Looking for like a little step stool, but What's going on? All right, so we just got a call that we're investigating on. Uh, I guess uh maybe a strange interaction between another customer. I have no idea. It's the holiday season at a home decor store in Middletown, New Jersey where the weather outside is frightful and so is the guy in the aisle. Take a look at this surveillance video that catches a man lurking around before making a move and allegedly exposing himself before inappropriately touching a woman. Witnesses said the suspect managed to get away, but 9 days later Hey, bud. My name's Officer Bassey. Just so you know, my camera's on recording. Are you driving the car here? Yeah, yes, sir. You are? Okay, what were you just doing inside the store? Uh, just doing some shopping and stuff. Doing some shopping? You got anything with you? Yeah, I know. I was just looking around. Looking for like a little step stool, but didn't have anything I was looking for. Okay. Did you talk to any other customers inside the store? No, that's it. No? Talked to an employee. That's right. The suspect seen here, identified as 21-year-old Perry Manjano, allegedly returned to the store when employees said they recognized him and called police. Okay. You were just browsing, that's it? Yeah. Okay. Do me a favor, once you This is your vehicle, you said? Yeah. We're just going to step right to the rear of your vehicle here. Okay. Hey, I'm going to go talk to the side of him and see what's going on. I appreciate that. What's going on? All right, so we just got a call that we're investigating on. Uh, I guess uh maybe a strange interaction between another customer. I have no idea. Okay. Now, you got any ID on you, pal? It's in the red jacket right here. Yeah, the ones they had weren't what I was looking for. Okay. Do you come to the store a lot? Uh not really. No? No. Maybe once in a while. All right. I tried the uh the Michaels over there, too. They didn't didn't have any there. Is this All right. Hey Perry, what's a good phone number for you, boss? Yep. All right. Were you here a week ago or 2 weeks ago? 2 weeks ago or maybe 2 weeks ago? Maybe 2 weeks ago? Yeah. Okay. All right. All right. What did you uh Did you get anything here while when you were here last time? No, I was looking for um like other decorations, little pictures. Okay. Do you know like when recently it was? I'm sure they'll let you know, yeah. All right, cool. The officer heads inside the store to figure out what's going on when witnesses reveal a disturbing sequence of events. I'm going to feel terrible, but I saw his face last time and when he walked in this time, I recognized him right away. And I was on break, so I called her upstairs upstairs cuz I didn't want him to come through on our walk. And this was between a patron of the store and him? And him the first time. And nothing happened, but we saw him come back in. Okay. And we got nervous. I got you. No, no, no worries. I just feel embarrassed. Don't I Oh, listen, I know it's not easy, but as long as we have a good end result here. Yes. I wasn't too familiar with the last name. Yeah, there were two um reports, though. Okay. All right. She's in here. Perfect. Officer Basics here. Thank you. Hey, how are you? Good. How are you doing? So, they're positive it's him. I just asked him to show me the footage so we could confirm. They don't have a means of downloading it onto a disc, so we have to figure that out. Okay. Apparently, it's two different incidences of the same situation. The last time uh the woman's boyfriend ran out and caught the tail end of the license plate. Okay. And then this time uh I didn't get to read the 440s. Yeah, I didn't either. I just tried to skim through it while he was walking out. But, they had the Akron camera? No. We have What we have on We have a victim statement though stating that it happened. If we could pinpoint the two of them in the same aisle together, Okay. Yeah, he said he was in the store about an hour today and was here he thinks a week or two ago. Okay, that's about right. 185540 And he doesn't buy anything when he comes in. He just Yeah, he said he was looking in for a special wasn't the store for an hour. He came out and said, "Oh, what are you doing?" He's like, "Shopping." I'm like, "You didn't come out with anything." He goes, "Uh I was browsing." Mhm. Who's out there with him now? Uh recent up Sorry. Flanigan and uh Courtney. My bad. Am I good? Hey, if I was going to directly ask him anything I'm going to ask him that, but I want to look at the video first. A store employee digs through security footage before we get a chance to see the scope of what allegedly happened. The suspect appears to be adjusting his pants in one clip before displaying some alarming behavior. Here, man can be seen skulking around an aisle where a woman is browsing curtains. When he passes by, not once, not twice, but five times. Then, moments later, he turns down the aisle. And pretends to shop before he allegedly exposes himself and allegedly touches the woman. Let's rewind and watch as officers react to the footage. But he was literally right behind her just now. 304 1 Thompson Drive across the laundry aisle. So he's right there. 304 Cuz she didn't mention in her report that she was looking at the curtain. She bent over to pick something up and there he goes again. He goes and he even comes around the corner. Looks like he shoved something in his pants. Yeah, but I can't find that footage yet. I wrote it down here, but I can't find That's why I thought he would have came around with a hat or something. And then she bends over and he looks like he's literally right next to her. He's still over here. He just looks like he's walking back and forth. Mhm. See, he's standing right there. Yeah. Yeah. Why he's still hanging out right there around the corner. So he just keeps walking back and forth. But he doesn't cross over here yet. So he's standing right there. And this is the aisle in the report that she that the second instance happened. goes again. Yep. Yeah. Oh, maybe we do have it on footage. He's looking at her, but Yeah. Is that him right there? Yeah, he just circled back. Oh. Oh, yeah. All right. Um oh my god. Yeah, the uh what time is it time? Yeah, they were supposed to have somebody 1829 1826? 182619. Yeah, they were supposed to have somebody coming to that. They were over an hour behind. Yeah, I wrote it her at the time. Cuz they were going to have someone pull that thing. Poke her or what is it? Yeah, but he poked her. What? Pinched her or Hold on. Hold on. That was weird cuz we didn't see it. And then he I didn't see this before. Then there was a footage where he Hold on. In the corner he was shoving like something in his pants and we thought he was What? Okay, what? Yep. Was that his I can't tell. Can you zoom in on that? Well, do you mind rewinding? Could you slow that down just a little bit, please? I can show you him walking in and possibly leaving, but it's This is how it looks when we zoom in. We're going to need all that footage. I just don't know how to do that. Somebody's supposed to come here to do that, right? She was saying that someone from our agency was saying that they were coming down to get the photograph. supposed to come on Monday according to the original officer that was mentioned to help Yeah, we we can we can have it happen.
