They said the car was stolen. >> No. Well, no. Unauthorized use. That but that possibly taken unauthorized use. Okay. And then they knew you had warrants. They knew who you were cuz officers know know who's over here. >> I'll be over here. My mom just moved over here. >> Well, they knew you, man. >> They know from like when I was 18. That's what I'm saying. I ain't seen them. >> Well, they knew you had warrants, man. Hopefully, you don't get any prison time. You know, you got some in the car and that's another issue. >> You know, it's a felony. So, I don't know. You may go to prison. You may not go to prison. But at some point, you you have to take accountability and say, "Okay, hey, listen. I'm making some decisions here, you know, and stuff. And uh, you know, I have I have a son is a is a son or daughter. Son is is important to me. I I need to make some better decisions. All right. Get get your feet in, Jordan. All right, man. Good luck to you. And you'll be on your way soon. Okay. >> Stress within the family continued to build as worries about the father's breathing condition led to heightened anxiety and emotional strain. Cannot breathe. >> No, no, no. Hey, hey, excuse us. Excuse us. Please, please, ma'am. I just need you to take a step down, please. >> You just step on the straight. I want you guys. >> No, he seriously has real bad asthma. You cannot breathe. I swear to God on my camera again cuz if he in a mess. >> He is chronic asthmatic. He seriously is. No joke. >> I understand. >> You said I couldn't give him a checked out by EMS already. Obviously, he's going to be mon the entire time. >> He has to go to jail. What other woman? >> I know he has to go to jail for them in jail. They give you your medication when you're in jail, don't they? >> Absolutely. >> Well, well then he can't have my inhaler to breathe until it's not his. >> Okay. So, if he in route to the jail, >> listen, we are doing everything we possibly can. Very well. Well, I appreciate you guys' if him in route to jail. >> The situation ultimately concluded in an unexpected way. The father was found not guilty of resisting arrest, but plead guilty to possessing fentinel and faced legal consequences. At the same time, [music] he filed a federal lawsuit alleging excessive force, which the city later settled for $15,000. No matter the perspective, in any conflict, children should never bear the consequences. Every decision adults make, even in moments of extreme stress, must always place a child's safety above all else. It is difficult to accept that in places where children rely entirely on adult care and guidance, inappropriate actions can still happen. And that fear of social consequences can keep many from speaking up. >> You can't sit there and be dropping a baby cuz they're crying or scooping the baby away with your foot. You can't do those things. On February 15th, 2024, authorities received a report involving a 56-year-old childare worker suspected of inappropriate professional behavior towards several children at a daycare facility. There were no loud reactions or obvious warning signs, but certain actions recorded on camera raised serious concerns. After reviewing the footage, officers responded and collected statements from staff. It's >> an employee thing is what you're saying? >> Yes. That I had to let go. >> All right. And when did this happen? What I witnessed was yesterday, but I let go of this this morning cuz I wasn't made aware until this morning. So, I reviewed it. >> Okay. And what was it? Was it just >> Absolutely not? No, it was um just in handling of infants like lifting like she lifted one with one arm and moved them like up here and moved them and like used her foot to like and she pop one. She's really kicking them down by any means. There's no marks on kids. There's no anything like that. It's just it's to me it's like like here's where appropriate and way appropriate is and like here's where inappropriate is. She's probably like right here like of hand of handling. So, but I have to report you know. >> So, let me ask you this. Is there any children to be interviewed? >> They're infants. So, now >> Okay. >> There's a staff member that you can interview. >> Um >> do you have the video like this on my phone? I have the little snippets from where from what I witnessed. >> I mean, I'll take a look at them. Oh, >> here. They're in here. All right. Um, >> I call it December. >> Okay. [laughter] >> So, I watched a video. You told December, right? She watched the video. From what I saw, it's looking more unprofessional than it is criminal. Would you agree with that or No, because you were sitting right there. >> I wouldn't, but hey. >> Well, no, I'm asking you. I mean, what >> I mean, I've been in this, like I said, I was a child golf field worker for eight years with directions in Lutheran, and now I work with Golf Co, one of the biggest agencies also. So, I work here part time, so I know what inappropriate is and what appropriate it is, >> right? And I'm not saying that >> and the camera ain't going to show like a a child being dropped down on the floor. Just going to show like you just put the child down. And I've watched this for a lot of years since I've been here. And I'm like I wanted to tell, but I she's the type of person she is. It was like I don't. >> So, so again, I'm not saying that it's inappropriate. I I don't agree that it's appropriate. I wouldn't want someone handling my kid like that. But again, >> not yet. No. But again, um, the borderline of, you know, criminality of it is what I'm getting at here. Okay. So, I'm not saying that it's inapprop appropriate, but but you're also saying that she the, >> you know, she the kid down. It's not exactly what I saw, >> but I was in the room, so I know what I like, like I said, the camera's not going to show the baby hard like that. And the baby rolled over and when she and then she forced the baby back up. You're not if you look, I can walk you through what was going on. And then when you sit there and you pick the baby up and you like this like this is not the only time this has happened before. It's just I was like it's time to speak up about it. I didn't want to speak up about it because everyone here is her friend. Everyone here gossips and >> so this So how long has this happened? >> This is our fourth report with her as >> the same lady. See and it's like >> not here. >> I don't speak on it. I didn't speak on it because she's friends with the director. She's friends with >> But how many times have you witnessed it is what I'm asking. Um, I would say probably about four to five times. >> Four to five times. And what span of time frame was that? And we told them weeks, months, what? >> Throughout the throughout the months and stuff and I've been like, I need to tell I want to report her, but I don't want to be jeopardized. Like right now, everybody's going to be like, oh, she's the one that told cuz they're here with her. I wanted it be anonymous, but it didn't end up like that because at the end of the day, I don't want to be coming to work and feeling uncomfortable because I know that she's friends. Everybody, everybody's gossiping about it right now. So now it's putting me in the middle and I'm like, see, I did what I was supposed to do as a mandated reporter, but now look at what's going on with me now. And then my daughter, we're getting harassed now. That's why I was trying to make a decision. Do I want to speak up or do I want to keep getting harassed? >> So the things that I saw yesterday on the camera, those the other three times that you witnessed it. Is similar similar actions the same? >> Um, unless it is or no, it's not. >> No. >> No, it's it's not. So is it were the other ones worse or not as bad? M I mean popping the baby. >> Popping the baby >> in the mouth. >> Like the baby. >> And when did that happen? [sighs] >> I think it was like last week. >> Two two three weeks ago. >> Two 3 weeks ago. >> A baby another baby and she popped her. >> And how old is this kid? >> They're all in the baby room. >> So it's they're all infants. And how hard did she hit her? >> I mean I don't know how much pressure but regardless you don't pop a baby in their mouth regardless of the pressure. >> Right. I understand. >> I mean, it doesn't matter if I went like this. >> I guess I guess my question is, was there visible injury as a result? >> No, no visible. Do >> y'all have video footage from then? Like, how long do y'all store it? >> I don't know how long they store it, but I know like this was a couple about two, three weeks ago. >> No, no, no, no. >> Real quick, what's your first name? >> Leav. >> Spell it. >> L E. Sorry. >> E. And that's >> and what what's your last name? >> Garcia. >> Date of birth. What's >> your address? >> 105. [laughter] Wait, I can't even remember. >> I know. >> No, it's just cuz now it's like I have to come to work with all this because it's like it is. And then my daughter works here and she's going to be having to go through all this. >> What's your phone number? Are you able to go get December for us? >> She's in the baby room. >> I know. We're going to have to swap out cuz I I want to see these videos you're talking about. I'm sure she's the one that has access to that, right? >> Yes. >> Yeah. So, can you go grab her, swap out, and then if we need you, we'll come back and get you. >> The employee had previously [music] been flagged at other facilities and advised against direct child care duties, though it remains unclear why she continued working at the current center. You said you had four from her house who came around her last year. She worked here. >> No. So they were all at a different facility. Licensing advised that she not care for children. So I don't know how she got here. Um the reports were they were all three physical injury. They were all it was two they were a little while ago. 200 I think it there were three years. I think it was 12 13 14 were the years. There was one incident per year and then it was advised. >> So the last ones are over almost over 10 years ago. >> Yeah. But it still establishes a pattern. >> So what has she been doing in between that time? >> I don't know with us. >> No, but what I'm saying is that she's still been working in the field or you don't know? >> As far as I'm aware, cuz I don't have that. [snorts] She's been working with the director. So she's been here for just under a year and it's we can find out from her the time lapse, but I believe they worked together previously. I think it was a kid in a rap. Um, but we can check with her just >> Well, she says she knows her for like almost 10 years >> and they worked together for a long time. >> It was like Community >> Oh, Community Pride. >> Yes. >> Yes. She worked at Community Pride. >> Those where the incidents were. >> Yes. And then she worked at I believe it was Kid Around with this director for a very long time. They've known each other forever as far as I'm aware. >> Do you know this director like first? >> I've never met any of them. I literally have never met I don't Yeah, I don't know. think about that. >> So, we're going to need to see that video. >> I need to see the current one, too. I'm Natalie. I'm a GCF. Sorry. >> Hi, I'm DJ from Nice to meet you. And not on these circumstances. >> No. >> Okay. I If she doesn't know the date, I have no idea how to find that specific like incident. I'd have to go through hours of footage. >> How about this? Let Let them take a look at these. Okay. And then if you want to poke your head back over there and see if she can narrow down a date and a time. >> Okay. She said like 2 to 3 weeks ago is what she told me and I'm like okay well that's [laughter] like 5 to 10 days worth of video which takes a while. So I'm not saying I won't do it or not. >> Her friendly manner and calm polite demeanor may have contributed to the trust placed in her by those around her. >> How long has she worked here? >> Um it would be a year in March. >> A year. So a little under year. >> A little under year. >> What's your relationship like with her? Like are y'all close? Are you >> We are close. We've known each other for like 8 years. We worked at another center together. >> Okay. Was it the community pride one? >> No. >> Okay. Did you know her when she worked there? No. >> I knew her when she worked at tutor time/kiden around. >> Did you know about her DCF history when she was there? >> No, nothing. Nothing came up. I mean, she came to Kidden Around SL Well, it was tutor time when she came. >> Okay. >> And nothing showed up in her history when she was hired as far as I know. I was in a classroom at that time, not administration, so I wouldn't, you know, but no, I've never known anything. I've only parent complaint that I had was about not feeling welcomed. like [clears throat] she wasn't like cheery happy in the morning sometimes. That's the only complaint I've ever had [laughter] >> that I've been since I've been in industry even I was an assistant director slash and then became director at getting around and I and then I didn't have any of those kind of you know >> you think it's out of character for her to be as rough as she was in the video. >> I do to be that rough. Yeah. I mean she's she's very one of those I don't want to say sarcastic but she's not like a bubbly person. She's not mean to the kid. She's not, you know, she interacts and laughs with them and stuff like that. It's not, you know, obviously when you put somebody in a room that was like all day long, like that's absurd. I mean, I knew her from the other job and that's why I hired her here cuz she had a good at the other job. She worked at the other job for like eight, seven years. Eight years at that one center. >> Mhm. >> With no >> Yeah. Okay. With those videos, is there a way to like share them, email them, text them? How >> I believe so. He wanted He was going to send >> Yeah. I'm going to send you a link for ours so it'll go into ours. So when you see that, you just open up the link and drop them. >> I never had to do Windows system. So it took me a minute to figure out how to even pull the clips out. >> So I got that. So I think there's a share button now if I do. If I click Yeah, there is. So I should be able to share. >> Yeah. >> So I should be able to email them. >> Email will be perfect. >> Okay. So I just need to know where I'm emailing >> with the kiddo that the one kid that you said is here. Is there any way to bring her in here? I know she obviously is non-verbal, but I just have to make sure she doesn't have any marks or >> Yep. Are you okay? >> The reporting individual had noticed the behavior multiple times but hesitated to speak up due to concerns about professional relationships. This time she chose to come forward to prioritize the children's wellbeing >> with this just going back super quick. This pacifier incident, is that pacifier one that the child uses like on a daily basis? Have you ever seen those marks on the child before? do like any >> well the b the the the baby do mark like she has a skin at a a mark easy by touching her but she sucks that pacify to this day and now she she doesn't have >> she's never had anything besides that one >> but her parents says she has um eczema so that probably could have been eczema or something yeah >> okay cool you've never said anything to her about her behavior you made any like I know you've never confronted I've never made any like side comments like, "Man, I was rough." Or >> I mean, I was like, "Girl, what the heck?" And I'll be like, "What?" Look at her and I'll be like shake my head. She just keep going because she pro because I the thing is I stay cool to keep no problem. I was like, "Let me just play this role. That way she don't never >> So, she doesn't look like if I did something like that, that would be so out of character for me that I'd be like, "Oh my god, did anyone just see that type of thing?" But if you're used to dropping a kid really roughly or pulling a kid by the arm, you're not really going to pay attention to anyone around you cuz you think it's normal and natural. So, do you get the feeling that it's just her natural demeanor and behavior to be rough? >> The truth. Yes. I I think that just might be who she is cuz she's bullied a coworker before. So, I think that might just be who she is. >> When [snorts] you say she bullied a coworker like physically or >> No, just yell at her or disrespect her in front of other cooworkers. And this is something that the director's never seen before. >> I don't know. I don't know if they see it or not. I don't know. >> Does she Does she work all day? The director? >> No, they switch out. They switch out. Sometimes one work afternoon, sometimes one work in the evenings, sometimes one is off and the other covers for the other one. But with December with the dieting situation, I think she was out for two weeks this when with the flu. So yeah, but like I say, it's kind of it's a tricky situation cuz you don't want to have people at work bothering you and cuz you did what you did, >> right? >> You know, but you want to protect it. Protect. I'm not saying she's going around a child like them and pulling their hair. Not that you can't sit there and be dropping a baby cuz they're crying, [laughter] scooting a baby away with your foot. You can't do those things. >> Yeah. And I don't think any of those parents would be happy if they saw that video. >> And that's what made me was like, I can't I can't I I can't do this no more. I got to speak up. But now I'm gonna have to probably leave the job because I don't want to be getting harassed every day. >> Cuz she doesn't work here anymore. >> Yeah. But everyone hangs with her off the clock that works here besides my daughter. They all hang together. >> They all hang together. They all text each other. So >> So it's a little concerning if they all think that the behavior is okay. I don't know if they do, but I do know they don't the only person they don't hang with is me and my daughter. If we don't text, we don't hang with each other. So, and now it's making it where I'm asking my daughter, "Are you going to be okay? Do you feel like they're going to harass you if I because of what's going on with me?" So, she was like, "I don't know." >> That's another reason why I was like, "All right." Cuz I know the demand of what goes on. >> I'm holding a disturbance. >> I got nothing else. I'm all set. >> I just need to grab I don't know if it's or the director. Um, I need some info for the other kiddos. [laughter] >> After sufficient information was gathered, officers spoke with the employee. She appeared self assured and attempted to explain her actions by referencing her many years of experience in childcare. You ready to say something? >> Hello. Okay. Close the door. Meet you around here. >> Hi, Mr. So, my name is Detective Rodriguez. I'm with the Colorado Police Department and I work for the crimes against children and families unit. So I wanted to talk to you about the uh >> the um incident that took place up at the week here when up on McMullen booth. Is it week or week? >> It used to be week care. >> Yeah. The one in McMullen. >> Yes sir. Right. >> You know DCF obviously get called out there based on some of the contact you having with the children. >> Yes sir. Do you have anything that you want to talk about with that case or what was your understanding of what was going on? >> I went to work that Thursday. The director said to me, >> Mhm. >> I'm going have to send you home for the day. >> Okay. >> I was like, "What's going on?" She didn't really tell me too much except for she would call me, but she didn't call me. She text me. >> Okay. >> And I called her back to find out what was, you know, what was the outcome. I said, "Somebody coming out to talk to me or what?" I said cuz I haven't heard anything and it had been like I called back like every other day to see if somebody was coming to talk to me. What? Didn't hear anything. >> They never told you why they dismissed you from that position. [music] >> No, she just said I'm going to have to let you go. I said okay. Is there any specific reason that I need to know? You know what I mean? Cuz I was like, >> is a problem something that I did? What's going on? Tell me. But she never would tell me. So, is this where you used to work prior to there? >> Long >> long time ago. So, what basically what had come to our to to the attention was some of the way that you interacted with the children up there, the the small infant. We had some video of it and it was kind of concerning um in in the way that you either moved them around or specifically, you know, picking children up by one arm from the floor and from the crib. How long have you been doing this job? >> Which one? just working with young children in general. >> Let's see. >> 98. So, I want to say it's been 25 years. >> You've been doing this for 25 years. >> 25 years. It'll be 26 come June. >> Okay. And have you ever had like any specialized training working with kids or >> they do specific they have you take 40 clock hours and different trainings as far as >> what's the word I'm looking for? They have you do the the clock hours and specific training as far as each year. >> Okay. Did they go over like you know proper handling of of an infant or >> the assistant director from We Care? Miss Kim, she called me and say D. And I said, "Well, thank you." D. I said, "But I'm not out here to hurt nobody." I said, "Cuz I take care of I have raised my nephews and niece and the great ones that I have had." >> Right. So, this is probably going to upset you a little bit, but on the video that we had gotten from that one day in particular, um there's a bunch of instances where like you're kind of pushing a kid. At one point, a little boy was trying to crawl by and you stepped on his hand, so he wouldn't crawl by you and then kind of on your foot. Um and and the most disturbing ones are where you're pulling the kids up from like from the floor to go to nap by one arm and then taking them from the crib with one arm. And that's just not a right way to handle, you know, an infant. Definitely not the right way to handle an infant that's not yours that you're putting charge of, you know, the care of someone else's child during the day like that. So they obviously called DCF, DCF called us >> and when we reviewed the video, we have to take whatever we believe is the right course of action with the state attorney and the state attorney definitely agrees that from what they saw in those videos, um it's surmountable to the charge of child. >> See, I never had a record. >> No, we understand that. And there's definitely some instances and we've seen like with your connection to other daycarees where there's been some children that had some injuries and I'm not blaming you for those but it seems that you might have been around at the time that another child had been hurt. One was a broken leg. >> Yeah. And then come to find out the grandparents said cuz it was me and another attackman. She told us that the leg wasn't broken. The doctor said we was like know what to say. Like that's how we look. Like what? What? What? >> Do you live alone? >> Yes. >> Yeah. We're going to have to take you into custody for those child charges. We can walk out if you'd like without putting you in handcuffs in here. >> Um but we have to do take you to the we come to our station. There's some paperwork that we do. We can review the case with you there a little more and see if you want to say anything else about it. But ultimately what'll happen is you'll have to book into the jail and then there'll probably be uh an advisory and maybe a bond that'll be set. Can I make a phone call? >> Sure. Absolutely. >> Cuz >> do you have any medical issues like outstanding medical concerns? Anything you take medication for a daily? >> Blood pressure. >> Do you take it daily? >> No, I take it at night time. >> Okay. >> Blood pressure, centroidid, and centroidid. Blood pressure, cholesterol. >> Okay. >> And my eye drops everyone. >> Okay. You can I just wanted to make sure you weren't that medical. >> Despite her explanations, [music] she still faced unavoidable legal consequences. >> You text are you texting or calling? >> I'm texting cuz my sister can't take phone calls >> at her job. You said the jail. >> Yeah, you can call her from there as well. As long as >> she don't answer her phone at work. >> Okay. I mean, you'll be there for a couple, you know, for a minute or two. So, she'll definitely have a chance to, you know, the car's not >> cuz my car is right here. >> Will they let you down? I'm sure you can leave that here for now, right? >> I'll see it. All right. >> Before you get transported, we can get your sister's name and stuff to kind of help. >> I'll buy. Okay. >> No problem. >> Yep. >> Is sister local? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Yeah. We're not going to be going into the car though. >> All right. I was just letting you know. >> Okay. >> Young office is here. We're going to go in that. >> I gave you my keys, right? >> Yeah. We're going to check you real quick. >> I just got my cell phone. >> Okay. Okay. I'll hold on to that for now. >> Okay. >> Here. It'll go with you in your property. >> I'm sorry. do this. >> We're just going to lock them so they don't tighten up on you. >> A little bit too tight. Look like I never been. That's why I was like, >> keep it rolling. The woman faced [music] nine felony child charges involving multiple children at Kids City, USA, and was taken into custody at the Penllis County Jail. Her bond was set at $45,000 with $5,000 for each charge. Additional conditions included no contact with anyone under 18 except for her own child, if applicable. A true educational environment must be a place where children feel safe, [music] supported, and protected. This case is a reminder of the shared responsibility we all have in safeguarding children. In many supermarket incidents, the most concerning issue is not the value of the items involved, but when innocent children become part of the poor decisions made by adults. >> They actually had stolen merchandise on they used her to steal merch. >> They're wearing. >> On March 17th, 2024, officers were dispatched to a Target store after receiving a report that a couple had involved their young child in concealing store items. When authorities made contact, both adults lacked identification and appeared uneasy when informed this was the second [music] time they had returned to the same store under similar circumstances. >> All right. You guys have ID on you? >> I don't. >> You don't have ID >> on my pitch phone? Yeah. >> Okay. Let me see it. You do know why we stopped you. >> Okay. You do know that you were here as well yesterday and you did the same thing yesterday. I saw you guys leaving yesterday. So, same thing yesterday, same thing today. You come back to the same stores two days in a row to shoplift. Shame. They got their kids involved, too. >> Yep. Can you get your daughter out of a shopping cart, sir? >> Do you have any weapons on you? >> Does he have ID? >> I have his. >> You have anything on you? No weapons? No merchandise? Nothing on you? Cuz I'm going to search you to make sure. Huh? >> No, I have my iPods. >> It's not She's asking. She's asking if you have merchandise. You have merchandise. Now's the time to give it up. >> Yes, I have. >> Okay. What else do you have? >> Do you have anything on you? >> Can you hide anything on the case? >> No. >> That jacket is that blue jacket? Yep. >> Take the blue jacket off the daughter. >> You're getting them involved in shoplifting. >> Not really. You're putting stolen merchandise on your daughter. How is that? Not really. You bring them to shoplifting the second day in a row. You come to the same store. You think they're not going to notice you? >> How old are your kids? >> I'm five and nine. >> You went to have to take your kids? No. Cuz that's what's going to happen. >> No. You have somebody to pick up the kids? >> No. >> Okay. Well, guess what? They're getting cold. >> What about in the purse? There's nothing in the daughter's purse. >> No. >> Mind if we check? Yeah. Let me see. Let me see. >> You said you have nobody to pick up the kids, right? >> Can I have someone pick up my kids? >> You just said you have nobody here. >> Well, this is your tags on everything else. >> What else on these kids belongs to the store? >> I'm not going to ask you again. >> Does that sweater belong to that? No, she >> brought them in here. >> Well, the purse belongs to them >> right now. I thought you just said you didn't have anybody to pick up the kids. >> Well, I do. Not here. She's probably at home. >> Clearly, there's nobody with you here. So, the question is the final time. You have something to pick up the kids? >> Yes. >> You're going to jail. >> We got to get them on the phone and see if they can get here in the next 30 minutes. >> If not, >> I'll let you go through and figure out what you saw and what they packaged. >> Be here in 30 minutes to get the kids and she can have them. Okay. >> 14. >> Mistake. This is a mistake. Good day in a row. >> What's her first name? >> Did you be here in 30 minutes? I'm just making sure she she said she's coming back. Make sure >> that's the that's the address and everything that's on driver. They actually had stolen merchandise on. They used her to steal merchandise. >> They're wearing it. >> What? Sister. >> Yeah. >> Okay. And you give her permission to take the two girls. >> Just want to make sure that we got that noted. >> 450. >> The worst part is you got them involved. >> This is yesterday. Today is almost 7. And from my understanding, after he left, she took all his clothes out here and set it on fire. >> And then [snorts] the Miranda rightites were read in the car while the mother stubbornly repeated her usual line. I didn't do nothing, nothing wrong. She lit a fire near the kids, ignoring the risk of it spreading, causing burns, smoke inhalation, or lasting. You have the right to have an attorney present during any and all questioning. And if you can't afford an attorney, the state will provide you one. You understand? >> Hello. Why do I not have a bond? >> Because I believe you present a risk of to your children and YOUR HOUSE. >> MIL, ALL MY STUFF IS FINE. >> You just set fire to clothes right next to your house and your kids were inside of it. >> He came over here and threw that outside and put >> Oh, that's that's not what Erica said. Cheyenne, >> I didn't do nothing. So, I don't have no bond. Are you serious? >> I'm serious. Why? >> Because you're a danger to the public. >> No, I'm not. I have no danger to the public at all. I don't have nothing on my record. Look at my record. ALL I HAVE IS DUI. >> WELL, it seems like alcohol might be a problem with you, Cheyenne. >> Can you call O'Brien? BECAUSE I'M THE ONE THAT GOT MY hands put on me. HELLO. HELLO. >> CALL O'BRIEN. Call O'Brien. Call O'Brien. Call O'Brien. You're not even staying in the lane. Oh, how about Cameron? He has a a warrant in Garfield Heights, Cleveland. But y'all ain't searched that, huh? After he my But I'm the one going to jail after he set his clothes on fire in front of my house and I'm the one that went outside and seen it. And that's why I recorded it because he put it on fire. But you ain't see that, huh? >> No, I wasn't born yesterday, Shannon. >> What do you mean you weren't born yesterday? He put his hands on me. Bro, I'm so tired of it. That's why my son ran because he's scared of him. But y'all ain't see that though. You're apparently Trump became president and now you're on the black people's side. Weird people. Please call him because I haven't been in trouble in 10 years. I haven't done nothing. I take care of my kids. I just had a baby seven seven months ago. Are you kidding me? This is so wrong, bro. You guys are wrong as can you listen to me? >> So, Cheyenne, your contention is that he came over and set his own stuff on fire. >> He did. >> Listen to yourself. >> He literally put his hands on me and said, "I'm going to call the police on you." I said, "No, I'm calling the police on you first." It's always the people that don't drink because I drink. He thinks that I'm stupid. I'm not stupid. I'm not in my right state of mind. I can still take care of my kids. I'm not like that. I hate people. Never did to him. I take care of him. He has no money. He took all my money. He took everything. This is sad, bro. All them clothes I bought for him and I put him outside for a whole hour and then all of a sudden I went outside and they were on fire. We weren't even gone for an hour. >> You were gone for 45 minutes. I have it on my phone. I have everything on my phone. >> Make sure you take it to court. >> I'm going to take it to court. This is bull because I didn't do nothing. I kicked him out of my house. He's the one that came back. He's the only one that went down the street to his aunt's house. >> No, it's not. He's not on my lease. >> It doesn't matter if he's on the lease. You've let him live there for 6 months. He can go back whenever he wants. >> No, he can't. He was there for 6 months. 30 days on, 30 days off. 30 days on, 30 days off. That's not on my metro. 30 days on, 30 days off. >> Metro is not the law. >> What do you mean? He worked on Kelly's Island. He didn't even live with me for his 30 days. He has no mail coming to my house. >> Doesn't matter. When you let him move in and bring his stuff in, he lives there. >> No, it's not. No, it's not. >> I would suggest you educate yourself on the law. >> No, it's not. You have to have mail there for me to kick him out. >> Not getting sympathy from police, she cried, claimed unfair treatment, and accused her boyfriend's family of setting her up. Yes. Unfair is lighting the fire yourself, making your child flee in fear, then calling yourself a devoted mom. >> These are too tight. Hello. Can you please un like cuff these a little bit? >> No, because you resisted arrest. So, we're not going to take the handcuffs off you. >> I didn't resist arrest. What did O'Brien say? >> He said, "Hold you without bond till Monday morning." >> Why? >> Because you are actor to the public. >> No, I'm not. I didn't do nothing. This is bull. I didn't do nothing. I [laughter] haven't been in trouble in like five years. Are you serious? And never again. Oh my god. Never again. Never again. Cam better stay the away from me. I SWEAR TO GOD. A present all the charges on him. I'm pissed. I am pissed. He better get out of my house. All his everything. I wouldn't give a he said that. Bro, he better get out of my house thinking that he's gonna take my car. If he drives my car, can you put this in your phone? If you A826 comes up on your thing, he's driving my car. He don't got no license, no insurance, no nothing. I'm pissed, bro. Never again. He thought he was going to take my car. Are you serious, bro? I'm about to cut the up. Not playing. What is this? It's a lighter that you look. You gave me a lighter in the back seat. You can have it. I threw it >> here. It's between It's between my legs. Get it. It's literally between my legs. >> Is it on the floor? >> No, it's in I'm a literally >> I'm not reaching down there. >> Well, I didn't do nothing. I didn't even know I had it. It was on the side of me. >> Okay. So, listen. Listen to me. All right. >> I'm not even being stupid. I literally just want you all to let me go home, bro. I didn't do nothing. I did not do that stupid. Nor did I bring that lighter in here. It was in my pocket. I'm not acting stupid. I just want to go home to my newborn kid. >> You should have thought about that long ago. >> I didn't do that. >> You had the chance just to go to sleep. >> You guys are crazy. I'm telling you, the past three nights I've been getting my whoop. >> Did you call the police? >> I can't call the police cuz they don't never take my side. Every time it always falls back on me. And then tonight, just because he doesn't drink, I drink. Hello. And then his aunt lives around the corner from me. They've been sabotaging me and then all of a sudden becomes on fire and then you guys are back outside. Hello. I have to pee. Can you let me the out? Yeah. Well, my arms I can't move them. You don't manhandle me. >> I'm not. Cheyenne was arrested on charges of aggravated arson, two counts of children, and resisting arrest. Under Ohio's criminal code, she could face up to 17 years in prison, and $41,000 in fines. Though bail usually ranges from $60,000 to over $100,000. Police ordered her held without any bond until Monday. The mom who left her child home alone to make food deliveries, then covered it all up with lies stacked higher than a Door Dash order. >> Where is the grandmother's address? I have no idea that's between him and the grandmother. >> On March 12th, 2024 in Ohio, a heated argument broke out right on the roadside. When police approached, they found a woman with an arm trembling as she accused her husband of attacking her while she was delivering Door Dash. Oh, turns out their husband and wife about to divorce and they have kids together, but the kids weren't there. Where are they? And are they safe? >> Are you okay? >> Yeah, he tried to snatch the keys from me and the key cut my finger. Have my hand. >> Let me see. You okay? >> Yeah. I can get you a band-aid. >> That's fine. >> Come see. >> Who is he to you? >> He is my ex-husband now. Well, he's my husband, but I'm going to be filing for a divorce. Literally, the cop literally saw him about to chase me and grab after me. He does that. >> Relax. Relax. Just bring it down. You're not in danger now. I know you just went through something. We need specific questions answered in a specific order here. So, let's focus on that. We understand that came from the keys. >> Yes. So you had the key in your hand and he tried to rip it as a result of that much. Yeah. The whole key thing broke. >> Where do you guys live? >> Door hand place. We were door dashing >> together and got into a little spat. The spat led him to disrespecting me. I told him that I didn't want to do this anymore. I can't take you calling me. We're driving. You're calling me a yelling in my ear. I can't do that while driving. That's I don't doing that. I stopped right here and told him, "Hey, either you find your way home or you got to get out." He kept yelling at me in the car. He snatched the keys from me, which caused me to I got out of the car. That's when I saw the cop. The cop came and pulled around because he saw my husband about to run and grab at me. That's when he came cuz the cop literally saw my husband about to do that. He does it all the time. He literally puts his hands on me all the time. There's been incidents where people in public have seen it and he disrespects me. I can't keep doing this. Have you ever filed charges against him? >> No. >> Okay. >> I try not to. I just I don't. We have a kid together. I don't want to do that, but it's >> Yeah. Well, sometimes you got to because it's not up to you. It's about what he does. >> I keep asking you to stop putting your hands on me. It doesn't need to lead to you putting your hands on me. Just because we're having a an altercation of of talking and argument shouldn't lead to you putting your hands on me. >> Is this car registered to you? >> Yes. This is in my name. >> And you don't have your baby with you, right? >> No. No, ma'am. And then where are the keys inside? >> No, I took the keys out of the ignition and I had them in my hand and he >> when I came up to you originally, I said, "Is it locked and the keys are inside?" You said, "Oh, no, no, no. My bad." >> You were just It's okay. >> I was I'm trying to I don't want him to get in trouble, but at the same time, this has to stop. >> Well, and sometimes it takes just that. They need to know you're serious. You're not putting up with it. You're not going to do it. Yeah, cuz the inside of my mouth. I can't keep going through this, man. I can't. Not with babies. We This is not even our one child. We have two more. And you sit there and say you want to have a family and do all this, but you're doing this. How is this wanting to be a family? I literally asked him, "Hey, would you want your children to date a man like you?" He said, "No. Why would I want to still be here?" >> Right. And you don't have to. Just as expected, the kids were home alone taking care of each other. >> So, their child, their baby, they went to door dash. The child at home sleeping >> and she just said they have a baby and they were door dashing. >> Yeah, they decided to door dash during the nap. So, the baby's at home alone >> on dorm place. So, we need a west crew to go over there. We'll have her have a seat back here. >> Yeah, the door. >> Can't even make it up. >> No. No. Cuz it happens too much. I know it's hard with kids and that that often plays a a big role in people's decision. >> Have a seat and fill out a statement here. >> Thank you. We >> go back to our party. >> I'm at the bus crew that like they're their baby kicking alone in the house. >> Mhm. Well, they have two other kids. So, where are they? You know, are they at school? Where are they, too? Cuz this one there's one that's one. So, that's probably that one. Oh god, it burns. >> There we go. Just sit all the way in there for me and fill that out so we don't have to stand out on the side of the road here. Watch your toes. There we go. >> When it comes to children, things get serious [music] fast. And this time, police had no choice but to step in and protect them. >> Is there a way that they can get into the house to check on the one bus? Is that an apartment complex? >> Sorry, I I uh underestimated how far that car was from yours to be able to see that little plate. >> I wrote it down when I was up there. >> Yeah, that's I walked up there to get it, too. Do you want me to call a tow? >> Yeah, cuz they're going to probably >> They're going to go. >> They're both going to end up. >> Yeah. Unbelievable. But she's filling out a witness a domestic violence statement at least first. >> Um the family member something. I want her to fill out the DV statement first. >> The two kids are in Maryland. They don't even The other two kids, they are in Maryland. They don't live in just >> Okay. So, he's going to be the option then. >> Yeah. >> All right. It's never just one thing. No. >> And it today has just been one giant cluster all fitting. >> That's kind of what it sounded like. >> It sound like yesterday was too. >> Oh my god. Yeah. Yeah, yesterday wasn't real good. But this morning, Keteran got me real I'm still pissed. Every time they're involved in anything, it's just a giant thing in my >> All right. >> So, we're going to have to call Children's Services. Yeah. >> And have them probably meet over there. >> Yeah. >> Um >> Yeah. Then they'll do they'll do a safety plan with these two to place them with somebody else. >> Yeah. Or they're going to have to take >> We were going to try to get some food. That's what we're pulling up. I'm not blaming you, homie. It's It's them. We're just pulling up to get some food and then we're supposed to be at the garage at at 1 for an oil change. >> Yeah, I've >> Somebody's calling you. West crew's calling you. >> We're going to actually have to have them That'll probably take the child to children. We should be checked out. >> Well, if they've got the keys, we can just go over there. >> See if we can if we have another talk to us. We do have a key. Uh we just have people on both of our keys and then we get them together. >> Yeah, we can stay and do the tow if somebody else can transport her over there and then you guys can just key in with their keys and then deal with I'm not that's super convenient for me and I'm not trying to weasel out of it. But that would be the least intrusive admin requirement, you know. Or we could drive drive her over there. >> We should take We should probably take her. >> Yeah, >> cuz he's going to go for DV. >> Yeah. Well, then you want to stay with him and do the DV and then we'll drive her over to Dorm and then Wes can deal with that portion. >> I'm fine with that. >> Yeah. >> Uh or have another crew just take him over and we can just if I if we have another crew, we could just put her and the other crew and we can just go deal with everything over there and you guys can just sit with the car >> and we can do the toe. That's >> And then you can make your 1:00. >> Yeah, that'll work. >> Strangely, the husband is still nowhere to be found as if he's hiding on purpose. But no worries. His earlier aggression didn't escape the police's attention. >> She said that they were door dashing and he was getting he was arguing and he start getting disrespectful and he's trying to grab the keys and she's like don't grab the keys when I'm driving. I end up of ush and then he he got the keys or she had the keys. She's got a little cut on the palm of her hand from where he ripped the keys out of her hand and the key cut her a little bit there and she got out of the car. I wasn't clear on if he got out of the car with the keys first and she got out to try to get the keys back or if he grabbed the keys and she jumped out of the car and then he came after her. But she said that's when you pulled up when he was going after her to her up against the wall. He does that a lot. >> And that did he say he So I saw him running after her and got and as I was turning I lost sight of him as he was getting to her and pushing her up against the wall. Is she saying that he her up against the wall? Do I need to clarify? Yeah, we probably need to clarify that because she cuz she was like Yeah, it's an incidental injury. It's not like a stabbing or an actual an intentional cutting. She sustained an injury because they were fighting over the keys. I don't think they'll take that portion, but him shoving or pinning her up against the wall should be the the part. I'm going to go ahead and call records real quick. This situation forced police to stretch themselves between two fronts. Protecting the kids and handling domestic. But instead of cooperation, they were met with a whirlwind of lies from the mother Kristen from the kids are with their grandma. So I don't know the address. And even I don't have a phone. >> I got you. Your child alone at home while you guys went door dashed. >> Who said >> he said? >> Uh no. >> Okay. So where is your child? >> With his grandmother. Where is it? >> We have to go get her from his grandmother. That's where we were heading to. She said we need to go pick up the baby. >> Where is the grandmother's address? >> I have no idea. That's between him and the grandmother. >> Why would he say that you guys left the child alone? >> I don't know why he would say that. I guess for y'all to let us go or so we can leave, but no. >> Okay. >> No. Um, >> hang on. We're not We got to investigate it now. At least at this point, >> I don't have a phone. I don't have nothing on to do. I'm in the car. >> Yeah. Hang on. She says that the baby is with his grandmother and not alone at the house. >> His grandmother at the house. >> What? >> I can't hear. >> Okay. Is there somebody else at the house? Wait, you Okay. That is not what you said earlier. Okay. You need to tell me when you guys left, where was the baby in the bed? Was there anybody else in the house? Remember the question of is there anybody else at the house besides the baby? You said no. We can play back the video. Okay. So, grandma is sure at the house. >> Well, she says that that the baby's at his grandma's house and she doesn't know where that is. >> Okay. >> She said she didn't have her phone. >> Do you have your phone on you? >> No, >> I don't have nothing on you. No. >> Okay. Put that stuff. The only thing I have is this. >> Wait, you don't have to throw it everywhere. Why did you do that? >> Because I told you I don't have my phone on me and you told me to take everything out of my pocket. I have nothing else in my pocket and nothing. >> Have I been disrespectful to you? >> No, I'm trying to figure out why I'm sitting back here >> and I'm trying to figure everything out. >> If I'm not being arrested, can I please leave? I'm claustrophobic. >> And right now, apparently, because he made that statement, you guys are being detained so we can figure out if the baby is at home or the baby is at grandma's. Okay. That's what this is about. That's a pretty serious thing. >> Yeah, I know. >> So, that's why we're trying to get to the bottom of it quickly. >> If you have your phone and you can get me a number. >> I don't. >> Huh? >> I don't have my phone. >> Yep. [snorts] The baby is alone. That's all police [music] discovered. As for her statement, every word was a lie. >> I couldn't hear what he was saying at all. >> No. Baby that was there. They got into the house with open window. Baby was there all alone. >> Okay. So, she's full of >> Yes. And story changing. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They're both made for each other. It sounds like >> I don't know if she does or not. >> They got in the house. Nobody was there but the baby. >> Baby was alone in the in the bed. >> Okay. >> Um >> I think I don't know. >> So, he needs to go just be booked. She probably needs to go back to the house to talk to children's services so we can set up a safety plan. Um, he says that the only person they really have is grandma or his aunt, but he doesn't have phone numbers for any of them. She has those numbers. >> Yeah. And she's telling me, of course, she doesn't know these people. It's new family to him because he was a foster kid. And she's claiming she doesn't have her phone. I don't know if it's in the car. I think she may have it. >> She has the keys, though. We need to get the keys from her for the car cuz we're coming in the car, too. >> She She has a lots of mental health. Just Just know I think she has a possibility of going off any Yep. second cuz I I said, "Do you have your phone?" And she pulled it like papers out of her pocket and like threw them and was getting nasty. And I said, "You know, why are you doing this? >> I'll go on this side and ask her cuz I think she has if she has an opportunity, she'll try to get out." >> Kristen was good at lying, but couldn't face what she'd done. At the peak, when police detained her, she instantly flipped, screamed, panicked, yelled, [music] "I'm psychotic," and refused to cooperate. Kristen. Kristen, let me have your car keys. >> No, ma'am. >> Your [snorts] car is going to get towed. Kristen, I need your keys. >> I understand that. No, ma'am. Not without a U. I need you to bring me all the necessary paperworks for you to be able to access my vehicle. I do know my rights. >> Put your money back. >> Uh-uh. Excuse me. For what? Can I ask you what I'm Wait, wait, wait. I have anxiety. I have mental health. I have mental health. Please. cooperate. Please try our hand behind your back. Hand behind your back and cooperate. >> Please do not try >> I'm not I'm not I'm just >> Put your legs back. >> I'm already claustrophobic. >> I will roll down your windows, but you're not going to get your legs up here and start >> I'm not I'm not I'm just trying to be comfortable. That is it. I have mental health. I'm just trying to be comfortable myself. >> Stop resisting. >> I am not. That is all I'm trying to do. Thank you. That's all I'm trying to do is just put my legs on the seat. You're about to get hobbled. Is that going to happen? >> You're overreacting. Thank you. >> Nobody is Why are you yelling at me? All I'm trying to tell Listen to what they're telling you. >> All I'm trying to tell you is literally I have mental health issues. That's all I was saying. >> She had her keys in her hands. >> Yeah. The problem is all this car house. I mean, they got in so the child. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Sit up. Sit up. Sorry. >> And she [snorts] even thrashed around like crazy, kicked the car door, screamed, "Leave me alone," and rolled uncontrollably. The point is, all of this happened after police announced [music] her arrest, and towed her car, not out of concern for her KIDS ALONE. "PLEASE, PLEASE. I HAVE [screaming] MENTAL HEALTH. PLEASE, PLEASE. OH MY GOD. PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE. LEAVE ME ALONE. LEAVE ME ALONE. LEAVE ME ALONE. LEAVE me alone. Oh my god. LEAVE ME ALONE. LEAVE ME ALONE. LEAVE ME [screaming] ALONE. LEAVE ME ALONE. I just need you to stop talking to me, please. That's it. I just need you to leave me alone with my mental health. I just need you to leave me alone. The only person I can really help is my husband. Just leave me alone. You're making it worse than it needs to be. If you don't believe me, call Eastway. DJ would tell you all of my mental health issues. Just leave me alone. Please just leave me alone. Just leave me alone. Baby, >> but I need you to keep yourself calm. >> I just want my baby that I just >> I need you to try to keep [laughter] yourself so we can do that. We don't have to go. >> I can't. No. Please don't GET MY CAR TOWED. I PAID ON TIME. I HAVE ALL the things paid off. What? No. No. Everything is going. [crying] Everything is going bad. EVERYTHING. >> Hold on. Hold on. Just wait. She ain't getting out. >> SHE'S GOING TO BUST. >> EVERYTHING IS GOING. EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING. [screaming] EVERYTHING. STOP. >> Stop it. >> Please go. I can't breathe. I have [ __ ] >> You're working yourself up. >> I told you to calm down. >> Please get off of me. Please get off my side. Please help. >> You need to chill out. >> Baby, I can't breathe. >> You can breathe well enough to scream. >> You going to get back in the car and not bang your head? >> Why are you hurting me? Because you're doing this and you're trying to grab me. So, you just agree that you're hurting me because I'm not listening to you. >> It doesn't work. >> My hand. >> My hand. Okay. >> You got to take my finger, please. Check my finger. My thumb. Ow. My thumb. My thumb. My thumb. You're fine. My thumb. >> They're both still there because you're flailing around against the cuffs. >> No. was how you had my arm. My thumb went in the the the thing. My thumb went in the car. It popped. >> Here's what you're going to do. We're going to sit you back up and you're going to go back in the car. Listen. And you're going to stop >> the grounding and flailing. Right. >> I'm going to get the hobble and you're not going to be able to walk at all. Do you understand? >> Scoot back. Backwards. Sit up. Sit up. Come up. >> We are trying to help you and you're not listening. >> I'm trying to get >> I'm trying. >> Stand up. Get your feet under you. We'll we'll get it afterwards. Don't worry about your shoe right now. >> Pull your leg in. >> Yep. >> There you go. >> Push. Got to get your legs. >> Stand. Good job. >> Get your feet in there. >> Oh my god. >> Nope. I can't. Out. Ouch. Ouch. Ouch. Ow. [laughter] Ow. Ow. Ow. >> It's fine. It's >> But it's not broken. >> Oh, you're you're tightening this up. >> I'm sorry. >> Calm down. Please come down. >> Just calm down. >> Wait. This ain't going to work. Do what? >> She won't still. I can't put the seat belt on. >> I was going to have to end up going to jail on the >> That's it. >> The dad wasn't any better. Stammering. I didn't her. It was a misunderstanding, but it was too late. The evidence was clear. >> No holds or nothing, man. >> All right. I was waiting. I >> Yeah, sorry. I was getting ready to come home, talk to you, and she started out. Every every goddamn thing that can go wrong just keeps going wrong because people don't know how to behave. seat belt on you. >> I'm sorry about her if she has multiple personalities. >> Yeah, she's got a lot of problems, man. >> Wait a second here. It's all bound up. Saying I tried her out, was it? >> Yeah, that'll be up for your public defender, man. >> The mother was arrested on charges of obstruction and childment. Under Ohio law, she could face up to 2 years in prison, a $6,000 fine, and bail set as high as $10,000.
