So then they just start swinging and we start fighting and then I'm on the ground, they're on the ground, we're fighting and then y'all come up, whoever comes up who were trying to separate and then that was that. So, if she's the victim, then why were they over there? >> Who's the victim? >> If she's the victim, >> her car was parked over there. >> Because when I came what? Next to them? >> Yeah, her car was she was pulling out when we pulled up. >> When we got here, they were all fighting right next to that black vehicle in the back. >> Yeah. Her her car was right here next to us. >> So, who shook a poo? That's what I'm trying to figure out. Who's aggressive? >> Oh, they followed her here. >> So, they followed her here. >> They Yeah, black car. They followed her here. Yeah, >> because they they're alleging that they they tried to run into her. >> She was like, "I'm sorry. I didn't see y'all." They blew the horn, kept following her, blowing the horn. The girl with a shaved head punch her first. >> She right here first, though. She robbed her first. >> Okay. She hit here. Right here first. And why was their vehicle here? And um their vehicles over here. That's what I'm trying to get at. >> What do you It's really suspect. Yes. >> That car was here. >> Park here and she parked right here next to her. >> Okay. So then how did she get over to the other side? >> I don't know. This one. That's why I asked her. I did. I asked her. She told me that the other primary res >> officers are having a difficult time getting the story straight due to both parties claiming they were followed and attacked by the other with the information they obtained from the young sister who witnessed everything as well as observing Raven's aggressive behavior as she was the only one who wouldn't calm down. They believe the most likely story is that Raven and her friend Desiree initiated the conflict. Officers now discuss their charges. So, she got battery, disorderly conduct, and I resisted and I'll be here and and a simple battery. And a single battery. So, she's going to have four charges. In the front or something? >> No, that can't happen. Is this yours? >> Yes. Can I please? >> No, you're not making any phone calls. >> Please. Can I please my car? >> Get your foot in there. Are you going to get a charge? Want >> to step out? Go >> ahead. Have a seat. Get your foot out. Thank you. You got a bag. >> All right. You first. >> Hold on a second. All right. >> Ready? >> Yeah. >> All right. >> Let's come back here. >> We're actually trying to find uh shots heard and we're in the neighborhood. >> Oh. And when this came out, >> did did you guys find >> No. These inner cities of America, we don't get clean calls with great endings. We get fist flying, a lot of emotion, and suspects who don't care about your badge or your commands. Have you ever walked into a situation and realized that nobody wants peace? Because that's what it feels like when you pull up on a group fight in the middle of a parking lot and everybody's claiming that they're the victim. I remember that rookie feeling of trying to pull a guy off of a SEPTA driver after you tried to attack them right in front of me. It was shock and disbelief. And somehow I always ended up being solo at these calls, waiting for backup. And I've had many younger people show interest in being a cop and ask me a lot of questions. And I try to give them as much information that I can and point them in the right direction cuz it's difficult to tell if someone has what it takes to be a cop. Because when you put that badge on, sooner or later, it will expose who you really are and test you in ways you never thought possible. In these neighborhoods, when you're in uniform, you're walking into people's worst moments, expecting to fix a situation with calm words. But when words fail, and they often do with your training and your instincts that decide if you walk out in one piece, cops are expected to keep everything together in the middle of madness. Be measured while being swung at, calm while being cursed out and righteous even when no one else is. So ask yourself, how long could you be around this type of environment before it changed you? >> Raven was charged with simple battery, resisting without violence and disorderly conduct. Her friend Desiree was charged with simple battery, resisting without violence, disorderly conduct, and battery on a law enforcement officer. They are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of
Danger Zone
