investigation targeting adults who want to meet with kids an investigator pretending to be a young girl in the anonymous social networking app whisper was messaged by a 43y old man named Chad who was into younger girls but knew it would get him in trouble when the investigator said quote as long as it doesn't freak you out that I'm 15 Chad responded not at all I told you that's really appealing to me on November 7th our suspect drove approximately 30 minutes from Burlington Wisconsin to a pre-arranged spot in Mount Pleasant Wisconsin little did he realize that an entire team of Law Enforcement Island officers confront a convicted sex offender accused of deploying a drone to spy on a woman in her bathroom the accused named Christopher Jones already has a prior conviction let's see how this said some things to us right we would like to clear this up if you would like to come down and speak with Detective that's going to be handling this case and clear the air today we we would appreciate call to arrange for transport for him Christopher Jones was charged with one felony count of video voyerism that comes with a maximum penalty of a $5,000 fine or 3 years in jail in May 2023 police set up a trap for a 56-year-old man who arranged a meeting with a 15-year-old boy unfortunately for him the boy was actually an undercover police officer the old man told him in detail about sexual acts he wanted to perform with the boy the meeting was set and the cops were there to meet the offender window up fell off he saw my message to come in grabbing something in the passenger seat let me know if he goes to that door I got to duck down door if he goes towards the other door if he does that there's potentially he sees a squad car getting out why don't you ask him if he's walking in my door man swears that it's his first time the police question him about his meth dealer and he gives him up then they come to the question of his phone I would like you consent to search the contents of your cellular phone and make a download and download a copy of your phone um with that I would I'll be seizing your phone as evidence but I would like consent to to search it and download it would you consent to me searching your phone but if I don't then I'm going to write a warrant for it but if I go through it with your consent and I one way or another you're going to get it right I be honest with me I won't speak for a judge um but I believe that there's sufficient probable cause to write a warrant to search your phone go ahead and search it okay what's your passcode once he's given enticement for attempting to provide drugs in possession of methamphetamine in the end he was released on a $5,000 cash Bond and is also moved to another state a man was caught on surveillance camera attempting to lure and then drag a 16-year-old girl to his car after taking her phone he scuffled with her while she desperately tried to hang on to a wire fence when the man couldn't subdue her he threw her phone at her a witness was able to provide a description of the vehicle and the suspect which led to the car being found by the police at a gas station a few hours later we got to talk to they understand the situation correctly they asked multiple questions this protects them from misinterpreting the circumstances and failing to identify the appropri suspects when the APB is issued were charged with luring or enticing a child and causing a child to become delinquent now now I'm not the judge but I think if they're found guilty they're going to spend some time in jail child predators are a part of our society and unfortunately they do unimaginable things to the children they pray on it's important to keep our eyes open to spot unsafe environments and to keep the police informed about any suspicious activity this becomes even more important in an age where so many children are kidnapped and suffer some of the worst Fates imaginable until next time stay safe out there
