hi I'm lieutenant and dive team member Ryan Mason and I'm going to give you a few tips on how to get out of a sinking vehicle the first thing you're going to want to do when your vehicle enters the water is roll down the windows and then take off your seat belt if you are unable to do either of those I have a few tools that I will show you to assist with the process the first tool we're going to be using is the rescue me tool with the rescue me tool you're going to be placing it in the corner of the window you're going to push hard and push firm it'll deploy the tool the grass will shatter and you'll push out the window the other part of this tool is a seat belt cutter you're going to utilize the knife pulling slight tension on the seat belt and you're going to pull down the second tool we're going to be using today is the center punch it's going to work on the same concept you're going to place it in the corner lower corner of the glass with this one you're going to pull back on the spring holding it tight up against the window to pulling it shattering the glass and also pushing all the way through as a last-ditch effort you can wait till your vehicle fully submerges into the water which will equalize the pressure of the vehicle making the door easier to open
