Turn the bike off. Turn the bike off. Tangle 311050 sample in university. It's a motorcycle obstructed tag. I got the bike stopped. Hey, why you driving like that? Going >> like what? >> Weaving in traffic. Going 75 miles an hour. 75. >> Where were you going then? >> No, you were not. I'll take your license, registration, insurance. >> Officer Charnie with Coral Springs Police. That's the reason for the stop. Reckless driving. My name is Officer Charnie with Coral Springs Police. The reason for the stop is because you're reckless driving. >> Is the address on your license still current? Yes, sir. >> Thank you. Do you uh just take your helmet off so I can ID you? >> Do you have registration, sir? >> Yeah. Um yeah, but it's in my car. >> Not here. >> No, I had to I was registering for a class and I needed >> Okay. >> resour. Do you have insurance or you don't have insurance on the bike? >> Okay. So, we stopped the motorcycle driver because he was going 75 mph in a 40. We even get in out of traffic. Um, just going highway speeds in the city, it's just way too dangerous, especially on a motorcycle. One wrong move and he's done. He's he's going to get he's going to either fall off his bike and hurt himself or, you know, god forbid he's going to deal with some like life-threatening situations or, you know, even deal with fatalities. This happens all the time, unfortunately, in South Florida. People on motorcycles just drive recklessly and carelessly and they get in serious accidents and next thing you know there's a really bad accident and we don't want to knock on doors letting people know their loved one has passed away due to a vehicle accident. So to avoid stuff like this um I am going to write him two citations. One's for speeding, the other one's for careless driving, he's going to have a mandatory court appearance because he's going 30 mi over the posted speed limit and he'll have to talk to a judge and and explain to the judge why he was going so fast. Michigan. Two citations, okay? One's for the speeding, the other one's for careless driving. Now, because you're going 30 miles over the posted speed limit, it is a mandatory um court appearance. You'll see right here it says to be set, that means Broward County is going to send you a letter in the mail to your address in Lauder Hill letting you know when your court date is. You can either represent yourself in court or you can talk to a traffic attorney and hire one and then you could pay them to represent you on your behalf. Because it's mandatory, you have to sign here. You're not admitting guilt by signing. You're just promising to take care of the uh the tickets. You're going to sign right here. All right. Look, please slow down. I don't want to see you get hurt, >> okay? I don't want to knock on your loved ones door letting them know that you're not going to be coming home tonight because you're involved in an accident and you lost your life driving like that. >> Okay, take care. Yes, sir. >> All right. So, uh I forgot to mention this last stop. If you're 21 years of age or older and you have a motorcycle and you have a helmet on, you don't need to carry any type of insurance. So, that's why I asked that guy if he had insurance because he was over 21 with a helmet. He doesn't need to have any type of uh vehicle insurance. So if something does happen though, he's responsible for covering whatever type of damages he cause with property or medical. So if you're wondering why I asked that question, that's why. >> Tinted windshield. >> Yeah. 57 58 59 60 61 >> Tango 3150 11200 block sample. on here. >> Hey, put your back window down for me. Thank you. How you doing? Hey, Officer Charie with Coral Springs Police 104. The reason why I pulled you over is cuz you're weaving out of traffic, following cars too closely, you're going 61 and a 40. You got to slow it down. Do you have your license on you? Registration insurance? >> Yeah. >> Is this your car? >> Yeah. >> Okay. You got the tints extremely dark. >> You got your windshield. Are you a private investigator or no? >> No. >> Do you have the sunscreen exemption form for the tints or No, >> I don't know how to do that. >> You don't know how to do that? Okay. >> How do you do that? There's a form you fill out with the state. If you need uh the tints for some type of medical reason, you have a doctor or physician sign off on the paperwork. The paperwork goes to Tallahassee for review. And if they approve it, they'll let you know that you're exempt from all tint laws. But until then, you can't have the tints unless you have that or you're a private investigator of your uh license in Florida. Where you heading to right now? >> Me going home and going home. >> All right. Do you have the registration? >> We are on here. >> You what? Perfect. Give me one sec. I'll be right back. Okay. Driver's bringing his friends home. He's going 61 and a 40. Weaving in and out of traffic, following cars too closely. He didn't realize I was in an unmarked police car. His windshield tint is blacked out to the point where I can't even see inside until all the windows went down. Uh there's three people in the vehicle. So, um we're going to check his license, run it. We'll We have history of this vehicle. Dispatch just told me we've stopped this vehicle or we've been out with this vehicle about 14 times. Now, that doesn't mean we've stopped it on traffic stops 14 times. It could, but it could be also things like suspicious vehicle calls or maybe he was involved in some type of domestic or any any type of call. It could just show history. So, that's part of the reason why we have to run the tag, run the license of the driver, make sure he's not wanted for anything. We'll go from there. All right. So, I'm issuing two citations. One's for speeding, the other one's for the windshield tint. Now, it could be giving you more tickets. You have the tints on on the windows on the sides here. You also have the modified exhaust. You can't have the modified exhaust. >> What's up? >> I don't got >> It sounds like you got something. >> Nothing there. >> Huh? >> This is my mic. >> That's what I'm saying. It's modified though. It was It wasn't from the factory for a Nissan like that. Anyway, I could have gave you another one for careless driving. I'm not doing that either. So, you just getting the two. One's a moving violation. The speed. The windshield is a equipment violation. No points with that. So, as far as the speed goes, three options, paying it, traffic, school, traffic, court, the tint, you can pay it or you can go to you can get it removed, go to court, and you can show the judge that or if you just want to contest the ticket and say this isn't illegal, you're more than welcome to do that, too. All right. Please slow down. It's 40. All right. Take care. >> What's that? >> Tik Tok. >> Yeah, I do the Tik Tok stuff. Yeah, guys, be safe. It's not modified. [Music] [Music] Tangle 315 1900 block riverside black bends onetime traffic. >> Hello. >> The problem is you were going 20 over the speed limit. Ma'am, I'm officer TR. >> You're what? I'm >> pooping in my seat. >> You're pooping in your seat? >> Yes, I am. >> Okay. All right. Do you have your license on you? should check out. [Music] >> Can you hold it for like in a minute? >> All right. >> I'll be right back. I'll be right back. Uh we just pulled over this older lady. Um she said that she's actively pooping her pants. So we're going to get her out of here with a warning. Her license is good. All right, ma'am. You're good to go. Okay. Please slow down. Take care. Yeah, take care. >> Hey, how you doing? Officer Tony with Coral Springs Police. The reason for the stop is because on University Drive, you hit a top speed of 67, then you slow down to around 60. You got to slow it down. Okay. Do you have your license? >> Is there a reason for the speed or no? >> Um, I was trying to hurry up and get to the her kind of crunching on time. >> All right. Just be careful. I mean, 27 over is way too fast. The >> food's not going to >> I do have my license. >> Yeah, I'll take that. Registration insurance as well, please. >> Um, I do not have my insurance on me right now. It's actually at the house. >> Do you have proof on your phone? >> Yeah, that's fine. As long as you show some type of proof through your phone, that's okay. Do you live in Kentucky still? >> No, I actually moved here. >> Okay. How long ago did you move? >> Months. >> All right. Are you working on getting your Florida license? >> I'm not sure if moving back and forth. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> But I have a confirmation that >> All right. What's your current address? >> I'll be right back for the registration insurance. If you find it, just please stay seated. Don't get out of the car. All right. So, we pulled this driver over for going 67 miles an hour on a 40 mph road. Um, I stop him. We already checked his license. It's valid. He's got a Kentucky license. He also does have a Florida license, but it's expired. So, he is allowed to drive in Florida with his Kentucky license, especially with him being back and forth with addresses due to his work. However, when I run his license, he's been stopped numerous times, all for similar situations. I asked him if his insurance if he had insurance. He said he was looking for it. I had to go back up to the vehicle and after I told him just to be honest and tell me if he actually had insurance or not. He then told me the truth and said, "No, I don't have insurance right now." Which is what he should have said off the the beginning. But anyway, after looking at his license, like I told you guys, it looks like there's numerous citations he received. 62 miles an hour uh almost at the same location on University Drive in the past. no proof of insurance, fail failure to carry registration. He also got a speeding ticket last year in December for going 72 miles an hour on Sample Road. So, with that being said, I'm going to write him two citations. Um, one for 67 and a 40, and the other one's going to be for no proof of insurance. So, the reason why um speed is so important to enforce is because I want you to picture like a dumbbell or a 45 lb plate for people who go to the gym. Now, just picture it being stationary on the floor. It's stationary. It's not going to do anything. It can't hurt someone. But imagine if that dumbbell or that plate is going 67 miles an hour towards someone at a high rate of speed. And that's only 45 pounds for the plate, the dumbbell, whatever whatever whatever weight you guys have in your mind. Imagine that dumbbell now or that plate turning into a 3600lb vehicle going 67 miles per hour. If that dumbbell makes you cringe, cuz it should, because that's a lot of weight, now you have a giant vehicle coming your way going that fast, that should make you feel very uncomfortable. So, that's the reason why we're out here enforcing. Obviously, if a speeding vehicle is going towards someone and they hit a person or they hit a vehicle, that's going to cause serious bodily injury or a fatality. And that's what we're trying to avoid out here. We're trying to make the city a safer place as well as the county, which in return goes to a safer community for everybody. Okay. So, I'm issuing two citations. One of them is for speeding. The other one's for no proof of insurance. Now, how it works is the speeding, you have three options. It's in the pink paperwork paying it. Traffic school, traffic court. >> The insurance, if you do get your car insured within the next 30 days and you show the clerk of court the proof of insurance, that ticket will get dismissed. It'll be a $10 like fix it. All right? But until then, until the car is uh insured, you're no longer allowed to drive. So, you got to leave it here and walk home. Or you can call your insurance company and get it insured or you can call a tow truck and have it towed home. I know you're right down the street from your house, but again, there's no insurance. It's not my house. That's what I'm saying. Like my house is >> So I know your mom's house. >> No, like like I literally don't live in this area, right? Like this area, >> right? But you're not far from your house. That's what I'm trying to get at. You're you're in the city. You're just not in the neighborhood. See what I'm saying? You're not far away from your house. You live in Coral Springs, right? That's what you said. >> I mean, that's where I'm living now. >> Yeah, that's what I'm saying. So don't drive home. You have to park it. call an insurance broker or insurance company or you can tow the car home. Those are your three options. If you >> Okay, I'm just telling you if you drive this vehicle, I'm gonna stop you again and I'm gonna write you a ticket. I'm going to tow the car. So, moving forward, >> I don't I don't understand. Like, I can't do either or. >> Then you have to walk home. If you can't afford insurance, you can't drive. >> I don't get paid until Friday. So, that's >> again, if you cannot afford insurance, you are not allowed to drive on a public roadway. That's the law. Those are the rules. You have to abide the law. Tangle 3 once in 50 3200 block island Margate. >> Hi, Officer Charnie with Cole Springs Police. The reason for the stop is you hit 57 on 35 on Rock Island. You got to slow it down. You got two kids in the back. >> Three. >> Three kids in the back. >> I got I didn't realize. I'm so sorry. >> Do you have your license on you, ma'am? Registration insurance. [Music] Thank you. Is the address on your license current? >> No. >> Okay. >> Did you update it yet or no? >> All right. Just make sure you do that. You got to do it within 30 days of moving. What's the new address, ma'am? I'll be right back. Uh you look for that. If you find it, just please stay seated. Okay. So, we pulled this driver over on Rock Island Road, which is a roadway in Coral Springs where the speed limit is 35. She was going 57. And while she's going 57, there's three children in the backseat of the car. So, this is where like officer discretion comes into play. You're looking at what we call the totality of the circumstances where you're looking at total facts of the case. And this is where your discretion comes into play. Do I give them a ticket? Do I give them a warning? Do I give them well, do I give them a written warning or do I give them verbal warning? this something like this with me 22 over the speed limit with three children in the car on a residential roadway cuz Rock Island surrounds like neighborhoods 104 it's just too fast. So I am going to write her a ticket for the speed and we're uh she does have a valve license and she's not wanted for anything. I just checked with our dispatch center. Found it. The registration. >> This is a mother's car. >> Okay. And the insurance. Did you find that or no? >> No, I don't have my insurance. >> All right. You got to find >> Say it again. >> I left it at my cuz my car was small. I thought I changed it and put it in there. >> All right. So, you got to carry the proof of insurance with you. I know it's your mom's car, but you're in charge of the vehicle cuz you're driving it. So, you got to make sure everything's insured, registered, and all that good stuff. Um, all right. I am issuing a citation for the speed. You have three options. Paying it, traffic school, or traffic court. And you have 30 days to comply. All right. Your license is here. You're free to go. Please drive safe. It's 40 on this road. How much miles is it? >> The speed limit here is 35. You were going 57, >> but it says 540 >> on this side because now you're in the city of Margate. In the city of Coral Springs, it's 35. >> So, you're allowed to come over in Coral Springs. >> Well, the violation occurred in Coral Springs. We're in Margate now, but we have countywide jurisdiction for traffic if that's your question. Yeah, we have countywide jurisdiction. I could pull some gn >> You got to pay attention, man. up. I understand that, but like I mean I mean I didn't mean to like I normally I don't even want like speed like really. >> All right, man. I don't know what else to tell you. I I I don't I wrote you a ticket for it. Okay. Be be well. Take care. >> 61 60 behind us. 70. It says pickup truck. 72. It's this pickup truck right here. [Music] Tango 3150 state road 7 and 31st in Margate. Florida tag black Chevy pickup. Looks like one time traffic. Hey, Officer Charnie with Cole Springs Police. I stopped you cuz you hit 72 on a 45. Is everything okay? >> All right. Do you have your insurance with that? >> Uh, insurance is here. >> Is the address on your license current? >> Yes. >> Okay. Registration checks out. Tangle 3192. >> You need what the deck page the page? >> Just your insurance card. The >> the ID card. >> Yeah. Okay, very good. Give me a sec. I'll be right back. Okay, thank you. So, we stopped this driver for going 72 and a 45. There was actually a car in front of him going 66, which was going to be the car that I was originally going to stop. And then I saw this guy coming up on behind me at a high rate of speed. So, I chose this one instead. There's a Coral Springs Police Department unit already up there. And even though there's a unit up there with red and blue lights, he continued to still go 72 mph on a 45. State Road 7 is one of those roads where we get a lot of complaints with people driving recklessly. Um it's the same road that that white Camaro was on a few weeks ago on traffic Thursdays where he was going 80 something miles an hour or 80, I don't remember exactly what it was. Anyway, um this is why we're out here. Tons of complaints, tons of people disregarding the speed limit and people driving recklessly out here. So, we'll check his license out with the assistance of Coral Springs Police Department Dispatch Center. By the way, they do this dispatch series called 911 Inside the Center. If you haven't already watched it yet, I'm telling you guys now, it is fantastic. The series, the editing, um the education, the entertainment, how it's all filmed, it's amazing. So, if you have time, click this link right here and you guys can watch an episode of that. I'm You won't regret it. Trust me. All right. Here's your license. I am issuing a citation for the speed. Your options are on the pink paper. Please slow down. It's 45. Okay. Take care, guys. Good night. [Music]
