911. Where's your emergency? Cops already here once. Um, my drunk wife is trying to steal my daughter's school property, uh, laptop and book bag. But it's not even mine. It's my daughter's school laptop. Well, so the school gave it to her. It's her school issued laptop. So, the school is given to your daughter. So, it's in your daughter's property. And anything your daughter owns is both you and her property cuz of her. She doesn't have legal custody of them at all. You guys are married. So she can steal my daughter's school laptop. Did she try to leave? She like she was going out the back door and that's communal property is what it's called. So I can grab her alcohol and go pour it out because it's not welcomed in my house. Yes. Okay. Let's not start a fight. No, because it's not allowed in my house. I am sober myself for a reason. She's been turning it off as she does. I figured I figured she would. Um, we've been locked in the bedroom based on her previous She knocked on the door. I don't know what she Yes, I've dealt with her before. Oh, and everyone hasn't during her previous She does not like that officer. I'm telling you that now. Just a heads up. That's so She didn't like me last time I talked to her either. Um Um, so I came I so she took a shower. Okay. She came back out. She started to leave after you guys left. Okay. Um came back in um running at the mouth. I came out of the bedroom to take my 4-year-old to the bathroom and that's when she started with the book bag and running out her mouth like, "You're not allowed out here. You're not allowed out here. Why are you even out here?" I recorded her at all. I got you. So, in regards to the property though, it is uh it's called communal property. You two are married. You two live together. You both have established residency here. Basically, everything in this house is communal property. So, not not saying do it tonight. If you were to move out, right, and come back and you want to grab stuff, if she says she stays here, the house is I know hypothetical speaking though. Or better, if she moves out, she comes back and she's like, "Hey, I want this, this, this, this is all mine. I'm taking it." But you say no. Maybe this is my keys. I don't know. And but you say no, this is mine. It would stay here and she would have to go to court because it's considered communal property. It's going to stay in the house. This is my house. Your your daughter's laptop. Everything for your daughter is communal property at this point. It's it's property. Can we go somewhere else tonight? No. I have my I don't speak to my mom because of her. I'm telling you, shut out. Thank you. [Applause] So, I was already here. She can go picture me. I'm a supervisor. You're the supervisor? Yeah. This I asked for supervisor three times. Okay. They refused. Okay. All three times. And then realized I was on camera. Okay. I don't need to be cussed out or anything like that. Okay. I'm not trying to cuss. Okay. Let's just talk like adults. Okay. Yeah, that's good. All right. Yeah. They refuse. That guy has been completely fine with me the entire night. And this hates me. Sorry. My mouth. Thank you. I apologize. This gentleman Williams hates me. Okay. What's um I mean, can you tell me kind of what I mean, a brief summary of what's going on tonight? That gentleman, Mr. Williams, hates me. Okay. He's hating me since Pendleton. Okay. He came onto the scene newly. Uh Alkins has been dealing with me for the entire time. Has had no trouble. Okay. I've had zero problem with him. He told me to come in here and sit my ass on his couch, sir. Okay. I did that. That I'm sorry. My wife. Yeah. Came out of that room and started the Mhm. I stayed on that couch just like I was told from that gentleman. Okay. And And both of you live here? Yes, sir. We I don't know. I I don't know that I've ever dealt with I don't think I've ever dealt with you, sir. I have a a home on Pendleton. Okay. Which is what you may be referencing. Mhm. But it has no utilities. Okay. We've been living here since uh September. All right. She has been trying to get me out of here since September. We just we don't get along. Mhm. Today we get along. Tomorrow we don't get along. She has the means to leave. I don't. I have zero money. I have zero car. I have nothing. So, if she wants somebody to leave, she needs to be the one to leave. Well, let me ask you let me ask you one question. I have I have literally stayed on this couch, sir. Okay. Let me ask you a question. I I mean, absolutely. And this is no way I understand that she's one someone to leave, right? Absolutely. And I sir, if I could leave, I would leave. Well, let me ask you this. I hate her. Listen, let me ask you this. I'm just trying to get you to a place where you where you'd be safe and have a place where it doesn't work. This place right here on this couch. And that's fine. I'm just bother throwing out suggestions. She She's the one that had to leave this room. Ma'am, come back. Hey, come back here and talk to me. I'm telling you though, she literally had to walk out of this bedroom, walk through here to get to me. I didn't have anything to do with her, sir. Okay. I laid on that couch and there's a goddamn camera. Okay. Ask her to watch it. She won't show you that to you. I'm not upset about anything. I just want my I have zero problem laying on this this couch. I have zero problem. She's my psycho. She's calling the police and I have nothing to do with it. And I'm not trying to go to jail. On Monday, they didn't listen to me. And do you see this? Mhm. She bunched me in the face. They wouldn't watch the goddamn camera. But that's from Monday. Okay. Did you make a report about that? Sir, I made a report. They were here. They took me to jail. Okay. I stayed in jail. Yeah, sir. I I don't know anything about that. So, I I understand. I stayed in jail and a and a a orange jumpsuit. Mhm. They had me stay there because I What did What did they charge you with? A minor misdemeanor. Hi. Shut the door cuz the dog know you. She She will run in, jump in. All right. Um she's been up and down running her mouth since they left the last time. So her saying she's stayed on the couch. She hasn't. I have video of it because there is a camera. Yeah. which is fine, whatever. Um, I came out of the bedroom to take my 4-year-old to the bathroom. Okay. And that's when she tried taking my daughter's school laptop. Okay. So, that's when I called whatever. Um, I've recorded it all. Um, I didn't punch her in the face. Didn't even touch her on Monday. Have it all on video. She got into a phys Oh, not a physical, but a verbal fight with cops. Was arrested. Never even touched her. She did sign a statement on Monday. All right. Where's the kid at? Is the kid in the same bedroom? I don't know. I don't know where the I didn't know there was a kid in the house. The bedroom is in my talking. Oh, I know. You're not coming. There's three children in my room. Sir, the police said I could go in there. Is that Listen, just go back there if No, sir. You told me I could go in here. Not in there with the kids. Come on. Go there. Sir, you told me I could go in my bedroom. Go, sir. Listen. Sir, you told me I could go in my bedroom. I'm telling you right now. Oh, now you're telling me I can't go in my bedroom? Go out. Go out there and stay on the couch. Okay. Okay. We want to We don't want to make this horse being around the kids. No, I sure don't. But I You told me I can go in my bedroom, sir. Separate bedroom. Please just stay here away from the kids. Oh, no. I can't be in my bedroom. Okay, I'm I'm going to be done here. Okay. I'm asking Sir, I can't be in my bedroom. No, stay out here on the couch like Officer Elkins asked you to. And we don't have Officer Elkins. He's He has enough sense. Is this offic? All right. Oh my god. Why are you still here? I hate you. We're done. Sir, yes, please. I want him off my property. We're leaving right now. Okay. Please just stay on the couch. Leave each other alone. All right. I just want Officer. We're leaving. We're all leaving. Okay. No. I just want Officer Elkins. He's leaving with us. Okay. Why? Because we're done here. No, you're not done here. She still won't let me in my bedroom. We're not We're not getting us. Okay. Please stay on the couch like Officer Elkins as you. I'm in my bedroom. That's cool. Oh my gosh. Okay. Leave the bedroom alone. Just go find my bedroom. I I listened to what you told me to do. I I was trying to be a better person. Melissa, listen to me. Sir, I'm not trying to be a better person now because I literally was trying to be a better person. Sir, a better person is going to be staying out here on their couch. So, you stay away from them so we don't have any problems. Okay, sir. She has no right to my house. Yes, she does. She She lives here just like you. Okay, then I should have my bedroom. What? Do you want to do that to the kids? I don't give a about the kids. They're not. So that's that's a problem. Okay. Yep. I don't give a They're not my That your mentality is a problem then. I don't give a about them all, sir. I want my bedroom. I don't give a I don't give a about her or her kids her. Okay. Well, then you're going to get arrested again. Okay, then take me to jail. Let's go. What are you going to tell me what you have to do for destroy the conduct? Okay, here you go. Arrest her. No, I was definitely not outside. I was in my house. Well, earlier you were, weren't you? No, I definitely have not been outside my house. So, that's a good try. Come on. No, I'm asking you. No. Nope. Definitely not. You can You can answer me. We just told you. Okay. Nope. You didn't answer me at all. I want answers. Melissa, come on. I was in my house. You No, you were out here earlier yelling and screaming. I was not out to you. You were just out here on a porch. I was not outside at all. You are you guys sleeping over there? Your car unlocked? No. I'll get it. Stop. Look at me. I swear to God I'll swear to God up. seat, please. Thank you. You get this thing off me. Why would you bother put this all the people? [Applause] I'm telling you. Is that a female? Nope. Okay, then I'm you. Nobody has a right to touch me. Come out. Nope. Not coming out till a female is here. Ma'am, come out of the car. Not coming out of the car until a female is here. I know my rights. Please come out of the car. It's not your rights. It is my rights. I don't want to put my hands on your stuff. Please feel put your rights on. Go ahead. Go ahead, sweetheart. Come on. Come on. Okay. Where's the female? Where's the female? I want a female officer right now. You are ruining my rights. I have a right. I have absolutely a right to be served by a female and I am not being served by a female. Take her down. Okay. Yeah, just take her down. She's coming. We'll just Where's the female officer? She's coming. I want her a female officer right now. No, I want I want female officer right now. Hey everyone, it's Trent, prior deputy sheriff, patrol sergeant and canine handler. And what we have here is a classic case of an adult that wants to act like a child. And obviously these officers have had to deal with this woman on prior occasions and have had to arrest her before and her behavior seems to be an ongoing issue. And this is one of those calls you're going to go to as a cop where you're going to have to lecture the two adults involved and say, "Hey, your relationship probably isn't working out. You should probably break up. one of you should probably move out at least for the sake of these kids, which this woman doesn't care about as she articulated herself. They're not even mine. F them. Which is a huge red flag. And in this situation also, you're going to want to notify Department of Family Services or Child Protective Services to let them know, hey, you should probably look into the living situation with these kids because clearly there is something going on that could potentially be affecting them mentally if nothing else. And it sounds like this woman had been lectured on a prior occasion by that one cop that she doesn't like and she was not having that whatsoever and she just wanted to go ahead and say, "I'm a nurse." And therefore, the cop was the one with the issue even though he was probably giving her some good advice. What was also pretty funny is the fact that she thought she had to permanently stay on that couch essentially or her spouse had to stay in the bedroom. And obviously that officer meant, "Hey, you guys should probably take some time away from each other. Maybe she can stay in the room, you can stay on the couch, but you're free to do whatever you want. You both live here. You're married. You do have communal property like that officer stated. And for this laptop issue, so that is owned property by the school. And if this woman were to take that laptop and run away with it or take off out of town or whatever, then the school more than likely would need to be the victim for that theft and then they would have to be the one to file that report. And the disorderly conduct charge is a very easy thing for these officers to articulate. It does not need to be in a public place. As long as two or more people are affected by her and her behavior, then that definitely qualifies. Also, the high risk and likelihood that there was going to be some sort of domestic issue if these cops were to leave. And they did say that on body cam. That is also going to be a factor as well. And in my opinion, she also could have been charged with child abuse, which does not need to just be physical. It can be mental as well. Any sustained fear, worry, or severe distress inflicted upon a child specifically by her behavior definitely qualifies under that law. And in my opinion, this call took way too long. Sometimes you're just going to recognize the signs as a cop that someone's not going to go with the program. they're not going to have it. They just want to be obnoxious and loud and yell and like I stated, they just were being overly accommodating in this situation and were trying to give her chance after chance after chance. And like she said, just go ahead and arrest me. So, looks like they made the right call in that decision. What was also pretty funny is her demanding to see a supervisor and this cop just said, "Nope." So, I don't know if people watch too much YouTube or whatever the case is, but just because you demand to see a supervisor, more than likely that is not going to go in your favor. And also, you do not have to get a supervisor as a cop. This cop said, "I don't have to get one." That is true. You do not. Just because somebody demands one, you do not need to call your sergeant over to deal with the situation. And 10 times out of 10, as long as you're doing what you're supposed to be as a cop, your supervisor, if they do show up, is going to side with you in your decision. And obviously, we see that in this situation where the supervisor was actually the one to order these cops to make that arrest. And that is going to be it for this one. See you guys in the next one. She was charged with disorderly conduct. [Music]
