November 23rd 2021 officers responded to a 911 report of a car that was stuck in the median occupied by a driver who appeared very confused when officers arrived on scene the driver's side tire was on you up or you go with me to jail under an arrest for DUI those are your only choices and nicotine is not one of the choices there's no other choice it's okay you go with Mom or you go with me I called one of my friends no you're not going with a friend mom or I figured that but regardless is it okay if pulls up if your friend pulls up up yeah yeah it's okay if he pulls up and then we're going to move him along cuz you're not going with your friend you're going with Mom or you're going with me I know that but this is a DUI crash with property damage it's a misdemeanor offense is this honor request or our request our request but can you guys at least please wait tell my friend comes why what does your friend need to do no I can't wait for your till your friend comes so if I take you you're an adult you're 18 years old so if I take you to the jail under the arrest you don't have to tell your mom you can Bond yourself out you can get your friend to bond you out it's going to be an 8 Hour holding period that's mandatory till you sober up and then your friend whoever is wanting to come he or she can Bond you out of the jail you don't have to tell mom so that's that's your choice as an adult all right well let me call my my friend and my boss if that's okay she'd rather is she 17 she say she's 18 she' rather I gave her the option to call mom she don't want to call mom she don't with me because she's 18 she call her she wants my discretion obiously all right while you're making those phone calls I'm going to ask you something else okay so I'm going to ask you if you want to participate and feel sobriety exercises do you know what those are what like a walk in the straight line walk in the line standing on one leg so it's up to you they're voluntary but I just that her parents would not receive mail regarding the incident she was charged with one count of driving Under the Influence as her first offense when she arrived at jail she gave two breath samples which resulted in an average of 0.22 blood alcohol content nearly triple the legal limit she posted bond in the amount of $11,000 before her trial she waved her right to appear at the trial hired an attorney to appear for her and submitted a written plea of not guilty she eventually committed to a DUI early resolution program agreement which reduces the DUI charge down to reckless driving with several conditions including 12 months of probation an alcohol safety education course 75 hours of community service over $1,500 in costs and fines and random drug screening do you think Cassidy's
