[Applause] now on July 25th 2023 police were dispatched to a Cobb County Georgia shopping mall following a reported theft upon their arrival an officer observed a young woman approximately 23 years old exiting the mall with two bags in her hands her movements appeared hurried and raised immediate suspicion I can't yeah you can the officer approached her for questioning but she quickly attempted to enter a nearby vehicle however she could not access the car and fled the scene on foot C3 stand3 F3 stand three we're head toward the gas [Music] BBS clear black fale bling schs hand T to now headed towards the gas station she's running towards the shirt squeeze the Galleria toward Shar that sweet galleries gas right this is pretty Hunter is now connecting his daddy in with the folks over at brima this is about the same time that the head of brima during 2015 as the woman ran the officer pursued her using a vehicle well suited for urban chases the pursuit continued through the area with the officer steadily closing the distance eventually the officer intercepted her bringing the chase to an end when the officer attempted to place her in custody the situation escalated is apparently telling a confidential human Source who reports in 202 the FBI that quote it costs 5 million to pay one Biden and 5 million to pay another [Music] Biden 3210 running across k [Music] Parkway she resisted arrest by yelling loudly and struggling against the officer's grip creating a commotion that attracted the attention of passers by her resistance necessitated the use of force and the officer managed to arrest her and secure her in a patrol [Applause] [Music] vehicle I got as ambulance no told you to go run stand up your hand I can't yeah you can put your feet down I can't now upon arrival at the station the officer began the standard intake process which included completing the necessary documentation and conducting a thorough search of her belongings what was found in report along with additional materials that elevated the gravity of the situation these discoveries included substances identified as marijuana and cocaine the latter in quantities indicative of trafficking I you see my Spence I need you just ran a mile you chose to run okay yeah your mouth going to be dry you chose to run for whatever reason I don't know I seen it's not our job it's not our job to carry water for people that I'm scared of police well that's ridiculous I got beat up by a police [Applause] what's the rest of that story I know I bet I can figure it out we got about 30 more seconds okay then you're going to sit in the back of my car going to get some information we're going to talk to them all and then you're going to leave to the jail okay to what jail C County to county jail oh no for what obstruction maybe felon or Mr shoplifting we see what we got you on video what um you don't see me with any Bank oh yeah I did you didn't oh yeah okay what your okay perfect you just said you didn't have anything so you're also going to get um lying to me under investigation so you want to keep lying to me when I was you see something in my hand oh got you on video just in a holding cell while further investigations were conducted I saw her I was over there in like Center Court and she goes running out with bags of stuff so it's like and she's hiding in her car laying down I walk up behind her got 78 of the car she bails starts calling on the phone she had two other people with her our phone's going in evidence and figure out who those two people are and uh she um uh car's gone when we get back here obviously that was tough a long run what route did she take so we went we did three circles around the whole mall parking lot went through did the zigzag to the gas station and then finally went out all the way to C Parkway yes7 32 can would you mind standing with it for a second while I go talk security they're doing construction on the uh concrete it's just good oh I see um let me get her information for you case number I'll be back is it okay if I just did all of them to come back yeah I'll be back I'm just going to go run her to the jail run her to the jail I'll come back I'll have all the information for okay yeah you running too yeah trying to catch up with me yeah I saw him running and then at first dispatch call as if he was okay I didn't hear anything and I saw him to car so I didn't want to leave him by himself I mean so whole thing in some FBI dude was in the parking lot and he like turned his own marks on for me he it's the only thing that held her up a little bit okay that dur Rango flipping all lights on okay I wonder who that was in the FBI he said he was doing something over there and he was just coming over here for gas and he saw me running and he was like oh man all right we're going to go to the jail thank you I will see everyone later let me take his her pink yes I'll come back following her detainment the cas quickly proceeded to court she was formally charged with multiple offenses reflecting both her actions during the incident and the Contraband found in her possession the charges included disorderly conduct obstruction of Law Enforcement Officers shoplifting possession of marijuana and trafficking in cocaine the combination of these charges pointed to a complex legal situation particularly given
