hi I'm driver engineer Tommy Baner and welcome to what's on the truck [Music] Tuesdays So today we're going to be talking about our thermal imaging camera this is assigned to all of our officers that are in charge either on the engine apparatus or the rescue apparatus this allows us to see in smoked out conditions in fires so that when we can't see we have something to guide us throughout a house a structure a building wherever we need to go it turns on very easily and has multiple different modes for us to to toggle through to perform the tasks that we need it has a mode specifically for looking for victims so if we're in a blackedout environment victims are more visible so that we can hopefully get them out of the structure and get them the help that they need as soon as possible it Clips onto our gear and works outward so that we can always look through our camera and see what's in front of us
