my ha well I just yeah before before we do that I want to make sure that you're safe um Okay police identify the suspect seen here as 53-year-old Bonnie Campbell after Air Traffic Control reported a possible drunk driver blocking incoming planes on the tarmac can we can we run through some tests and hopefully get you on your way yes okay come on out for me no wait can I just like go back no not tests or no not really okay we don't we don't have to do them but one thing I you understand is you're you're going to get arrested for DUI without doing the test I mean so it's it's entirely up to suspected drunk driving as those handcuffs go on the only thing taking off here is her chance of getting away with it my car okay stay back there stay back there please still you already said stay want to speak with him or no what's what's going on this is offic W course again your wife is being arrested for DUI on the runway okay Bonnie is taken to a patrol vehicle while one officer continues searching her car let's see what he finds two three 6 7 eight all right [Music] 12 1 15 the officer counts up to 15 empty beer cans but he's not stopping there 16 18 [Music] police find 18 loose empty beer cans along with this trash bag that appears to be filled with even more empty beer cans back with Bonnie at the patrol car she's not exactly fessing up to the airport accusations if you want you can kind of turn around and have a kind of a lean up against the front of that car for me there you [Applause] go I really promise you I didn't I got you I promise I didn't well the um I just wanted to go I know but uh air traffic control and the witnesses all in here want to say otherwise moments later the officer asked Bonnie if she's willing to take a breathalyzer test let's see how that goes will you take the state's test do what was the question are you going to submit to the state's breath test I don't know all I know is that like I just like have to go I got you yes or no it's it's your right to to submit to it it's also your right to uh deny taking the test just as a result again your driver's license will be revoked or denied by the Department of Public Safety what would you do if you I can't give you any legal advice this is your decision like I just want to go here okay so listen ma'am uh if you refuse to answer the question it's going to be taken as a refusal so do you want to submit to the state's breath test or or no I I guess I I mean I don't know okay that's not a yes or a no ma'am I mean I guess guess it's not a yes or no it's either yes you want to or no you do not that that again let me just rephrase again you are you are under arrest so we submit to the states test or no I I guess okay it's yes or no I guess is is not a yes or a no you're going to have Under the Influence next Bonnie has read her Miranda rights before officers get a chance to ask her a few important questions you understand each of these rights I've explained to you do what yes okay having these rights in mind do you wish to talk to me okay it is that your car yeah okay how much have you had to drink after these gentlemen stopped you oh so when the when the guys came out here and stopped your car and took your keys they did all right were you drinking after they stopped you no okay so you didn't have anything to drink once they stopped you right no okay how much have you did you drink beforehand I I don't even really interesting that matters well I mean obviously when you're operating motor vehicle I mean like maybe like three bears okay three beers before you got we were here in the airport okay that's it like I just all I wanted to do is just like back so I The Hanger like my let me ask you this why didn't you just stay at The Hanger I mean you could drink inside the hanger what yeah but any reason why you wanted to drive around here no I just yeah what so were you when you were drinking were you just drinking at the hanger were okay were you drinking in the car at all um yes but I wasn't driving okay but you were just parked and drinking yes okay that's OD all right but you don't I don't know what you don't remember driving around at all no okay didn't do you remember the gentleman that were that stopped you while you were on the road here no like I don't even know that guy well I know they don't really know you either other than they saw you driving and the fact too I think I didn't do I got you well let me let me explain the airport control tower called us saying you were blocking the runway and driving around on the runway and then we got a call from these gentlemen that stopped you uh a short time later saying they had stopped you with your and got the keys out of your car so seconds later a female officer arrives to search the 53-year-old well I avoided going on the runway [Music] okay uh do you anything on you it's going to put me stick me do you have anything on you it's going to put me stick me like needles knives anything sharp anything on you you don't want going to jail anything illegal like drugs anything like that no okay can you step on the car for me take step take step forward is she going to city or Moss M you okay can you stand up okay stand up for me then her hanger is literally just one street over probably I know now you just let me go oh you have a hanger here yes like I just want to go whatever reason this didn't work the way that it's supposed to okay are you willing to retake the test are you done with it I don't know like what I'm asking is like well you I I can't answer that again I cannot answer that um but would you like to retake the test or are you done taking it I I don't know would you like to would you like to try the blowing test again or are you done I guess I'm okay no I I cannot provide any input on that end so we done Bon is later taken to the hospital over medical complaints before police reveal she allegedly blew a34 on a breathalizer test that's over four times the legal limit to drive after evaluating Bonnie doctors decide to keep the 53-year-old overnight and one officer is not too happy about it all right Bonnie you win I said you win felony aggravated du y the status of that charge remains unclear however court records show the 53-year-old leader fought to keep her license from being revoked and won
