You're under arrest. I can search your belongings and everything on your person. >> not. >> I just told you you're under arrest for obstruction. >> But I'm not legally. >> Are you a lawyer? Are you a police officer? >> In today's body cam video, we are encountering a woman who walks into a bar and finds herself a part of an underage drinking investigation. And immediately, she decided that the best legal strategy was to argue with every single person in sight. Now, I don't know where some people get their law degrees these days, but apparently, hers came from the comment section of Facebook because she spends the entire interaction confidently trying to convince the police that they're wrong, that all of the laws are fake, her arrest isn't even real, and none of this is actually happening. Unfortunately for her, reality's got other plans. >> On August 16th, 2024, officers responded to a bar for a call of a woman causing a disturbance. >> Do you want this? >> So, I'll let you hear her. >> You're going to go over there with her. I'll figure it out from there. It's the chick in the black? >> Yep. >> Perfect. Okay. So, what's the >> Yeah, she definitely showed me an ID that was not her face. I tried getting Casey's second opinion, but she didn't have her glasses on. No. So, she didn't realize it, but then I took the boy's ID and I was like, "Wait, your birthday's November of '03, so you're >> So, the drinks were sitting there, but she's like, "No." And she asked >> Like, I asked them twice for their cards. >> Okay. >> And then, yeah. >> You asked twice for an ID? >> Yeah. I was like making the drinks as they were getting them out. So, then I come back and I set them down and I'm like >> have that, so >> Yeah, I set them down and I'm like >> He's a kid, but he's got real short hair. >> Yeah. >> Which one's the kid? >> He might be in here because he's not 21. He might be in our back area right now cuz he just had some lady come in trying to get his ID. >> What are you doing here? >> Yeah, and that recognizes us from the hospital, wants to press charges. >> We all three were at the hospital. I don't recognize you. So, >> what are you What's What happened to press charges? >> Well, that's fine. That's 100% okay. So, you got a market So, I So, I had set the drinks down and I said, "Okay, like I need you guys' IDs." And they're like giving them to me and they're like taking the drinks at the same time. So, as I see that he was not 21 cuz he gave me that ID. I was like, "Oh, this is not" I was like trying to grab it and she grabbed my arm. >> Okay, so you were reaching for the ID. >> So, I'm reaching for the ID and she grabbed my arm and said, "No, no, no." And I was like, "No, you don't know, no." And she said, "He's drinking it already." I said, "No, absolutely not." I said, "No, absolutely not." And I know your ID was looked fake as well. So, I'll take So, then she took her drink, too. And we just dumped it. And then we said like you guys need >> So, you're primarily involved with all of this. >> Both of us. And we have cameras. >> Yeah, I know. You guys are pretty decent with all this. So, Are you wanting to press charges for a battery if we have that there? Obviously, there's more investigation. Huh? I have this dude, >> I mean, yeah, I will because that's unacceptable. >> So, take They're saying >> I want to say like he was out in our back area and he might still be out there. He's got a silver chain and he's got really short hair now. >> Yeah, he does not have that. >> Well, we I'll go out back with you. >> If I'm understanding all of this correctly, it's always really tough for me to follow like what's happening right in the beginning because as I tell you guys, I go into these blind. I have not watched this before. I don't even really know what it's about. I am fed these videos and I react to them, basically. So, man and woman enter a bar. Sounds like the start of a bad joke. We're about ready to find out. Her ID looked fake and his said that his birthday was November 2003. This body cam is from August 2024. So, if his ID was real, that means that he is about 3 months early from being able to drink at the bar cuz he's not yet 21. He's almost 21, not quite yet. And this waitress said that this female's ID looked fake. Didn't look like the same face at all. So, is she not 21 and he's not 21? Is she over 21 and she just had a lot of plastic surgery? Where are these people? Apparently, they flatter something. So, they might still be behind the building. Um I'm guessing that the police officers were able to locate them since we're watching this body cam right now. Yeah, the woman seemed to be pretty pissed that she couldn't get her drink cuz she scratched the waitress. I'm sure glad that this waitress is actually going to file charges on it because that's not right. >> Yeah, I appreciate it. Yeah, we're dealing with something else, too, so. >> I'm not doing anything. Like, here, I'm not making >> My worry is called here initially. >> Oh, I don't know. I didn't call y'all. >> Oh. >> Oh, yeah. >> Oh, I'll doubt they told us that you tried to use a fake ID or something. >> I have my ID in here. Do you need to? >> Yeah, verify who you are, yeah. >> Actually >> Yes, ma'am. Yes, I have to verify who you are. >> I don't know actually that that's a >> You want to go to jail? Cuz then you'll be obstructing >> go to jail because of that. >> Cuz you'll be obstructing a peace officer. >> Oh, but that's not actually >> Yeah, you go to jail. >> How that goes. That's how that goes. >> Oh, I'm sorry. How long you've been doing this job for? >> Actually >> How long you've been doing this job for? If you don't give me your ID, you can be arrested. So I have to verify your picture matches the name you gave me. >> That kind of is actually how it goes, you see, because the bar called the police on your ass and they want to know who you are so that they can do their investigation because you had the police called on you, honey. They didn't just like stroll up and they're like, "Hey, what's up? What's your name? Can I get your ID? What's going on? What are we drinking tonight?" No, you had the police called on you. So you need to identify yourself and cooperate because if you don't, you will get an obstructing charge. This is not difficult to understand. She drunk already. She doesn't look drunk, but she does look like she's got some sass. >> Cuz if you give me a fake name, then that's also a different source. So let's just verify you didn't give a fake name. >> Go ahead. >> So I'm going to ask you what I'm going to ask you one more time. I'm going to ask you one more time. I I need to see your ID or you're going to jail for obstruction. Yes, you are. You want to go to jail? You really going >> going to go to jail because that's not how that works. >> Finally, we see some action taking place right on the money. She's just like, "Mhm, no." And he's just like, "All right then, put your hands behind your back." This is the kind of proactive behavior I like to see in law enforcement. You're not going to go back and forth with her over and over again. Are you going to give your ID? No. Are you going to give your ID? No. They just do it. They just handcuffed her because she said no. That's awesome. What I don't understand is why people think that they can win against the police just by digging their heels in. You have clearly been told if you don't comply, give your identification, not give us a fake name, we need to know who you are. If you don't do this, you're going to get hauled in because you are obstructing an investigation. Now, okay, well, then you're going to go to jail. You're going to get hauled in. This is not hard to understand. >> I don't give you permission to do that. >> You're under arrest. I can search your belongings and everything on your person. >> But I'm not. >> I just told you you're under arrest for obstruction. >> But I'm not legally. >> Are you a lawyer? Are you a police officer? >> Oh, what do you What do you practice? >> You'll find out. >> Who's your buddy at? >> I don't have a buddy. >> They said you were drinking with this guy getting drunk on the streets, too. >> I don't know who that is. >> What's the name she gave? Amanda Brink. >> Hurry up. >> So, this isn't That's not even your real name. So, yeah, that's another charge, so Yeah, I guess so. >> It's not though. >> Seriously? Okay, so she says that she's in law. They're going to find out what kind of law. Okay. And apparently, uh the her name is not the name that she gave or it's not the name on her ID, which that means that that is a fake ID. Honey, if you're practicing law or you're going to school to practice law, you're going to need to learn a thing or two because uh that's not good. >> I'm pretty honest. >> Be honest. >> It is, you know. >> No, it's not. >> When we tell you to give us your name, you're supposed to give us your name. She gave us a fake name. >> Ooh. >> And Jordan Sheik. >> Bummer. >> Bullying in high school. Oh, so now you're just picking on me just cuz you're under arrest. That's funny. >> Done in in high school, weren't you, and that's why you're doing this now? >> Sure. We could go with that. >> Ooh. >> Yeah, deflection is great. I did just fine in I did just fine in life. I'm doing okay. I'm not in handcuffs for once, so >> Yeah. >> I won't be for long. >> You will, but okay. >> No, I won't. I'm good. Okay. >> Is James still talking to you, the bartender? >> Yeah. >> I have a hip battery as well. >> Battery? Okay, cool. Camera? >> video >> Frank doing it? >> We're going for a ride or what? >> You will be. I'd advise you on all your charges before we just take you home, you know. >> What am I charged with? >> Obstruction of peace officer, obstruction of identification. >> Explain. >> Cuz you gave us a fake name. And you didn't provide your identification. >> I have actually >> Do you want me to print out the statutes for you at the station? >> I'll print it out for you. >> and your staff officers. >> Staff officers? What's a staff officer? My You just want my name? >> Oh, I know your name. >> Can I put my name on it? Yeah. I don't know staff What's a staff officer? >> Okay. You can talk to Sergeant Paleto when >> I'll You're not military. >> Yeah, I am. I was military. I was in the army. I've never heard of a staff officer. Yeah, there's no such thing as a staff officer. >> Listen to her try to sound like she knows something. >> [laughter] >> I've never heard of a staff officer. >> Well, then she referred to the military. She mixed it up, the military and law enforcement. She just trying to sound smart. She's just repeating [ __ ] she saw on TV. Man, she really doesn't seem very worried, does she? She is so overly confident that she's not legally under [laughter] arrest. Not legally under arrest. THIS ISN'T REAL. >> [laughter] >> SHE'S GOING TO FEEL SO STUPID TOMORROW. >> [clears throat] >> OH, when did I get out? November 21st. Poor baby. I think she's got hair in her face and she can't get it off because her hands are handcuffed BEHIND HER BACK. >> [snorts] >> THAT WOULD be honestly and truly, if I was to ever be handcuffed by a police officer >> [laughter] >> If I was to ever be handcuffed by a police officer and have my hands behind my back, that would be the most annoying part. Because you guys always see me messing with my hair, it's cuz I get all these little ones that like fly into my face and I'm I that would be so annoying. I'd be like, "Please, officers, I promise to comply. Handcuff me in the front so that I can at least like, you know, get my wispies out of my face because that shit's annoying. So, as much as I want to make fun of her >> [laughter] >> as much as I want to make fun of her for standing there like I get it. I relate. I'd probably be the [laughter] same exact way. >> Here is my last day in the army. I was a sergeant. >> Yeah, that means nothing. >> Well, you said I wasn't in the military and I wanted to prove it to you that I was. So, there we are. And apparently you know every single answer. >> I loved you in Christmas Story, by the way. >> Christmas Story? Mhm. The little Peter Billingsley? Red Ryder BB gun? know, know what character you're referring to. >> Yeah, that's who. Why? I'm going. I'm still standing here. >> Cuz you're arrested. >> No, thank you, Captain. Um why am I still standing here? >> Cuz they're still reviewing reviewing some further charges. I'd like to advise you of those charges before we actually take you. >> Really? Can you advise me of them now? >> I told you the obstructing ID and the obstruction of peace officer. >> Actually not legal. Did you know that? >> I don't know I don't know where you're getting your information from. >> information, you'll know that. >> I've arrested somebody for obstructing. >> Happy birthday to you. >> It's real. I'm just telling you it's real. >> It's also felonies. >> You're amazing. Pirates of the Caribbean. Love you. So much. Captain Jack. >> Orlando Bloom or Sparrow? >> Do the thing. >> What thing? Uh there's my sergeant there. He's You can >> Does she think that it's insulting for her to be referring to these police officers as um actors that she's seen in movies? Um so one officer looks like Ralphy from a Christmas Story, which was a cute kid, not a bad looking adult. And now she's referring to this other guy as uh Pirates of the Caribbean. She's talking about Orlando Bloom. She's talking about Johnny Depp. Who Who is Who is this police officer? She really thinks that that's an insult? She thinks she's insulting them by referring to them as looking like actors? This is the weirdest confrontation I've ever seen. >> [laughter] >> You can talk to me. >> I don't know. Nobody's ever said that. >> Well, come on. Do the thing. You know, the [ __ ] >> I never watched those movies. >> Okay. Who is there? >> It's our private joke. >> Gentleman came up and talked to me trying to get what was going on at scene over there, and now I'm in handcuffs cuz they couldn't find who they wanted to find over there. Where's that homie Where's the homie with the ID right there? Nowhere to be found, baby face. >> Homie? What What talking about? >> Where's that guy? >> This guy? >> The guy that you [ __ ] >> This is >> Well, that's me. >> This is huge. >> No, I'm talking about the other guy. >> I have no idea what you're talking about. We talked to you, not the bartender, and they told us to go to you because you were the person over there. So, that's why. >> Cuz what I was What was I doing over there? >> Apparently, you gave him a fake ID or something. I'm I'm not too sure. >> But still, my actual ID is on your chest. >> But still, if you hinder our investigation, then you will then >> Hinder our investigation? >> Mhm, cuz >> Super fun. Love this right now. >> I don't know why you have to make it so hard. >> Oh, those are Those guys are [ __ ] >> You can just Give us your real name or give us your ID, and then you wouldn't be in this situation. I didn't even hear what's going on. >> Cuz you don't know that wasn't my real name when I gave it to you? Why would I give it to you? >> Hm? >> Why would I give it to you? >> Why? I'm trying >> You don't know that wasn't my real name. >> You got to verify it. That would have That would have been pretty easy. >> Really? Would it have been? >> I think so. >> Yeah, cuz I've had issues with [ __ ] cops before. >> Okay, but again, we were not the cops. >> White men that were not, you know, popular in high school or whatever, trying to [ __ ] >> Cool. We're not going back to high school stuff, huh? >> This guy is [ __ ] what? 5'9? >> 5'9. >> 5'9, baby face. Oh, 5'10? Oh, 5'10. See? That's what men who aren't [ __ ] say. Oh, 5'10. [ __ ] you, by the way, baby face. >> I've never heard anything >> I take that as a compliment. >> Man, she really likes those backhanded compliment insults, doesn't she? >> [laughter] >> She keeps calling him baby face, talking about how they probably weren't [ __ ] in high school. Woo, they're scared of her. >> [laughter] >> Watch your step. >> I got it. Oh, wait. Um Oh, wait. Nope, never mind. I have it in my purse. Sorry. >> They have a pizza for us, too, I think, when we're done, so. >> Surprise. >> Which one, Alex? >> This one right here. >> All right. >> Okay. You're kind of hot, actually. >> The woman was charged with obstructing [music] identification and taken to jail. >> The very end there, did she say, "You're kind of hot, actually"? Hold on. I got to see. >> You're kind of hot, actually. >> [laughter] >> She did. "He's kind of hot, actually." WHAT WAS SHE THINKING THAT FLIRTING was going to get her out of this? I CAN'T TELL IF SHE'S HAD ANY ALCOHOL OR NOT, or if this is just her personality. But, hey, you know what? If confidence alone could beat criminal charges, she'd be undefeated.
