Three people. Four people. I'm on you. I'm on you. Yep. I'm on. Need one more. I need one more. I'm four. I got four people. You should consider yourself lucky if you've gone through life without seeing a deceased person. Mom's not coming back in. Come. Uh-uh. Come. Come. Come. Come. No. No. No. Come here. Come. Over here. Listen to me. However, for police officers, dealing with morbid scenes is part of the job. Come out. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out now. Come out now. And some crime scenes are so disturbing that police turn pale when they search the killer's home. Knife here. Hop. So there's another knife over there. Another knife under here. Right here. I don't from what I can see, I don't see any on her. On May 15th, 2023, police officers were dispatched to a Walgreens after 46-year-old Andre Isabel calmly walked in and told staff that he had his wife. Hey, you guys. What's going on? Huh? Who's at home? Where's home? 411 Crystal. 411 Crystal. How do you know? Do what? With an address to work with, the officers loaded him into a cruiser and made their way to his residence. Thank you. Okay. Is everybody inside? Okay. Supposed to be all of a sudden. Who else? Who else is supposed to be in here? Supposed to be my son. Who's he? Uh Andre Bale. His wife. His wife? Yeah. Is she here? Supposed to be in his door and his other daughter. Do you care if we go inside and make sure nobody else is inside? Make sure she's okay. Yeah. After clearing the rooms one by one, they eventually came to the locked door of the bedroom that Andre shared with his wife, Isabelle. We got a lot of turn outside. We need to start setting up crime scene tape. there. Yeah. Check. I got she's constant 39. Sorry. After confirming that Isabelle was already deceased, the officers had to step up. Notify the victim's children. Hey, we got we got a group. Hey, my mom. Look, don't touch me. Hey, look. I back up outside. That's my mama. Hey, no. Come on now. Hey, calm down. Calm down. Calm down. Where's he at? Sam, where's he at? The immediate family members were taken to the station to speak to detectives. While they spoke to detectives on one side of the station, the suspect, Andre, was processed and evaluated by medical staff on the other side. 176. They can run this walk down. I can have lever. Yeah. No one needs to get back. No one needs to come back because we have fights going on over at the house and people have come out. They just told us he's gone. Well, if they find out he's here back. Yeah. What's up here? All right. I see. In 2024, he pleaded guilty to first degree and was sentenced to 45 years in prison. On December 14th, 2024, police officers responded to a residence after a 16-year-old boy called 911 and made a shocking confession. Valencia County 911, where's your emergency? Valencia 911, caller, can you hear me? Hi, miss. I just wanted to call you tell you that I'm sorry. I wanted to call you and tell you tell you that parents you called 911 and said you your family. Is that true? Yes. Mhm. Who did you call my whole parent? Your parent and who else? I'm here with you. Just talk to me. Okay. My whole family. Your mom and dad. Yeah. Who? Well, my brothers. How many brothers do you have? Two. Okay. What made you do this? I don't know. Something bad spirit possesses me. You said something what? Something bad possessed me. Start converging on them. We're to your right. Burbank. Have them jump the fence. Let's go. Let's go. Let's move over here. No weapons on you. Come over here. Come over here. Step over here, boss. Step up. Step over here. Oh, put your neck behind your back. Take your bird. I'll take your bird. Let me see. I got your bird. I got him. I got him. I got it. I got his bird hand. The police noticed that Diego was covered in and had serious cuts and bruises. Go ahead and look at me, Diego. Here. I got this. Thank you. Go ahead and look straight. Look at the that unit. Thank you. I'm going to ring you the top of Yeah, he got hold. [Music] Do not let Gabriel C. He has pretty large lacerations to his head to his temple and then to the back of his neck that he's still breathing from and a cut that he's still breathing from. Bleeding. Oh, and then a cut to his foot. Other than that, it's just dried everywhere. But the one So, we we need to get a medical. Yeah. Okay. The one on his head is pretty significant. Shortly thereafter, EMS arrived on the scene to treat Diego's injuries. Although they tried to communicate with him, they quickly realized that he was extremely intoxicated. All right, you still okay? Even around they steal everything. I give you a watch. I broke them handcuffs. Take the act. No, you know, right you right there. That's right. I broke it. As EMS continued to treat Diego, police officers entered the home. There's a 1080 on the I'm going to have to real quick. Okay. All right. Slow down. This uh it's approached uh this hallway right here. Yeah. Through the throat. That's going to be yours. You got it. It's be you and me. Yeah. I'mma cut [Music] right on your hallway to your left with uh three four doors. Whatever. Three are open. Yeah. You scared, right? 1080 on the Oh. Oh. Three people. Four people. I'm out. I'm on you. I'm on you. Yep. I'm on it. Oh, you need one more. I need one more. I'm on you. Four. I got four people. One, two, three. One in the bathroom, two, three in the hallway. All right, hold hold what you got right here. Let us talk to this side real quick. Let me hold over here. Let me hold this off. So, we're going to go back to back. Okay, this this is actually clear. We're good. Inside the home, officers discovered the bodies of Diego's 42-year-old father, Leonardo, his 35-year-old mother, Audriana, his 16-year-old sister, Audrian, and his 14-year-old brother, Alexander. Diego was taken into custody, but he's now facing four counts of firstdegree. On September 17th, 2023, police officers in Romeo, Illinois, conducted a wellness check at a residence after a woman phoned police and reported that her daughter and her family were missing. See if you can just peek in the back. There's a window, right? See one of those? Yeah. Here, look over this window. This window's open. No, it's not. Uh oh. Oh god, dogs are too big dogs. I need more units here. You with me? You guys hold the front. Okay. From a position of cover, please. I don't know if anybody's in there or not. How many? How many dogs you got? We got one dog right here. We got a second dog to the left. All right. Watch out. Watch out. Hey, why don't you check the door handle first? Okay. All right, hold on. Hold on. 3 2 3 traffic 1033 traffic. Make an entry. 33 traffic only. Romeo, please. Anybody here? Romeo, please. Anybody here? Wait, got one. No, no, no. Hey, hold it, Cory. Hold it. I got you. 43. You got one 42 body. Upon entry, the police discovered the dead bodies of Alberto Roland, Zorida Barole, and their sons, 9-year-old Adriel and 7-year-old Diego, including the family dogs. They were all shot. After the officers reviewed the doorbell camera footage, they identified 32-year-old Nathaniel Huey Jr. as a person of interest. He was tracked down the next day. So, what can you tell us? I don't even know a lot. We have a relationship stem from here. Mhm. When's the last time you talked to her? Thursday here. We kind of like had like a relationship for like a May. Okay. It's like four months, five months. No, like three. It's like three. She's there. All right. So, so um were you guys still like talking about, you know, possibly moving forward or did you guys call it off or what happened? Like we we were still supposed to be like moving forward or something. Did she say she's going to leave her husband or anything? Yeah. Okay. Nathaniel, also in a relationship, said that he was having an affair with Zarida. But while Nathaniel said that Alberto had no idea about their secret relationship, officers learned that he found out about the affair, confronted Nathaniel, and even slashed his tires. And while he was cooperative at first, he changed his tune when officers asked to see his phones. It would take us, you know, a couple hours to pull information off the phone that could eliminate you as a suspect, like right from the start. It's up to you. It feels like everybody's suspect enough of me. Well, I mean, I'm not joking with you. We We Anytime somebody, you look at the husband, the boyfriend, if it's a girl, if it's a guy, you look at his wife and any kind of lovers he had. This is all I had right there from everything back. Oh, that's from this morning. Yeah. everything else. So, you'd have to grab it from the from the computer. Well, I mean, it'll be on there. It'll be on your phone. You can't delete it. Still in the in the in the thing in the in the catch. When you delete stuff, it's never actually. So, let's just say you have like a 64 gig phone. You use about 58 of it. The rest is a catch. It stays in the catch. One last thing. Um before we drive out of the parking lot, do you will you give us consent to look in your Denali just for like or something? There's there's no in my car. I haven't done anything. I believe you. But it's so now we're at the point where we just got to check off everything off our list so that there's you know, like I said, you you're in a relationship with her and that's what we're going off of. Okay. Yeah. and we want to be as thorough as possible. And part of being thorough is that we just want to take a look inside cuz if we didn't do that, we wouldn't be doing our job. Although Nathaniel gave officers permission to take a DNA sample, he refused to grant them permission to analyze his phone or search his car. And although he claimed he didn't own a gun, the police found photos of him on Facebook posing with guns, ammunition magazines, and body armor. The officers then interviewed Nathaniel's girlfriend, Herminda Palomo. Hello. Hello. Hi, Melinda. My name is Detective Garcia. We're investigating. Okay. So, we have in our possession some phones, okay? And in those phones, we're doing what it's called the phone dump. So what happens is if anybody's talking on a text app that you can download for example text now we can retrieve those messages. Okay we have retrieved those messages. All right we've read them. We're pretty clear that somebody's pretty upset at at u at the victim. Okay. Is there any way that these text messages are going to come back to you or your name or your phone or anything associated with that? Okay. The detective drove her Melinda around the corner so they could speak to her privately. And even though she claimed she just found out about the affair, it became pretty obvious that she knew more than she was letting on. Does he own guns? No. No. Has he ever been known to have guns? Mm-m. How sure are you that he definitely have a gun? I'm actually very positive. Okay. You've have you've never ever seen him with a gun? Um, well, we go to the range and we'll shoot. So, he has a FOD card? No, he does not. So, how do you shoot? I have a FOD card. Okay. Do you own any guns? Yes, I do. What do you own? What kind of gun? Um, I have I have a Glock. Mhm. What kind of Glock are caliber? Um, it's it's a small one. Okay. Um, I have a I'm sorry. It's okay. Um, I don't keep them here because the grandkids are here. Where do you keep them at? I keep them right now. They're in the trunk of my son's car. When asked, Hermolinda agreed to let the officer search her car. However, given that she claimed that she just found out about Nathaniel's affair, the officer steered the conversation in another direction. So, are you guys saying that you're trying to find out if he the husband? We're trying to find out who was involved. So, we're talking to everyone. We're talking to you, we're talking to him, we're talking to other people because as you may be aware, people lie to the police, right? So, we don't know who's lying. Gotcha. Um, what I would like to ask you is on either Friday or Saturday night, did he go out with his friends? No. Did he work? Friday night? No, he was with me Saturday night. No. No. No. We established he was home Thursday night. He was home. Friday night. What about Saturday? Saturday he was home. He was home. And I know he was home because my children told me he was home. He was home into Sunday. Okay. He was there. I woke up and he was there. Herm Linda claimed that she knew nothing about, but the police later discovered that a license plate reader had captured Irmal Linda's car in Romeoville on the night of the murders. The couple fled town and were later spotted more than 600 m from home. And when officers attempted to pull them over, Nathaniel sped away, crashing into another vehicle before slamming into a barrier. As the car burst into flames, two gunshots rang out. Where's on fire? Get out of the car. Watch the Watch the background. Get out of the vehicle. Get out. There you go. Yep. Go in. Oh, you want to go in? Go in. Let's go. Yes. On your right. Move it up to your right behind you. I got door. Do not see movement. No movement. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out now. Come out now. There may be a point. I don't see anything. Got your cover. Cover. Got it. Got it. Nothing. Floorboard. Floorboard. Get her. Got cover. Got cover. Grab her belt. Grab her belt. Grab her belt. You got that door. Can't see. Can't see. Where's fire? Fire extinguisher at least. What? Fire going to come up here. We need to extinguish your behind you. I got driver door. Nathaniel died on the scene. Herminda suffered a gunshot wound to the head which led to her death after investigators performed a forensic search of Linda's phone. Police discovered Herminda created fake phone numbers and online personas to convince Nathaniel that he was being targeted by a Bulgarian crime network. This was consistent with Nathaniel's earlier claim that he was receiving threats from Bulgarians via text three days before the murders. Hermolinda's online persona told Nathaniel that Zarida was a mole who had been targeting him. She instructed Nathaniel to make the scene look like a burglary gone wrong. Later, Nathaniel's mother revealed to police that he had confessed to murdering Zorida and her family. On June 2nd, 2023, in the weeks leading up to the incident, the suspect had made multiple complaints to law enforcement regarding the victim's children. When they're all here in the front, it's really we can hear it's loud. It's noisy. Kids around the kids. Yeah. But when they come on the side here, it I just can't hear my clowns. That's not fair to me. Yeah, I understand that. You know, uh, right to have peaceful enjoy. I understand. I'm just I'm sorry. My heart's thumping. I just didn't know she was going to actually get physical with me or throw the sign. Yeah. Okay. You know, and that's not cool. You don't get physical. I mean, but she did. She just threw it. Well, she she whipped it at me. I mean, she she hit me. She went and bought a little private property sign and she stuck it in death. So, she had sign. She's basically like slamming the side in my face and then she went to kick it back up. I picked the sign up and I threw the sign. And I literally picked the sign up and as I walked off I threw the sign. I said and I can go and buy a sign too instead of demeaning them. At that point, I guess she's already on the phone and she I'm being attacked. So attacking me. I'm literally in the street now proceeding to over here. Everybody's coming. Where? Where? Where did this happen at? Right over here behind the mailbox. Okay. Yeah. She didn't touch that lady. She just took the thing out the ground and that was it. What thing? The thing the no trespassing thing. No, she didn't throw it at her leg. She did not throw the damn thing cuz London was No, she didn't throw it. She tossed it. Shut up. He's not over here to talk to you. She just set it down and and the lady just happened to be there. She didn't throw it at the lady. She didn't touch the lady or nothing. But either and all she did was tell the lady to stop yelling at her kids. That lady yells at everybody's kids out. This was the first time the suspect, Susan Lawrence, called the police regarding her neighbor, Aake Owens, and her children. Throughout the year, she made nearly a dozen calls to law enforcement, claiming that the neighborhood kids were trespassing and causing a disturbance. Kids keep running back and forth over here. When the kids are out front, I don't, you know, it's really noisy. They stole the do not uh trespass sign. They've been coming, throwing bottles of water against my sliding glass door. They've actually banged on the door so hard they broke the um I don't know what the casing around the door and they're I look out of my truck, they're screaming at me. They as soon as I walk up to the truck, they they come up to me and just scream like idiots. And I finally I I lost my nerve today. I just couldn't take it anywhere. I called the kids retards. Then the mother comes screaming at me, "Don't call my children retards. I'm going to put you in a nursing home." Right. What's going on this evening? Lots of children screaming their full heads off, running around. So, we're clear. Were you the guys that that this lady was mad about? Yes. And I just want to say that every time like even if we're not Hold on. Hold on. Let's bring it down. Okay. I'm sorry. You're okay. Every time even if we're not on our property and we're just like like being loud and playing basketball over there. I got you. Like she she just calls us names. Okay. Yeah. Like literally um like literally all the kids because that's an open spot right there. All that is not her property. The guy that I was telling this officer right here. This guy has said numerous times. Y'all come over here and play because they all like to play football. But if you guys have permission to be over there, then you know I can't really get on you guys too much. But if someone's going on her property, which is just her porch, it's not okay. I'm not saying you did. She's claiming you did. I wasn't here to see it, so I can't I can't go one way or the other. All right. However, as deputies explained to her, she doesn't control the neighborhood and nobody was trespassing on her property. Every time the kids are playing here, we're doing jump roses, but our she gets her vehicle, she goes. I'm like, lady, you got to be careful. You know what I mean? Um, that's that's when I say like, was it your kids that it's it's the whole neighbor, man. We We always play here. Yeah. So we do jump ro, we do a little bit of everything. This is just an open field. You know, it belongs to both property. You know what I'm saying? So if the kids want to play there, whatever. And that's that's what I keep telling her. Hey, as long as you don't get in her door, you don't start throwing rocks, don't be cursing at her. It's okay. She can copy cops whenever she wants. But and and I was trying to reason with her one day cuz we were all playing here. You know, the kids, everything jump. All right, let's go. And she's like, you know what? one day you guys are gonna and I'm like and that's when I like whoa hey I'm not I'm getting too much feedback on the phones from the dogs some place where he's not barking please I'm getting too much feedback I can't hear my dog it's a dog we can't stop the dog from barking yeah but it's too much feedback can you please at least go some please I'm not getting so much feedback that's uh honey that's uh all right well you have a good one apparently we can't stand here and have conversation with [ __ ] That's what I'm saying. On June 2nd, 2023, when after another heated altercation with Owens over her children, Lawrence shot her through a door, hitting Owens in the chest. I'm in front. I'm in front. Sheriff's Office, come outside with your hands up. Is the Maring County Sheriff's Office. Come outside with your hands up. Show me your hands. Show me your hands. Turn around. Turn around. Where's your gun at? Yeah. You got hands? You got hands? You're going to be detained. Is there anybody else in the house? There's somebody walking in the house. Um, can I just get my N? No. Not right now. All right. You're not under arrest. You're being detained. Okay. I have Come over here. Wait. Can you lose the door? I have two cats inside. One of the cats. I need medic. I need you all the way inside. I need help though. I have a bad I need you to hurry though. Okay. I understand you need help. Where's she shot at? Right here. Right here in the arm. Right here. Chest. Right. Right side out of chest. Okay. There's no exit. Just keep If she needs CPR, keep doing CPR. I don't see a lot of here. Yeah. I don't see the probably Unfortunately, Owen succumbed to her gunshot wound. The children's father then had to break the terrible news to their children. Today has been a very bad day. There's something bad that's happened. All y'all seen it. Y'all understand it. Y'all experienced it, right? Okay. Y'all love me. Okay. Y'all love mom. All right. Well, I got some bad news to tell you. Mom is not coming back here and come. Uh-uh. Come. Come. Come. No. No. No. Come here. Come over here. Listen to me. No, no, I know. Okay, it's okay. I know. It's okay. I know. I'm sorry. Susan Lawrence was charged with firstdegree felony manslaughter. Although she is pleaded not guilty, if convicted, she could spend up to 30 years in prison. Now, when it comes to coldblooded killers, the crime scenes they leave behind are often grizzly. It's not uncommon for police to turn pale when they search the killer's home.
