Martin Northam King Charles X-ray 4799. Hello. >> Hello. >> My name's Officer Shoemaker. The reason why I stopped you, uh, I just noticed you went over the center line. This the this center line right here. Just want to check to make sure you're okay. >> Yeah. >> Um, good. >> You want my ID? >> Yep. Yes, please. >> Proof of insurance? >> Uh, yes. Your license and your insurance. >> Where are you coming from right now? >> Uh, my brother's house. Going back home back in Grand View. >> Oh, gotcha. So, perfect. You're good. All right. I didn't plan on giving you your ticket or anything. Um, I'm not sure if you're I'm not sure if you're distracted or anything. >> Yeah. What I'm going to be honest, I was looking at my phone a little bit. I know that's bad. >> Got No, I get it. Um, have you had anything to drink tonight? >> I have not. >> Oh, okay. Only reason why I asked is I feel like I can smell alcohol. >> I was with people that were drinking. I did have one drink, a glass of wine, but that was it. >> Gotcha. >> Yeah. >> All right. Um, >> you know, I still have to do my job at this point. I still have to ask if he'd be um willing to do some soriety test. >> Yeah, I can do that. >> First thing I do is just check your eyes. Everything's okay. I still getting you out here with a warning for the We call it marked lanes is what it's called. It's for when you go over like when you go out of your lane. So, if you ever hear a police officer say marked lanes, people like, "What does that mean?" >> Um, well, I'll have you stay in the car. Usually for this, we wait for somebody else come, which somebody's already on their way cuz it's past midnight for us. That makes sense. >> Um, but I see you wearing glasses. Do you wear contacts or anything? >> I do, but I haven't worn them in years because I just don't have the money to pay for them. >> Got. >> So, I'm just still in my glasses, which my p prescription is still not good, but >> Oh, yeah. I feel you. >> But I can still drive with them and everything, so. >> Okay, that's good. I also noticed when I came up here, you didn't have your seatelt on. Were you wearing it? >> No, I just took it off when I pulled up. Yeah. No, no, no. I always wear my seat belt. >> Okay. >> Yeah. And when was your last what was your last ring? >> Uh 1. >> Uh I'm what time? Like how long ago? >> 11:30 maybe. >> Gotcha. Okay. Um do you have any medical conditions at all? >> No. >> Any problems with your hips, knees, or back? >> No. >> Okay. Um do you have diabetes or anything? >> Okay. Anything else you think I should be aware of? Do >> you take any medications? >> Birth control, but that's it. >> That's it. Okay. All right. Well, I'll have you step out for me then. And I'm sorry, what's your name, ma'am? >> Haley Reese. >> Haley. >> Yeah. >> How are How old are you, Haley? >> Uh, 26. >> 26. All right. I'll have you just go to the front of my cruiser for me. >> Have you ever done Squarity test before? >> I have not. >> Have not. >> Uh, if just wait right here. >> Okay. All right. H I'll have you turn around and face me. What I have you do is I'll have you actually take off your glasses for me and then you'll put them right back on after this. All right. Um, what I have you do is I'll have you follow the tip of my pen right here. What I want you to do is I want you to keep your head still >> and follow the tip of my pen with your eyes and your eyes only. >> Okay? >> You understand? >> Mhm. 41. >> We're just going to stop and wait. >> How long were your brothers tonight? >> Since probably 6:00. brother. >> Oh, really? >> Out there a lot, too. >> Gotcha. How old is your brother? >> He's from 28. >> M. Are you guys You guys are you guys from around this area? >> He lives anyway. I'm from Grand View. We're all from Grand View, but he just recently moved up here from a >> Gosh. Are you from Grand View then? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> All right. Well, while they're here, I'm just going to continue with the test, right? >> Okay. Keep my glasses off. >> Yep. I'm going to keep your glasses off and I want you to do the same thing. If >> you could actually do me a favor and keep your take your chin and just bring down a little bit for me. Perfect. And the same thing, keep your head still and follow your eyes and your eyes only. Do you understand? >> Mhm. Heat. Heat. Am I allowed to blink at all? Just >> Yeah. If you need a blink, you can. >> My eyes are getting a little dry. >> No, just let me know. >> All right. >> All right. Y'all good? >> Yeah. >> All right. Same thing. If you could just bring your chin down just a little bit for me. >> I didn't even notice. Have you not been blinking this whole time? >> No, I didn't know if I was allowed to blink, so I just I was just like, "Okay, >> I didn't even notice." >> Okay, >> the was my driver the warning. Yeah. >> All right. You need to blink again. Same thing. I'm going just go up and down. All right. >> Okay. Still following just the tip? >> Yep. >> Where your finger is? Okay. >> Yep. If you can't see it, just look as high as you can. Just make sure you do not move your head. All right. Okay. All right. Uh, Haley, is that right? All right. >> Next thing we're going to have you do is we're going to pretend there's a measuring line going from the front of my cruiser. >> My glasses. >> Yeah. Oh, yeah. I'm sorry. You can put your glasses back on. >> All right. Um, are you comfortable? Do you think you can walk on a straight line where we're at right now? You think this is like a flat surface, smooth enough for you? Or would you rather go to a different spot like the sidewalk or something? >> I think. >> Perfect. All right. So, we're going to pretend there's an imaginary line going to the front of your c from the front of my cruiser to the rear of your car. Are do you imagine that imaginary line for me right now? I'm going to do it with you, too. So, while you're looking at that magic line, I want you to take your left foot and place it on that imaginary line for me. Now take your right foot, place a heel to toe in front of your left like this. And then take your hands and just keep them down your sides for me. >> Nice. >> Yep. And I just want you to stay like this until I give you further instructions. All right. So I'm going to explain it and then I'm also going to demonstrate what you're going to do. Okay. So you're going to take nine tilt to steps on that line. On that nine step with your lead foot, you're going to keep it planted. You're going to take a series of steps to turn around. You're going to take nine heels to steps back on that line. It's going to look something like this. One, two, three. I'm taking three. You're going to take nine on that nine step. >> The first step is nine. The first one, right? >> Correct. So you're the first step will that when you're in it will not count as a step. When you actually move your foot will count as a step. So on that ninth step, you're going to keep your lead foot planted and you're take a series of steps and turn around like this. And you're going to take nine hill steps back on that line. One, two, three. Again, I'm taking three. You're going to take nine. Just make sure as you're doing this, make sure each foot is heel to toe. Make sure you keep your hands down your sides and you're looking down at your feet and counting. And then just make sure once you start the test, not stop. Do you have any questions for me? >> No. >> You can begin whenever you like. If you could just count out loud for me. 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 and so do I turn around with this foot? >> Oh, just like how I showed you. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 >> All right. What we'll have you do next is I'll have you keep your feet together like this. >> Okay. >> Take your hands and keep them down your sides. >> Okay. >> And just stay like this until I give you further instructions. All right. >> Okay. >> So, what you're going to do is doesn't matter which foot. You're going to bring up approximately six inches in parallel to the ground. You're going to keep your hands down your sides and you're going to look at your foot and count out loud. It's going to look something like this. 1,001 1,002 1,003 1,004 1,005 1,006. And you're just going to keep counting so on and so forth until I tell you to stop. >> Are you going to tell me which foot to do or does it matter which one? >> Either foot. Doesn't matter which one. Just make sure you're doing this. Make sure your foot is approximately 6 in from the ground. >> Okay? >> Your hands are down on your sides. >> You're looking at your toe and you're counting out loud. And then once you start the test, do not stop. >> Okay? >> Do you have any questions? >> You can begin whenever you want. >> Okay. >> 1 10020034 1006 Ohio 9101 1,45 2016 12122. >> You're fine. Just keep going. >> All right. >> All right. You can stop. >> All right. So, Haley, uh, based on my observations, I think you probably have had more than one glass of wine. Okay. >> All right. Um, what I ask you to do right now is I want you to turn around for me. >> Keep your hands behind your back. Mhm. >> Put your hands palm to palm. Perfect. So, hey, I'm going to explain. You've been really plopping on flight and I appreciate that. If you could just spread your feet a little bit more for me. So, right now, I'm placing an arrest for operating vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or a combination of them. Um, I don't believe you you I believe you've had too much to drink and should not have been driving. Um, Haley, have you ever had an OVI before? >> No. Okay. Yes. >> Yes. >> How do these feel on you? >> They feel like too. >> They're what? >> Too loose. >> Too loose. All right. All right. Yeah. I let me always have like that smaller wrist, you know, and I always feel bad if I do them too tight, you know what I mean? How does that feel? Does that feel better? >> Do you have anything in your pockets right now, Haley? >> Um, there's a chapstick. >> Okay. >> In my left pocket, and it is shaped as a shot myself. Okay. >> Not a real shot. Got >> No, it's okay. You You already let me know, so I'm not I'm not too worried about it. >> Believe they have a sale going on. >> Oh, right. Right. This is >> Oh, that's that's what you're talking about. >> It's not a shotgun shot. My I think that's it, right? >> No, that's it. >> All right, I'll have you come over here for me. So, Haley, um I'm going to be honest with I'll have you step in here for me. It's >> okay. >> Um sorry. >> You've been again, you've been super cop and polite. Uh, I just want to let you know I have no intentions taking you to jail. All right. So, I'm trying to I'm trying to answer these questions you're probably already thinking of right now. Um, >> you're going to go home tonight. Okay. I We have to tow your car. That's not to me. Okay. I I have to do that. We're going to let you know where it's going and we're going to get anything you need out of it. All right. >> Okay. >> Um, you said you just need your phone, wallet. You have like a purse or any other anything else in there? Um, I have my work tool, but I can borrow some. It'll be fine. So, just phone. That's my wallet. My phone should be hooked up in here, too. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Um, my phone should be hooked up to my Oxford in the front. And then my purse should be maybe front seat. But, >> do you want your purse as well? >> I don't necessarily need it cuz I have my wallet. So, honestly, that's okay. It's fine. Just fine. All right. What kind of tools do you have in there? >> Um, my compact drill, my [ __ ] bit case, all my um um camping [ __ ] I don't know. >> So, tools for tools for work though, right? >> Yeah. I won't >> How much like how many? >> How many? Just one drill. >> One drill. >> Uh tool bag. Um chargers take or can I take that, too? Are are you going to be able to get a ride? >> Yeah, I can call my brother. But >> are you fairly confident that he'll pick you up? >> Has he been drinking? >> He has. So, I can't call my brother. So, um I can call my roommate. Maybe. >> If you're if she's confident that she can get somebody to pick her up, >> like whether that's Do you have Do you have Uber on >> Oh, I see. I see. >> I do have Uber on my phone. >> I just don't like Ubering alone. I understand cuz I don't >> in Grand View off of Oxley across from the elementary school. >> You have a roommate you said? >> Yeah, I got two roommates >> and one of them's there. >> One of them should be home, but she might be asleep and when she's asleep get somebody. I'm sure that we could take a couple. >> I want to like Yeah, I'm not trying to like let you know leave you high and dry with your tools in your car. >> No, it's okay. >> Um >> I'm a groundskeeper. I don't think I'll need it for tomorrow. I was thinking about my if you only have one drill and like a drill bit and drill bits like a drill bit >> and [ __ ] in a bag. It It'll be okay. I don't I don't think I'll need it for tomorrow. >> It'll be fine. >> All right, Haley. I'm going to have you step back out for me. >> This female officer is just going to search you. All right. >> Okay. >> I'll put this bag of stuff on the car. >> Yep. All right. Thank you. >> Did you start 31 yet? Oh, you're good. I want to see how big this drill is. Might be in her trunk. What? Her drill and stuff. You smiling at me. >> Oh, I bet. Is this it? I bet you this is all over. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. If you want Yeah. >> to take that stuff, you can. >> Uhhuh. >> This is her drill bit case. >> That That's truly up to you. >> Um I I wouldn't bring that. >> Yeah, it's kind of a lot, isn't it? >> That is a lot. You guys making this? >> Well, no. We're doing the toe and all that. >> Okay. So, >> we'll come back. We'll come back when we get the toe and help out as much as we can. >> I assume you didn't want it just cuz what you said yesterday. >> Yeah. I just wanted him to be able to watch the SFSTs if nothing else. >> All right, I'm going to take this >> worry about or something. >> Haley, is this what you're talking about? >> Yeah, >> these two things. I'm going I'm going to take I'm going to take these I'm going to take these two things with us. Okay. >> Okay. Thank you. >> Yep. >> Do you need this right now or can I put it back in? >> I smoked all my cigarettes. >> Sorry. Do [music] >> you have any questions right now, Haley? >> Right now, we're going to go like 2 minutes away to our station. Okay. >> But we got to read some paperwork to you. >> Okay. >> Off you like a breath test and all that. After that, try to get you ride back home. >> Okay. Thank you. >> All right. >> No, you don't you do not have to apologize. cuz I want you to >> if you have any questions, I want you to be comfort comfortable enough that you can ask. >> You guys have been great. I've had no questions for you. >> All right. 2 minutes away to our station. >> Okay. >> I've got to read some paperwork to you. >> Okay. >> Offer you like a breath test and all that. After that, try to get you right back home. >> Okay. Thank you. I'm sorry. I've never been pulled over before. >> You do not have to apologize. >> No, no, no. It's mine. [snorts] [gasps] [snorts] >> Haley. >> Mhm. >> Are [snorts] you uh We had to ask everybody this. Yeah, that's fine. >> Pregnant or postpartum? >> I don't think so. No. [laughter] >> What? >> Negative. [snorts] >> I hope somebody can help me. Okay. >> All right. I'll have 095 right >> 5 6 8 7 He's also not driving it. >> [snorts] >> Heat. [snorts] Heat. [snorts] Heat. [snorts] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Where does your brother live? >> Zinger. >> Like closer to 33 and to uh >> what is it? Tmont. I think >> you said closer to Tmont. >> No, closer to 33 than Tmont. Yeah. [snorts] I'm a grounds keeper at uh Northwood Apartments up near Polaris. >> Yeah. Grounds keeper, but also do maintenance cuz I had worked in maintenance previously. So >> Oh, really? >> Yeah. So, it's a little bit of everything. Mine is like leasing cuz I don't like talking to the >> residents cuz they're kind of the worst. I'll be honest. >> They think they're entitled to everything. And it's like, uh, well, we explained you're breaking the lease right now doing what you're doing. >> And they don't understand why. It's like, I cannot work where I talk to people like that cuz I just get too upset and I'd be like, "Okay." >> Right. Yeah. >> 5 6 8 7 1 46. Yeah. >> Are you asking Can you do me a favor? Can you take these two things in for me? Come on. Sure. >> Thank you. Perfect. All right. See you. >> See you. Haley, are you uh we have to ask everybody this? >> Are you pregnant or postpartum? >> What? >> You can't you're not certified. >> Negative. So I Phillips might be able to and Johnston might be able to. I don't know if Johnston has it or not. >> I hope somebody can help me. >> The point where I need to do it, just let me know. >> Okay. >> Even if Sergeant's got to come pick me up or something. >> All right. 823. Heat. What do you do for work? >> I'm a groundskeeper. I'm at uh department here. >> Oh, gotcha. >> Yeah. Grounds keeper, but also do maintenance cuz I had worked in maintenance previously. So >> Oh, really? >> Yeah. So, it's a little bit of everything minus like pleasing because I don't like talking to people. >> Right. Right. Right. >> Oh, I bet. They're probably super needy and stuff. >> You're entitled to everything. It's like >> Yep. >> He explained you're breaking the police right now. What you're doing, >> they don't understand why. It's like I cannot work where I talk to people like that cuz I just right. >> But yeah, 8:23 41 on 25 break for my ending. >> 56 871.6. sticks. Heat. Heat. Heat. Um, if she wants to give a test, you're able to run it for me. I was only asking because Fowler was actually asking you I'm [music] not Yeah. You're going to go through that door. Thank you. Thank you. >> Left. Follow me. Then I want to take those C. >> Yep. Very first thing I'll have you do is is just read this. This has nothing to do as a wire here or the traffic stop. This is just rules while you're here. Um, you have any questions about any of that? Say calories on the way. >> Yeah. No. If you have any questions about the the rules, how you put your initials right here. All that means is that you read it and you understand the change. >> Initials up here. >> Um just on this box. >> In the box. Yeah. Heat. Next thing I'm going to read you is your Miranda rights. So before we ask you any questions, you must understand your rights. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in the court of law. You have the right to talk to a lawyer and have him or her present with you while you're being questioned. You cannot afford to hire a lawyer, one be appointed to represent you before questioning if you so desire. If you wish to answer questions, any questions right now without a lawyer present, you have the right to stop answering any time. You understand your rights? Okay. Um, you want to answer questions tonight without a lawyer present. >> Ask do I want to? >> Uh, right. Ask me right now if I want to answer. >> Yeah, I'm just asking. Are you will you answer questions right now? >> I don't know if you can say she said if all of these questions I'm sorry lawyers again if you want to stop you don't have to. I'm not forcing you to answer these questions. >> No, I know. But >> I just mean the signature is that you pretty much understand your rights and that >> you're willing to answer questions right now, but um you know you can stop answering anytime. >> Yeah. Do you speak English? >> Mhm. >> What's the highest grade you completed of like school? >> Mhm. Uh, college probably junior year. >> Gotcha. >> Still continuing. >> Gotcha. >> Always continuing, >> right? >> It's never ending. >> Do you have any hearing problems? >> Not that I'm diagnosed with. Gosh. >> Can you read and write? >> Yes. >> Can you wear glasses? >> Yeah. >> [snorts] >> All right. So, I'm going to just answer these questions in the back. If any of them seem goofy, just know I'm just reading straight from this paper. All right. I'm not I'm not trying to trick you at all. I'm not trying to tell you what I mean. >> That's okay. >> Um, were you operating a vehicle? >> Yes, I was. >> Where were you going? >> Uh, Grand View Oxley Road. Do you need like specific address for >> 1104 actually specifically if you need it? Do >> you know what street you were driving on? >> Yeah, Northwest Boulevard. >> What direction were you traveling? South. >> Where did you start driving from? >> Uh road right between 33 and >> what time did you start driving? >> Probably a little after midnight. Can I ask her a question real quick? >> What's a good phone number for you? >> 64. Like to call me or like to call somebody else? >> For you? Okay. Thank you. You're welcome. >> Do you know what time it is right now without looking at a clock? Time 140. Do you know what city you're in right now? >> Yeah, Columbus. >> You know what today's date is? >> Uh, the 10th. I noticed we just had a setup. >> You know what month it is? >> Uh, October. >> Uh, do you know what day of the week it is? Uh well, Thursday, yesterday, today Friday. >> Very tricky. >> Yeah. >> Um technically it's Friday, but >> Yeah. So technically right now Friday. >> You knew that. >> Yeah. >> When did you last eat? >> Um probably like 100 p.m. lunchtime. What did you need? Uh, six slices of gluten-free pizza. Blue cheese dressing to dip in. >> Six slices of glutenfree pizza with blue cheese dressing. I just eat plain cheese pizza with nothing else. It's okay. >> With blue cheese instead instead of ranch. >> Yeah, ranch is too runny. Blue cheese is thicker. >> Yeah, my wife likes blue cheese, too. >> What were you doing 3 hours before you arrested? >> Watching YouTube music videos. Have you been drinking? >> Yes. >> What were you drinking? >> Uh, Boa Box Charard. >> What is it? >> Bodab box Charard. >> Boda. >> Not the whole box, but Boda Box is like a It's like a boxed wine brand. >> B O D A >> B O T A Box Chardonnay. >> But just wine. >> Yeah. White wine. About how much do you think you drank? >> Two to three glasses. >> But I will say not eating all of it doesn't help. >> Where were you drinking at? >> My brother's house. >> What time did you start drinking? 19. >> When did you stop drinking? >> 11. >> Are you under the influence of an alcoholic beverage right now? >> No. >> Have you been using drugs? >> No. >> What is your occupation? >> Uh, groundskeeper. Yeah. No. >> No. Do >> you have epilepsy? >> Mhm. >> Diabetes? >> No. >> Have you had any injections of any type of drugs recently? >> No. >> When did you last leave? Uh, I guess technically two days ago from like 1000 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. So, we woke up yesterday at 7:00 a.m. Gotcha. >> Yeah. >> Wednesday night. >> You got about 9 hours of sleep. >> Yeah. On a scale of 0 to 10 with zero representing no impairment and 10 representing very impaired, what do you think your level of impairment is? Next thing I'm going to read you is this. Um, it's a lot of information. Some of it does not apply to you and some of it does. I'm going to do it kind of quickly, but when I'm done, I'm going to explain it in simple terms for you. All right. So right now you're under arrest for operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, drug or combination of them. Operating vehicle while under the influence of listed control substance or elicit metabolite of a control substance. operating a vehicle after underage alcohol consumption or having physical control of the vehicle while under the influence. Again, you refuse to take any couple test required by law. Your Ohio driver privileges or be suspended immediately. You have to pay a fee to have the privileges reinstated. If you have a prior conviction of OBI or operating vehicle under influence listed control substance or list of a controlled substance under state or municipal law in the preceding 20 years, you're not under arrest for state OVI. If you refuse to take a chemical test, you'll face increased penalties if you subsequently are convicted of the state ovi. If you take any chemical test required by law and are found to be out or over the prohibited amount of alcohol, a controlled substance over time of a controlled substance and your whole blood, blood blood serum or plasma, breath or urine as set by law, your Ohio driver privileges be suspended immediately. Then you have to pay feed to have the privileges reinstated. We need to take a chemical test and we have an independent chemical test taken at your own expense. I want to move to the bottom portion down here. >> Chemical question. Yes. What is a chemical test? >> Um that's what I'm about to offer you. It's it's the breath test. >> A breath test is a chemical test. >> Yes. Yeah. Okay. >> Well, chemical test is it's whatever I offer you. Um it can be urine, blood, or breath. That's what's considered a chemical test. >> Okay. Um this top portion just means um you're in OVI um and we're offering you a breath test. Um if you do not have any prior OVIs. So um if you refuse a breath test, your license is suspended for 1 year. Um if you take a chemical test, which tonight I'm offering you a breath test. Um, if you're over the period amount of alcohol, which is 08 BAC, which is breath alcohol concentration. Okay. >> Um, your license to be suspended for 90 days. If you give a breath test and blow under 08, your license will not be suspended. >> Okay. >> Is that something you think you'd be willing to do tonight? >> Yeah, I'll do a breath breath test. While he's gone, I just have a couple questions for you. Um, what's a good email for you? And then where were you born at? >> Like the state or >> Yeah. >> Uh Ohio, Columbus, I think. Grant maybe. [snorts] And then where do you work at? >> Uh North Apartments. Um I'm a groundskeeper. Hey, [snorts] heat. [snorts] I don't understand why your [snorts] airport. Stop location. Stop [snorts] location. You still live at in English? >> No. In my wallet, there should be a card that I got one of my wallets, right? That changed it to 11:04. >> [snorts] >> Do you have any police officers in your family? >> Uh, not police officers, but um, wildlife rangers. Oh, I [snorts] was just curious. What was your last name? How old are you? Uh, 26. So, we're going to explain this to you again, >> but just so you can hear it from me and not everybody's trying to talk to you at once. If you are still deciding to do to give a breath test. All right. Um, you're going to blow into a tube. All right. When you do it though, a lot of people don't understand like just like you blow and you stop whenever you want. All right. >> No, you keep blowing. >> You keep blowing and you go you are going to be out of breath. All right. My friends have like a keychain that was like a breathalyzer thing. >> Oh, really? Yeah. It was kind of dumb, but also I don't know. >> So, just keep blowing until they tell me to stop. >> Yeah. Yeah. And eventually, I'm going to I'll tell you stop and then just pull it out. >> Mhm. Um, what can mess with this system is sucking in and out, stopping, starting it, getting spit in there. So, try to make sure that you have um, you know, as little amount of spit in your mouth as possible. Um, once again, >> minimal spit in your mouth. >> Yeah, you don't want to have like a bunch of spit. So, just like swallow whatever you got in there. >> Okay. So, you can go ahead and hold this and give me one second. Take a deep breath. And then you go ahead and start blowing when you're ready. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. As much as you got. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Do not stop. Keep going. Keep going. Haley. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. [music] [music] [music] >> [music] [music] >> Heat. Heat. >> [music] >> 84. I think one should sound. Thank you. All right. So you um the legal limit is for EA08.176. And then for driving privileges, it's when you go to court and that's when you pass for them. >> Okay. >> You have questions? >> Uh, no. Um, yeah. >> I don't want you. >> No, it was just like when you said I was like you can appeal this, I was like, well, I blew that. What am I supposed to appeal with that? So, it was just never Yeah. I think it means like it's only suspension. So you can appeal suspension. I think it means asking for driver privileges. >> And like I don't want you to like feel like you can't ask questions, right? Like you can ask me any questions. >> Thank you. better chasing the baby. or not. >> All right. So, Haley, from right right now, I'm just doing uh this random paperwork regarding this. Um after this, we'll get some pictures of pictures and fingerprints from you and then we'll try to get you out of here. All right. Um, if you want to try to like call a roommate or anybody that can come like I don't know the next how long you would take you like >> uh fingerprints and photographs like >> very long. Right. >> I don't know like 10. >> Right. So if you if you want to try somebody now you can and then come here [snorts] or um when we're done and do you rather call an Uber, you can do that too. >> Whatever you want. Do you want to try to call someone like somebody now or would you rather just >> I'd rather just wait till it's done cuz I don't think right now. >> No, I understand. I understand. Well, whenever you're ready, just let me know. Okay. >> [snorts] >> Do you want to talk this change to make sure I get all right? >> That's a dollar. >> Did you [snorts] have any other money on you besides this change? No, I didn't even know I had that change in my wallet. >> Did you get a dollar coin? >> No, I only had changes there for when I would play pool. [snorts] 51 2 >> What time is it? Um, right now it is 1:30 a.m. >> [snorts] >> Can I have you in a show right here where it says property inventory? Just right. And this is just a list of the stuff that came out and the change that I was in. Thank you. [snorts] You said both of your parents are lawyers. >> Yeah, that's why I don't want to call them. What do they what do they um >> my mom like uh for Chase Bank and my dad has his own own law firm, but he mainly does evictions and then um just kind of all over the place. >> Gotcha. I say I'm not the first to get arrested, but >> How many um you have? >> Three brothers. >> Three brothers. >> Yeah. My older two brothers were Oh no. >> Are [snorts] you the youngest? >> No. >> I'm the only girl. I'm a middle child. Second youngest. >> Okay. I'm going to have you stand in front of this gray wall here. >> Yeah. >> And then face toward the camera right. I don't know. I'm trying to look good for this. Hands, sides, back. Doesn't matter. >> Doesn't matter. Okay. And then can I have you take your glasses off for this one? You can put them back on now if you like. Thank you. >> And then I still have a couple more pictures. >> Okay. I'll need you to face to your left. Johnny, you take my glasses off yet? No, just for the one. Uh, not your right. What kind of car were you driving? >> Um, >> Hyundai. >> Um, Accent like >> Gotcha. >> I think it was a 2014. >> Close. It's 2013. [snorts] Do you need a water or anything? Are you sure? >> Yeah, I'll get you tomorrow. I'm just stressed. I'll call it. I don't want to [ __ ] call. Do you live with anybody? I do. One of my roommates is out with her boyfriend. It's her birthday went home and went to bed early. So, just got to get some things from you, too. [snorts] Sorry. Do you think the one at home would wake up if you call her? >> Maybe if I call her, if she doesn't answer, I know her boyfriend's with her still waiting. So, we're just going to do your fingerprints real quick and then I'll be done with everything that I have to do. This just helps the fingerprints come out better. Okay. >> Should I rub it in with my other hand? >> Yeah. the whole hand or just like >> uh don't put it on there yet. I have to wait for this. So, you see these pictures up here. We're going to kind of follow what it says up there. Okay. So, just the first four fingers. Okay. Sorry. Sorry. Okay. You're right somehow. Okay. So, for these next ones, just kind of leave your hand loose. We're going to roll your fingers back and forth. Okay. Try that again. Where your finger finger? Sorry. [snorts] Thank you. And then the side of your palm. For this one, I'm going to put a little pressure on it. >> Should I take my rings off? You don't have to unless I hurt you. >> Oh, no, no, no. I just didn't know if it would like affect it at all. >> Tell me if I hurt you though. You're good. You're so good. We'll try and run a little bit this on the side. Oh, wow. [laughter] Is that what that does? It just makes it like darker. Okay, that might be a little too dark. But yeah, that's what it does. It just helps me come out better. >> Now your lower palm. This part. >> So just here. >> Yep. Okay. And then your upper palms will be like your fingers up here. >> Should I take my rings off for that? Do you think >> it should be good? >> Okay. I'll switch your sides now. And we'll do the same thing with your left hand. Okay, your thumb. And then these ones will do the rolling again. thumb first. Thumbers What? Little bigger. Sorry. What do you think? It's a little sensitive. >> We'll do the side of your palm again. We're probably going to have to throw a little bit of this on there. And then you're okay. You're good. You can have a seat back down there. Thank you. And then you can call whoever you want to come get you. Okay. Do you have my phone? Cuz I don't have my numbers in my face. Yes. Thank you. [snorts] Okay. Where is this located at anyway? >> Um, the address is 3600 Tmont [music] Road. Let me write it down for you. No, it's okay. >> [snorts] >> And then whoever comes to get you, [music] just tell them to pull to the back where all the police cars are. >> Okay. >> I'm sorry. [laughter] I really don't want to be crying when I call [snorts] Hello. >> Hey, can you come pick me up? >> Uh, I'm just calling >> uh UA police station. Okay. It's the one on Tmont. Yeah. Just park near the police cars in the back, they said. Okay. My boyfriend's going to come get me. I'm sorry. No worries. Um, so we do have somebody else coming in somewhere else. >> Yes. I'm going to have you grab your phone. >> Okay. And I'll rest of your stuff. Thank you. >> So, we're just going to have you sit in this other room over here. Thank you. I should be here. mission of guilt. It just means that everything on this form is read to you and you're going to get your own copy. This is just your copy for um biggest >> the biggest thing on this form for you is going to be where your car is at. All right. Now, we have we have to tow your car. Again, that's not up to me. Okay. >> That's okay. Um, it's at Woody's Towing at this address. But before before you um can get your vehicle, you can go there and get whatever you need out of it if it's like super urgent. Like you can you can probably go in the morning um or whenever you wake up, but to actually get your car, you have to come back here um and grab a piece of paper. It's a release form. And why we do that is because like if I give you this now, >> this this agency thinks that you could go there. >> Yeah. They think Exactly. So that's why um it is kind of a pain, but that is why we do that. So you have to come back um to 3600 Tmont, which is this building, to grab this form. Um >> and they'll have my name and be like, "Hey, I'm here." Exactly. >> Yeah. They'll they'll already know. You'll take that form, go to what he's towing at this address, and then form. >> Yeah, with the form, and they'll release it to you. Okay. >> How much is it usually? >> Um, I I do not know to be honest. >> Okay. >> And um if you like have any if like tomorrow comes, you have questions about your car, you can always call what he's going to. All right. This is your citation. Okay. So, for this, you do have to appear in court. >> It's going to be it's going to be next Thursday, which is going to be October 17th, and it's going to be at noon. All right. If you can't make it on that day, >> I have work off that. >> Really? I say, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. >> I was going to Yeah, I was going to say if anything like comes up or what? Um, you can always call the court. This is a brochure for court information if you have any questions before you go to court or maybe even after. Um, tonight you are being cited for three things, okay? And we do this um, anytime we have an OVI, we site for everything, okay? If that makes sense. So, the reason why I stopped you, um, I was going over the line. >> Yeah. >> Right. Um, you were going over the lane, the OVI and the test for the OVI. Those are two separate things um for the ticket. Okay. Um, so one is going to be for um OVI, other one is going to be the breath test itself. All right. Since you're over the legal limit. dealing questions. Um, all I need from you is a signature right here. Um, again, it's not admission or guilt. It just means that the information on here is provided to you and you're going to get your own copy. Do you have any questions? >> Are you sure? Is that our coffee? >> Yeah, we send that coffee. >> Thank you. [snorts] >> So, October 17th, so next Thursday at noon. All right. >> So, like downtown, >> it's going to be at this building. Oh, >> in this building. >> Yep. Cuz this is it's Mayor's Court. Okay. [snorts] >> Any question? >> Like talking in front of people. I'm not a good public speaker. >> So this the first date is um an arraignment. All right. So an arraignment is do you know what an arraignment is? where like you like shows I've seen >> it's like [snorts] judge will call your name and we'll probably talk about the facts what happened and before they want you to do anything else they'll probably ask if you want an attorney or lawyer and if you do or don't they'll continue it maybe depending on like whatever you say but an arraignment is when you go and um make a plea of like guilty non-guilty or no contest that's all arraignment is um but the you know the court probably will ask you other questions and stuff like that, but that's that's all that data is. All right. Heat. Heat. Is it okay if I just wait for my right hand here? >> Yeah. Do you need me to move somewhere else? Wait for my ride. >> No. Well, so like in this situation, you're kind you're still technically in our custody. Like you have to be with us, unfortunately. No, no, that's fine. I was like I had to move in that room cuz somebody else was coming in like >> No, you're fine. >> Um, I'll just give you your property now. Um, Have you got a look at any of your property anyway? [snorts] >> Huh? >> Have you guys look at all your property that we took anyway? >> Uh, if you want to just look at look over I don't know what all is in here. You want to make sure everything's in there and if everything looks good that's in here and in there. Oh, >> you hold on to my ID or do I get that? >> Um, so your ID is >> if you don't have any questions about your property, I just need um initials right here and then a signature right there. >> [snorts] >> All right. So, you'll understand about how to get your car back. >> Yeah. Go back here, get a form for it, and then take it to them. >> Yeah. And then you can keep all your stuff in here still if you want. It's okay. Are >> you sure? >> Yeah. No, it's okay. Well, if you decide you want to use them here for you, So rest. This man is here. Uh when the people who are getting they have to come Mhm. >> No. When they let you know that they're here, we just walk out there and they just had to sign this pretty much saying that they're taking custody from us and then that's it. >> Yep. So, whenever he gets here, um, we'll just meet him out there. So, you just not have to come in. >> Do you know if he's getting pretty close? >> Yeah. I'm watching their location right now. >> Oh, really? >> Yeah. >> Is he with your roommate? >> Yeah. He's driving. She's riding. And they're right there. And we're here. So, >> Oh, so And if you refuse to take Ohio State. >> I'm definitely going to forget about that probably. Well, it does, but it's like how do you get to it? >> I think somebody showed me in my FTO at some point, but like I asked the >> I asked the question like if we needed the video, how do we get it? And they were like, "Oh, we don't know." >> But like I mean like, >> you know what I mean? Yeah. Alcohol 90day suspension. They should be getting here any minute, right? >> I hope so. My phone's on for >> Oh, is it? >> Yeah. Oh, yeah. >> All right. We can go ahead and walk out there and after we'll just wait for him up there. Can we help [snorts] you carry anything? >> Yep. You could just Sorry. Go to your right. All right, Haley, are you sure you do not have any questions about anything before you leave? So, really no honesty. >> Well, I appreciate you being really cooperative and polite. All right. Um, >> no, you don't have to apologize to me about anything. All right. >> No, I got to figure out how to apologize to my parents. >> Well, I I get these situations already like they're pretty high stress, but I always Everybody is at them down. Oh, never mind. Oh, that's them in their train. Trainer. I'm going to go grab my flashlight. So, hey, I always tell people in these situations, this does not make you a bad person at all. And nobody should ever make you feel like you're a bad person for this. Um, this is a learning experience and that's why we have this process because I'm sure you'll probably never do, you know what I mean? So, that's the whole the whole point of this. So, you're good to get in the car. >> Thanks for coming out. I appreciate it. >> Um, all I need from you is just >> a signature. Um, are you a friend? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. signature, printed name, phone number, email. It's you're just pretty much taking custody of her from us. >> Can you turn the letter? >> Yeah. >> Um, I'm sorry. >> Don't you don't have to apologize to me. I'm I really appreciate you guys coming out so late. >> I'm always >> Are you her roommate? >> Yeah. I I would do anything for her. But Haley, come here. It's going to be fine. Haley, it's going to be fine. And then uh signature >> right on this line. >> Yeah, that's fine. Are you the owner of the car? Uh, no. It was her car. >> Oh, got her. >> Do you need me to? >> Nah, you're good. You need the date time. >> Uh, sure. Is uh 10 October 11th and it is now 2:10. >> Cool. All right. Thanks again for coming out. You guys are good to go. >> Very nice. >> Yep. You guys enjoy the rest of your night. All right. >> Good. All right, it's pretty late. Take care. 8:23 My 09 has been released to a sober party. I'll be on 25 working on paperwork.
