my name is Sergeant Crawford I work at the Coral Springs Police Department I've been working here for almost 16 years I'm currently assigned to midnight Road Patrol as a sergeant so the current shift that I work we start at 6:00 p.m. we do a briefing with all the other police officers and then we work all the way through the night until 5:30 in the morning continue go three my favorite part of the job is that every day is different no call is the same um it can start with someone's worst day and then it can be me driving and waving to a little kid that's waving back at me at a traffic light so I do like that interaction I take a lot of pride in knowing that I am representing the females in law enforcement especially as a supervisor and prior to being a supervisor being a detective with a Special Victims Unit I had the opportunity to work with the most vulnerable people in our population and I took a lot of pride in knowing that I'm the one doing that um arresting the bad guy and seeking like justice for our victims and now being a supervisor I can instill all that knowledge and experience that I've gained to the other police officers that work for me
