri, call. Hold on. What is going on? Did the police see my kids? What is going on? Please. Ouch. Ow. >> Hey, stop. Stop fighting. Oh, please. Oh, please. Oh, please. I can't breathe. I have >> Stop fighting. Stop fighting. >> Do not crawl under that truck. >> Please don't kick. >> Okay, I'm not kicking. >> Put your hands behind your back. Stop. Put your hands behind your back right now. >> Can I get up? >> No. >> Can I please >> roll on yourself? >> Wait a minute. >> Roll on yourself. Put your hands behind your back. Could you please call 911? Baby, please. I got kids. Could you call 911? >> Put your hand behind your back. Quit resisting. All right, I am. >> Stop resisting. Please call 911 and record. Please call 911 and record. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> What are you talking about? Please hold. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> I am. Please call. >> Your hands are not behind your back. >> Please, baby, you're a black girl. I got kids. Record. Call 911. Please. Call 911. Please. >> I got my feet. Hold up. I want to record. I got kids. Please. >> Please. I didn't do anything. My kids need a pepper. They >> sit right now. >> Oh god. Are you serious? >> I am super serious. >> Call the cops on me. >> Hey, you need to relax. >> Please let me call my parents. >> You need to relax. >> You're not letting me. You just under arrested me for not to call the police. Sir, >> you're a black man. I need help. I got kids. >> We are the police, man. What's your name? Hey, >> my kids need a pampers and medicine. >> What do you need? >> And that's what I just bought. >> Yeah. Let's sit around. Stand around. They're up. One, two, three. Sit up. Stand up. >> I can't. >> I can't. Sir, >> you can help me up. Come on. We're helping you up. >> Yes, you can. >> I can't. >> Yes, you can. There we go. >> This is too tight. That's cutting up the circulation on my arm. >> Well, we can adjust. >> She still remained distressed and struggled to calm down even after being seated in the car. >> Call my husband on speaker. Can I get my phone for a break? Please, what are you doing? >> Pick it up. >> Where am I going? >> In the back of this car. >> Where's my kid? Where's my kids? >> They're in that fire truck. >> Please, can I see them? >> Not right now. >> I mean, what are you doing? You're not telling me anything. >> Cuz you're acting like a fool. >> You didn't tell me anything. >> My kids. My kids. >> My kids are being taken care of. >> What are you doing? Please. My kids. Wait. >> Take a seat. >> Wait. Please. Wait a minute. Out of my arms. You're not telling me you said I'm being detained. Sit back in the car. >> My kids. My kids. >> Sit back in the car. >> I need Wait, tell me something. I need to call somebody. Please. I need to What is going on? >> The mother was arrested and held on charges of child and resisting arrest. Under Oklahoma law, if convicted, she could face up to 2 years in prison and fines ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. Leaving a child alone in a hot car is not only illegal, but also poses a serious health risk to the child. The case of a child in a hot car at a Walmart parking lot was not an isolated incident. Shortly after, another infant was found locked in a car outside a bar. >> There's nothing stopping them from those two people walking by. They wholeheartedly wanted to take the car. They >> On July 18th, 2025, Flaggler County police received an emergency call. A six-month-old infant was left alone in a car for an extended period while the mother went into a bar looking for the father. Police immediately arrived, collected witness statements, and began urgent intervention. >> Smash the windows and make sure the kids are okay. >> So, we know who this person is. >> The car comes back to Norman Finan and his wife is Reese. >> I'm going to pull it up and I'm going to get a picture and then we're going to go in there and talk to them cuz that's not a good thing. Hey, is the baby okay? >> Yeah. The mother, Clarice Finnegan, appeared and shortly after the father, Norman Finnegan, also came out. Police immediately intervene to carry out the necessary legal procedures. >> Can I go to jail? >> We're going to talk about that. >> Give me a minute. Turn around. Put your phone in your back. >> I know. I told them I just come here to get cash. I come here to get cash from you cuz I don't work and I have to My phone is over there. Can you please? >> Your phone's in the >> cuz like I said, I have to then check the baby real fast. Don't let the kid record on here before. >> I had the kid just died or beach last. >> Hey, it's okay, babe. It's okay. I told him I need to get cash from you cuz they were here with the friend, you know, and I came here to get cash. He's a little bit stressed out. So, I let him go out. Can we please my phone? I'm not going anywhere >> in the bar. >> Yeah, cuz I had to. I just quick here because I didn't know. I had to bring him to the bathroom cuz there's smoking bar, you know. I don't know if you know, but there's smoking bar. to add. >> Did you guys come here together? >> No, it was here and then I come here cuz I needed the cash. >> Which one's your vehicle? >> This one. His is black one. I believe over there. >> He got here like maybe 3 hours. You got here 3 hours ago, right? Yeah. And I said I want to get cash to get a baby stuff for teing. >> I get that. But at no point is it okay to leave a child in the car. >> Yeah, but they smoking bar so I can't bring him over there. I had But you put me like this. It's not like I'm going to run. You want to come to your trunk real quick and I can just have you lean up against the car so I don't have to hold you like this the whole time. >> You can hold me how you want. But I do have my phone over there cuz I I go faster here to check on my baby and I forgot my phone. >> We're going to talk to you guys in a minute. Sir, I don't need you I don't need you talking to her. We're going to talk to both of you in a minute. >> It's smoking bar. I cannot bring the baby in there. That's why I run faster. >> It doesn't matter if it was a smoking bar. >> I had >> The couple had a dispute in front of the officers. >> Just to confirm, it was already here when you guys got here. Yes, it was. >> Do you mind raising your right hand for me? Do you swear affirm the statement to be the truth to the best of your knowledge? >> Yes. >> You guys have a great night. Thank you so much. >> Am I going to jail? >> Like you said, we're going to talk about all that in a minute. I don't want to ask you any direct questions about the situation cuz some of the questions may be self-inccriminating. So, I need to >> Okay, no problem. >> Make sure he's okay. >> Yeah, the child's okay. That's the first thing we did when we got here. >> I can fix the cuffs for you in the bar. >> I can fix Okay. Like I said, we're going to talk about that in a minute. I have bad back problems. I was the first responder at 911. >> Okay, turn around. Okay. >> I was at the bar. She came to get me. She was here maybe 5 minutes and I was paying my cab. >> I will talk to you in a moment about >> We're going to swap out the for real quick. Okay. >> You are allowed. >> Well, it's my fault for coming here. He was here 3 hours ago with the the friend. I let him go cuz he's a little bit stressed out for the day. I let him go here, but for me and the baby wake up and starts eating. So, it keeps crying. What I do is make a ride in. I had to pee and get cash from here. >> Do not talk to her. I already >> She's my wife. >> I don't care. She's your wife. You both are being detained right now. You're not going to be screaming over at her. >> But you have no right to talk to her right now. >> She's an adult. She can make adult decisions. >> Clearly, she's also my wife. So any statement that she makes without you reading her rights is inadmissible in court. >> You can come this way. >> I was sitting there and she came to get me a phone. And why are you so mad at me? >> I'm not You're not listening to directions. We are conducting an investigation. >> And she came in to get me. As I'm paying a tab, your officer walks in and says, "Term Finnegan." I said, "Yes, come with me." >> Face the trunk. There you go. Spread your feet. You got anything on that's going to poke me, stick me? >> No. Not that I believe. >> I think it's easier if you go above first. >> Yeah, I know. All right. >> You're a little bit of a taller, guys. >> Hold on. Oh god. >> Hang on. Hang on. Hang on. Hang on. >> You got to put your hands behind you. >> Can't sit on your hands. There you go. >> When her Miranda writes were read, the mother began to explain. Stay tuned to hear her reason. >> I'm just going to read you something, okay? And then, like I said, we can discuss the situation, okay? I want to discuss it until I read your So, you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a portable. Do you understand these rights as I've explained them to you? >> Yes. >> With these rights in mind, are you willing to answer my questions now? >> How did we get to where we're at right now, where there is both of you inside of a bar >> and there's a child in the car? >> It's like before I even get pregnant, it's already I was known with everyone like say hi first before I leave. And then I asked him if he's ready. He's trying to pay his bill. You know, the paper tab. Yes. Tab. He's trying to pay that and we were leave. I think they were ready. I went to pay and then leave my phone in the tape where he's sitting at. And then I run here because the baby is alone. Yeah. I was going to grab it back just to make sure he's okay. >> Why is the baby alone in the car? >> Cuz I couldn't bring him with me inside a smoking bar. >> It's a bar in general, >> right? The smoking bar >> where the kid does not belong. >> I just had to so bad like and I have to get cash from him if he's not ready to go home yet. >> When did you guys get here? Maybe 10 minutes. When you guys are out here, he was paying his tab. Maybe getting ready to go and go. You can ask the bartender, you already have the the paper ready. The one you sign when you pay and then you give them the the money. >> How long do you think we >> 10 minutes to maybe when you were here? And then I had to pay your bill pass. >> So you think you've been here 10 minutes? >> Yes. >> And you're saying you came here to get cash from him? >> Yeah, I wish to get cash. If he has it and if he's ready to go home, then we can all go home. And so he paying his tab. I think if uh you go to the bartender and ask for the paper billion or what he paid for. Is there a reason there is a drink in front of you? >> I think I will do one but then I don't really want it. So it's not like I drink it okay just to say okay to people and then I leave. >> So even for 10 minutes in your mind it was 10 minutes right? That's what you're saying. >> I actually check in between >> when checking on the child in between. >> Yeah. I go back I go one hour here after I go back in here and then I ask him if he's ready to go. He's paying the tub and then I come out again. I even left my phone. I see people so I like come back out real fast. So I said I got to go. >> When you went in to use the restroom, was that at a separate time? >> I just left my phone because I go run faster. And then I uh said I hold on. I'll come back cuz I can't hear the part just >> Thank you. >> They entered the bar to gather necessary information from the staff inside. >> Hi. >> So is there anybody who's going to be willing to talk to me about what Mr. Anderson has been? How long they've been here? >> Literally just got here to pick him up. He walked in the door. I walked outside to set my chair table gear which take about 10 minutes and I had just set up I was having too many problems having to stop. She might have been here 5 minutes. >> That's her one and only shot. She didn't even but sit like swear to God. >> Now it's the father's turn to shift blame while both gave reasons favoring themselves. They shared one strange point. She only left the baby alone for about 10 minutes. >> All right, sir. So, like I said, I was going to talk to you and explain situation to you. I just got to read something first. All right. Do you understand your rights as I've explained them to you? >> Yes, I do. >> With these rights in mind, are you willing to answer my questions now? how we come to you and your wife are in a bar and the child in the bar >> all week long at work she's been watching the kid yesterday I've been watching and very upset when I'm not around she's a first time mother okay so like when he starts crying and freaking out she doesn't know what to do she text messaged me from you know handling stuff over at 1405 doing payroll or whatever so tonight I asked for 2 hours just to go out I got here it's 8:30 tonight she came in half hour ago recording say it was 15 minutes and you guys got She came in and she says, "You ready to go?" Glenn, the owner, he says, "You going home?" I said, "Yes." Glenn went over to 1405. I said, "I'm paying the tab and going." As I'm paying my tab, I said, "Cool." She says, "I see the car. It's running air condition." I said, "Dad, leave him in the car like that." So, she walked outside, checked on him, and says, "He's sleeping." She says, "Yes, give me my tab to Cory was working on my physically working on my tab to get me out of here. Your officer walked in, pulled me out when I'm not around because I'm with him so much. I know how to sue him cuz he doesn't sell su right now. He's only 6 months old. So he does self soo rubbing his back, getting up his head, making him sleep, keeping him on a schedule with a bottle and let sleep. So at this point, anytime he wakes up, she freaks out, gives him a bottle or lets him stay awake and he starts crying and freaking out. So she came here to get me. >> The baby was crying, >> just fussing and and she doesn't really know how to handle this. I was sitting at the bar. I said, "Okay, great. We'll pay the tab. Get out of here." >> You said she texted you. >> What do you do? And I said, "Nothing. Sitting here." She says, "Who's here?" I said, "Nobody." And then I actually took a picture of Glenn cuz I said, "Glenn just walked in, sent it to her." She says, "Of course." She says, "What are you doing?" They said, "Nothing. I'm just hanging out here. I'm having a drink and a shot and coming home." And then she showed up here and left the car running with the AC on the car. I said to Corey, "Cash me out, pay my tab." And I said, "Go check." She went outside, checked him. She came back in said, I said, "Everything good?" He said, "Is he sleeping?" "Yes, she's sleeping." I was paying my tab in your office. >> Did you at any point come out to check on >> myself? Yeah. >> No, I made sure she did twice. >> You're saying now she's only been here for 10 minutes? >> She was only here. The point was she came into the bar. She was here 10 minutes, maybe 12 minutes. Because if you ask Cory, I was sitting there by myself and Glenn just left. And she come walking. Cory gave her a drink. She didn't even touch it. Is he sleeping? Yes. Okay, let me pay my tab. And I went to She was toting up my tab and your officer walked in. It was like might have been between 7 and like 13 or 14 minutes. And she checked on him twice. I don't want my kid in a car in any weather like in the Florida weather, heat or anything like that left by himself. He'll start crying like, "Where's mommy and daddy?" >> You said she's been here since about 10:00. She hasn't physically been here. She went inside to check on me back inside to make sure my tab was being cashed out. Bartender gave her a drink. She did not touch it. Came back outside and as when she came outside, your officer walked in. >> When she came in to check on you, that's when you asked her where your son was and she said, "He's in the car." >> He's in the car. I said, "Go check on him. Make sure he's still asleep." She walked out. She checked on him. Walked back in. She said, "Let's go." She sat down, turned around. The drink was still there and Cory was toing up my tab. And I looked out the window as I was doing my thing and making sure she was checking the baby like 7 minutes. I would never do that to my son. Very adamant to her about not leaving him in the car. >> Well, I was sitting I was sitting there and she kept walking in, left the car there. Cory made her the cocktail. It was like 2 or 3 minutes between that and she says, "You ready?" I said, "Yes." I mean, this there's nothing. It was just And as I'm talking to DJ Root and stuff and Glenn just left and and Cory's asking me to tell Alex, "Are you ready to go?" And I'm saying yes, I'm ready to go. My son in a car. That's That's insane. I wouldn't even do that to a dog. I wouldn't even do a pet. Nothing. >> Okay, give me one second. All right. >> The argument over the keys and phone left in the car created additional risks for the child. >> All right. So So I'm taking into consideration what you said. However, at no point with the vehicle running, keys and doors unlocked and the doors unlocked. >> Understand where you come from when it went two people walking by. I watched them walk by the car twice. They went out to the curb. They came back in and they >> but there's nothing stopping them from those two people walking by. They wholeheartedly wanted to take the car. They could once your wife came in that the baby was in the vehicle by itself. >> I have no excuse. >> Do you have a family member or friend that can come care for the child? Anyone in contacting your phone or somebody? >> I would have to call Tom Barbec. >> Does your boat acknowledge that child was in the vehicle by itself? >> She always insisted we don't have a babysitter because we want to take care of our own child. Can I make a phone call to Tommy? Is your phone over there on your car? >> Okay. Cuz I was going to say I was going to say cuz you just had your wallet in your pocket. >> No, I have my wallet. What's out tonight? >> Perseverance is in the way. You could be given a bond. That's by the Tom is on his way. >> We have to contact DCF. You can let DCF know what's going on. We're going to let them know where the child's at. DCF can come and check on the child and do their job. We don't need anything with the vehicle, so we'll leave it. >> Obviously, you drive this vehicle, right? So, you knew that the keys were in the ignition and that the vehicle was unlocked when you left it, right? >> Yeah. And it's all thing because it's hot. Do you understand that anybody could jump in that vehicle and drive away with it with the child or grab the child or do any kind of thing? >> Yeah, my phone is over >> in the car. >> Yeah, cuz I was waiting for him like that with me. >> You left your phone in there to come out and check on the child. >> Yeah, cuz I had to >> instead of bringing your phone back with you to the >> I I wasn't thinking about my phone, so I had to >> Well, then you could have said, "Okay, I'll wait for you in the car." >> Yeah, that's why I come out. >> You left your phone out? She says she also left her phone at the bar. >> I got it. Legal procedures gradually proceeded. Police began inspecting the car and the child's belongings. >> Hey, ma'am. Where's your ID? Is it in the car right here? >> In the center console. >> Inside the wallet? >> Yes. >> You You want him to take hers, too? Do you have your ID, sir? >> It's in my wallet. >> It's in your wallet. >> The orange right here. >> You guys got a lot of shot. >> Mine is actually not >> really very surreal. >> Uh Tom just called me. He is at the light. He told me to tell you guys he's at the light. He's just panicking, but I can be here. >> Okay, >> let me let you know. >> Thank you. >> Tom's at the light, so he'll be here in just a minute. >> Please, they're taking me away, but Tommy's here. Let Tommy deal with it. We're going to arrange about 8:30 in the morning. All right, back separately. >> Don't freak out. Um, I'm just more I'm more scared for him. Jesus. >> Hi. >> Tom's here. >> Yeah, Tom is here. >> Tom is here. >> Is it formula? It doesn't have the directions on the can like it should. >> I actually I mixed it all together. >> You already mixed it? Well, it doesn't stay good that long. >> Okay. You have it premixed and ready to go. So, he just has to add the water. Is there any actual formula? >> If you look at that bucket, right there. There's um Yeah, like a three divided. Yeah, >> there's three divided. >> I think it should make it till morning. Yeah. >> Go this way. I'm going to go to that second car right >> even though I'm the one who stay all the way. >> Afterwards, they proceeded to check the mother. >> All right. So, I'm going to be searching you. Okay. Spread your feet for me. Yeah. All right. Is there anything on you that's going to poke or stick me, hurt me in any way? >> My earring, maybe. >> If you have anything that would be considered contraband in an inmate facility, >> I know. >> And just be aware if you do introduce anything that's considered contraband, it's an additional felony. Okay. The earrings they'll take out at the jail. What kind of necklace are you wearing? I'm going to add this with her property just cuz >> Okay, I'll grab another one. >> Okay. >> It's easy if you go butt first. >> There you go. And watch your head. >> I did see my go. >> Yep. I got it. Don't worry. >> Yeah, I ran out of Manila on the looks. So, >> the mother, Clarice and Cello Finnegan, and the father, Norman Edward Finnegan, were arrested and held on charges of child without great bodily. Under Florida law, if convicted, each could face up to 5 years in prison or probation along with fines up to $5,000. Cars can heat up quickly in the sun, and infants cannot regulate their body temperature well. A child unattended in a car can pose health problems as well as other safety hazards. Thank you for joining me on this journey of uncovering these thought-provoking stories. Three cases, three different circumstances, yet all lead to the same outcome. Lasting impacts on children. Every moment a child is not properly supervised not only breaks the law but also affects their long-term development and well-being.
