ground that the Cockroaches are running all over you know they're gonna go if they're hungry they're gonna put it back in their mouth next you know your kid's dead yeah on April 22nd 2021 deputies were dispatched to the home of Christina Coe and Gilbert Bridewell following several reports of small children screaming and crying in the middle of the night deputies could hear the children crying from within their home they also observed trash strewn about all over the property by this point the officers knew they must rescue the innocent children [Music] is that someone passed out on Crown Russia yeah there's two kids in there what's up little buddy where's your mommy police sheriff's office hello yeah you yeah yeah are you the mother of these children here yeah what's up they just they've been screaming and crying yeah they're playing they have the windows open that's what they do they're not playing man he looks like he needs some juice or something he's showing me his cup yeah I was just about to go get them okay well we're getting complaints that they feel like there's uh children in distress over here yeah and they them they're very loud and they scream a lot yeah it's called a kid scream a lot and they're very big how old are they yeah is anybody supervising them yeah yeah I think I was just in there getting them to install mm-hmm I have my other so there's like 10 000 choking hazards in there that they're locked in that room and nobody's in there supervising them as they're screaming for the whole neighborhood to call us and this apparently has not been the first time from all your neighbors calling in saying that they hear this multiple times throughout the week do you have an idea with you can we go get it [Music] look like you've been asleep [Music] can you take it out for me please are you the only one here [Music] when was last time you even changed her diapers as it's sagging there probably full they had a ton of juice and it was probably an hour and a half ago but I changed their diapers does this seem to be a safe environment for your children yeah it's completely say it's just they're very very loud and vocal and since both of the windows are opened this is a safe environment huh we're still cleaning it out just left and then trashed the place so I'm not enthused so far to be honest with you and his uncle like who we've been living with they decided they were going to move out and completely trashed the whole entire place and leave it that way and we've been dealing with it right the way it looks outside it looks like I mean this took a while to build up this is that their room that's their room area do they have beds to sleep on yeah they have cots in there they fold them up right away do they have bedding uh I see cops I don't even see bedding pillows blankets they have pillows they have blankets in there I could go in and I clean it every single day and they take all of the toys out of the toys then and they do that when was the last time you had a drink 10 minutes ago he goes on juice like it's nothing I literally go through gallons of juice in two days what do you have that's on that screen and besides tape just the tape he tries to push it out why wouldn't you just close the windows circular room and so when he pushes that screen out and comes into this then what I'm sorry or if he just gets out and runs around in the neighborhood a grandmother is really really literally right you think your mom your grandmother's looking out for uh three-year-old five-year-old running around at 11 P.M sorry can I see the inside of your house please do you live here yes sir I am the father you've been working on that or what yes yeah how long you've been living here I've been in here roughly two three years it was on and off because my uncle was originally thrown her out which I had to move out with her and we moved back in once everything kind of cleared up so you're the father of all three children okay you just uh she just had the other one like what five days ago or something yeah it seemed to us that she was sleeping took several minutes to answer the door so in case of emergency she would have never known yeah I mean I know you have a child camera in there so if I walked into that window where they're sitting out there talking to complete strangers that they don't really recognize as law enforcement pull that screen off and take that kid through that window how are you gonna know I see it you'd see it while you're at work not why I'm not working but why she's here right well she's here sleeping the camera doesn't can't raise your kids man there's ten thousand choking hazards in that room while she's passed out they could stick a car in their mouth you know how kids are they stick everything in their mouth yeah swallow it choke out on the floor while she's sleeping he's banging on the door that obviously he's not enough to wake her up next you know your kid's dead yeah see where we're getting at yes sir because right now I have enough to take you all to jail yes sir for felons DCF is coming out tonight yeah they're gonna expect what we've seen and we're gonna figure out a plan from there all right what does she do for work she is currently unemployed she just after having a baby she had surgery okay who's all the narcotic paraphernalian bongs The Masks the smoking bong masks that's in your car the pipes the Grinders the leads how come they're laying out on the floor where anybody can access them I didn't realize my bag had been opened did you see where we have a problem with that too I mean you got I mean you're adult you can make your own decisions with the children they don't know what they're putting in their mouth they're within the reach of the children yes it's covered in cockroach droppings I don't know if that's my shoppings or not I'm not a professional on it yeah you know she's sleeping if they're hungry that's what they're begging for with food in the room what do you think they're gonna start eating you know what's poisonous and toxic food that's on the ground that the Cockroaches are running all over you know they're gonna go if they're hungry they're gonna put it back in their mouth there's cookies pretzels everything's just laying all over the ground yes sir what we're getting at is this is an unacceptable environment and it's neglectful to your children and we don't know if they're going to be charged at this time we're waiting on DCF that will conduct their investigation how come there's just piles of trash that we usually we sit it out front but lately the cats are raccoons and get to it and that's what happens hold on hold on hold on partner I live with raccoons too they don't do that and that and that and that that's not a raccoon that would might be a bear foreign because he's eating all your food because you're just setting it like this I've had raccoons going through my trash too and yeah it makes a little pile maybe like that maybe a little bit smaller but it doesn't do that it doesn't do what's by your front door right next to the window that's being held in by duct tape that they could easily push out who's in charge of changing their diapers uh when I'm not home it's hard how come it looks like they haven't been changing the days they're basically dragging on the ground as they walk around uh she's told you it didn't drink a lot it's not it's full of feces I looked it's coming out the sides bulging out the sides in today what are you doing to mitigate this infestation the like the roaches yes there's roads droppings throughout your entire house where they're sleeping there's I've been spraying please spray for the fleas I've been spraying roach spray trying to get as many of them yeah it looks like pieces on the walls that would have been from my other son if you like to take his diaper off it's literally fresh I understand that but your brother's son is putting your children in a room covered with feces that they can go and pick off the walls once again eat once again cause infestation bacteria there's so many things that hurt or kill your children going on right now what other narcotics do you use I don't use anything else other than my prescribed medication and marijuana are you prescribed marijuana all right you want to go talk to her and see if they've changed the diapers at least um the home your son's home is pretty bad so we got to get the kids and Mom somewhere safe at least for tonight can you smoke any weed me yeah no okay would you be able to take a UA test that shows that why do I have to well I'll explain it to you man it's I understand I understand the frown I get it the thing is is that they both smoke over there right but in case you didn't know they do okay so I just need to show that I'm putting them in a home where no drugs are being used what I would like to do is name you what's called a safety monitor toward the kids and Mom would be here with you I don't have room for them here I live with my uncle he's not okay um well here's the deal if I can't put them here the kids then they go with someone who's not family we don't have it and my uncle's 91. do you have temporary space that you can put them in you know what I'm saying because I I do I don't want to have to put them into a home where they don't know someone you know what I mean yeah yeah because I want to be able to put them with Grandma this is risk for um maybe at the most a week okay this is a very temporary situation obviously it's the middle of the night so we just need to get them somewhere safe for tonight just a shelter that they can stay in which is with Grandma that'd be far better than me putting in with some stranger they don't know in foster care that make it make sense can I call my sister-in-law she lives right behind me okay and it would just be less traumatic for the children going with somebody that they're familiar with it's just oh I'm asking where's Gilbert going I don't know anything about Gilbert man I'm here for the kids it's still under investigation we have deputies over at the house I need to find the city he's here for the kids to go Gilbert confers I can as far as I care Gilbert can sleep in the house I don't care where the Gilbert does okay but the kids can't so I that environment what the call oh yeah someone turns your kids screaming yeah his mother lives right next door and she didn't even hear them so yeah I believe her over y'all you don't know our situation you don't know nothing about our situation this feels good on your conscience taking a baby away from her mother she doesn't even she doesn't even take the ball the hospital and doesn't want to be seen by a doctor and she refuses clear for jail yep my DCF in the case already knows I smoke pot because of my medical reasons okay well I'm sure you have a necessary prescription for that that's not true at all man right children managers right because you're taking a baby who's breast fed he does not take a bottle away from their mother that's caring right it's doubtful that Gilbert and Christina will be winning parents of the Year anytime soon each parent racked up three counts of felony child neglect they were held without bond at the Flagler County Sheriff's Office jail neither parent was ever convicted for these counts but their legal woes didn't end there Christina was rearrested three months later after she had an active warrant out for contributing to the delinquency of a child she was ordered to serve 90 days in jail 12 months of Probation and pay almost 600 in fees and fines she was later arrested for possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia as well as violating probation in November of 2022 she was arrested for domestic battery after she allegedly grabbed her husband from behind with both arms around his neck and chest restricting his Airways he was able to break free and escape from her but not before obtaining visible injuries to his face and ears including an earring that had been ripped out of his earlobe she pled no contest and was ordered to serve 60 days in jail and have no contact with her victim her own husband this did not stop her as she called him 17 times while in jail and caught another charge of violating conditions of pre-trial release to make things even worse Christina went missing in March 2023 she was found five days later in a nearby town Gilbert is no stranger to the law either he had been previously arrested for battery and driving without a license since this incident he has also been charged with felony aggravated assault after he allegedly swung a bat at two of his siblings threatened to shoot one of them then accidentally knocked down one of their children he was also charged with a felony cocaine possession at that same incident Gilbert and Christina were apparently residing in the trailer where the cocaine with possible traces of fentanyl was found there's even an online petition calling for justice for their innocent children do you believe this couple should
