On April 18th, 2025, a deputy with Monroe County Sheriff's Office was on patrol when he conducted a routine traffic stop. As he approached, he could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The odor gave the officers probable cause to search the vehicle, leading to marine resource violations. So there's a a marijuana grinder or a tobacco grind there at center console. There's a Dutch rolled up and there's a metal marijuana res right there on medical marijuana license. The dude was following closely and failure to use his turn signals and he's frustrated cuz I pulled him over and he told me, "Oh, I'm going 40." Okay. Mad at you. Now, the most important information the arrest for me. Yeah, technically it's an arrest, right? But but we're not in lie of arresting you. We're telling you you have to come back in court. Here's the important information. All right. Your court date. All right. It's April 30th at 8:45. Here's a court number. Okay. And here's the address right here. Okay. If if if you have any any hardships or reasons you can't make the It's in a couple days. Yeah. If there's any reason you can't make it or you have a hardship, call that number right there. Okay. If you don't make this court date, you will have a warrant for your arrest. All right. And it's down here. It's down here. That's the address right there. All right. I'm sorry. If you don't sign it, then then you you're going to go to jail. Again, it's not an admission of guilt. Okay. It's just saying you understand that you understand that you have a uh a court date for that date and time. That's all it's saying. Again, on camera, it's not an admission of guilt. Okay? All it's saying is that you understand you have a court date April 30th, 2025 at 9:45 a.m. at uh the Plantation Key Courthouse right here. Okay? That's all it's saying. All right? You're not a guilt, anything like that. All right? And you sign right here saying that you understand you have a court date. 11:15. K. Chin was charged with possession of undersized snapper, being over the bag limit, and possession of crawfish out of season. Richard was charged with being over the bag limit of snapper, two counts of undersized snapper, and possession of crawfish out of season. Both cases remain ongoing.
