godam my sh cops face a ton of dangerous encounters every day in the line of duty whether it's dealing with emotionally charged people chasing down armed suspects or getting attacked by crazy meth heads police officers have a lot to worry about but in today's video we'll examine something that's particularly worrisome when stupid citizens grab a cop's gun just shoot me please going to talk please just shoot me we're going to talk just shoot just before 8:00 in the morning on May 29th 2022 by standers called 911 in Ogden City Utah to report a man punching a pregnant woman in the face after the initial report was made the caller stated that the man took off on foot subsequently a short foot chase [Music] ensued stop police stop police put your hands up stop police put your hands on man with just need to talk stop come me your hands let's just talk okay keep your hands out your pocket please all right you want to talk to me turn on for a second sit down okay sit down the first officer on the scene is pretty Brazen here with no backup or support he manages to track down the fonus suspect single-handedly which is a very dangerous situation for him to be in while the suspect does appear compliant he must still take precautions we stopped we're on the south end of Costco all right just turn around real quick detain you yes you're detained right now shoot me we're going to shoot you shoot me no I'm going to make shoot me no yes why come on let's just talk no shoot me stop dude just shoot me stop please dude let's talk no sit down what happened please what happened just here hands behind your back no hands behind your back please just shoot me hands behind your back please no I'm not going to shoot you yes dude come here let's just talk I want to die I'm suicidal okay I can get you help the hospital like you want to go to the hospital yes hey come here sit down we're going to talk let's just sit right here bro we can talk I think we're okay Stop's R her back on your back no just shoot me please we're going to talk please just shoot me we're going to talk just shoot me who's behind shoot me no when I no kill me wao that went from 0 to 100 real quick situations like this show just how unpredictable any interaction can be it's a good thing that another officer coming around the side of Costco arrived just in time to help subdue the disturb suspect however it's not going to be that easy because the suspect does something they didn't expect i k [ __ ] [Applause] stop hey what' you grab what you grab got my gun what got my let go over his gun no I'm going to kill my stop stop let go of his gun we another un exactly get off shots that's this scene quickly became life-threatening for both the cops and the suspect how exactly the suspect got the other officer's gun is not entirely clear since he didn't pull it out and it's in a retention holster what's also not clear at this point is if that gunshot hit one of them what is clear however is that this guy needs to be disarmed and in custody ASAP stop no I kill myself let's go let go kill me no are you okay yeah I think stop kill me stop let go kill me please Let Go please kill me okay let go let's go I did we're try to help help you kill me put your hands behind your back man please just kill me Jes good thankfully no one was seriously injured during this arrest the suspect was probably able to fire the weapon while still in the holster because the officer did not have his weapon on safe the suspect was charged with six crimes including assault on a police officer and felony discharge of a firearm on January 16th 2024 a middle-aged woman in New York City called 911 to report that her son Melvin Butler had assaulted her with a visible head injury three officers and a patrol Sergeant decide to take Melvin to the local precinct for further questioning Melvin I'm police off I work the 73rd PR I come in and speak with you I'm sorry what I rather not speak to ROR you mind if I come [Music] in Melvin on if we com in what do you want to step out I don't know what can we come in and speak to you or do you want to step out and speak in the hallway it's up to you I don't know why there like so many of Y there's not that many of us how many of you said what how many there a couple of us not that many of [Music] us with his current demeanor the fact that the suspect asked how many officers there are is pretty concerning the only reason why he'd want to know that information is to see if he could overpower one or two officers in a fight surprisingly he does let the officers in officer oovo was the one who entered first followed by Officer Brennan so told us that you guys had a bit of a disagreement today right I guess just keep your hands on your poet for me okay I guess at some point she fell hit her head she got a little bit of pain in her head so for right now what we're going to do is we're going to remove you from the situation we're going to go back to the precinct while she gets checked out make sure she's okay and go from there okay I don't know what you're talking about okay so what I'm going to just say now is I'm going to ask you to turn around and put your hands right on your back okay that's not that's not step out okay but we're not stepping out again all the alarm Bells are going off here putting hands in his pockets not maintaining eye contact and absolutely no emotion and then suggesting that the cops just leave this guy is showing a lot of signs he's going to do something soon the footage from officer oao's body camera gives us a few more clues so us you guys just scre right I guess just keep your hands I I guess at some point she fell hit her head she got a little bit of pain in her head so for right now what we're going to do is we're going to remove you from the situation we're going to go back to the precinct once you get checked out make sure she's okay and go from there [Music] okay okay so what I'm going to just say now is I'm going to ask you to turn around and put your hands on your back okay step out okay but we're not stepping out now yeah all right looking looking at this perspective it's clear how small the space is and it looks like the suspect is looking for a way to escape Sergeant grth is also blocking the doorway so it seems there's no available exit routes for him to escape through it seems like the man doesn't have any other options or does he I guess it's a you f over the so for right now what we're going to do remove you from the situation we're going go back to the she get to checked out make sure she's okay and go from there okay okay so what I'm going to say now is I'm going to ask you to turn around put your hands okay that's okay we're not stepping out all right so can you give me your favor just put your hands on your back and turn around for you listen right now what you have is she said something happen push she has a little bit of headache that's minor it's mror it's nothing you're on camera you're with us if you don't cooperate and resist that becomes a whole another thing that's on camera that's obvious right now you have a he said she said don't make this don't make this we can't step out okay all right all right notice how the officer outside the door officer lefil never enters the apartment before the suspect open the door some nosy neighbors were already outside their units so she and the other officers in the hallway are making sure the people coming up behind them are not some of the suspect's friends trying to save him so can you do me a favor just put your hands behind your back and turn around for me listen right now what you have is she said something happened push she has a little bit of headache that's minor it's a misdemeanor it's nothing you're on camera you're with us if you don't cooperate resist that becomes a whole another thing that's on camera that's obvious right now you have a he said she [Music] said all right you step out for second make this hard don't make this hard step for a second we can't step out now okay mean don't grab look let me let me get my put got I got you I got you I got you officer Brennan does a great job by trying to use his Verbal Judo to call melin down however it's clear now that he just wants to fight but with a combative suspect in this tight of a space these officers need to subdue the man quickly before he can grab anything around him what's going on got my gun shoot [Music] him that was absolute chaos during the scuffle the suspect fired at least two rounds striking both officer Brennan and officer oo the other gunshots you heard are from both officer LEF and Sergeant grth who quickly entered to help their Partners let's see what it looked like from Sergeant groth's body cam before this whole scuffle started on so said you guys had a bit of just screaming today all right I guess just keep your hands out of your pocket for me okay I guess at some point she fell hit her head she a little bit of pain in her head so for right now what we're going to do is we're going to remove you from the situation we're going to go back to the precinct once you get to checked out make sure she's okay and go from there okay I don't know what I'm talking about okay so what I'm going to just say now is I'm going to ask you to turn around and put your hands behind your back okay that's not that's not need to step out okay but we're not stepping out now all right so can you do me a favor just put your hands behind your back and turn around for me listen right now what you have is she said something happen push she has a little bit of headache that's minor it's misor it's nothing you're on camera you're with us if you don't cooperate and resist that becomes a whole another thing that's on camera that's obvious right now you have a he said she said you don't make this hor don't make from Sergeant groth's perspective you can see the suspect keeping his body angled away from off officers Brennan and oo as the suspect is left with no available exit route and he definitely doesn't want to go to jail he then decided to put up a fight that's when events unfolded pretty quickly let's see what officer lefil saw when she entered the room watch out fire go let it go stay in the theat stay in the watch out it's kind of hard to catch it but when officer Brennan yells that the suspect has his gun Officer lefil instinctively backs up to create distance between herself and the shooter with no cover between her and the suspect she also goes to the door jam to take cover oh my fire fire [Music] I got you got it Sergeant groth's gun probably got tangled up in her coat as she tried to pull it out remember it's January in New York city so she has a lot of layers that can foul up a draw once she draws in cover she can effectively return fire shoot him while it looks like the suspect was killed here he actually survived his wounds after being released from the hospital he was booked on numerous charges including first degree attempted murder as for the officers both men who were struggling with the suspect sustained gunshot wounds that were non-life-threatening with one to the hand and the other to the thigh in August 2022 deputies were dispatched to a home in Grady County Oklahoma for a welfare check on a woman acting erratically according to the woman's family she was suffering from sever mental illness and it run out of medication the family called 911 to convince her to get treatment upon arrival the cops placed her in custody in the back of a cop car for her own safety [Music] the suspect later identified as 36-year-old Rachel clay somehow slipped out of her handcuffs some people are incredibly flexible and no matter how tight you make their handcuffs if they can get them from under their legs like she did it can be easy for them to slip out now [Music] [Music] [Music] again flexibility and a little bit of luck played a part here even though the partition between the back seat and the driver's seat is very small she was able to fit her hand through it and grab the officer's rifle an AR-15 although she may not know how to use the rifle she could just get lucky and somebody might get shot [Music] while this was happening the officers were nearby talking to an elderly gentleman who happens to be the suspect's father and they were completely unaware of what the suspect was doing after finally figuring out how the rifle works the suspect fires one round followed by a rapid fire volley of nine more wouldn't take any water from us or [Music] anything what was that oh Danny I'm hit right here I'm hit yeah I'm I'm hit right here too Danny hitting the head 2615 County we got shots fired up here we need back up immediately start a EMS start a EMS we got a civan got a civan here what the heck as a result of the first shot her father and the officer speaking to him are both hit by Bullet fragments at after quickly regaining their composure the officers took cover and called for backup this caught them completely off guard as they clearly didn't expect that the suspect could get a hold of a rifle while cuffed in the backseat of a police car did she get out of her cuffs no to go in stay in you see her Danny you got eyes on huh shots fir get over here get over here your dad's hit [Applause] man for the next 3 and 1/2 hours she engaged police in an armed standoff which included throwing notes out of the police cruiser with messages like I killed one or Ambush Ambush thankfully she eventually surrendered with no more shots fired she was charged with three counts of felony shooting with intent to kill in total one officer and one civilian were slightly wounded on September 7th 2021 deputies from the Mojave County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a gas station in Golden Valley Arizona about reports of an erratic female the caller stated that the woman was not coherent was waving a gun around and scaring both the staff and patrons in the establishment by the over there that way around that corner right there Put the gun down down get out of the way everybody out of the store everybody out of the store put the purse down put the purse down put your hands on your head right now turn around turn around get down on your knee do not reach do not reach get down on your knees get down on your knees get down lay down flat lay down flat oh he on my knees lay down flat Hi how are you guys doing lay down flat put your hands behind your head put your hands both hands do not move do not move what's surprising is how nonchalant everyone is in the store some woman's waving a gun around and all they can think about is whether they want a bag of Doritos or a slim gym for the road thankfully the officer knew what she was doing and took charge of the situation our deranged suspect seems pretty docel too but sometimes first impressions are deceiving we're friends we grew up okay I will put your hands ouch I will I promise okay oh okay I will yes ma'am hey who hurt you who hurt you okay can you please tell me please tell me who hurt you please don't I won don't why do you want to hurt me what I do okay wait oh okay here I got something for you it's it's a address right will you give me a favor and get this little girl out of in safety the only thing that snapped here was This Woman's sense of reality from her erratic statements and combative Behavior she's clearly on some kind of drugs suffering a mental breakdown or both the officer here is still alone and this is a very dangerous situation since the suspect keeps trying to flee okay all right all right all right get on your stomach get on your stomach get on your stomach get on your stomach on your stomach why is everybody get on your stomach okay okay I get your hand behind your back hand behind your back I got to give you something bring it behind your back I won't do this to you guys did I do to you guys Lu is everything okay okay did someone hurt you I told her I would spim up I don't know anything can I go to my son's SI felling be please medical chasia I need help please yeah she's definitely on drugs I counted at least three backup officers plus our feisty female officer from the beginning drugs like meth often give people superhuman strength so our scrawny female suspect here may be small but she's got the strength of a Silverback Gorilla n open your I can't oh I've never been busted for drugs in my life I've never been busted for drug wait wait wait minute I've never been bust drug in my life you guys and you know I don't oh hang on okay what did I do to you we going together what I do going together you guys it clearly doesn't look like like this is her first time using drugs but if it's true that she's never been arrested for drugs before then it's about time she does get arrested if you look closely at how the officer was dragging her behind him you'll notice that his firearm is not in a retention holster and her hands are very close to it you can probably guess already what happens next godam I'm done I'm done I'm he a liar didn't touch him hand 88 get medical here now we got shots fired okay okay I'm done I'll stop look up I'll up I'll no you don't move you understand me yes sir sir I won't hurt nobody I just need up you guys got burned stuff it hurts guys I'll take where's the gun at where's the gun at okay bab is it in my car where's your it's in my door right here right here love them my heart guys please tell my boys love with all my heart it hurts so bad that's all right so I got help me doctor here that his gun yeah that's mine that's where's her gun at it wasn't hers it was Dave's that was absolutely nuts everyone here was caught so off guard they initially thought she'd somehow concealed an another gun however she was able to disarm the arresting officer and fired a shot at him and that's why the officers asked for an emergency medical kit let's roll her flat all right let's Pat her down she's got crubs in her oh hold your legs up good sir I I have neck brace in my neck another little gun right there you guys what did I do to you I promise I'll cooperate with you 100% I promise you guys all what's in your hand yes sir okay I'm sorry I got it from the neighbors can I tell you the neighbors can I tell you the neighbors please sir he beat me and he's got my daughter will you tell you you get my daughter away from please you do you want hobbles please guys her name's Cassie Marie Thomas pretty soon This Woman's going to get a ride to jail but before that the officers have to be 10,000% sure that she doesn't have another weapon hidden somewhere you'd be surprised at how crafty drug addicts are at hiding things tell my boys I love them rightn Bowers I love you get in the car come on feed up get in the car sir in the car much yes sir I can't get up can you help me stand on that and get in yes sir feed in thank you guys you're awesome okay it's okay need something talk about having your ride or die thankfully in this case no one died but this lady's going to be taking a ride downtown before she goes though officers try to investigate what caused all this she tried coming back here yeah and that's when the cashier told her no okay and then so she was over here and she was like waving the gun around so I went over here here to talk to her okay and and it was that same gun over there that you see cuz she had another one in her back pocket that we found we just want to make sure that was the that was the one that you saw okay she said who's hurting you I and where was she at she was standing right she was right here and then she kept trying to get me to go into the bathroom with her and I was like ma'am I can't go into the bathroom but I can talk to you right here and I tried to tell her like do you want to go outside and talk and she was like No And then she kept saying that all these names and then I got her calmed down and and it started all over again with I was the one that hurt her I was the one that raped her and it was just a cycle she kept saying the same things over and over again no matter what I said okay she wasn't trying to leave or she was just talking to me so I figured I would just talk to her until you guys got here to try to make her less angry the manager here was so smart instead of trying to escalate the situation with someone who was clearly in the upper atmosphere of Cloud9 she calmly engaged her while calling the police unfortunately the drug effects can sometimes last for days so our suspect here is still in her zombie-like State As She Goes to Jail you guys have known me all your life come on step out please don't me cuz I got children I didn't do anything and you know it guys I protected you all your and going I defended you know I did which side I didn't do anything no I didn't okay hop in I am put your right foot all the way in all the way in all the way in all the way in sit down on your butt and then slide in you got it you guys [ __ ] I beat up anybody that touch you guys when we were kids can I do put your feet in watch your feet watch your feet there you go the reason why she's being transferred to another patrol car is because the shooting occurred at the deputy's car therefore it's part of a crime scene and cannot leave I'm sure this deputy can't wait to get an earful on the way to jail you're not going to shoot me are you no we grew up together you guys I didn't do nothing these are my kids come on step didn't do nothing to you are you sit down yes sir I can already tell she's going to be a ton of paperwork and these cops are not happy about it whatever she took is clearly messing with her brain she just fired a cop's gun a few minutes ago yet she still doesn't know why the cops are arresting her Brenda Will you stand up and face the back wall for me oh we don't have any guns can you stand up and face the back wall please please at allun off me stand stand up stand up Bren no stand up I don't stand up stand up turn around turn around you can't sorry so who's laughing at me no nobody towards guys I hate you go that way go that way wait a minute walk that way she's so out of it that she mistook the Handcuff key for an injection meant to give her Co and while she's not being quarantined for Co she'll definitely be getting some alone time since she was later charged with second degree attempted murder among others the wounded officer suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the hand and thankfully no one else was hurt thankfully for all these stupid citizens who tried to grab a cop's gun they all survive to warn their Idiot Friends what happens when you mess with a law
