Okay, [ __ ] you. Give me my shield. Let me go. Give me my shield. Just let me go. >> In today's body cam, we have a woman who was allegedly caught shoplifting at Walmart. Her child is sitting right there, and for some reason she thought that the best way to keep a bad decision from getting worse was to resist arrest, scream at police, and non-stop arguing that just simply giving back the merchandise should just, you know, erase the entire situation. And now, I'm not going to make light of anybody financially struggling or trying to escape an abusive situation, because those are very real hardships. But when the officers tell you that you could have gone home with just a citation, and instead you decide to unlock four additional charges in addition to traumatizing your child, we're no longer discussing survival. We're discussing all of your terrible decisions with consequences attached. >> On May 1st, officers confront a woman in a grocery store parking lot after she's caught on camera stealing multiple items with her child present. The situation quickly turns chaotic when she refuses to comply. >> Can you call back the complainant and find out what items were not paid for? >> I said I'd go home and get my purse. You take my son to my brother. >> Sit back and put your seat belt back on. What are you doing? We are going to go to McDonald's, but you need to stop. >> I've had that. That I've had before. You know what? You know what? Yes, I did. Here, take it. You can have it. You can take it back to him. >> No, no. See, you already left the store. We're way beyond >> I'll take it back. >> No. No, no, no. We're way beyond that. Look, stop. Go up to my car. >> No, sir, I cannot. >> Go to my car. >> No, sir, I cannot. >> Get out of the car. You're under arrest. >> No, sir, no, no, no. >> Okay, no, NO, NO. >> ARREST. >> NO, NO, NO, NO, NO. >> ARREST. >> STOP, STOP, STOP. MY SON IS RIGHT HERE. >> STOP RESISTING. >> STOP, STOP. LET ME CALL MY MOM. LET ME CALL MY MOM. >> WE'RE WAY beyond that. >> Let me call my mom. >> TAKE THAT. TAKE it out. TAKE IT OUT. Go Go Go to the ground. Go to the ground. >> STOP, STOP, STOP. STOP. STOP IT. >> STOP, PLEASE. >> YOU ARE DOING >> YEAH, THAT'S RIGHT. YOUR SON is right there. So, maybe stop doing that. Okay, I understand. You don't want to be under arrest in front of your child. But, which do you think is better? Going along with police calmly, and quietly, and rationally, or going down this route when you're screaming and your child is being traumatized seeing the police dragging you away? I don't understand why people feel the need to break the law with their children right there. If you're doing something that could result in you being arrested, why are you going to have your children a witness to it? That's just bad parenting. That is just That's horrible, horrible, bad parenting. And, I've said this in other shoplifting videos, and I'm going to say it again. The police and loss prevention's job is not to get you to pay for stuff. You can't just give them the stuff and be like, "Okay, there we go. We're all good now, right? Or, I'll just pay for it now. We're all good, right?" That's not how this works. And, your first instinct is to start fighting the police in front of your children? Good job, Mom. If you or your child spent years growing up on social media and experienced serious mental health struggles, you should hear this. Recently, a jury ordered Meta and YouTube to pay millions for their role in designing and promoting addictive platforms. They knew their apps could contribute to anxiety, depression, and body image issues, but did not share those risks while prioritizing profits. The recent historic verdict underscores the consequences of those decisions. Now, Morgan and Morgan is stepping up to hold these platforms accountable for the harm they caused. Click the link in my bio to take a short quiz. You may be entitled to a potential recovery of over $1,000. >> Just no, no. >> I need to let me call my mom. >> Stop. >> I'm asking the police TO CALL MY MOM. >> ROLL OVER. >> I'M ASKING THE POLICE TO CALL MY MOM. >> [screaming] >> YOU'RE ALSO GETTING RESISTING ARREST. >> I ALREADY HAVE one of those. >> Well, now you got another. >> I I wasn't resisting. >> You are resisting. >> Okay, well, that makes this even worse then because she's been through this before. She's already had a resisting charge before. Great. How many times has this child seen their mother get arrested? I I Yes, I'm judging. Yes, I'm judging because she deserves to be judged. Bad mother. Bad, bad, bad mother. Bad mother. I can't believe that she just willingly admitted that she's got a resisting charge already. Great. Which Which other charges are we going to add to this disaster? >> Hey, buddy. Everything's okay, bud. You're good, buddy. No, what is this? No, no. >> I can't breathe. You don't understand. >> Send your brother over. >> [screaming] >> ROLL OVER. GOOD. Sit up. Sit up. Okay. >> I I can't breathe. You don't understand. >> Stand up. No, we are way beyond that. Stand up. >> I have to call my mom. >> Stand up. Stand up. >> OH. >> STAND UP. >> [screaming] >> STAND UP. TUCK YOUR LEGS UNDER YOU AND STAND UP. >> IT'S NOT MY LEGS. It's my arms. Can you let me call my mom? That's all I'm asking. Please let me Can you call my mom? Cuz he can't get in the house cuz I have the keys in my car. >> It's okay. You know, one thematic coming in. >> Please. I asked him nicely to let me call my mom to get my baby. It's okay. >> Okay, we will, but you need to stand up. >> console him. >> If you comply, we will be willing to work with you. >> Okay, can you please just leave me alone? >> No, absolutely not. Stand up. One, TWO, THREE, GO. >> [screaming] >> STAND UP. >> AFTER ALL THIS, YOU THINK THAT THEY'RE JUST GOING TO TAKE THE CUFFS OFF FOR because you've been so nice and so sweet and so calm this entire time. Yeah, let's just have them take the handcuffs off. You can go console your child and let them know everything's going to be okay. And then you will gingerly enter their police vehicle and get escorted down to the police department. Yeah, cuz that's exactly how that's going to go. [ __ ] you're in handcuffs and you're going to STAY IN THEM. >> [screaming] >> DID SHE JUST SERIOUSLY SAY SHE COOPERATED? That's her idea of cooperating? To start resisting and have to be forced onto the ground to be handcuffed? Really? This is your mother? And you want her to take come take your son? Okay, that's all we're worried about right now. What what do you want the other friend for? What's your mother's name? Stop talking and let me talk. Now it is my turn. We are getting in the car. If you don't get in the car, you're going to get instructions to our squad. No. STOP. STOP. HEY. GET IN THE CAR. >> THIS IS GRANDMA. >> HELLO. >> STOP. >> GET IN THE CAR. GET IN THE CAR. >> I HIGHLY DOUBT THEY'RE DOING this for no reason. You kind of admitted to shoplifting when you said that you were willing to give the stuff back and hope that all of this goes away. And um yeah, I don't think they like you too much either, lady. >> You guys Get out of that and get in the car. >> Get in the car. >> You are >> Get all the way in the car. Now you're getting your stuff and >> That was supposed to be mom. Who were you trying to call? >> We're done now. >> Put your feet in the car. >> I will as soon as you finish talking. >> Put your feet in the car. >> In the car. You said put my feet >> All the way in the car. >> You said put my feet in the car. >> I'm going to give you one last chance to comply with all orders as they've been given. >> to talk to my mom. >> She's not answering. >> Okay, call uh then go get my phone so I can give you the other number. It's my sister-in-law. She lives with us. >> She wants your phone. >> Where's grandma coming? >> She didn't answer. I don't know where her phone is though. >> Where's mom's phone? >> Give me your phone. Oh, right here. What? >> It's 15102. Yeah, cuz you're yelling and not listening instead >> You're not complying with lawful orders. >> Okay, I would if you would listen to me. >> Okay. >> So, why would I comply with lawful orders? Okay, let let let me talk to somebody who's got a level head. >> Okay. >> Thank you. >> What is the phone number that you want me to call? >> You got to give me my phone and I'll talk to you. I have a level head. >> Do you know the code? >> Oh, it's >> Or the >> I I can't tell you. >> Well, come on. >> It's a medical >> All right. >> I I can't say that. >> Is that what it's in your phone as? >> Yes, it's H L E V E E. Hopefully she answers. And then if not her, I need to get Chrissa because that's my sister-in-law or I'm going to have to text him. >> That Chrissa? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> I I really don't I mean y'all been tried to jump on top six six of you tried to jump on top of me while I was nine months pregnant with that little boy and I wasn't even involved in what was going on. >> I don't know anything about that. >> I I honestly I was honest with y'all. I gave y'all the stuff and just there's no need to arrest me. I gave it back. Just let me go and let me go home. I'm >> What the [ __ ] do you mean there's no reason to arrest you because you gave it all back? Are you stupid? Are you as dumb of a human being as you are bad as a mother? Really? You thought that you could just give it all back and there's no reason to arrest you? I I surprise myself at how things don't just like stop surprising me anymore. Like I am surprised by the fact that I am still constantly surprised by people. You know what though? I I'm just going to say it. She She looks like a stereotypical mother that I would walk by in the store and I would immediately judge her and think that she was doing something illegal. I would. I would. You know what? She even kind of looks like the kind of person that uses her child to steal. You know those people that will like stuff things into baby's car seat or put things into a diaper bag. You know, she looks like the type. That's right, I'm judging. I'm judging and no, I don't feel bad about it. >> doing anything wrong. I won't go back to Walmart. I'll stay away. I just I just need my son. I just want to go home. >> I know, but you crossed the line. >> How? Doing what? If I If I'm not able to feed my 14? Sir, listen to me, please. >> Listen. Listen. >> Can I speak real quick? The reason I have to steal is because I don't have any money. I don't have anybody to help me. Yes, my mom is there, but she won't help me. >> Mhm. >> I I literally live off of TANF. I have no money. I have to provide for my son. I lost everything. I just left a domestic violence situation. I just got out of the shelter. Adrian. >> Yeah, we're here with her. >> And I I just want to go home with my son. I'm scared out of my mind as it is. Nobody's helped me with the domestic violence. Nobody's helped me with anything. It's all been me. My son is traumatized as it is. I just want to go home, please. I don't >> So, if you know that your son is traumatized by all these horrific situations that you've been a part of, why are you making it worse? If you're cognizant enough in your dim-wit brain to know that your son is traumatized, why are you making it worse by visually allowing him to see you get manhandled by the police, handcuffed, arrested while you're kicking and screaming because you shoplifted? Bad mom, bad mom, bad mom. Also, I really don't have sympathy for people that say that they're shoplifting because they don't have any money. There are resources out there. There are lots of places where you can get cheap or free merchandise if you are struggling. There are shelters. There are churches. There are stores in general that are dedicated to that kind of thing, especially if you are escaping a domestic violence kind of situation. So, I have no sympathy and I honestly don't believe her that she has no other option. I don't believe her. I don't believe her at all. I look at her, I don't believe her. I think it's a very convenient excuse and she thinks that the officers are going to have sympathy on her and maybe just let her go since she gave it all back. Uh but, spoiler alert, they're not. >> to go to jail. I won't go back to Walmart. >> All right. >> I'll I'll do I promise I'll I'll do better. Just please don't arrest me. >> I I understand. >> I just want to go home. >> Listen to me. >> Please. >> Okay. Will you listen to me? Okay. I can understand that you're down and out, okay? And you're trying to survive, all right? >> So, why is this okay? >> Okay, hear me out, okay? I heard you out, right? Okay? But, there is plenty plenty of resources that could have helped you. >> I have called them all. Nobody has helped me. >> You could have You could have probably gone home with a citation. >> Okay, so that I wasn't resisting. I really wasn't. >> here. >> I wasn't resisting. I was telling I was trying to talk to him. We were We talked. So, then oh, now you're getting resisting because you won't listen. No, I'm not going to leave my son sitting here by himself. >> Well, I'm not leaving your son sitting here by you. >> is scared. My son just wants me. Please, >> I'm sure he's scared, but you chose that. >> No, I didn't choose anything. I chose to go home. Y'all are the ones pulling me over. You're the one [ __ ] with me. I just want to go home. >> So, it's okay to steal? What do you mean I'm working with you? >> I Okay, it's okay Yes, it's okay to steal when you have nothing and you have to make it somehow. So, tell me who would have helped me because I've called every resource out there. Literally every resource out there and nobody has the funds right now. Nobody's helping. I've tried. I've >> Who have you talked to? >> to Salvation Army. I've talked to my case worker with DSHS. I've talked to everybody. Laurie something I I don't think she's a case worker. She's like the leader. I don't know what she is, but I talked to her and I was told I couldn't do anything until I got my work first stuff done. And it's like I I've been trying to and every time I turn around you're telling me I have an appointment and I keep missing the appointment because I'm not getting notice of the appointment. So, now I'm calling you and see what I finally get the notice that I missed an appointment and you're telling me you can't help me because I haven't And now my appointment's on the 5th. I have to go to court here in Sultan for a traffic ticket that made no sense because he pulled me over, but he didn't actually pull me over because I already got my destination getting out of the vehicle and then he pulled up and said he was pulling me over. >> So, you're just the angel. You don't do anything wrong. >> angel. I do [ __ ] wrong and yes, I stole >> [laughter] >> So, this officer sitting here. Uh-huh. Yeah, okay. Uh-huh. Yeah, so you're just a victim. You're just an angel. You're just misunderstood in this entire situation. Got it. Now that you have all of that out of your system, let me tell you what YOUR CHARGES ARE. OH, HONEY. YEAH, you're not going to find any sympathy here. Sorry. >> Well, but I stole for a good reason. It's not like I was just stealing to steal. >> Okay, there's stuff in there like Red Bulls. There's stuff in there like >> I had. I got those from Nom Nom. >> Yeah, it's all in the bag. It's all been stolen. >> The Red Bull others shouldn't be a Red Bull in the bag. I got all my Red Bulls from from Nom Nom down there. >> I don't know what to tell you. >> I I mean, I put some put my a couple of my drinks in there. I didn't >> So, let me ask you >> steal them. I got them from Nom Nom. Cuz that's where I get all my Red >> Are you self-medicating? >> No. I just want to go home and deal with my baby, please. >> Well, let's go take care of this. The sooner we take care of it, the sooner you can get home, okay? So, put your feet in for me, please. You You got to get your slide around. >> Can I please get my bag? >> put your feet up underneath the the thing. You don't want your son to see you like this. >> already seen it. You can bring him over here for a second, please. >> No, that's not going to happen. Well, whoever your friend is that's coming can can bring him over here. We're not doing it. >> Please let me do it. Let me just talk to him. Take me over there. >> Put your feet in. >> Please let me talk to him. >> No. >> I'm asking like Wait, I'm not resisting and he's constantly tightening >> Okay. >> And it hurts cuz it's biting into my arm. >> Then let's get you to the jail. >> No. I don't need to take me to jail. For what? For cooperating? For giving you the stuff? For telling me to take it and then you all want to arrest me because I gave it to you? All right, this is why I hate you. I hate every single one of you. Can I have my shoe, please? >> We're not doing that. Why are you hitting your head? >> I would like this that you made me hit my head. I just put my head against the glass, maybe a little too hard. >> Well, you're shaking the car. You hit your head so hard. >> I did like this. >> Is that blood down her face or is that her hair? If she like tossed her hair like this and whacked her head, is she bleeding or is that her hair? Like no. No, I hope we get to see. Oh my that cuz from a distance it looks like she's bleeding but her hair just could be like in her face. Yeah, that would be annoying in the back of a police car. No, it kind of looks like she's bleeding from here though. >> I know. >> Put my head forward. >> All right. >> I just want to go home. >> It's all on camera. >> wrong. >> Yeah, everything's audio video recorded, dash cam, body cam. Once you get to the jail, you have the right to a lawyer. >> I will go back to mama. I'll sue. You have nothing. You be coming from back from Portland. You from a domestic violence. I can show you the pictures of what he did to me. >> I probably would do everything the police told me to. >> Yeah, she's she's bleeding. She's bleeding. She's bleeding. I'm pretty sure that the original body cam channel switched it to black and white to hide the red because you can't show the red gushy stuff on YouTube without getting in trouble, which by the way, all original body cams are always linked down in my video description, so you can go follow these channels and support them. But yeah, she she cracked her head. What an idiot. >> Please, just let me I want to go home. Please, just let me go home. Please let me go. Please. Please let ME GO HOME. >> [screaming] >> I WAS NOT TRYING TO FLEE. I SAT LIKE THIS in the driver's seat. I did not sit facing the wheel. I sat just like this. You attacked me. >> Well, you can you'll have your day in court. >> No, let me go and I'll still go to court. Let me go. I didn't do anything. You're the one who started it because all I did was be honest with you. And then you wanted to act like you acted. I wasn't trying to flee the scene. I wouldn't do that. I'm not stupid enough to do that. >> You could have had me fooled. >> [laughter] >> I mean, you're a stupid enough to resist arrest right in front of your child. You're stupid enough to shoplift with your child. You're stupid enough to think that handing the merchandise back will get you un-arrested. And then you're STUPID ENOUGH TO CRACK your face open when you're flinging your hair against the bars in the back of a police car. So, uh yeah, no. Uh you seem pretty stupid to me. All the way around. All the way around stupid. Stupid, stupid, and a bad mom. You're the ones stupid enough to think that, but I'm not. >> Yeah, relax. Sure. Tell him to take cuffs off and let me go home. >> LET ME GO! >> [screaming] >> LET ME GO! YOU HAVEN'T SAID YOU'RE GOING TO DO IT. WHAT SHOULD I DO? I'M NOT GOING ANYWHERE. STOP TOUCHING ME. STOP TOUCHING ME. I'M NOT A FEMALE. If you want to touch me, go get a woman. NOW, STOP TOUCHING ME. >> I'm taking the cuffs off you. >> Get a [ __ ] female to touch me, not you. >> We got a female at the jail. >> Yes. Yes, please. Okay. >> Well, to make a long story short, she stole a bunch of stuff from Walmart. And then wanted to resist. Didn't want to go with the program. And now she's to go to jail. So, I appreciate you coming to get your stuff, okay? And then she wants to bang her head against the glass in there. That's why she's all bloody. >> The suspect faces charges for retail theft, obstructing justice, resisting arrest, and contributing to the delinquency of a child. No information about her plea or sentencing has been made available to the >> Yeah, so she admitted to stealing. Like literally right there. She admitted to stealing for {quote} good reason. And then she denied resisting arrest when you know, we all saw her resisting arrest. And she just kept making a bad situation worse. AND THEN SHE CRACKED HER HEAD OPEN. What an idiot. So, having a difficult life may explain how you ended up in that situation, but it does not excuse you from dragging your child through a traumatic experience like that.
