[applause] >> A little over a month ago, LJ's mom, Megan, and his dad, Louis, reached out to me. Explaining the situation for LJ. And it was very heartwarming, very moving. And they advised of me of how much he appreciates law enforcement and public safety and in the fire department, and was asking if there's anything we could do. After having multiple conversations, realizing his support for public safety and what it means for him, um and and the parks and rec and how he loves tractors, um I got with our community involvement unit and as anybody knows, we get with our community involvement unit and we cut them loose, they're going to plan something big. And and this was today. >> [cheering] [applause] [cheering] [applause] >> It was all about LJ, getting him in here, swearing him in, giving a parade. And at the end of the day, we wanted him to know we support him as he supports us. He's got a surgery coming up at the end of the month. We want him to go up there knowing he's got all of this behind him, fully supporting him, and wishing for nothing but the best.
