on June 19th 2024 officers observed a vehicle being driven recklessly on the road in addition to its dangerous driving behavior the vehicle had extremely dark window tints that violated legal regulations concerned for Public Safety and the possibility of further violations the officers decided to initiate a traffic stop please can I just go to work like seriously you're going to catch another charge now I can bail out like would be one thing get it like the just based on our interaction you talked yourself into going to jail where did she say she's working she's a a respiratory therapist here she's on her way to work I send you all the money I had on my account you understand that's not how this works the officers signaled the driver to pull over and the vehicle compiled by stopping on the side of the road as the officers approached the car they noted the driver was a female the officer began questioning her about her driving and the illegal window tints which are safety and visibility concerns however the female driver was not Cooperative she continuously questioned the officer's reasons for stopping her and initiated an argument refusing to acknowledge her traffic violations hello hi your license registration Insurance reason I'm stopping you is the window 10 okay pretty I was like I'm not even doing anything I'm like I'm try I have to be at work in like 10 minutes so um I don't have a copy of my insurance but I have like you smoke in here I don't no I don't okay why does it smell like um I had somebody in here the other day that was and help me my ashtray but I have this and I can probably pull up my insurance for you here so there's no we in this car no so if I search it there's not going to be any okay um gosh how can I look thank despite the officer's attempts to explain the severity of her actions the driver ignored their explanations instead she created conflicting stories and deflected their inquiries the officer maintaining a professional demeanor requested the female driver to exit the vehicle to continue the investigation safely and without obstruction I got p over so that's a little not funny I'm right here in the parking lot dude like that's all right I got you on speaker I got to go I'm sorry I'm just letting you know all right bye I'm going to have you hop out all right can I please just go to work please I have to be there like I understand that but I think you have in the car and that's why you're so nervous and it smells like I'm not like that nervous like I don't like getting late to work like can you please like please can I just go to work like seriously you're going to catch another charge okay so you can get out of the car and don't make a poor decision right now marijuana is a serious misdemeanor if you take off right now it's a felony and if you fight with me it's another misdemeanor turn off your car I'm just so worried like that God I don't like being late and I've had people in my car too that like just leave stuff in here God I don't want to to do with this the car the car this is so awful the car I can't please can I please go to work please please oh my God please please ma'am please I I need to go to work please I'm asking you to step out of the car okay you've already pulled the door back in so you're already I wasn't trying you're already interfering with what I got going on if you if you P car like just listen if you push this further I'm going to charge you with interference because you're not letting me in my my back off are here conduct our inter our investigation which is the smell of marijana and I assume that that is why you're freaking out right now cuz you know that there in the car smoking and my car too what's your first name is it Sarah is that your first name yes okay Sarah there leave stuff in my car but I don't want to have to be dealing with that if there's stuff in my car s if there's no weed in this car like you're telling me but if there isn't I don't well I can't control that so let's cross that bridge when we get there but right now you sitting here arguing with me is wasting time can I like please just like you know that you're not going to go to work right now that's not an option I'm going ask you one last time okay to step out of the car on your own will if you do not do that I'm going to have to pull you out of the car come on is there any one all right face into the car put your hands down your bag for me stop you just ask one question I'm not trying to fight I'm not trying to fight stuff God you just want to grab her right now can I please just ask something please like how how does it turn into like how but how does it turn the reason you're getting put in handcuffs CU you continue to like weed but like my tender windows but it just all those reasons so stay right here oh my goodness this is just oh my God I over all right walk back to this car please okay I've had about enough of this little shade you're doing I'm not when the driver stepped out of the vehicle the officers attempted to gather further details about her behavior and the situ situation however the driver remained argumentative and insisted they let her go she claimed she was a respiratory therapist and pleaded for leniency attempting to leverage her professional background to avoid consequences do you have anything in your pockets yes I do what what do you have in your pockets I probably I got some I got some C in my pocket probably I don't know I don't have any in my well just so you know she's reaching it I'm I'm I was just trying to grab it I don't have nothing where at a minimum right now you're going to jail for interference pocket no it's the one I just dropped I'll hold on to her you throw some gloves budy yeah my God stop walking around just stop oh my God can I please just say I don't know if 462 is continuing or not can you ever come up here for a search damn it is that all you use or what else am I going to find in the car despite her repeated requests the officers adhered to their Duty and focused on the matter at hand as the driver continued to resist cooperation and argue with the officers they determined she was unwilling to comply with the investigation the officers decided to take her into custody based on her uncooperative Behavior and the escalating situation before placing her in custody the officers followed standard protocol by requesting the assistance of a female officer to conduct a search of the female driver simultaneously they conducted a search of the vehicle for any additional evidence or Contraband how much did you have left in here embarrassed right now how did you have left in here I'm respiratory therapist how much did you have in here um uh a bum's Worth or something maybe like a gram or something must have fell in your pocket when you tried to stuff it in there then oh no there's just another baggie that would make more sense we're waiting for a female officer that way she can do a more thorough search nothing tucked anywhere and your bra or anything like that okay how much marijuana is in the car like a half ounce I think probably I don't know I had someone leave their weed in there the other day and I never got it out of there and I don't know there's probably in my ash right now you have the right to remain silent anything you say you can will be used against you in a court of law you have the right to an attorney if you cannot afford attorney want to be uh appointed to represent you if you wish okay you can decide at any time to not answer any questions or make any statements you understand that I've never even been to jail ever you understand that Sarah yes I'm like so scared because so we' got a female officer here that's going to do a search person found a little bit of in her right pocket but I haven't searched the rest so okay do you got anything now cuz I'm okay no all right I'll just have you take one step big there spread your feet for me okay can you stand up straight I'm sorry I wasn't trying to do I was just trying to see where did you put that in your pocket when I stopped you you were going to go to work with that in your pocket I have these scrubs on like I've worked like the last like 5 days but I didn't even like you didn't know you had cocaine in your work pants okay I really didn't like that I didn't like I know I had like well I'm going to search rest your well your car and then I'll be back and we'll talk have a seat good reminder on the gloves yeah what that I didn't put gloves on you weren't you weren't doing it and we're pulling out I'm like why don't you just put on gloves tried to open the door and she pulls the door back in and closes it she's not been she's not been super Cooperative she's just freaking out she say she's got a half ounce of we in here [Applause] yeah where did she say she's working she's a a respiratory therapist here she's on her way to work yeah and you can tell she's under the influence right now oh yeah she's been doing this yeah during the search the officers discovered a significant quantity of illegal drugs and controlled substance inside the vehicle this discovery drastically changed the nature of the investigation adding serious criminal charges to what initially began as a traffic stop the presence of illegal substances raised concerns about the driver's activities and intentions probably for restory therapy don't you have to be yeah yeah I think up maybe she's got to stay up well I do that I got some here oh I got several bags here well two bags half an ounce though no I'm not quite at a half an ounce but yeah I don't think here well she gets on the phone with I assume her supervisor and says something about she's going to be late and I'm like I don't think so cuz you're extremely nervous and it smells like weed so he what do you think these are that looks like Advil yeah that's looks like oh here we go she stuffed this one too you find more little blue pill in there too oh there are different ones in there there's a little blue one I can't tell if it's an m30 or what oh okay was in this black bag I'm charging with interference too oh I would say so that was ridiculous pulling the door back shut yeah and you told her how many and she resisted as we're putting her in cups not crazy but enough enough that she was fening up and not complying that'd be kind of crazy if she had m30s I bet you that's what that is they should say it they're usually stamped yeah they are I just didn't pull it out and get it yet pyton was going to nothing over there this is just lunch box this isn't I mean it's probably this is not a half an ounce so I don't know me try the trunk I guess any uh class yeah uh not more than what I already have you got any drug bag I think I might have is that an m30 it should be stamped if it is falling yeah I hear what she's not the most cooperative where are these blue ones no I don't think so no T4 kind of an old crappy one but it'll work the last one's nothing okay I'm going to uh does she have like registration of that glove oh no I have that back in my car actually after securing the evidence and ensuring the scene was safe the officers placed the driver in their patrol vehicle for transport to the police station throughout the journey the driver continued to argue pleading for release and attempting to justify her actions however the officers remain steadfast in their Duty prioritizing the enforcement of the law and Public Safety do you remember the right that I read to you okay what are the the pills in that bottle they just add to in yeah just the um ad liquid gel and I have my birth control in there for tonight uh where was all the at um honestly I think I had a little container somewhere but I don't I think I may that was pretty much empty okay um like a a pipe I think and like a little um like a a little or a little zipper little thingy um but I don't know like other than that honestly that cuz I haven't I don't know okay I'm just so tired of I'm I'm sorry I'm not I'm not trying to like SOB at anybody it's just my old job to my whole life and I've never been to jail I've never been in trouble I've never I do smoke but I'm like but I'm not trying to like I need to call my work and tell them like if I can bail out like would be one thing I get it like the just based on our interaction you talked yourself into going to jail because you decided not to comply with what I was telling you to do I just felt like it escalated too I don't because of your actions yes I just get nervous being late for work too like I was pulling up like cuz I stopped to like grab some like um what are you using for just not in a good spot okay just depressed I guess honestly well I can't imagine that that would like I don't have like a lot and work stressful I'm a respiratory therapist I'm on the EO team and I I'm a really responsible person you know and I know I smoke I know it's not legal and I know Coke's not either and right when I had to get out of the car it just just sucks and like I do anything just like fail and pay whatever like you know just I just get nervous when I'm like going to be late and I wasn't trying to be like resistant of you guys like I really don't I'm crying in here cuz I don't want to lose my job this my whole life like I'm a really good person I've never even had no you understand that I can't just make this go away for you I mean you have you have can I do anything I mean there's not there's nothing I send you all the money I had in my account you got to understand that that's not how this works so I am just letting you know you're going to be charged with the possession SC go to jail like I don't even know I got to call and tell them I'm not coming but I don't want to say I'm arrested well yeah why don't you wait on that unless you want to call them now I can I can let you call them but I don't know that's up to you I would I would probably think about that before you do well they don't have nobody in the office and I'm supposed to be on the echo team tonight I'm supposed to be in the office at 6:00 and okay well I mean I just got to like think about it when I have people in my car and people smoke and cigarettes too and they dump in my ashtray and I'm like well I mean that wasn't why your car smell your car smell cuz you have I mean like I couldn't even smell it like I didn't even smoke it you're the envir you're in the environment it's raw weed ziplock baggy yeah I guess it is I mean I didn't make it up said it smelled we and I found you know um do you just think about whether or not want to make a call and I can do that for you if you want but I would think about that for a minute all right she she said it has birth control yeah it was um this 465 I did find this in her what was it it's just wa cartridge take case number and curl Keys it with the vehicle it's just a just a cartridge in there so I probably just go with your charge copy and what's that base B but go was right next to it so I don't know if you want to do something your charg right yeah I would just throw this in property then too with the weed charge you throw it in that bag this one this too not the Vape I'll take the cartridge um that was where again this uh that black bag black bag on the front okay and that's the only thing you found right okay yeah her spoon in her in her pocket next to it in the baggie and then the other yeah I know she's tweaking right now so if you want to do the impound I'm going to work on the booker right now so all right all right H her hop out you're done step out the vehicle for me please your Ste out the face vehicle going change here and here's the thank you upon arrival at the police station the officers began the formal processing of the driver this included documenting the charges and securing the evidence found in her through here just go straight towards them this later the female appeared in court to face charges of possession of drug paraphernalia possession of Controlled Substances traffic violations and interference with an official act the court reviewed evidence from the incident including her reckless driving uncooperative Behavior and the Contraband discovered during the search these charges
