entered a hotel to book a room she attempted to check in using another individual's identification and credit card presenting herself as the friend of Sheree the card holder she claimed that she was booking the room on Sheree's behalf hello did I call us about a female she is huh in the jacket okay are you going to let her check in or what's no no she has a completely different someone else's ID a black person's ID and she's trying to use it her hey did you ask her what she get it from she said at a hotel she got it from the safe she's homeless she needs help all kinds of she got it from a hot a hotel she was in another hotel and she the safe it was in there and she thought she could trust me by using it you want to you want her trespass too or just want to move yeah her stuff is there and she's young I don't want to you know that's everything she had that's everything she can you grab it from me I wouldn't get at first glance everything appeared normal but the hotel staff trained to spot any signs of fraud immediately became suspicious of certain inconsistencies in Lauren story she seemed nervous and uncertain when answering basic questions leading them to dig deeper into her claim she brought it all of this stuff all right thank you all right hello hello come on coming outside with me please M coming outside me this is your stuff right you mind coming outside with me say that being honest with you why you say that why in I trouble when the staff checked the identification and the credit card they found discrepancies that raised doubts about the validity of the documents upon receiving the call Law Enforcement Officers arrived at the hotel quickly well aware of the serious nature of the situation they approached Lauren calmly but firmly asking her questions to clarify the inconsistencies noted by the staff Lauren was unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for the discrepancies the identification she presented did not match the name on the credit card why you scared what do we do are you afraid of somebody else all right is somebody after you everybody okay what's your name ma'am what's your name Lauren Lauren where's your family I don't know you don't know so what what you trying to do today you trying to run out of room where did you find these cars from where did you get them from in the locker room so I put my purse in the locker room and it's just been a really Ry day all right just sit down and have a seat where where was the locker room at PJ National Resort expa where I work I thought it was safe oh you worked there that was today yeah and you find is in locker room well it was in my locker okay but you obviously know it was in my locker like I locked it and then I put my purse in the locker and then when I came back it was a place with a different purse and a different set of keys and everything and I thought oh I don't know what just happen I I've had a lot too much to think about and so I haven't been thinking clearly in everybody so what made you use this though to to run out of room that's all I'm asking you because I don't know what else to do you terrified uh yeah I have money in my bank account but I don't have my stuff so why you try to use somebody else's sry is she your best friend no okay therefore you had no reason to be in property of this you're right I'm sorry what's so your name is Lauren right I'm sorry hey it's fra hold on what like that's that don't even belong to her that's not her look at it yeah I know but I just to see hold on let's figure out phone number let me get her 14 number for you so let me get it straight you called a uber here you was going to check out a room you used somebody named Sheree that you found in your locker at upon further inquiry the officers discovered that the credit card Lauren had used had been reported as stolen earlier in the month this was a crucial Revelation confirming that Lauren's actions were fraudulent okay you say you're afraid of someone who are you afraid of everybody every man that I've ever known in my life okay what you had experience you had a had a abusive relationship like I told you I had the worst day of my [ __ ] life today today what happened the worst day of my [ __ ] life because I can't even my own father that's why what did he what happened I don't know what he's doing not get that yeah what what what do you mean what do you mean you can't trust your father well my father somebody's obviously called the cops on me what do you mean like somebody called the police on me for us to be here right now yeah yeah you're trying to check in a hotel with well not your stuff so well I'm scared cuz I feel like I can't trust anybody I don't I don't know yeah but well they're just doing their job it's not let take it personal they called us because they obviously this obviously is not someone else's credit card that's it now you said you do not know who this person is no and you said you were you had you had your stuff in your locker at yeah and I know I did something wrong and I apologized for that I just didn't know I was doing anything wrong cuz I've had a really [ __ ] long day I know but you got to explain on that how has it been so long and bad well because I was staying at the hotel and then at which hotel this one no PJ okay and then I realized it's not how is it not it's just creepy how is it creepy let get that for I think that there's cameras everywhere there's cameras everywhere no in the wrong places like where like in the hotel room which hotel room yeah doesn't matter does it Well normally there's not cameras in hotel room that's why I'm trying to figure out which hotel room well I think there's cameras in all the hotel rooms okay but that's not true though this one does want me to tell you what rooms I stayed in but anyway um what happened with with your father today I don't know I don't want to talk to him why why yeah I mean if you don't want to talk about it you don't have to talk about cuz I don't trust my parents right now that's why okay did they do something to hurt you yes they did they don't believe me okay well did they not physically hurt you not physically okay nobody wants to believe me so I guess they I'm um so I'm going run her on the computer see if I get emergency contact or phone number for her Okay the reason why I want to on the air cuz it's technically not a tie to Cas unless she need to know if she lost that yeah yeah yeah yeah I told that me see it's American Express and then a a one two American I think so yeah she said she thinks now these lockers that's only for employees that they would use while you're working right no honey it was at the spa oh you're at the spa okay in a spa corre and you you didn't see them you put your stuff in a lock working today right I just no I didn't know that that's I get there why were you there I was staying there for two nights I stayed there so you were staying there after work and just going to work no I was just no I told my boss I needed some time off because I just went through a disgusting breakup and I'm going through a really hard time so I left my apartment how long you were there for two nights two nights okay and then you went to the spa you put your bag with your belongings in that locker and then and then when I came back it was a different but I told them that did you lock it or was it okay master and did you report it to the spa people yes they know I I mean I I told Peggy no she worked so PJ National is like a hotel I know it became clear that she had been attempting to use the stolen card to secure a room in the hotel under pretenses as the officers continued their investigation it became evident that Lauren had been involved in similar activities in the past although she had managed to evade detection until now I don't know who work yeah well yeah it's it's so big you don't know yeah exactly it's it's huge there's a bunch of different I know you're trying to get information from me but like I don't know what did you say did you go to the spa ask and say hey I was here for a spa no because everything was happening so fast and I lost my ring and I was freaking out so and then they told me I couldn't even eat there they said cuz I I ordered food okay so on so on so you noticed everything was gone now you noticed the stuff was gone your stuff was missing which was your purse with what in it my wallet okay and then personal yeah yeah that's what I'm saying just normal purse stuff yeah you notice that and then you noticed someone else's bag was in there where's that bag this bag this is the bag you found and that was today what are you grabbing everything that was in the bag everything that was in this bag go no no no you I I just want to no de ta that's it I'm not saying I have to take it right now yeah my stuff was missing and it was replaced with that stuff so maybe they put it somewhere safe is what suggest yeah it's just odd that this wouldd very odd yeah but you know like but this all happened today you said like Signs some things or I guess that but this all happened today you said yes sir okay yes sir so I don't have my anymore but at least I have my pH right yeah and I'm actually normally a very responsible person that's all right so you noticed I guess I look pretty [ __ ] irresponsible right now I I didn't say that I feel like that I feel like I look so you noticed everything was gone of your belongings and then you no my purse was gone yeah all your stuff that was in your purse okay with my wallet yeah yeah and then this stuff was in there yep not my purse not not this here what that's what not mine all this stuff is not yours no okay so this whole bag was in the locker where you thought your stuff was okay now could it be that you went to the wrong Locker no maybe did you check surrounding lockers no didn't how long ago did this happen like estimated time I wish I could tell you U maybe a couple hours ago what what would you say like 10 8 1 maybe like 1 okay 12:30 maybe 12:30 all right um and you just grabbed this stuff and then just left you didn't go to the front or anything oh so the ladies I thought were helping me because which which ladies though Spa employees Spa employees okay I thought we're helping yes Spa employees were helping because the thing about the spa is it like like huge giant maze you know so it's like really [ __ ] hard to find where you're going and it was exactly that's what I'm saying maybe you went to the wrong Locker yeah that's quite possible that's very possible but Converse okay all right so after you left you grabbed this person's stuff left did this and you said you talked to the spa ladies yeah I know that's what I'm saying I told people that worked there that I had like my purse was Miss I told them that I told them that and they said they would find it like what do you want me to do like I just don't have it like I'm sorry I don't know what the [ __ ] why did you tell them that this is not your stuff do you want me to call them yes I did I told them I don't know where my purse is and I have this bag now and I thought what did they say they don't know what to say I I don't think they would them would call the spa have my stuff is that what you want yeah that would resolve everything actually and then we could figure out whose stuff this is and I still don't know why you would leave with this stuff with the evidence in hand the officers informed Lauren that she was arrested for fraudulent actions the hotel management cooperated fully with law enforcement providing all the documentation and evidence they had collected including surveillance footage and transaction records I thought they were my friends yeah is this your friend or not I'm you said you don't know this person so how would it be your friend how would it be your friend Nation also called and describe her and said she's going to be a walking with and identity and stuff like that not to ordering the system or anything so I guess other Hotel yes so I'm not sure if that's the hotel she came from but they just called so she don't work at PJ National did she use it at PJ National I don't know she's usually did they just got and ask I'm saying did she use it she maybe she tried to check in there over M what's what's you want get your information cuz I'm not on my computer can you um give it to me please she'll mom just get your name and information cuz if this person want to prosecute she's going jail for doing it okay let me just thr you in raise your right hand everything you told me has been a trth so far yes sir all right just can you confirm what exactly happened today so Dr and the lady came there I asked her um do you have a reservation she said yes and then she proceeded to give me a name I looked in assistant I couldn't find the name so I said did someone made the reservation for you she said yes I said what is the person name she be like fumbling mumbling trying to spell it I said let me have your ID she presented me with with the card so I was like is this person with you she was like uh they're coming later I'm like okay and she gave me a credit card so I took it to the back let me go put the reservation in the system I called the manager and I said this is what's going on I'm going to call the emercy number when I went out to her I was like is this miss you know coming this evening she said yes I said about about S I was like so I can't this reservation with her information something that belongs to you she couldn't presented me with any so you Tred to confirm the reservation with with with the lady's card and I did you call the lady who belong to I tried to look in the system to see she was a past guest find she never even came here okay so it was all F yeah so I went over to her and I said um do you have any other car so she she gave me a full wallet and I'm like no no no no thank you so much all they may we may be calling you to get more information you have a good one you want to call the uh so come here the spa just called them well PJ na just called them she don't work at PJ Nation she tried to uh check in atntion with the same credit card so she's committing fraud the lady she told me she said she's my friend but then she said she doesn't know her so you going to believe somebody you don't know no that's what I'm saying yeah so hold on to it I'm calling the lady who belong to yeah she took the lady the whole thingy is there a phone in there do you have a uh your phone on you any other questions uh yeah it's right there you want it it's right there just just to verify you work there you mind calling your uh oh how am I supposed to do that in [ __ ] handcuffs do you want me to hold it pleas explaining you man you don't have to give me any attitude sorry can you give him your password to call your or a employ yeah yeah you want to call Ronald oh he's from PJ okay thank you know this guy the investigation into Lauren's activities revealed that this was not her first attempt to use stolen or fraudulent identification and credit cards while this was the first time she had been caught she had previously tried to commit similar acts at other businesses and locations her prior attempts were unsuccessful likely due to alert staff and efficient security measures I Wasing with yeah I do um I just got a report that she took another guest bag I'm pretty sure are these all your stuff or these all stuff that you been taking that's my stuff well he just said that okay sorry I didn't mean to kick you up I thought I already answered that question sorry my bad no so she was in the locker room with female employees friend somewhere around here everybody else just think I'm a [ __ ] n j I'm just I just like Jesus was that cool with you all I do is read the Bible that's all I do that's good that's good I'm glad that you that you can see that that's all I'm doing is having faith in God what's wrong with having faith in God I didn't say anything was wrong with it I go to church yeah do I appreciate it I'm going let her confir I get a quick statement from you real quick so you were at the time where were you in the pool you said so no I got to PJ spot about 9:30 9:30 I had a 10:00 massage okay so I had undressed put on the RO left my belongings in the locker okay after the massage I went back to the locker my things were you have to put in 4 C so went back to the locker I left the rooll put on my swim seet okay and then my SW I changed and put on the to cover up and I took my cell phone out and I put the rest of my things including the RO back in the locker back in your locker correct and I set the for digit code locked it and then I open the so you even had a code to the locker so four digit so that's why I was like I open the what are you missing the the credit cards I put in there you missing some more cards hold on I'm I was tell yeah don't leave yet at we got a female here is going to Pat her down down and and see if she got anything in her Pockets but because she's a female the male they don't let us do that oh there she go she's here you have anything on you I need to know about any drugs any paraphilia any Shar sharp objects anything that's going to cut or poke no ma'am just jewelry just
