Go sit down. This is your one chance. I don't like handcuffs. All right. I need you to take your hat off and take your glasses off. Call my dad. I'm gonna hit this because listen, if you hit that again, I'm going to give you a citation for interference. Is that perfectly clear? That is your last warning. Okay, you got Hey. No, no. I told him that he's going to get a citation for interference. That's it. Stand up. Place your hands behind your back. Yeah. You're under arrest for wearing a vest while you're while you're intoxicated. I'm here. I'm here. Please don't handcuff me. Put Stand up. Put your hands behind your back. Do not move. You have a key. Yeah. I'm going to loosen your left one. You're going to get charged for resisting. God damn it, bro. Yeah. I'm trying to get it off. Yeah, this key is not breaking free. I'm not resisting. Not tightening it. It's not undoing. It's okay. Whatever, man. [Music] you transport. Oh, I have to talk to my supervisor real quick. See if you have cage, please. Hey, can I call? Operate a vessel with your normal faculties and I'll explain the rest of them at jail. Do you guys have to put them in hand in seat belt? You guys do that? If they do, sit back. 6427 window. You can show them a random warning. Uh, I'll get the information from the transport. Watch your elbow. You have it run. Do you have it running at all? I got this one running. I'm about to start my Oh, you had that one running. Okay. And that'll give me a time for observation. All right. Thank you. How you doing? Okay. State law enforcement. Were you on the vessel earlier or just the two girls? Uh, so I know a lot of people were rotating out, but at the last when she held up the empty bottle, I believe it was smearing off. Yeah. Yeah. You know what I'm talking about? Yeah. Okay. So, were you I just came out here later and just got on the boat for like one. I seen that. And then you guys parked it. Can you tell me introduce me to the two ladies, please? They're not in any trouble. I just need to talk to them. Uh, yeah. Can I hand you these? Yeah. And as far as his dog, I'll take it to his house. Okay. Appreciate that. Yep. Yeah, that sucks. I literally just pulled up. But yeah, they're pretty reckless out there. Yeah. Yeah. I I tried working with him. I tried working with him and I tried talking to him and uh you at a certain point. You want me to wait outside? You mind if I follow you in? Yeah, if we can just I just need to identify them. If you don't mind me following you in, I'm not looking for anything further. I'm just getting their IDs. Pontoon. Can y'all do me a favor? Come here real quick. This is the vessel. Come back to a Regal owned by his father. Uh yeah, just if you can for a second, you guys watch him. I just need to talk to you real quick. I'm state law enforcement. The subject's been arrested. Uh how y'all doing? State law enforcement officer specialist Brandon Scrambling. Um so obviously I don't know if I'm going to charge him with reckless or careless as far as how he was operating the vessel, but I saw him cut off multiple boats. I saw him. Yeah. Yeah. I was at the boat the whole time. Come up here, you know, kind of wake you guys. Did he actually get you with the wake? I knew it was really close. It scared us and that's what we took off. Okay. Not that it matters as far as the investigation, just for my curiosity. When he came around, when he went around the big donut and he came this way and he kind of backtracked, did he flick you off? It looked like he flicked you all off. You think he was flicking off the guy on the Okay, that's fine. Yeah. And I saw I saw all the kids out on the tubes and stuff like that. Um, but you guys all watched him drive the way he was driving. Did you guys Let me make sure I ask that question. Did you all watch him drive that vessel? What vessel? Can you point without me pointing to it? He had big hat on. Okay. Did he have any clothes on? Okay. All right. Right. Well, he's been arrested for operating a vessel while, you know, under the influence. Um, I don't think he's going to blow at the jail, which that means provide a breath a breath sample to me. Um, he wouldn't even cooperate with the investigation, so he's got other charges now. Um, would the three of you be willing to fill out a sworn word statement? That just helps me with my investigation. Are you okay with that? Uh, I don't know. I can't tell you that definitively. I don't particularly think he'll remember. Um, but he has no idea that I'm here. He's 10:15. He's under arrest and handcuffs in the back of the patrol vehicle. So, it's not like he knows I'm back here talking to you. Okay. Um, Let me go get three. Yes, ma'am. I don't know. I don't know how many you need. I mean, you threw on the boat. I know. I saw the kids come on and off. I saw him rotate out on and off, but I know the two girls were with him for the most part. Um, when they ran by and they held up that clear glass bottle. It looked like smearing off, but I'm not certain. It's sort of irrelevant. I mean, I know it was an alcoholic, you know, bottle. Let me grab three statements if you guys can just hang out. I don't want the mosquitoes to get you. If you don't mind, what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna leave these with you and then I'll pick them up tomorrow. Yeah, we just leave them in the house here. Yeah, I'll get one of y'all's numbers. Okay. Is that okay? All right. I'll be right back. Thank you. All right, guys. I appreciate your patience again just so I can expedite this. Um, I brought a couple. I mean, most of the time people don't need more than one page. If you do, um, you can write on the back. So, I brought an extra one completely in case either your friend or husband or wife or whoever's over if they want to write one. If not, if one of you always gets messed up, um if you can just start at the top, um take your time, you know, uh the date, statement, received, all that. And if you can write it in clear, legible print because I've got to decipher it and put your driver's license number, stuff on there. And uh let's see. And so we got the sheriff's office actually got a complaint because I was at the boat ramp and I was checking people there and I was hoping that he was coming there, but obviously all the tags I I looked at I knew, okay, he's he probably lives on the water. So as I was literally just going up the road to park and I saw the deputy pulling out. I was like, "Shoot." So I went down there and said, "Hey, what'd you get a complaint for?" And he told me and so I said, "Okay, well I watched him, you know, right?" And so he already got permission to come on the property, right? Because of the from the father. So, no. To answer your question, long-winded. I'm sorry. They're all leaving. There's three people here. They're all leaving right now. Me and the deputy can't leave until they're gone. So, they won't be back here. And then the son is going to be arrested. He might have first appearance tomorrow. I don't know. But I think the earliest he can get bonded out is probably Tuesday. Um because of the Memorial Day weekend. Don't hold me to that. He might be able to bond out tomorrow. Um but uh we talked to the f the deputy talked to the dad. He talked to the dad. Yeah. and he and I let him know, hey, you know, if you want to advise him, his son's going to I'm going to investigate for the signal one. And he said, "Yeah, please do." So that's it. Um he did. He told him that many times. Well, you know, they're really if this was a different lake. I mean, even on this lake, but they're really he's really lucky he didn't kill himself or somebody else. He wouldn't have gone out the boat. Yeah. Well, and I seen them all here and then I seen him down there. I mean, I guess you guys were shuttling them. behind the wheel. They literally Well, if you can, again, don't let me influence you, but in your own words, more detail the better. You know, who is operating the description like the shirt off, that's really helpful for me because it's going to be my word in court. Um, right. That which I can articulate because he had the same hat and glasses on when I came here. Um, put that he was the gentleman that you walked down with at the end. Yes, absolutely. as as much detail as you can, this the children, how they what they said, how they responded to you. Again, if you need extra paper, if you have your own, you know, printer paper you want to write on that, that's great. I'm sorry that's me usually have extra sheets, but the more the information, the better. Okay. All right. Y'all have a great night. I appreciate your time. I'll talk to you tomorrow.
