texting. Yeah. Tango 31 1050 core region roll pump. Hi, I'm Officer Charnie with the Coral Springs Police. The reason for the stop is because you have no seat belt on and you're also texting and driving. All right. Do you have your license on your registration insurance? Do you still live on Turtle Run? I don't. Okay, let me get that one second. Did you update your license yet or no? So, make sure you do that. You have 30 days to do it. Okay. Insurance is on my phone. No problem. I'll be right back while you work on that. Okay. This is good. So, I'll leave this with you. You're welcome. So, around America right now, it's click it or ticket. So, what that means is throughout all the states, law enforcement officers are focusing on enforcing seat belt law. Florida, it's a primary uh offense, meaning that you can get pulled over just with the seat belt alone. Other states, seat belts are considered like secondary offenses. So, you can't get stopped by police officers for just not wearing your seat belt. You have to be doing something else. Um, nevertheless, seat belts work in conjunction with other things in the vehicle for people's safety. It's like a team. There's team aspects. Your friends are on your team. If your friends are doing the job right, the team functions well. Now, if somebody on the team is not doing their job right, that's when the team fall aparts. So, my whole point of this is seat belts, airbags, and collision areas, impact areas on vehicles all work together. if a wreck were to occur for the drivers and passenger safety. So, with that being said, if a driver is not wearing their seat belt, that's one of the factors that are now out of the equation. That's where something's going to get dropped. If you get into a wreck and you have no belt on, you have nothing to secure you. So, you're either going to go into your steering wheel column, you're going to go through the windshield possibly, or if it's a rollover, you're going to get tossed all around your car like a rag doll. If the vehicle gets flipped, you're gonna flip as well. You're going to get hurt. You might get trapped. It's all these factors that that play with the seat belt. Now, if you have your seatelt on, you and you get into an accident, the seatelt's going to catch you. The airbag is going to cushion you and the collision zones are going to take in that energy because the energy has to go somewhere. Metal crumbles instead of the person crumbling. Remember, there's a lot of energy in moving vehicles. So, when you're going down the road at a certain speed and you suddenly come to a stop, that energy has to go somewhere. And I'd rather the energy go into a car and the car get destroyed versus that energy going into a person and the person getting destroyed. If I'm not trying to scare you, I'm I just want you guys to realize these things, these tools that are engineered by very smart people are life-saving tools and pieces of equipment. Did you find it? Yeah. Here. Okay, very good. Sorry, sir. That's okay. Look, it is a clicker or ticket right now. So, throughout America, cops are cracking down on seat belts. I'm sorry about that. As far as the texting and driving, it's a written warning. But the seat belt, I'm giving you a citation for it. There's no points with it. Meaning that if you pay it, you're not accepting points. You're just paying it. You're done. Okay? You can pay it or if you'd like to, you can go to court. All right? Whichever option you choose, you have 30 days. All right? Please wear the seat belt. All right? Take care. Tango 311050 Sample University just east of correction just west of Hi, I'm officer Charnie with Coal Springs Police. The reason for the stop is because you're not wearing your seatelt. All right. Um and you were on your phone in traffic. Did you I'm not on my phone. Huh? I'm not on my phone. You were on your phone at in traffic? No. No, I wasn't. You got the wrong person. I wasn't on my phone. I was looking right at you. What you talking about? Wrong person. Phone. I go to court. I was I was sitting right here. Okay. It was talking about the next yard we going to. All right. That's fine. On my phone. Do you have your license on your registration insurance? I still do have everything. Thank you. It is clicker to take a month right now. So, cops all over America cracking down on seat belts. Okay. Yeah, but I I was on my phone, though. Okay. License. I got insurance everything. Sure. Do you live in Deerfield still? Yes, sir. All right. Yeah, I'll see that, please. Registration. I got my service to make sure I got my phone. Tango 31292 registration for the trailer. There we go. All right. I got my insurance on my phone. Tango 312. The insurance. Do you have the insurance? Um, do you have the registration for the F-150 as well? Yeah, everything should be in here. This guy's a got nothing that's better dude than Mr. working man. I mean I'm working too. I know but I'm not doing anything. You stalking man out of busting his ass. You were not wearing your seatelt. Okay. And you're on your cell phone. It's amazing. I was not on my cell phone. Okay. I was not on my cell. Well, it's on camera. So I should go to court. I was on my phone. I'm just sorry you got nothing else better to do. So I work with me. Well, I'm in the traffic unit. So this is what I do. I enforce traffic law. Understand? But I was not on my phone though. Okay. Okay. For the registration, uh, might have to look in there, man, cuz I'm not the registration. I got that cuz I just paid the insurance on it. So come underneath this stuff. So you don't have the registration on you? My registration? Yes, I do have it. Got to look through all the junk for it. Okay. Not riding around with no registration. You run this tag. You see it's valid. Well, you have to carry the paperwork. Well, it's not if it's not on me, sir. What can I do? That's what the insurance say. I have everything on here. I mean, I don't you know, I know I got registration. Yeah. I know I have registered for this truck. I know the I'm not saying the truck's not registered. What I'm saying is you have to carry the registration. You know that should have been in here. I'm looking for it right now. Yeah, but I'm just trying to let you know that. Okay. I'll make sure I take from now on out, though. You just don't let me finish anything, do you? No, because All right, that's fine. You can be rude. That's okay. I'll be right back. Did you find it? I'm looking for it. Is it? That's my right there. If you like to keep the car on for air conditioning, you're more than welcome to. No, that's all right. Okay. This one's expired from 2021. If you when you run that, I'm looking for it right now. I might be I got me all the stuff. You say you have your insurance on your phone? Yes, I sure do. All right. Can I see that then? I look for stuff now. Okay. Your payments service a minute. That's That's the insurance right there. That's for direct insurance. Okay. Okay. I'm going to hold on to this just because there's a policy number. The registration for the trailer is good. So, I'll leave this with you. And then this one, like I said, is expired. So, you can you could just toss that one unless you like keeping them. I look for stuff right now. So, I know I got it. I just look for somebody behind the seat. So, I definitely want to dig it. All right. I'll check back with you. Okay. Um, does the window go down or no? No, it doesn't go down. Okay. It's good. You guys don't want to start your car? Does the air conditioning work or no? I'm good. All right. Just stay seated. Yeah, I don't want you guys overheating, obviously. So, just stay seated. Okay. So, we're next to the driver at a light on University Driving Sample. He's not wearing a seat belt. He's manipulating the screen on his phone. Um, so I pull him over. He's upset because I stop him. He thinks that I'm wasting time with seat belt enforcement. And, uh, he was argumentative with the whole phone and hands thing. I'm not going to argue with him. We're on the side of a road. Nevertheless, he had a license with him. It was valid. The vehicle is properly insured, but he failed to carry the registration paperwork. So, I wrote him two tickets. One for the seat belt. The other one's for the failing to carry the registration. All right, sir. Your uh insurance is here. I'm issuing you two citation. One is for the seat belt, the other one's for not carrying a registration paperwork. Okay. But you can run the tag anyway. It's not a big deal. It's in there somewhere. I don't know why in the hell not. So, if you find the paperwork, all you have to do is just show the clerk of courts that ticket will get get dismissed. It's a $10 court fee. The seat belt, it has no points with it. So, you have two options paying it or if you'd like to, you can go to court. All right. Uh just whichever option you choose, you have 30 days. Same with getting the actual registration paperwork shown to the court. You have 30 days to do that as well. If not, they're going to suspend your license. But please wear the seat belt. It is click or ticket. And again, cops all over America are cracking down on tickets. Make sure to wear a seat belt. Yes, sir. Thank you. All right. I care about you guys. That's why I'm doing my job. Okay. You're right. I honestly tell you the truth. I do Uber and I can't stand a seat belt on me. So, I do Uber. I just got to wear it, man. It saves your life. It could save your life. It could. I've seen it plenty of times. All right. Take care, guys. Be safe. Hi, Officer Charie with Coral Springs Police. I stopped you because you made a right uh turn from the straight through lane. So, that's why I pulled you over over there. Yeah, but I couldn't go in the right lane cuz there were cones. No. So, you could actually enter the right lane. There was a cut in the cones. Yeah, I know there's work over there. It's confusing, but there is a spot where you can enter into the right lane. Oh, I didn't know that. I'm so sorry. That's okay. Do you have your license on your registration insurance? Thank you. Am I like in trouble? I have no idea. We're new to the You're not in trouble. The area and I'm just trying to like get our bearings. Did you update the address on your license yet? No. No, cuz that was our old address. Gotcha. You like just Well, welcome to Coral Springs. Thank you. You're welcome. What's your address now? And then just your insurance, please. Just make sure uh you update your driver license address because you have 30 days to do it once you move. Oh, really? Yeah. On the back of your license, um there's the state's website. That's where you can update everything. Go on to see. Okay. It's $25. Once you pay and update your license, Florida sends you a brand new one in the mail. You're welcome. Okay. All right. So, these are both good. Let me check your license out. I'll be right back with you. Okay, ma'am. Thanks. So, drivers in front of us, they were in the straight through lane. Instead of going straight like they were supposed to, they made a right on the straight through lane. Can't do that. She was confused by the barricades because of all the um work in the area. The barricades threw her off. So, we're just going to give her a written warning. Her license checks out. Vehicle is insured and uh the only thing she needs to do is update her license. After you move from your last house or residence, you have to update your Florida license within 30 days of moving. The reason behind that is because if the state ever needs to send you something in the mail, they're going to send it to the current address on your license. So, if they ever send her something, and it's always important documents, it's going to go to the old address. She'll never be notified. Even though she was technically notified, it just went to the wrong place. And it just it's it's not good. So, she just needs to update that. $25. Once you pay and update the license on Florida's website, Florida will then send you a brand new license in the mail. And then the old uh driver license, you could just give that up. All right, ma'am. So, I'm just giving you a written warning, okay? It's not a ticket. You don't need to do anything with it and it doesn't affect your license. Just Okay. I know it was confusing that construction. So, you're So, you're telling me when I'm driving down what road is that? West View. West View. There's a break before the turn that I can correct. It's It's very um It's there. Honestly, to be fair, I don't think I've ever made since we moved that right turn yet. So, I just saw the codes. I was like, "Okay, I guess it was a problem." Understood. I'm sorry. Not a problem. Okay. Take care. You're welcome. Is that accurate? Let's see. [Music] [Music] [Music] Tango 31 1050 9500 block Atlantic. Pull up. Pull up. Pull up. Pull up. Hey, I'm Officer Charnie with Coral Springs Police. The reason for the stop is because you're going 65 and a 45. Huh? I can't hear you. You said I was Ma'am, I cannot hear what you're saying. You said I was You were going 65 and a 45. That's why I pulled you over. Do you have your license on you? Uh, registration insurance? I have my I still can't hear what you're saying. I still can't hear you. Sorry. I'm just trying to What's that? I ma'am, I don't know how to tell you any other way. I cannot hear what you're saying. Okay. I have I have my phone. I can't hear what you're saying. All right. Do you have your license or no? Yes or no? I do. Okay, there. Now I can hear you. Use that. Use that volume, please. It's hard to hear. There's cars out here. I got engines starting over here. Whispering. I just Okay, I'm not whispering. I just I'm not I'm not You're not feeling good. Do you have a picture of your license or no? I'll just take a picture. Let me see that, please. 6 52. Nope. I don't If you're sick, I don't want to touch your stuff. Let me see the screen. I can't. Hang on. Hold it. Hold it to me cuz you got a privacy screen. Okay. Okay. Do you have your insurance? Is that card good? I'm going to hold on to this. Um privacy screen just a little bit more my way cuz it's blacked out. It's okay. You just got to just point it my way. There you go. All right, that's good. One minute. Okay, so we stopped this driver for going 65 and a posted 45 m perph speed limit. The entire time she's just whispering to me. I don't know what she's saying. Then she eventually tells me she's not feeling good and she can't talk. So, we're going to check her license out. Um, she showed me a picture of her license on her phone, which is fine for Florida law. As long as I can properly identify that it's her, we can use the picture. Now, if for some reason I couldn't ID her with the phone because it was like a blurry image or something, then I could write her a ticket. But because I was able to identify her properly, um, we can use that. It's totally fine. And we're going to, like I said, check her license out, make sure she's, uh, she's good with that stuff. All right, ma'am. I'm issuing a citation for the speeding violation. So, you have three options: paying it, traffic school, which is online, or traffic court. And whichever option you choose, you have 30 days to comply. Please slow it down. Okay, you're free to go. All right, take care. [Music]
