She has a 55-in TV. Our camera's on there full-time watching us. >> We have been getting several calls from you recently. >> Yes, because we used to >> of all the kids, right? >> Yeah, and isn't that >> It's not your >> do it? >> No, it is you are the only person >> will sit here and watch you. >> calling. >> If you ever needed proof that being the neighborhood busybody can spiral completely out of control, this is it. The star of today's body cam for some reason looked outside and saw a group of kids playing and decided that she needed to be the one to restore law and order with a garden hose. The problem is she picked the wrong kid. >> On September 10th, 2025, [music] a father called 911 after his elderly neighbor Karen had been [music] harassing his 8-year-old daughter for months and today sprayed her with a garden hose. [music] When officers arrive, they find the father and daughter waiting and confront them. >> They got video of >> Perfect. >> Yeah. >> They were playing with Power Wheels up and down the hill. It's kind of hard to see. She starts spraying the garden hose. Sprays it up at my daughter, makes my daughter go out in the street. >> All violent, we got that on film. >> It didn't hit her a whole lot, just a little bit on the side. But I mean this is getting freaking ridiculous. >> Yeah. >> Like you can't kids can't even play outside. She calls cuz they say we're no nobody's out here with them. I was mowing my yard the night when you guys had to come. >> Yep. >> I was watching them. >> Yeah. >> And then she did it again. And now she's spraying my daughter with my hose. >> Do you have a way to email that to >> Yeah, I can. >> Officer, uh So, did your daughter >> Yes. >> Did Did you get sprayed or were you just scared that you were going to get sprayed? >> get sprayed. >> Did you get sprayed? So, I think we've definitely got a disorderly conduct if nothing else for alarming and disturbing. If you got sprayed, it might actually even be a battery. So, you did get wet? Where is dry now? It's on your shoulder. Okay. Hey Violet, I just need to talk to you real quick. Just tell me Go ahead and just tell me what happened. >> This old bitter [ __ ] she's spraying kids with a water hose for just playing outside. Seriously? What was she doing THE WHOLE "GET OUT OF MY YARD!" >> [screaming] >> IS THAT SERIOUSLY WHAT was going on? Were the kids playing outside and they like walked in her grass or something stupid like that? I cannot believe Okay, this woman is probably thinking it's just water. It's not that big of a deal. It is absolutely that big of a deal. You are harassing children. And like the officer said, the fact that the little girl got wet, that's considered battery. It's considered battery, you dumb ass. Let kids play. This woman, she sounds like she thinks that everybody needs to fall in the line with her opinions and the way she thinks that things need to be done. She obviously has that old time saying in her head that it takes a village to raise a child. [ __ ] nobody invited you into this village. You just happened to live there. >> I Me and him, he's Tyler. We like playing. So, she called the cops before cuz we ride >> all the time, yeah. >> So, we were just riding this car is a power wheels. We ride it just down there and then we stopped right at that beauty shop uh where the sidewalk like this. We stopped like that and then we turned around. WELL, THE FIRST time we we went down the alley. Like we didn't do all the way. It doesn't turn well, so we accidentally went on her property. Yeah. We actually touched her corner. And then I just said, "I want to hop out. I just want to walk." Then once I started walking right there, she started she got her hose nice and kept on she I did just like watering her grass and then she saw me walking up she was like spraying at me. >> She has like a like a like she has a 55-in TV camera. >> Yeah, and she has a 55-in TV cameras on there full time watching us. >> Yeah, that's right. And you were you were just walking down the sidewalk, too, when that happened? >> And then she sprayed me off and then I had to walk into the street. >> hoping she would get arrested this time. >> Kind of cuz she does >> She's making a problem of this. >> Yeah, she keeps on doing it. >> She is. >> I'm getting a little annoyed from this. >> Yeah. I would be, too. >> I haven't been annoyed since my dad got arrested. Yeah, that really annoyed me. >> Yeah, it's uh She's not very nice. >> Yeah. >> Where were we at? We have >> I mean, for being like 8 years old or whatever, these kids are pretty well-spoken. They really do seem to know right from wrong. They seem to know that yes, I touched, you know, the corner of her property, but it's because the turning of the the motorized Big Wheel or whatever it was that they had, the turning was bad, and so they accidentally set foot on her property, which I mean, we also saw the footage of the little girl being on her property, and then that's when the woman took the garden hose and sprayed it at her. But like is it necessary to be this way? Like do you really have to have cameras with a 55-in TV hooked up so that you could Well, she's probably old, so she needs a 55-in TV to see all of the camera footage. Let's Let's just be real. Let's just be real here, okay? Old bitty Karen's got bad eyes, and she needs a big TV so that she can watch those evil children traipsing around her yard and call the police on them. But anyway, it said his dad was tak- I hope it had nothing to do with this neighbor. That That's That's pretty awkward. These kids are like, "We were really wishing that she would be arrested this time like my dad was." I want to know that story. >> Statement from dad, statement from daughter. Um you've got his information as witness. So, I asked him while you were talking with dad if he felt specifically like um she was aiming at the little girl and he said absolutely because the farther she moved away from her Nancy would like aim it higher to get, you know, the line You can you can see it in the video. All right. So, we have a complainant, we have a crime. What do you think we've got? >> We've got a case. >> We've got a case. >> All right. Cool. >> Hello, sir. >> Hi, Nancy. Do you mind whenever we're just done with all of this uh victim rights forms to the dad down there? >> Yep. >> Great t-shirt guy. >> I am the victim. >> HOW DID I KNOW THAT THAT was going to be her opening line? I am the victim. She heard this officer refer to the victim's rights and I'm the victim. Of course you are. Look at how you're sitting ON YOUR FRONT PORCH STOOP, you old [ __ ] >> I am the victim. >> Clearly you are the victim. I mean, you look like you've just been absolutely harassed the entire time that you've lived here. Those damn kids and their shenanigans. >> Did you spray her with your garden hose? >> Look at her clothes. No, I didn't. I swear to god. >> Well, they have a video of it. >> You see her clothes wet? >> Well, they have a video of it. >> Do you see wet clothes on her? Have you checked the inside of that car? He isn't I'm not going to say a liar. >> Well >> He's a con. >> The video that we have is the best. >> around, he'll spit on your back and call you some names and give you the finger. >> Well, I don't know. I'm so that's fine. >> you as communist. He's not all there. >> I don't know what to tell you, Nancy. >> I don't either. >> There's We have video of you. >> that he calls you communist? >> No, I find it funny that you're calling him crazy. That's kind of a >> ARE YOU GOING >> [laughter] >> HOT MEAT KETTLE, you're calling him crazy? Oh, Nancy, you want to call him crazy? Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones. >> Well, it's possible. >> I'm putting in a report on you because you cannot tell me that verbally on the phone. >> ma'am. You're under arrest. I didn't tell you anything over the phone. >> Why? Yes, you did that night. >> I don't believe you have any proof of that. You're under arrest. Step down off the porch. >> You're pathetic. >> Yes. You're under arrest. >> Fine. Who's going to take care of my dog? >> Come step down off the porch for me, Nancy. You'll have to make arrangements for that, ma'am. >> Get your feelings hurt, huh? He's the one. >> No, ma'am. Yeah, come with me. >> Do I get shoes? >> some shoes? Do you have shoes? >> I have medication. >> Let's go and get your shoes. >> I've had a stroke. Do you want to take me? I want to go to the hospital. >> Yeah, let's go get your shoes >> to get your shoes first. >> God damn, you're just giving him so much leeway, Joe. You're just giving him all the rope he needs. >> Well, let's go get your shoes. >> We got to go get your shoes. >> You got to call my daughter? >> Here, I'll hold it for you. >> Thank you. >> you a I'll get you a call. Let's go. >> with this, do you? >> got to get your shoes, Nancy. We come on. >> Do you? >> We got to get your shoes. Let's go get your >> Nancy, they all agree with this, okay? You just need to shut your mouth and go quietly. Get your medication and get your shoes and sit your ass down in the back of the police car. What does she mean you're giving him all the lead he needs? That you're giving him all this rope. To do what? To do what, Nancy? Really? Come on. Come on, Nancy. Nancy. Let's go inside your house and check out your setup. >> Your shoes. >> Answer the door. >> get your shoes. Come on. >> I swear. >> I'll grab that. You step over it. I'll get it. >> I'll get it. I'll take care of Whoops. I'll take care of it twice. Just go But you don't want to get the air. You know what? I want to go to the hospital. >> Okay. >> And then I want admitted. For mentally ill. >> Okay. We can do that. >> then I won't have to go to the damn jail. >> You still have to go to the jail. >> Even if you're mentally >> Mhm. They'll get you checked out there and we'll still have to take you to the jail. >> May I call my husband? >> She's like, "Ah, [ __ ] It really ain't the good old days anymore." You can't just claim insanity and stay in the hospital. They got wind of that method a long time ago and they just had a bunch of people sitting around in the hospital when they should have been sitting in jail cells because it's like everybody thought, "Oh, I could just claim insanity and not have to go to jail." No. No. You're still going to go to jail. They're going to They're going to check and see if you really are crazy and then you're going to go to jail. Yep, Nancy, call your husband cuz you got yourself in some deep [ __ ] >> Once Once we get out of here and we get you to the hospital, we can you can call your husband. Just get your shoes so we'll get it going. We'll get you >> anything wrong. Go check the clothes. >> faster. >> Go check the clothes. >> Get you back here faster. >> to bring me back here? >> Well, they can get when they get out when you get out of jail. >> When is that going to be? >> they probably won't I don't know how long it'll be. I can't determine how long that they'll hold you for, but we need to go. >> Yes, sir. Yes, sir. >> We need to get your shoes on so we can get this going. >> You better get a armful medicine cuz if I stroke out in the kitchen. >> Well, go get it, please. >> I've been told to get my shoes. >> Okay. We need >> do you want me? >> Well, you're not getting your shoes, either, [ __ ] Get your shoes and then go get your medicine so that you don't end up stroking out on these poor officers that are just trying to do their job, okay? We all wouldn't be here if you weren't sticking your nose where it didn't belong and watching children on camera on a big screen in your living room. Ew. Some people go to jail for that, Nancy. You're lucky you don't get that charge. I really hope that they don't go digging into your footage and find something that you don't want them to find because some people would consider what you're doing creepy. >> Shoes first. >> shoes first. >> Uh I'd like my phone to call my husband. >> You don't get to make calls right now. You are under arrest. >> Mhm. >> Okay? When you get to the jail, you can aggravated battery. >> Aggravated battery? I didn't do anything. >> Nancy, this is not the time to debate anything. You will have a court date. You understand the whole process. Stop delaying. Please just get your shoes, get your meds. We will get you to the hospital, okay? If you need treatment, you will stay at the hospital for treatment. >> That's all I want to hear. >> Sure. >> Good enough. >> You're not off the hook for the criminal charges. >> need to know that. That's fine. I'm not worried, are you? I'm trying to get this out of the way. >> That's fine. >> For a moment, it looks like Nancy is ready to cooperate. [music] Then she tells officers she has a video that proves her side of the story, and suddenly she's a lot more confident than she should be. >> Well, that will get me. It will show you and it has voices. He deliberately sent her down here. My phone shows that. Did you look at it on my phone? >> Do you have the video on there? >> Yes, I do. >> Okay, play your video. Yes, yes, yes. >> Thank you. I offer you a seat, but >> I I appreciate I'm more comfortable standing. We spend enough time sitting. >> You guys got a hell of a job. I've been a policeman's wife for 60 some years. >> OH, [screaming] THAT'S WHY she's such a busybody and she thinks it's okay to surveil the freaking neighborhood and call the police when she thinks that there's been a wrongdoing. It's because she's been a policeman's wife for 60 some odd years. Oh, Nancy. Nancy. You're about to embarrass your husband. >> He's been with the deputy. He's been with the sheriff. >> Retired as a trooper, right? >> Yeah. >> State I Illinois State? >> Yeah. And when I called over to the station, if it was not you, and I apologize. >> Yeah, I haven't talked to you on the phone in a very, very long time. >> The liars or the layers sergeant something. He said, "You are mentally ill and a trouble maker." He cannot say that to me. >> Yeah, I would not have said that to you. So, I don't believe that was me. >> No, it was not. >> Yeah, every time I've dealt with you, Nancy, I I try to give you the utmost respect that that you deserve and require. >> And that and that is I'm a trooper's wife. I'm one of the family. This guy is a dirt bag. >> Well, we can't judge anybody compared to the others. >> Yeah, you're doing it tonight. I think if you hit there. Now, watch how he tells her to come down here. He wants her to be in the mix. I was trying to get the water out so it wouldn't freeze up. He sent her down here. >> What's so fast is I can't even hear anything. >> Well, can you slow it down? >> I don't know. It's Yeah, it's playing in super speed. >> Can you You to stop that? >> I'm not sure. I can try. >> He sent her down here deliberately. He'll break into my house tonight. >> I don't know. We're going to make sure and we lock it so that can't happen when we leave, okay? >> a convict in hard time. He'll break into my house. >> It It shows the same thing that theirs did, that she comes down, but >> No, he sent her down. He called her over and said, "Go back down there." And she's on meds, and she's going to do Where's her daddy? >> He was out there. >> Yeah, he wasn't when it happened. They went and got him. >> Well, he was across the street at his shop. >> you one, I guess, just small piece of advice, okay? >> [snorts] >> We have been getting several calls from you recently over your concern of all the kids, right? >> isn't that >> It's not your >> do it? >> No, it is You are the only person >> will sit here and watch him. >> calling. That's That's not going to happen. There are kids outside playing. They're allowed to do that. >> they're in the middle of the street after dark. >> need to call your your daughter, though. We need to get back on track and do what's You want You wanted to go to the hospital, so we need to get that done. >> Dispatcher Nancy, do you need help? >> Yes, I feel dizzy. Could you send me some help, please? >> Dizzy? >> Sir, this is the police department. We're with Nancy. Give me that. Sir, this is Sergeant Pettit with the police department. >> [laughter] >> This is the police department. We're with Nancy. Sit down. Give me the phone. HANG UP. >> [laughter] >> OH, NANCY. NANCY, I think you are a little crazy, honey. I know you think that they can't say that to you, and they shouldn't say that to you, but they're just calling it like they see it. You're You're a little looney tune. You're You're a little You're a little nutso. You're a few fries short of a happy meal there, Nancy. Maybe you should just sit down and cooperate. Maybe you really will end up not having to go to jail. Maybe you will end up in a hospital somewhere because you're nuts. >> This is Sergeant Keda with the police department. She is not having a medical emergency. >> Yes, I am. >> We're taking her to the hospital now. >> here. I fainted. >> Oh, Jesus. All right, we're going to get her an ambulance, sir. Just call for an ambulance. Nancy, you're being very dramatic. Give me YOUR PHONE. YOU'RE UNDER ARREST. KNOCK IT OFF. >> I'M UNDER ARREST, THOUGH. YOU'RE GOING TO ARREST ME ON TOP of an arrest? >> What's the address? >> Logan 78, will you send us an ambulance to Nancy's residence. She claims she just fainted, but she is perfectly fine. Requesting transport. Logan 78. >> She claims that she's fainted, but she is perfectly fine. Send a freaking ambulance. >> [laughter] >> Oh, Nancy, you're making this so embarrassing. >> Patient's alert, breathing, and conscious. Laying on the floor refusing to get up. >> No, I can get up and be passed out. Would you like that? Then I can >> No, you said you didn't fall. You sat yourself down. >> I did, though. >> Yeah, that's not how That's not how passing out works, Nancy. >> Yeah, well, I did, though. Okay, let's go. >> Where would you like to go? >> I guess to prison. What the hell? 62 >> 62 years Apparently, she's been here 62 years. Now, we're not going to move her. >> None. Yeah, that's how I feel. >> Logan dispatch 78, go ahead and continue with an ambulance, please. Denise your residence. >> In the end, Nancy was arrested and charged with aggravated battery. For a woman who spent 64 years married [music] to law enforcement, she somehow missed the part where spraying a child with a garden hose on camera [music] was going to be a problem. >> Nancy, Nancy, just because you've been married to a trooper for 64 years, it doesn't mean you get to do whatever you want. Oh, the entitlement. I can't stand that entitlement attitude. You were not the one in law enforcement, and even if you were the one in law enforcement, you can't be doing that [ __ ] Nancy. My God. She needed to just mind her own business. She just keeps escalating every little thing. She's got freaking cameras watching kids play and taking the law into her own hands. can't do that, Nancy.
