[Music] oh my God Is that real oh my God [Music] please we often see officers confront all kinds of crazy people there are sometimes however when cops face dangerous animals [Music] potentially on a Sunday evening in Circleville Ohio a 72-year-old man named Ronald Clifton lay injured in a field on his farm he frantically called 911 and told the dispatchers he'd suffered a severe injury to his arm from an animal bite when asked to elaborate he told the dispatcher something very surprising Derby Road what's going on I got it back by a zebra you got attacked by a what the squad quick okay what attacked you a zebra a zebra yes a horse okay are you is there anybody with you that's injured or just you it's just me right now okay where's the zebra at in the field with me I got a far here Ronald had been burning brush on the farm when he turned his back on the male zebra and it attacked him for the Ohio Department of Agriculture zebras aren't listed as wild or dangerous animals which means they can be owned as pets okay is your AR okay we're starting a medic now listen is your arm still attached you what did he did he bite your arm did he oh hell yeah okay is it still attached is it still attached her come before get me again okay okay listen F get me a give me a helicopter okay is your arm still attached sir I don't think so you don't think so are you heavily bleeding yeah okay do you have any kind of cloth or anything you can put around your arm and hold pressure I can't even get up huh I can't even get off the ground okay while police headed to the property the dispatcher tried to keep Ronald calm but because of his location and because of Ronald's preoccupation with watching the male zebra to make sure it didn't attack him again 911 lost contact with Ronald when police arrived on scene it was a Grizzly sight [Music] is that the only Ze around there's three or four them okay in order to reach Ronald the officers had to use their car horns to scare the zebra away Ronald had hemorrhaging on his right arm just below the elbow to stop the bleeding police and EMS administered a tourniquet potentially that's you T you I think this is it we need to expose the W just to make sure stop the bleeding okay it's it ain't going to be as bad as you think well I know but I don't want you don't lose my arm just to we need to we need to move okay we need to get away from this flame first of all or a table yeah we need to expose the wound here okay I need my stand up I don't know pull me up all right me let me get I'm do this strap there you go do your shirt okay TR come on in you go we can walk back towards the uh let's get by the Cruisers the man was taken to an ambulance and by this point his family arrived and the officer talked with them to gather more information that's when they noticed the zebra coming closer and closer is there a way for him for you to keep him back we're trying not to shoot him but yeah the family told officers not to turn their back on the zebra because that's when they tend to attack they told the offic ERS that if they needed to they could put down the zebra for everyone's safety don't turn your head right in right the cops continue to stand guard and keep a close watch on the zebra while Ronald's family and EMS looked after him inside the ambulance but after a very tense standoff the zebra charged towards the officers they yelled at the animal to stop but it failed to do so sorry what it is man I don't know with no other choice the officers had to put down the zebra one round was all it took the officers documented the incident and Ronald was taken to the closest emergency hospital in Tracy California Officer aosta had already been dispatched once to a certain neighborhood due to complaints about an aggressive dog on the 25th of June 2019 she returned again residents had called in worried about the dog a Great Pyrenees being loose again [Applause] [Applause] okay hi handsome hi [Applause] [Music] [Applause] hi hi handsome come here I know a neighborhood Resident was able to get the Pyrenees into their backyard to contain him calmly and gently the officer approached the dog with her catch pole at the ready Hey Big Boy hi Big Boy hi Big Boy come here come here I know you remember me hi hi Big Boy hi I know officer aosta did her best to keep the animal calm but the dog paced back and forth and would not let officer aosta get close to him when the dog tried to climb Over The Back Fence that's when aosta had the opportunity to use the catch Pole it's okay come here come here everything I know hi big boy I know it's okay it's okay you're okay sh you're okay no no no no no no I know I know I know I know it's okay it's okay it's okay the dog was was cornered and became extremely agitated and the officer knew the dog would get much more aggressive due to being afraid this however was her best opportunity to catch the dog I know I know it's [Music] okay okay I know no you're too smart officer aosta finally Loop the end of the catch pole around the pene head and this became a wrestling match to control the animal the Pyrenees became extremely aggressive and began to bite at the catchpole rod it's okay here way [Music] it's it's okay the Pyrenees was Gator rolling a term used by Animal Control to describe when a dog rolls over to try and release or brush off restraints the officer was just about to get the dog into her van when the dog lunged at her and tried to run under the car to [Music] escape Great Pyrenees are powerful dogs and officer aosta was growing tired of handling this very strong animal nearby she spotted a bystander and she asked the man to help her by letting the cage ramp down hi sir do you mind helping me out for just a second underneath there's that little door handle there's a there's a um a ramp underneath my truck right under there yes and if you just put your hand and pull it out perfect let's go handsome I know I know I know good boy all right it's okay you're fine you're fine at the animal shelter a volunteer tried to take fox tailes out of the dog's fur through the kennel and the dog also tried to bite her officer aosta labeled the dog a quote unquote fear biter on the evening of December 29th 2021 Sheriff Kevin rambos of colier County responded to an emergency call inside the Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens in Florida reportedly a zoo employee had been attacked by one of the animals hey is the Airship they got a crew with the in case this thing got out rolling around okay hey you got a way to get in yeah was one sh fire Ms everybody's here we're trying to get in this place can you hey is there anybody inside police and the EMS were outside the zoo but the doors were locked because the zoo was closed for the night and soon the details of the scary scene waiting for them inside the zoo became clear I can call my boss yeah somebody got attacked by the tiger inside ripped her arm off oh my are you serious yes we're serious you hear all the lights on Sirens this isn't a joke all right where are the tigers at hey we got the keys I got come on where would they be able to put their arm where's the tiger at yeah you hear oh my God the staff at the zoo and the sheriff could hear a man's voice screaming for help and frantically they raced towards where the noises were coming from the man's voice they heard belonged to 26-year-old River rosenquist the man was there working on behalf of a third party cleaning company oh my God Is that real me please please oh my God you got a tranquilizer River did not have permission to be inside the first barrier let alone put his hand inside the Tiger cage the zoo managers believe the man purposely broke protocol to try and pet the Malaysian tiger named Ekko instead of behaving like a friendly house cat the tiger clinched its massive jaw down on River's arm [Music] [Music] one Charlie 10 shots fir come here come here he right here Jak it on me here here's the unfortunately the officer tried to get the tiger to release River's arm by making noise and distracting the animal but the tiger would not let go causing the officer to make the only decision he could think of shooting the tiger after being fired upon the tiger retreated back into his [Music] enclosure okay you're okay we got you yep notify the field Lieutenant have respond I need the light no oh no it oh no is right it's a terrifying situation that could have well been avoided if the man had not breached the safety barriers on purpose and stuck his hand Inside the Cage of one of the world's deadliest animals you can it down one more time I don't know where he went we tried man I say we tried to get him off you did the right thing I'm not doubting that decision at all I don't know he was pulling him through the fence had his leg in his guys have a knife you guys have a knife got it good you got it and then yep yep now now we're good we're good one two knowing the tiger might be distressed and angry a drone was launched by the zoo to determine where the tiger was and assess his injuries a veterinarian from the zoo tranquilized the tiger and then entered the enclosure and discovered the tiger had di from The Gunshot shot wound start moving just start moving I don't I don't need F uh hey hold this I got this is all has to be held okay all right oh the scene's over here he actually pulled him through right here do he was pulling them okay where is I don't know I had to where he was pulling him through right here Jesus Christ and he had his he had his arm in his mouth as I got here trying to pull him through the fence where's he at right now I know I know where he I don't know where where did he go do you know did shot I heard shot yep you took off okay you need to hold this for me okay I got you I got you hey how do we get out of here back this way follow the path all the way according to the zoo Administration an investigation's currently underway and this will determine whether criminal charges are merited unfortunately the Malaysian tiger is a critically endangered animal and this tragic incident should serve as a cautionary tale Florida's home to one of the world's most deadliest reptiles the alligator at 1 in the morning in Tampa Florida on March 29th 20123 multiple officers were called to the scene of a scaly Predator roaming the streets yeah once he's tired again a 9-ft alligator was ominously hanging out not far from the home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Raymond James Stadium the officers blocked off the road for safety the gator continued whipping its tail aggressively and hissing at the officers each time they tried to come close or touch it he's getting there I know the wildlife Conservatory says when spring hits alligators come out and they're hungry to eat anything after multiple attempts to encourage the alligator to crawl away the cops came up with a different plan they fashioned a catch and release noose out of yellow rope and then used the device as a lasso yeah pull him out a little bit you ready you the you want to jump on him huh yeah I'm going to take the head these very brave officers had to sit on the alligator's body to weigh the Beast down as the other officer used tape to close the alligator's mouth an alligator's bite force is about 2,000 lb per square in in comparison the bite force of a lion is only 600 PSI keep the weight on him give me one more one more with for weight and a towel to cover his eyes up hey guys back off um you're fine the way you got it I just need tap uh I just need something to cover his eyes so he chills out just cover his head like behind his nose like where my hand left hand's at [Music] just go underneath the Rope like right right here where you all right break that off by now a crowd of bystanders had gathered around and were a gast at the officers risking their lives to capture the wild beast but taping the alligator's mouth shut wasn't the last thing they had to do the officer then instructed his colleagues to also tape the alligator's legs is his legs together behind me I have him like back so you're just taking his yeah like behind his back like your handcuffing no all right yeah up you're going to do the same thing with his back legs arresting an alligator was probably not on the list of possible situations that the officers expected that night the officers then tried to take the Rope from the alligator's nose but the Rope was CAU tight within its large sharp teeth got yeah that's not coming out right now yeah you just cut it right there no it's he's he's got it a deep in do a damage the officers then taped the tip of the alligator's nose so there was no possible way he could open his jaws and break the tape [Music] open where are we [Music] he's warming back up again later the Police Department issued a statement that the alligator had been taken for a ride an alligator Trapper who helped law enforcement that night said he was very impressed with the job done by the officers on August 22nd 2023 in Irving Texas a resident called police with an interesting situation he informed them there was an animal in the parking lot that prevented him from getting into his vehicle Officer Steve Burrus arrived on scene just before Animal Services arrived you got any neighbors huh [Music] the police department there specifically sent out officer burus because apparently officer burus had a hidden talent for handling Wildlife especially the long and slippery kind the police department nicknamed officer burus the snake Whisperer yeah I don't know if could be neighbors yeah it has to be yeah so how do you guys well that's a good question I don't know if they'll come out for this I don't know where to put him now no I can't let him loose he's not indigenous to this area officer burus was correct about that in fact this fanged animal was actually named Miss Bonnie but she' escaped her in closure in one of the nearby homes officer burus continued to try and keep the animal calm God what a beautiful snake he is pretty no he's fine he's fine oh he's got a ungodly amount of teeth pythons have hu lots teeth they're all angled backwards so that if you bite you you can't pull them off come here back come here come here what a beautiful snake officer bur successfully kept Miss Bonnie contained until Animal Services arrived certainly living up to his name as the snake Whisperer when Irving Animal Services arrived on scene officer burus carried Miss to the van cage but putting her inside proved to be difficult all right so we going put her on my truck um I need to call my supervisor to see if we weed the owner for her okay um if we want to give her hello sweet girl if we want to give her back if we want to give him 24 hours Caesar what are we going to do did you say what kind of B was she is uh red okay did you get your picture with her oh I got lots of pictures it's going to go on the Department's social media page I'm sure everyone well everyone will be excited to see oh she's got a good grip on got hold the wheel well than come on Bonnie officer burus in the animal services department successfully captured Miss Bonnie and transported her to their facilities in Texas it's illegal for anyone to own a snake over 6 ft long with Miss Bonnie being 8 ft long she found her new home at a Wildlife Rehabilitation sanctuary in elgrove California a man was taking a walk around his neighborhood when a German Shepherd jumped out of a vehicle in a driveway approximately 10 ft away and bit the man several times a California Court labeled the dog dangerous but the female loner contested that claim the cops then conducted a follow-up visit with the owner yeah so I need to see all of your what was that at 5:00 before 5:00 I'll come there no the inspection's here at the house it's not at Animal Services um so I need to see your leash and you see your mule guys don't even give me an appointment you don't guys don't call me back animal shelter I went to the animal control yesterday at 12:00 I waited there for one hour until they were open I did everything I got the license I got everything he everything and let me talk for a second police were there to conduct a court-ordered final inspection where the owner was supposed to demonstrate that she'd successfully trained her dog and that it was no longer a danger to society I needed to speak I need to see your mule I need to see your leash I need to see your panel yes I do okay then can you go get it I'm going to get a c up here you come inside this is house get the what I'm sorry I'm not going to bring the kennel outside for you so the kennel should be in the backyard ground in yes it is okay so do you want to grab your other stuff the muzzle the leash the insurance the proof of training all that everything yeah I have if I can you want right there yes I don't have to come inside you can thr it to me right here put everything down and give me a license the woman claimed that she didn't need any of the mentioned items because the court had given her a license for the dog she also claimed the police police had accused her dog of wrongdoing and they were lying okay what what is this this is just a that is a certification for the vicious animal this is for this is not that this is not even from animal services for Cameron okay there's the vaccinations okay I have a freaking badge from them from them yeah I've seen I've seen this so I need to see the liability insurance I don't like it he talk about because I don't want the neighbors that's this is my parents home okay you are ask my parents I don't live here not I need to see I don't here we don't live here do you understand that well it's understandable the situation would be highly stressful for any dog owner This Woman's attitude was unfortunately proving that she may not be a suitable dog owner the woman continued getting worked up and then threatened to call an attorney on the police my dog is my problem are you talk to anybody else about my dog that's harass are you going to get the stuff I'm going to have to pile a big complaint again there you go this fine the dog is inside the house right he's in thear can you show us where your kennel is you have to have a ground in kennel in your backyard said done this I at everything yeah I have to see it I have additional paperwork that I I don't have additional paperwork this is all I have I'm not saying you have additional paperwork I don't this is all I have but what I needed to do so far the woman seemed unable to show full compliance with the dangerous animal regulations she did not present the required muzzle or the short control leash you don't have everything that you need to have this was supposed to be that it's not in to me I canot read it right so we need you to go get the dog load him onto the vehicle can't my dog I did everything I could you're telling me I cannot look at that it doesn't even say Kel I went all over this why the officer explained that they tried to come to the house the previous Wednesday in order to explain all this to her and make sure she was doing everything correctly but apparently the woman blew them off this is horrible I understand and I'm sorry for that but unfortunately this is what we have to do my dog that he's a freaking vicious animal it's not vicious it's dangerous he has never B anybody right here okay I can pull it up for you perfect what was that I'm sorry oh I thought you were talking who you okay just after saying her dog had never bit anyone the dog bit the maale officer in the leg tearing a hole in his uniform and drawing blood after this incident the California courts authorized the Humane euthanasia of the dog the owner f a lawsuit against the city to stay the administrative order close the kennel ma'am no no no the clear one ma'am lift up on the metal part on the metal part the owner doesn't seem to care that her dog just injured a law enforcement officer the court denied the owner's request for a stay through her attorney the dog owner filed a separate court action that further delayed the intended Humane euthanasia decision you have broken skin yeah all right well ma'am he bit this officer now right here ma'am because I told you guys let me take him you did not have control of the dog let me take up okay if the woman can afford to drive a new Mercedes then she should have put some money towards obedience training for her dog to avoid this entire situation the courts denied the owner's appeal but it didn't stop the woman from filing an additional Federal lawsuit which is currently pending encounters with animals can be deadly and while it's not the animal's fault it unfortunately becomes the burden of police to ensure the safety of the people they're called to protect even if it means putting down an innocent creature
