I have a female to stay in the office. Can we start another rolling? Have a seat right here. >> Have a seat. >> Have a seat. >> You guys, today's body cam video exists because of a pair of Walmart socks. Trust me when I say it's nothing worth ruining your entire life over. And then within minutes, we have scream crying, door pounding, resisting arrest, and a grown man acting like the asset protection office is the final boss battle. The secondhand embarrassment in this one is strong. >> On January 16th, 2023, officers responded to a Walmart for a shoplifting complaint. >> How you doing? Better come back inside the store. For what? >> What you mean? >> I just paid for every thing. >> What you mean? What I pay for? I can't stop. >> Just go back inside. >> Unless you unless part of it. >> Give me the purse, bro. >> Don't start. You don't got to grip. >> Back up. >> Back up, man. >> Okay. Stay right there. Unless you Unless you want to be a part of this. Stop, bro. Back up. That's fine. >> You want to go down this way? Walmart. >> So, it's really difficult to understand what she is saying and trying to defend herself from being caught shoplifting because of the filth just spewing from her mouth. All of it has to be censored. THEY WERE SO SURPRISED to be stopped, aren't they, man? They're always so surprised and confused when they get stopped. It's like shoplifterss have a guide book to tell you exactly how to react when you get caught. And then when they realize that asset protection isn't going to just let them leave because of a few what mess, then they get angry and they start shooting their mouths off and basically stomping their feet all the way to the office. I would love to see an instance where a shoplifter just goes quietly, but I don't think that's ever going to happen. Who said that? >> Right here to the right. >> Ma'am, we're going to go right here to this. That's where you open a door. >> Step over here. Sorry. >> Is it just me or does it sound like the officer keeps chuckling? [laughter] >> It sounds like the entire way they're talking, she's just like running her mouth and cussing up a storm and you just kind of hear the officer kind of going [laughter] like that's what I keep hearing. Is it just me or am I just hearing my soul giggle after shoplifterss are getting caught red-handed? >> Step back this way. >> I'm not I'm not detaining you, sir. Please step over this way. >> My stuff. >> No, you cannot stop. >> Why you can't get me? >> Because I'm not stopping you. Okay. >> So, can I pay for my stuff? >> I'm going to have you step over here. >> Let me pay for my stuff. >> Ma'am, you're going to go You're going to go into the office. You're going to wait here for her. She's going to come out to you. Okay. >> What the Oh, >> just go in there, bro. Let me see the bathroom. >> It's cool. Excuse me. >> There's a bench over there. Please have a seat. >> He shut that door, Lacy. [clears throat] >> I don't have a seat. >> Okay. So, have a seat. >> I'll have a seat. You want to pay for some socks? >> I know that all Walmart asset protection offices probably look similar, but I swear we've been here before. I'm going to insert a clip here and you tell me if this looks familiar. >> This girl right here. What it is. All right. Appreciate y'all. Just sit back down for me. We'll be done shortly. >> 1520 1583. >> See what I mean? They all look the same. Unless this is the exact same office, which I don't think so. It' kind of be a crazy coincidence, but really Walmart catches so many shoplifterss. They all start to look the same. >> Go ahead. Go ahead. Ain't nothing else in there for you. >> Okay. Ain't nothing else, baby. Ain't nothing else. >> Do you have a Addie? >> No, I don't. >> You don't have a house. >> Okay. >> All my come here y my receipt. >> Okay. >> Did you steal the socks? >> I took the socks up. The socks was already open. I said, "Okay, it's three socks. No tag on it." I'm standing at the reg. The lady came back and she say, "Go get another one." So I did. I scanned. I put in my bag. I show my receipt. >> You scanned. You scanned. >> I was right there. I scanned stuff. Baby, I paid for it. We going to buy [ __ ] >> So these this is going to be on your receipt that you just had. >> It's going to be on my receipt. I pay for it, too. You want me to pay for it? >> No. If you already pay for it, I'm going to get the receipt. >> Okay. So, who will get it? It's already if I pay for it and Okay, cool. Pay for it. >> No, no, no. There's only It's either on the receipt or it's not on the receipt. Is it on the receipt? It's not on my receipt. You >> I watched you put it in your purse. >> Okay. So, you want me to pay for it? >> I know. You pay for it at court. >> This is all over a handful of white Walmart ankle socks. Seriously, that's what she stole. She took white Walmart ankle socks, put them in her purse, and then walked out, and that's why she got busted. And then to claim, oh, they weren't scanning, so I just put them in my bag. and they were supposed to go get me another one to scan. And then she claims that she actually paid for it and it's on the receipt, but then it's not on the receipt. And she's like, she not making any sense. She's trying to make it sound like she didn't shoplift and she's doing a really bad job of keeping her story straight. >> No, no, no. Have a seat now. >> Hello. You're >> right. Just embarrassed yourself. Tell me why I'm at I'm at Walmart. I'm not going to stop you. >> You're being stopped right now for shoplifting. Please hang up the phone. Okay. >> Stop right now for shopping for what? >> Okay. What you did is called shoplifting. >> Okay. So, can I pay for it? That's why >> and that's why you being stopped. No, we're beyond the point that you can't pay for it. Okay. >> Okay. So, what do you mean? I'm at the point where I can't pay for it. >> Exactly what I just said. >> I can't pay for nothing and I should call my boyfriend. >> Ma'am, please have a seat. >> Can I pay for my stuff, please? >> Again, please have a seat. >> Okay. >> Thank you. >> No, you cannot pay for it. No, you cannot call him >> for it >> because you >> I can't pay for it. I want to go to my daughter. Are you serious, man? >> Okay, listen. >> Baby. >> Okay, I understand that. Are you going to let me talk or are you going to keep talking over me? >> Oh, why were you giving? >> So, no, you can't pay for it because you already tried to steal it. >> I never tried to steal it. I promise you everything. I never tried to steal it, bro. >> You can't honestly think that he's that stupid. Of course you tried to steal it. You have socks in your purse that are out of packaging. What other excuse do you have that's actually a good one? Cuz all your excuses are really, really bad. They make no sense and you're making yourself look really stupid. I also always find it comical that when shoplifters actually get caught shoplifting, they think that they're just going to be able to simply pay and get out of it. The cops that are on site and asset protection are not there to be your cashier. They're not there to take your payment after you've decided to shoplift. You've been caught. Just swallow it down and realize you're about ready to get arrested for stealing a pair of Walmart socks. >> 226. >> Can you open up a sign at the Walmart? I have a female design in the office. Can you start another Have a seat right here. Now >> have a seat. >> Have a seat. We're going to be in the AP office. Um, the boyfriend is outside knocking on the door. Hey, man. Back up off the door. Back up off the door, dude. Back up. Like I said, back up, bro. You're going to end up going to jail, man. I'm trying to tell. >> Okay. I'm trying to tell you, man. Back up. >> Okay. >> Yeah. Bro, I'm trying to tell you. >> I'm trying to give you the >> He needs to not say that. Otherwise, he'll be a self-fulfilling prophecy. Tase me. Tase me. Tase me then, dude. Why are you being so pissy? Are you jealous because you're not the one being arrested right now? Are you the kind of boyfriend who is jealous of the girlfriend getting all of the attention? Why would you ask a police officer, "Well, why don't you tase me? Are you going to tase me?" Well, if you keep bucking up to him, that might happen. >> Not to go to jail. >> Okay. >> Again, >> back away from the door, bro. Yo, we'll go ahead and detain him. >> Don't detain. Don't touch me. Don't touch me, bro. Don't touch me. >> Don't touch me, BRO. >> WHAT I SAY? WHAT I SAY? What did I say? He was jealous. He He wanted to be apprehended, too. He's probably thinking to himself, "Well, that's not fair. My girlfriend's catching a charge. Well, I want to catch a charge, too. >> Don't touch me, Bo. Don't touch me. [screaming] >> Get back. Get back. >> Get back. Careful. Don't touch me, bro. Don't touch me, bro. Don't touch me, bro. Shut the Don't touch me, bro. Bro, I'm not I'm not resisting, bro. >> I'm not resisting. It's okay. >> I got weed in my pocket, bro. Got weed on you, bro. >> I'm straight. I'm straight. I'm straight. I'm straight. I'm straight. I'm straight. I got weed in my I got weed in my left pocket. I got weed in my left pocket right here. I got weed in my left pocket. back in the office going. >> She's so dramatic. Please, please, please, PLEASE. Oh my god. Please. OH, WAIT. HOLD ON. I'M NOT DOING IT RIGHT. PLEASE. [screaming] PLEASE, [ __ ] He asked for this. He literally asked for this. All he had to do was stand outside of the AP room and keep HIS TRAP SHUT. INSTEAD, HE HAD TO START BUCKING UP TO the cop, start saying, "Why don't you tase me?" Wouldn't quit. Got threatened with being detained. Still didn't stop. That is why his ass was on the ground getting handcuffed. AND WHY WAS she still on her phone? Why? I don't understand. You bring them into the office because you're about ready to start prosecution or trespass or whatever they're going to do because they were caught shoplifting. Why not take the phone away immediately? I don't understand. Why was she allowed to have her phone and exit the AP office when her boyfriend started TO GET ARRESTED? WHY WAS SHE able to leave? She could have took off running on foot. Am I crazy? This seems so sloppy right now. >> She going to jail. >> What happened? >> Well, if she would have been acting like an idiot and listen to what I was telling you. >> No, you Oh, man. I'm bad. >> You [clears throat] didn't tell me nothing. I'm hearing her crying. I'm thinking she freaking out. I don't know what's going on. I'm hearing her cry. That's all I'm hearing. I want to know what's going on. >> That she stole some >> She WAS CRYING BECAUSE SHE GOT CAUGHT SHOPLIFTING. WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GONNA DO? Run in there and save her from a cop? What a dumbass. >> I didn't know she stole nothing. >> Okay. But I told you that she did. >> You didn't tell me that. You never told me that. >> I did. >> No, you didn't. >> Right here at this store. That's okay. >> You never told me that. You didn't tell me nothing. You said give her back to give her back the purse. That's all you told me. I never knew she took anything, bro. Like, >> come on, bro. That Bro, I'm still bro. >> Have a seat. Kevin, >> just talk to me, bro. Real [ __ ] bro. You need to talk to me, bro. >> Yeah. Put your feet inside. I'm going to take you to the county. You going to jail. Put your feet inside. >> Going to jail for your Put your feet inside. >> Going to jail for you. Tell my charge. >> Put your feet inside, sir. No, I don't. Put your feet inside. >> Tell my charge, >> Kevin. Put your feet inside the car. Charge. >> Put your foot, man. >> Okay. Could you do me at least one favor, please, bro? You could just do one favor. Please get my gun up. I thought you were going to jail. That's it. That's all I >> All right. Put your feet in the car. I'll come back and talk to you. >> All right. Please. Well, just talk to me, bro. I'm calm now. >> Here. Just take a seat. Take a seat over here. >> Okay. >> Oh my god. We don't know where to go. >> I just I just got here. So, take a seat for me. >> All right. Just take a seat for me. >> So, all right. Breathe. Breathe. >> You don't deserve it. I got to make sure I'm good. >> Okay. >> Please don't take him to jail. >> I try my best. You know me. We don't have nowhere to go. >> Do you have ID? >> I don't have it with me. >> Okay. >> I don't >> I don't I wasn't screaming. You got here, bro. >> You know, we don't have nowhere to go. >> All right. What's your first name? >> Britney. >> He just gave >> two T's or one T. >> He just >> Britney, what's your middle initial? >> Can I call my mom, please? >> No, not yet. Britney, >> answer this question. What's your name is coming down. Answer the man question. >> We have a voice coming down. >> Answer the man question. Middle name. >> He's >> Britney. You got to stop crying. I can't hear you. >> I don't have nowhere to go. >> Cry. Cut the [ __ ] >> Oh, it's okay. You have somewhere to go now. Jail. >> Now answer the main question. >> What is your middle name? >> What is What is your last name? We're not calling cuz you're about to quick seconds going to some cops and going to a cop. Cut the [ __ ] out. Answer the man question. >> What is your last name? >> What you got? Uh, stop looking. >> I did nothing. >> Come on. Stand up. Say a question. >> I love it. They're not falling for any of her [ __ ] I love that police officer right there. He's like, "Cut the [ __ ] Answer the man's questions." That's right. Your drama ain't WORKING ON NOBODY, HONEY. [screaming] >> PLEASE, PLEASE. >> NO. How about you ANSWER THE MAN QUESTION? >> My [ __ ] Hey Siri, please please please. >> Since you want to sit here and [ __ ] I'm going to show you some [ __ ] >> Sit down. Answer the man question. >> I ain't got time and paperwork. That's all I got tonight. >> Okay. >> Last name. Stop crying. >> My last name is >> Spell it. >> Please. You know our situation. >> I don't want to know nothing. I want to hear you answer the damn question. >> I don't do nothing. Please. >> I just want to go home. Please. I'm just trying to make sure we have somewhere to sleep. >> What's your social? >> Please. Oh, can you hear me? >> I didn't take anything. I'll pay for it, please. Please don't pay for it. Please. >> I'll pay for it. Please, please, please, please, please, please, please don't take my boyfriend to jail. Please. >> I'm sorry. I just needed some clothes. [laughter] I just needed some clothes. I don't have nowhere to go. >> I don't got nowhere to go. >> You want to run her out there so she's not screaming at my mic? >> That's why we got this. Please listen. Please >> listen. >> We don't got nowhere to go. >> Hey, you got to stop crying. >> You're an adult, right? >> Britney, if you don't calm down, you'll get yourself. [laughter] >> We home. That's what we want. >> I need this. Okay. So, listen. Have I yelled at you or anything today? Right. You did all the yelling, right? >> He's an adult. Okay. She made an adult decision. >> What did [screaming] he do? >> I asked him to back away from the door. >> What are you doing? Please refuse to do that. >> Please. Please. That's all I got. That's all I got. Please. That's all I got. I never took nothing from me. I never took nothing. That's all I do with some clothes. I need my right. Please >> no. >> Please, please, please, please, please, please, please. >> You please go. Please. [laughter] Please go. Please. How long is she going to be able to keep up with these crocodile tears? I swear my kids cried less when I told them they couldn't HAVE GUMMY BEARS AT THE GROCERY STORE. >> We don't got nowhere to go. We don't got nowhere to go. We got this cold outside. We don't got nowhere to go. Please. I never mean this thing. I pay for everything else. I pay for everything, bro. Please pay for my skin before I bleed. Please. >> Are those real Yeezys? >> No, I have no way to call. >> Are those real Yeezys? >> No, we don't have nothing. That's the only person that's waiting for me. She's sitting there crying about having no money and nowhere to go. Just saying that she needed some clothes and that's why she stole socks. And this police officer is calling her ass out. He's like, "Are those real Yeezys?" H You got real Yeezys on your feet? No. [laughter] No. They're fake. Just like my tears. Princess, please. [laughter] >> He does. >> Yeah. >> Please. Good. How are you? >> Good. >> We don't have nowhere to go. >> Okay. >> We don't have anything else. I hope I have clothes on. >> Okay. >> I pay for everything else. >> It's still not acceptable to steal from the store. >> I'm sorry. Can I just pay for it? >> It's up to Walmart. It's not >> It don't have nowhere to go. We don't have nowhere to go. That's why we bought those places and those blankies. Please. Please. Please sir, for right now. For right now, you're just going to sit there. >> I don't want to go. Can I go on my ride? Please. >> No. >> Please. >> I just want to be able to call my people, please. I don't have no family. I only have one person I can call. >> Okay. Well, I'm not calling anyone right now, so I'm sorry. I just wanted to get some socks. I just wanted to get some socks. Please, I don't have no clothes. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Can I just go? Please. Please. Can I just please? >> No. Sorry to hear that, but no. You cannot leave. >> I never took anything out. I just took some time. I need a song. >> Still theft. >> Why are we going to jail? Sir, >> yes, ma'am. >> Why are we going to jail? Whether we have somewhere to go home to or not is completely irrelevant because you both would have been leaving out here today if he wouldn't have done what he did. >> I know he got every issue. >> Okay. >> I told him to calm down. That's why [clears throat] I'm trying to tell him to calm down. >> But you know he got riled up because of the way you were acting initially. He was feeding into the way you were acting because when you went and you put the stuff in your purse, you did it in between the clothing rack over there, right? So, necessarily he didn't see you do it, but he saw you leave with the stuff and then you came back without it. Okay? So, I I I've been dating people for a long time. I know you probably been dating him for a while, so I'm pretty sure that he knew that you stole the stuff. It's It's neither here nor there, right? But however, you should have told him when I stopped you at the door and I told you, "Let's not do all this. Let's just go back inside, right?" Because I've been doing this for a long time. So, when I stop you, I already know you have it. I'm not going to stop the wrong person. And then I'm talking to you with common sense, like, "Let's just go back inside. Let's handle this cuz I already know. I'm just going to give you a ticket and you're going to go." Now, in your case, you have the warrant. So, you know, there's really nothing that I can do, per se. But if we had went a different route, you might have been able to walk out of here and go take care of the warrant on your own. You know what I'm saying? So, >> that's fine. But listen, that's besides the point of what I'm talking about. That's what other people are doing. I'm talking about your behavior and his behavior. I understand that. >> Okay. But again, that that so that situation with you all being homeless, I understand that. I was homeless, too, at one point when I was younger. But that still doesn't change the fact of how you carried on in the store today. That's what we're talking. >> Man, I was getting so bored of her tears, I almost fell asleep there for a minute. Just like this police officer saying, lots of people fall on hard times. That doesn't mean that you have the right to steal and break the law. BECAUSE IF FALLING ON HARD TIMES meant that everybody could just take anything anytime they wanted, what would the incentive be for people to work and actually purchase things? You could just claim that you were on hard times just to take whatever you wanted. That's not how the world works. There are resources if you are truly homeless or if you've fallen on hard times. There are resources where you can get items that you might need at little to no cost for you. The only thing that walking into Walmart and shoplifting is going to get you is prosecuted and charged. And those tears are going to get you nowhere right now. Okay. This door. All right. There's some down there. All right. All right. >> What's up? >> Going down here. He's down here. >> My [ __ ] too bad, bro. My [ __ ] two bands, bro. Huh? >> My [ __ ] too, babe. >> My [ __ ] too, bro. >> Uh, whose car she running? >> Okay. >> Who's taking him? >> Okay. >> You say you taking both them together? Yeah, Tiffany, >> y'all going to ride down together. Okay. >> So, >> uh, she has a warrant. >> Um, >> okay. All right. Well, I I didn't know. >> Um, I'm sorry, too, bro. But I ain't going to lie. I'm real. I'm sorry. >> I appreciate that. >> He knows, bro. He the same one who pulled up, bro. Who was that over there, bro? know that we >> what we talk about how what we talk about how WE TALK ABOUT >> OH SHE knows them and he knows her. [laughter] That's the same one that rolled up on us that one time for doing the one thing. And the police officer IS LIKE, "OH YEAH, THAT was you. This is not your first time." Oh yeah, and you got a warrant. That's probably why you were crying so much because you knew that your ass was going down for more than just shoplifting. Sounds like you make some really good choices in life. >> But you'll be straight talking. He's going to put you in his car. 200. >> Hold on. Wait. Wait. Hold on. Wait. Hold on. Right. Y'all going in the same car. >> You said you going to take them together. >> Yeah. You want You don't want to take that. You >> So it's not that. But normally our policy states that males and females get transported separately. So that's why. You want to check her again before I put it in? Yeah. >> Riding in the same car. >> Yes. >> Yeah. >> All right. One second. >> Okay. Have a seat. Just watch your head. The woman was booked for an existing warrant and also charged with shoplifting while the male was charged with resisting arrest. >> Man, those tears sure stopped pretty quick, didn't they? I would think if you're truly distraught and shedding tears that you wouldn't be able to turn off the waterworks that fast. So that to me alone says that it was an act. Aside from the fact that, you know, she was a little too over the top. She kind of gave herself away over socks. She was caught shoplifting because of socks. Oh my god, that was such a bad call. And it turned to such a chaotic production that these police officers are probably going to need a nap afterwards. I mean, [ __ ] I started napping in the middle of it.
