Uh, as soon as we came up to the car, strong smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. We get all the occupants out. We searched and uh placed the driver and the passengers on the side of the vehicle while we searched the vehicle. Um, Dino looked like he it looks like he found a gun. So, we're just running the serial number, making sure the firearm is not stolen. Uh depending on how much narcotics are in the car, we'll go from there. But it's his stop. It's his investigation. We're here to just back him up. Just going to read you this obviously so we get to the point. Okay. You have the right to remain silent. Put my stuff. My glasses. Damn. Break it. My glasses. My wallet. You heard me. Come here. Hey, you got to call Ash. So, while I was doing routine patrol on Riverside Drive, I saw a black BMW traveling southbound on Riverside Drive, make a left-hand turn on 40th Street to go eastbound. I observed the the black BMW to be have excessive tints, could not see inside the vehicle, could not see the occupants, could not see anything. When I pulled up to the vehicle, she's got a strong order of cannabis. I saw in plain view packages which I know that contain cannabis. The driver admitted there a little bit of marijuana but there's no firearms in the vehicle. Um when I ran the driver, first thing they told me is he's on Florida and released due to uh firearm history. I wasn't sure the exact charge. And um all three occupants said there's no firearms. No firearms. No firearms. When I got to the when all occupants were taken out of the vehicle and I got to the back seat, there was a black backpack. After I read the uh the operator of the vehicle his Miranda rightites, he did advise that the black backpack was his. There was also a firearm found inside the black backpack that was in the rear um of the vehicle. He has been arrested for 19 felonies. Has two prior conviction felony charges. He cannot be in possession of a firearm. He is aware of that. He's trying to say the backpack's everything besides the backpacks is. But the firearms are sisters. doesn't really add up obviously because one, how does he know that that particular firearms are sisters? He should be unaware of that it was even in there. So obviously he is getting arrested on weapon charges. Tangle 3150 WS Riverside. Hey, I stopped you cuz you're going 72. All right. I had you on a rear radar. So, I have an antenna on the rear of my vehicle. I had you at 72. 72. 72. No, I can't. For sure. No. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. 45 54. 454. Yeah. When you saw my police car? Yes. But before that? 72. Do you have your license on you? Yeah. Thank you. Is this expired? Oh, yeah. I had my license, my my Okay, that's okay. You don't have to sit down if you don't want to. No, I double check because I had too much missing my backpack. Yeah. Okay. My my wallet. Let me check the my physical because I don't know. Give me one second. Let me just get a Yeah, sure. You have a motorcycle endorsement? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, sure. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. What's uh just zoom in on the driver license number? The number? Yes. Yeah. Yeah. And then your license plate. Is that expired or no? No, it's expired. I had the new one. I know it's here. I called my wife. I'll give you like two minutes over there for bring me. Okay. No problem. Uh if you don't have it on you. Yeah. I don't It's You don't have to You don't have to call your wife out here. It's fine. I'm going to run the tag, but you got to carry the paperwork with you because the law says you have to carry the paperwork. You know what? I using my bike for a couple times for months. I go to play soccer, but I'm so sorry. Maybe go too fast. I'm so sorry. Yeah, my mistake. I know. Okay, let me check out a couple things. Okay, I'll be right back. Just stay right there. So, we're on routine patrol in Wilds Road approaching the intersection of Riverside Drive. Before we uh hit the intersection, there was this motorcycle behind us going 72 miles an hour. As soon as he saw my black and white police car, he began to slow down. Uh, nevertheless, we stopped him for the speeding violation. He's on a motorcycle that has more than 50 cc's, meaning that he has to have a motorcycle endorsement. Now, in Florida, if you have a motorcycle with 50 cc's or more, the law says you have to have an endorsement with on your license, meaning you went to a motorcycle course, uh, that's hosted through the state. you learn how to ride the bike properly, safely. Um, and they teach you uh about other safety things about regarding motorcycles. Once you pass your endorsement, you're now legally allowed to operate the motorcycle on the public highways. If it's under 50 cc's, you don't need a motorcycle endorsement. This usually is mopeds, uh, scooters, things like that. If it's a moped or a scooter, just a regular uh class E driver license will suffice. We checked his license out. He does have an endorsement. So, he is legally operating the vehicle. However, he is still speeding. So, he has a val license. He's going to be getting a uh citation for the speeding violation. We'll go from there. Is that Ducati? Ducatti. Yeah. Okay. All right. So, look, um you got to Yeah. ticket. One ticket. Ah, sorry. No, no, it's fine. Okay. So, you got to get the registration on hand. Um, I'm not giving you a citation for that, but you also have to put the updated sticker on your license plate. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So, one citation for the speeding, but you have three options. You can pay it, you can go to traffic school, which is online, or traffic court. And whichever option you choose out of those three, you have to choose an option within 30 days. Okay. And that has the points or something. So, if you Yeah. So, if you pay it, you're accepting points because it's a moving violation. It comes with points. So, remember, if you pay it, you're pleading guilty. You accept points on your license. If you if you do driving school, you can avoid the points by taking the online course. Once you pass the course, you show the clerk of courts the course that you passed and that way you don't get ticket. Um that way you don't get points on the citation. Okay? But you still have to pay the fine. And then traffic court, if you'd like to go to court, you can do that as well. You can represent yourself in court or you can talk to a traffic attorney and hire one and they essentially represent you on your behalf and they take care of everything. And then it's up to the judge whether you get points on your license or if they withhold points. But they could also do things like um give you a mandatory school in person and the whole online school would would be out of the window. It' be like a mandatory thing. So it all depends on who the judge is. It all depends on your record. It's stuff like that. I didn't look at your record through the state. So if you have a lot of speeding tickets, they'll take that into consider consideration. You kind of had the sensor on the back or something. Yes, I have an antenna on the back. So that's why I saw you the whole time and then as soon as you came up to me. Yeah. Nice. All right. But be careful. Powerful motorcycle. You're welcome. Let's hang out. 3150, 3100 block, Riverside. Hey, Officer Charnie with Coral Springs Police. I stopped you because of that red light. All right. You got to stop at the red lights, man, and not speed up cuz you were speeding, too. Cuz I was I was like coming up and then the yellow like the light started turning yellow and I was just trying to go to my friends right here. Yeah. So, that's my point. Instead of flooring it, you got to hit your brakes and stop because that was too that was too bad. Um, do you have your license on you? Registration insurance. You said you're going to your friend's house? Yeah. I don't What? You got a ticket there already? Yeah, I got a Yeah, I got a ticket like a couple weeks ago. For what? It was It was after school for speeding. Speeding. Okay. Yeah. You want to see a picture? Yeah. Hey, if you have a picture of your license, that's fine. Just read the Do you have a learner's permit still or no? No, no. Okay. Just read the license number out to me, please. Okay. And also, um, let me take a look at that learner permit real quick. Let me just want to see the picture of it. Well, this right here is a learner. This right here is like my photo. Okay. And then you retook your picture. ID. No problem. All right. Do you have the insurance with you as well? Cuz the registration checks out. I have a photo. Yeah, that's fine. I'll leave this with you because this is good. Thank you. And I'll be right back while you work on the insurance. Just stay seated. I'll be right back with you. Okay. So, we're on West Sample Road facing westbound at the intersection of Riverside. And the light turns red. The driver instead of stopping for the red light, he guns it, speeds through the intersection. Um, and while he speeds through the intersection, he continues to speed until he sees the red and blue lights catching up behind him. He starts slowing down. Told me he's going to his friend's house at 10:30 at night. So, he doesn't have his license on him, but he has a picture of his license. We're going to check his license out, make sure it's valid. Um, the picture he had originally was his learner's license, but he told me he actually got his class E. So, he actually took his test, passed the test, had the learners for a certain amount of time, and was able to get his regular license. So, the learner's permit violation doesn't exist anymore. He just had the old picture of his license. All right. Did you find it? Yeah, I haven't seen it. Yeah. And I noticed cuz my ID like the learners, it's a different code. I don't know if that matters. Yeah. So, I saw that you have your class E, which is good. The learners is fine. It's all the same DL number. Just zoom in on the date, please. Keep zooming in. Yeah, keep going. Okay, very good. All right. So, I am issuing one citation for the red light. Now, you have three options. You can pay it. You can go to traffic school, which is online, or traffic court. Whichever option you choose, you have to choose within 30 days. All right? All right. I'm not riding you a speeding ticket, but you got to slow it down cuz you're going well beyond 40 mph. All right. Do you have So, this is like the same thing with my last ticket. Like, so what do you mean same thing? It's got It's a moving violation. So, it comes with points if that's what you're asking. It comes with points. Correct. Cuz it's a moving violation. So, please slow it down cuz you're not learning. All right. Take care. What's that? I say I hope you have a good night.
