vehicle expired almost a year ago now what's the deal with that license plate that's in your hand that you're so dying to show me the license plate what's up with it why is this not on your car on the vehicle and this was issued four days ago I realized that this is a work truck but this license plate has to be on the car on the vehicle not sitting in the glove box or sitting up front here you can still get a ticket for an improper display by not having this on okay hang tight and I'll bear with you okay technically he is both as the driver is supposed to make sure that the vehicle is in proper order before he drives it however and so work Vehicles so if his license is good yeah you're probably gonna let them light let them slide out with a verbal warning my name is Eric Schuster I've been with the City of Coral springs for a little over 28 years and currently I am a motor officer assigned to the Traffic Unit I'm currently been in the traffic unit for 23 and a half years and in two weaving I'm sorry I didn't realize that was going that bad okay how fast you think you're going be honest I really thought I was going like 50. okay how let okay well I actually had you at 63. and it is posted 40. so can't see your license I'm going to give you credit at least you're honest about it really like and I saw you and I was like do you still live in the sunrise ma'am yeah all right do me a favor stay in the vehicle up here with you okay so I've had questions over the years asking me what is the best way to get out of a traffic ticket and that is the best way to actually own it just realize it you made a mistake and own it I'm not gonna say it's going to get you out of every ticket but you have a lot better chances of doing that than yelling and screaming at the officer and arguing with him here's your license back look at that no ticket biggest reasons why first of all you're a nice you're polite second of all you actually owned it and a lot of people you get pulled over they don't realize what they did you realize it just do me a favor you got to pay attention to the speed limits okay this is a 40 mile an hour stretch of sample row once you cross over University Drive keep going east becomes 45 gotta pay attention to the speed limit sign here okay it's 23 over motor tune 10-4 23 over there's really not much misuse for that okay you are free to go please be you is a couple okay first of all what brought my attention or brought you to me my attention was the fact you were tailgating me we were coming south on Coral Ridge Drive you're like less than a car length off my back bumper all right recommended following distance supposed to be one Carling for every 10 miles an hour and you were right there because all I saw was like the top of your windshield that's how close you were and that's why I noticed your windshield is entirely tinted you can't have a tinted windshield in the State of Florida you can only come down two inches to the as1 line okay so this is illegal I can tell you without even going to get my tint meter the tint on the rest of this vehicle is illegal you also know that your tags expired on this vehicle what's that you know your tax expired okay okay but you know they like send you okay why aren't they buckled up why you take it off get back both of me get into the car seats you still live on okay how long ago did you move okay why didn't you change your driver's license address yeah you only have 10 days every time you change an address every time you change an address you have 10 days to do it the reason why you have to do that is if let's say you're there's some important uh correspondence to the state sends you that you need to know about you need to be able to receive that correspondence like if they tell you you forgot to pay a ticket your life's about to get suspended you need to receive that correspondence so okay are you telling me a lot of stuff right now okay so you didn't know your the 10 windshield was illegal you didn't know the side tent was illegal you didn't know your kids being out of the car seats is illegal it doesn't matter you've got the kids you're in charge of them okay can you roll your back window down for me how old are they where's his car seat yeah it doesn't matter he has to be in a car seat well that's a problem you call somebody and bring a car seat here all right as an adult you don't want to wear a seat belt that's entire to you but we're using adult driver responsible for their safety and then to be in car seats okay how old is he three okay let's have a seat I drive without a seat belt on that's fine I drive with tent you want to tailgate that's fine but you're responsible for kids and you have a three-year-old in a car with no car seat that is not fine that I have a very big problem with that you will be getting a ticket for so this young lady in addition to getting a citation for the expired tag is getting a citation for child restraint violations because she's got two young kids in the back's a three-year-old a five-year-old the back seat bass around on belted and as soon as we get down the stop she's going to pull into this apartment complex right there and she's going to wait for somebody to bring her some car seats before she drives off because I am not going to let those anything happen those kids and get hurt foreign [Music] foreign
