on October 21st 2024 a police intervention was prompted by a disturbing domestic incident at a local Salon officers were called to the scene after a woman physically attacked her daughter following accusations that the daughter had accused her mother of stealing money from their shared salon business hands behind your back upon their arrival at the salon the officers were met with a chaotic scene the daughter had been severely hit by her mother and the the officers needed to act swiftly to ensure the safety of both parties involved as they entered the salon they immediately focused on the woman the aggressor the officers quickly assessed the atmosphere in the salon to ensure the situation was under control before starting their investigation Jayla yes are you the mom yeah okay do you work here both of you work here yes we boss me and my daughter okay so what happened no we have problem because she don't like it clean she talk a lot of with me I say relax please and she um she told me all the time oh no this my stuff this my stuff I say okay I put the money have Have and Have so you she may make me crazy and I who day you hit her yeah did she hit you back huh huh did she hit you back no no no she don't she never she never touch me never okay in my life but she make me crazy because she talk a lot of [ __ ] I work every day seven days a week I put my money here she put the money so this Salon is half and half now she to she told me she go to New York last week and she told me oh maybe you put the cash and your car I say no never you can check my phone I never so both of you work here yes with the boss together with the boss okay and she thought that you took money yeah and she told me and I'm hungry because I say I don't touch never mon name because we need pay the son yeah so that's the officers approached the woman calmly and began questioning her about the incident from the outset the woman cooperated making the officer's job easier despite the violence she had just committed the woman did not res the officer's questioning or display any signs of aggression her behavior was notably calm and non-confrontational and the officers praised this as it allowed them to gather information quickly and efficiently without further tension or resistance what the argument was today that's what you guys were fighting about the money yeah and then you hit her yeah how many times no I said yeah I don't talk to the money what are you talking about oh my god did you hit her more than one time yeah maybe I don't know I know it's not good but she make me crazy she talk sh [ __ ] all the time okay I'm the mom I work everything she and me I don't know what happened okay so you hit her in the face looks like did she is that how she got her Mark I don't know okay did you hit her in the face and the did you what did you pull her hair uh-huh and like hit it and do you pulled her hair and hit her in the face yeah did you hit her anywhere else did you hit her anywhere else no no okay and that's your daughter correct yes it's my daughter all the time everything good but she's very stressed and I'm very stressed because it's the the business is very slow I know it's not correct but she talk a lot of [ __ ] I never touch the money I say you can check my bank the money is in the tickets so she said okay I call the police okay it's okay okay do you have um ID on you was there anyone else in here when that happened say was there anyone else in here when this happened no no no the officers began by asking the woman why she had physically assaulted her daughter she explained that the incident started as a verbal argument but quickly escalated according to her the situation became increasingly heated and during the discussion she lost control of her emotions and started hitting her daughter my bort do you have a driver's license or no no do you drive or no no no she's very stressed I'm very stressed because the salon is very slow and we need pay rent we need pay the salon because the last lawyer okay they char charge uh 70,000 and I put it half and half money and now we need pay 7 7,6 for this 20 so she a stress and I'm stress and she said you touch the money I say no never why you think this she live to she go to New York sometimes for one week and she think you I told you the money I said no everything is in the car do you guys live together yeah physical before no okay my what did you come from Mexico how long have you lived here in 3 months three months and then you moved here and you move in by only three months okay you're trying to get this this business up and running but it's kind of just struggle okay the officers continued their questioning asking if the daughter had retaliated in any way the woman admitted that her daughter had not hit her back which clarified that the mother's actions were the only instance of violence in the altercation as the investigation continued the woman provided further insight into the emotional context of the incident and she didn't hit you back at all she didn't push you or anything no no she never touch me okay I never uh have problems with my daughter yeah in my country and here never now maybe it's a lot of stress and she talk a lot of [ __ ] and I'm make me crazy and I say stop shut up you need clean the salon she don't clean the salon and I push the stuff and I said oh my God clean so you own it with her and one other person no only me and her just her okay and it's it's it's struggling not too many people coming in here or no no no okay cuz the Sal is new so how long have you guys been open for H how long have you been open for this three months oh 3 months too okay okay hopefully business picks up hopefully business picks up so that you guys can be successful and we do everything she's she do everything I pay a lot of a lot of class for she know and I pay a lot a lot of class in Mexico she revealed that her business a salon they operated together had been facing significant financial difficulties the salon was not generating enough income and this had caused considerable stress for the woman the financial strain had made it difficult for her to cope with her emotions and added pressure to the already tense situation like for cosmetolog like for school to do nails yeah Nails microblading body scooting massage everything I pay everything all the time so when she talk shed today I'm I'm crazy I say oh my God I pay everything for you what are you talking about I don't touch money never yeah I don't use alcohol I don't use drugs I don't use nothing she she don't use nothing too do you keep money in a safe or something how did what why did she accuse you of taking money because I say okay this is my this is mine okay I don't have no more problems with you I'm leaving it's okay I I U my staff I I and she and I say oh you remember to tell ,000 two weeks ago I buy the the stuff and she said yes okay I need my money I know you don't pay my money I want my staff that's it and she say no you have this money because I got new J and maybe you charge in in cash so maybe you 8 days you car you um you have my the cash I say I don't have the cash I have only in car you can check my phone what you talking about yeah and she said no yeah you I'm crazy and I said shut up stop so you bought all this stuff and she thought that you were like holding cash the woman explained that the argument had started over her daughter's accusations that money had been taken from the business the daughter accused her mother of stealing money from the salon which intensified the tension I PID $2,000 uh $500 to weeks ago and I say okay this is my stuff because I know the money you don't give me back okay oh okay so you bought them with like your own money or company money no no my money your money mhm and she thought that you were taking the company money you she thought that you were using the company money uhhuh she think I use the company money I said no okay all right that I see that now are you guys closed for the day no no what's that we open 11:30 and we close 7 7 7 7 days a week okay was it somebody's birthday My Son Your Son how old is he 14 okay is it just you have a son a daughter and do you have any other kids two daughters and one son [Music] okay those are the stress from the financial losses and the accusation from her daughter who she had hoped would support her made the situation much worse the woman overwhelmed by the combination of financial difficulties and emotional strain admitted that she lost control and struck her daughter her daughter worked here too no no she dop oh my Prospect I know it's no no good but she took a lot of sh I say oh my God I help you all the time why you say that maybe because there's just a lot of frustration cu the business isn't doing know it's very stress because I put it half money and she put it half the money in the last last own she said okay the salon is $7,000 and I said we have only 45,000 and she said no problem I say um can you wait for me 3 months and I pay more among the rest and she said okay so she and me work every day every day yeah for save this money this 20 um November 20 we need pay the pay the loan off M and how much was it [Music] 7,600 for 3 weeks because we pay cash 45,000 Oh you mean like the for the rent no this is separate the rent we pay 7,000 just for the Sal oh okay I get it we pay 2,500 for the rent yeah I get all right I know you kind of already explained everything to the officer here you kind of want to walk me through what happened okay tell him what you told me about what happened between you guys she's my daughter and she buy the salon with me together right this Salon is 70,000 and we pay only cash 45,000 3 months ago and I told with the last owner and I say can you wait for me three more months and I say and I pay 20 every 20 the rest the lady say yes I work every day with my daughter she's she's um s she's not married sometimes she go to New York what happened to like what happened today days okay like last week last week she go 8 days to New York for vacation mhm now she don't want any clean she don't want the garbage and I say please Carly clean because I'm tired all the time I clean okay and she say no she's hungry and the woman's confession was crucial in understanding the root cause of the altercation it became clear that the violence was not an act of malice but rather a result of overwhelming emotional and financial stress this perspective helped the officers understand the woman's mind during the incident and say we need pay the rest this 20 okay you don't a lot of stress with with the business she F exactly a lot of stress with the business because we open seven days all the time not no people we need pay the rent the rest the money okay and she said what start oh my God maybe when I go New York you you got the money in cash and I said no Carly I never tou you the money and she make me crazy because she say she talking a lot of [ __ ] I say okay don't worry don't pay me my money this is your Sal I want my stuff and I'm leaving it's okay you said you were leaving yeah I say I'm leaving you wanted a Sal okay I know my money is never back because you don't never pay my money but it's okay and she talk a lot a lot a lot of [ __ ] and she make me crazy and I push and I say I don't tou the money I don't touch cash you can check my bank and she said no maybe when I go New York maybe you Char and cash and your money and your um car and your count right I say no why you say that so she made me czy and I see and and I okay um how many times did you did you push her then during all this oh I don't know I touched it in the head and I put in and she said sit down and then she said why you fight me and I say because you took I take money I don't touch nothing because we need pay why you talking AAS mucho okay she never toou me she never things just kind of hit a boiling boiling points and kind of spilled over huh yeah she I never fight with my daughter because she wor only with me I pay a lot of class for her because I wanted she save the money the life and my other daughter but she took a lot of [ __ ] so I'm very stressed for the money no it's very slow no people and she told me a lot of [ __ ] okay and it just just kind of snapped at that point huh mhm all right um what happened when she said she was calling the police did you try taking the phone huh did you try taking the phone from her when she said she was calling the police yeah I say okay you can call the police okay call the police I know it's no good but she talk and talk and talk and talk and that make me crazy I think it's it's normal I know I'm not supposed I don't know okay all right uh call stand for or stand for despite the woman's willingness to cooperate and her explanation for the situation the officers informed her that she would be arrested for domestic battery the woman did not resist arrest acknowledging the seriousness of the problem she agreed to the arrest without objection which made the process easier for the officers once she was in custody the officers ensured she was securely transported to the local police station for further investigation hands behind your back all right you are under ARR at this point um presented in court to face charges of domestic battery her admission of guilt and the circumstances surrounding the altercation were considered during the court proceedings the judge considered her emotional distress and finan struggles which contributed to her actions however the severity of the offense still required legal consequences depending on the Judgment the court ultimately decided on
