I guess. I don't know. We don't go in here. What's up, dude? >> What? >> From what? >> Why is he? >> No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. WHY ARE YOU TOUCHING ME? OH MY GOD. >> I want a tank. >> What did I do? >> Have a seat. Like I said, you're being detained, but now you're under arrest. >> How am I? >> Have a seat. >> How am I right? >> Have a seat. >> What did I do? I didn't I didn't >> have a seat. >> I didn't enforce. >> Some crooks are criminal masterminds. while others seem like they're begging to be caught. From opportunists full of lame excuses to the craziness of the mentally unsound, here's what happens when police catch dumb home burglars in the act. >> All right, >> hold on. He's got the gun. >> You going to hit me in my mouth, huh? Don't move. >> I can't move, mother. He's coming. Don't move. On November 26th, 2024, a woman called the cops after witnessing a hooded man canvasing one of the houses in her neighborhood before he went round the back and drew a gun. Officers arrived to find the suspect still outside the house. >> What's going on, man? >> I don't know. >> You got a gun? >> I'm getting the out of here. >> You got anything on you? >> No. Why? >> Just turn around. >> Why? >> Cuz we got a call that there's somebody out here with a weapon. >> I just came out of the house. >> All right, just turn around. >> No, I'm not. Turn around. >> The suspect's attempt to run did him no good. Officers caught him and tackled him to the ground where they proceeded to place him under arrest and search him. >> All right. >> Hold on. He's got the gun right now. >> You going to hit me in my mouth, huh? [snorts] >> Roll over to your side. Don't move. >> I can't move, mother. Come on. Don't move. Can that >> listen? Don't punch me or none of that. >> I'm not punching you >> cuz you look like you going to punch. >> Okay. >> I just found that. >> All right. You're going to come up to your knee. >> Straight up. Ready? One, two, three. Right there. [clears throat] >> Grab that phone. You walking this way. What's your name? >> What the [ __ ] my name is, dude? >> No, not really. >> Somebody called y'all. >> What's your name? >> What's your name? >> Lieutenant R butt. >> No, it ain't. >> Yeah, it is. >> What's the address right there? What's the address right there? [laughter] >> What's the house you think you're in? >> You said what's the address? >> 214. >> Okay. Yeah, that's that's what I found out by way. That's That's what I'm asking. I just find way. >> With the suspect safely secured in the back of the squad car, the officers were able to go and speak to the woman who called them. Understandably, she was still shaken by what she witnessed, and the other civilian who'd appeared on the scene wasn't helping. Dogs are my dogs. Like, what do you mean? Well, I would growl at him, too. >> He's got a whole pulled out on him. >> So, >> my kid's here. And I'm like, look, like, what what do you what are you missing? I don't know what you're missing. I'm like, I don't know. >> But he was he wasn't really trying to threaten me because he's drunk. You know what I'm saying? >> Quit making up excuses for him because you got to go, too. I don't even I don't even know this guy. >> Like, anybody around him? >> No problems. >> I just started talking to him. I don't even know. The woman asked the cops if they could talk inside, claiming she was cold. But it also gave them a good excuse to get away from the civilian, who seemed set on downplaying the suspect's actions. Meanwhile, the suspect continued to play dumb. >> Were y'all just sitting out here or was y'all like looking for somebody? >> We got called because we were told there was somebody at the door over here with a gun >> trying to break in. caught me coming outside the mother >> and I was in the back. So where come >> sir? All right. >> I'll just get a statement from her and go from there. >> Like was he threatening her or >> Well, she's talking to Ken. So Ken took her in the house because the other guy out there is kind of downplaying everything which you know. Okay. >> Yeah. >> Oh, Kim. Did you [ __ ] >> Any any convictions though? >> No, I ain't [ __ ] I told you I just found it. >> Y'all put I just find a mother right there, man. I did. I just found that right there for the >> I up to uh all the money. Despite the suspect's claims he hadn't done anything, the officers had finally been able to get his details and run them through the system where they found he did have a criminal history. But the convictions on his record took even the arresting officer by surprise. >> What did you say? >> Uh maybe a conviction for attempted and they're going to email the CCH over to you. >> Okay. >> What the is that? >> He has prior weapons charges, too. Sir, what is that? >> You You can tell me where the it is. >> It's your criminal history. >> Okay. What about it? >> Well, you can't have a gun. >> I >> Which you're in possession of a gun. You got assault on a police officer. >> How do you police officer? >> You can't shove a cop and then try to take off running. The suspect continued to play dumb on the drive to the station, so the officer told him again about the reports they received. He eventually seemed to accept the charges he was facing, but he still wasn't ready to cooperate. >> Need any emergency medical attention, sir? >> Don't pull away from me. >> Are you going to go in the chair? Huh? >> You drunk your alcohol tonight? No. Don't pull away from me. Sit back. No, I don't. >> Quit repeating. >> No, I'm not. >> Leave it alone. >> You're fighting a loser. >> I'll do it. >> The suspect continued refusing to sit up and put his feet in the straps despite the threat of being tased. He eventually accepted defeat and was later charged with attempted burglary, aggravated menacing, and resisting arrest. On November 9th, 2024, a woman, later identified as Michelle, was caught attempting to steal various items from a house in West Palm Beach. Officers arrived at the scene to find her walking toward them with a bag in her hand. >> Hi. >> He was coming out of my uncle's backyard. They chase you down. What's going on? They said that I'm robbing your stuff, but I could open. Okay, turn around for me. All right, we'll figure it out when I need to fe Can >> we discuss this with them and next to them so I can explain? >> We're going to talk. Just give us a sec. Come this way. >> Michelle asked the officers to give the homeowner, John, a call so they could straighten things out. But first, she had to be searched for weapons. She was then instructed to sit in the back of the officer's vehicle while they spoke to witnesses and the victims. >> I I live next door. I was aware of the whole situation. She admitted to me. She like I just I confronted her. I said, "You should just give the stuff back." And she said, "I did." >> So, you had you had words with her. Can you just not go anywhere for me, please? I have another right next door. >> Oh, okay. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Cool. Just And if in the meantime, can you just grab an ID for me and all that stuff? >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. >> I just have another officer coming and they'll we'll all make contact with everybody. >> Okay. This is the uh >> Yeah, they're coming now. >> Yeah. Yeah. We We got her down there. So, we just wanted to come back to the house. >> Yeah, I saw him. This girl, I guess, went into the house. They caught her. She >> was inside of the house, too, because I had walked into my bedroom and I smelled my colon used and I haven't been home all day. >> Okay. When you guys saw her, exactly. Who? Where did you >> She walked up to the window and tried to talk to us >> like from the outside? >> Yes, sir. Yeah. Yeah. >> Who was the first one to talk to? You >> me and my dad. We saw her. >> Where were you guys at exactly? So, we saw her and then she >> What did she say? >> I don't remember exactly. >> Yeah. Yeah. She asked for my uncle who owns the house and um >> And you guys don't know her at all. >> We We have never seen that lady in our life. Yes, sir. >> Okay. >> So, this is the we saw this and then I was like, "That's my stuff." And my dad was like, "Maybe she has the same bag." And then we walked out and there's no way she had two of the same bags that I have in my room. >> All right. Just leave that there. program photographed already. >> Just kind of dorm. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. >> The victims then led the lead officer around their uncle's property to show him the room Michelle had been in. They were able to give a clearer picture of what had happened along the way. >> Her bike was propped up right here when I got home and I noticed it, but I didn't I didn't think that somebody was in our house. >> This is where we were right here. But that door was broken, so we didn't like open it to talk. >> You guys have cameras at all? >> Uh, I honestly don't think so. I'll ask um I don't think so, >> but I don't see a Sorry about that. >> No, you're good. Is this your residence or are you guys >> He lost a house in Tampa in a hurricane. >> Oh, he's letting us stay here. >> Okay. Okay, I got you. >> Okay. Yeah. Yeah. [laughter] >> This is the room she >> and you can I mean, you'll be able to smell the column when you walk in. She used a lot of my >> Was this left unlocked? I it was it was okay. >> Meanwhile, the female officer checked on Michelle, who claimed to be really nervous about going to jail. She was finally able to give her side of the story. >> Okay. You want to explain to me what's going on today? >> I'm not sure what's going on. >> Huh? >> I don't know what's going on. What's going on? >> Do you want to explain to me the reason why you were at this house? What's going on? >> Yes. I was looking for my friend. >> Hey, you look at me. I can hear you. >> Looking for my friend named Lenny who lives here. And I went to the place where I last knew where he lived. I lived here with him. >> What was Lenny? >> Lenny is my my ex-boyfriend now, but we were together when we moved. >> You said Lenny. >> Lenny. Last name is Gunning. Gu U N I N G. >> How long were you guys staying over there? >> Maybe 5 weeks. And it was about 3 weeks ago when I last was here. It was that three weeks ago. >> Did you know anybody else over there? >> The owner, John. He lives in the other side of the pool house. >> And the bag or on the front? >> In the back. >> Okay. So, what was going on with you coming out with all the stuff from the house? What was it? >> I thought that was my boyfriend's >> Huh? >> I thought that was my boyfriend's ones. I'm looking for I'm looking for a charger and I was trying to buy one. My phone's dead. The officer informed Michelle that Jon's family had told him they had no idea who she was. So, she claimed she didn't know they would be there. The victims had said she clearly knew the area. And it was interesting she knew John's name, but the officer still had his doubts. >> I didn't even know that they were there. I didn't even know. >> I don't know them. I've never met them before. I know John, though. I was expecting John to be there, so I went to knock on his side of the house, but he didn't answer. So, then I went to the pool house where I won. Well, I thought I did. Okay. >> So, was there any other reason why that uh >> the owner was saying that they didn't allow you to be at the property? >> I have no idea if you can speak to him. I would love to like for him to hear me and like know who I am cuz you know I'm not sure the the woman officer said that she didn't give me any information but I think she was on the phone with him. >> Oh, John. >> The woman officer. Yeah, I believe she said I didn't know. She didn't give me a name but I'm assuming it was John. and I want to know if John said that he knows me. And >> next, Michelle claimed she and her boyfriend Lenny had been doing landscaping work for John while living at the property. The officer then asked her what the arrangement was when they'd finished working for him. >> Didn't conclude my work with him. I had some emergency situation happened where I was taken away without any warning. >> Or you got arrested or something? >> Yes. And I had no warning on it. So, I had to leave and so I came back. >> Where did you get arrested? in Palm Beach County >> where in West Palm or >> And so I just came out and I came here that where I belong where I thought I was supposed to be. >> But you haven't been here for about 3 weeks. >> 27 days. >> You about 27 days. So you haven't been here for about 27 days. So what make you feel like you were still allowed uh to come back here? >> Apparently I was wrong. I was last here with all my stuff here. My things were here. My chargers for my phone's here. Everything was here. So, I came back to go and get it. That's it. And no one I didn't know that John wasn't here. I don't know that looked like all Lenny stuff. Lenny has baseball belongings and he also has Me and Lenny live there in that little room. >> Okay. If you if you and Lenny lived there, so you wouldn't know what belongs to Lenny or what doesn't belong to her. >> I've lived with you for a few months, so I thought I'd know. Since Michelle had already given her side of the story, the time had come for the lead officer to speak to John and see if he could corroborate what she'd said like she believed he would. >> Quick question. Um, we're just talking to the girl. Does the name Lenny Jennings ring a bell? >> Yes. Um, he does yard work and painted my fence. >> Okay. Was he allowed to stay here while he was doing this work for you about three weeks ago? was allowed to stay there um a couple months ago for two nights. >> For two nights, that's it. >> That's it. >> Okay. Do you know if this female was with him during that time or a female? >> I I I'm not certain. I can't tell you with certainty that no one had permission to go into the house tonight. >> Yeah. No, that's fine. >> Permission. >> That's absolutely fine. I'm not negating the fact that that nobody had permission at all. We're just trying to build the timeline as what not. Um, and they were Where were when you allowed him to stay here for the two nights, where were they supposed to be staying? >> They stayed in the pool house. >> Okay. All right. Um, >> they had nothing. But there was But just so notice, I I rent the place out short-term rental. >> Mhm. >> So, they didn't have anything there. There was nothing there. I've cleaned it since they've been there. Um, there is no reason that if if this is Lenny's girlfriend, there's absolutely no reason to be on the property at all. >> Understood. >> Let alone going inside the house or taking anything. >> Understood. Not a problem at all. >> The officer assured John they would go through the things Michelle had tried to steal and call them back once they'd finished their investigation. Then they proceeded to search the bags they'd found Michelle with when she was caught. >> So, let's do this bag first. >> You have signed baseball. >> I have a lot of signed baseball. >> That would be mine. >> Those are my dad's name on it. >> Okay. I mean, it says, >> well, we'll display >> whatever's not. >> Oh, baseball cards. >> The officer also found several rings and lots of coins in the first bag. Then he started inspecting the next one, but the contents of the second bag took John's nephew by surprise. >> All of these are >> his bags are too, right? >> That's how we [snorts] can like that. >> Yes, sir. >> So, this is all your stuff. >> The raw wraps and the blueberry THC is not mine. >> But swear to God. >> What? No, no, no. I'm telling you, it's time. Um, the Valentino cologne is mine. And then the conditioner and stuff is not mine. Or the eye drops or the pencil. Um the conditioner and stuff might be because my uncle normally has this as an Airbnb and that's what stocks like that's in our box. >> The baseball cards baseballs everything of value out. >> No, she left VR headset. >> Yeah, she >> she left very expens. >> It turned out the attempted burglary that day was just one of many. Over the past three years, Michelle had accumulated eight burglary charges, one grand theft charge, and six credit card theft charges. Her latest stunt resulted in the new charge of burglary of an unoccupied building. And she was arrested again just 2 months later for burglary of a structure and again 2 weeks after that for grand theft and burglary of a dwelling. On May 3rd, 2024, a man who later identified himself as Adam was seen trying to break into a house through the side door. The neighbor who' spotted him called 911 and officers were dispatched to investigate. >> What are y'all doing? >> Trying to get open our door. We live here that Aubrey and everybody, their moms, they just left out. Got her on the phone. >> You have ID on you? >> I don't have ID. Everything's the house. >> Okay, hold on. I'm I'm just trying to figure out who you are, man. >> We're getting a call with people trying to break into the house. [laughter] >> What's your first [music] name, man? >> Adam Hersburg. >> Watch yourself. Adam. >> Yes, ma'am. >> Middle name? >> Don't have one. >> Spell your last name. >> Hersburgger. H E R >> S H. >> Sorry. H E R >> S. >> Yeah. Why are you doing that? You're Oh, you confusing me. You I thought you Hersburgger. H E R S B E R G. >> No H. Not a second H. >> H E R S B E R G. >> Yeah. >> Okay. What's your birthday? >> 11 15 95. >> 95. And you live here. >> I'm just saying. 85. >> 85 to catch that one. [laughter] >> I don't know your birthday, dog. >> You messed me up over there. >> That's What did you say? Harshburg. >> Hburger. That's pretty. >> What's happening? >> Are you guys twins? Who? Me and this guy. Oh, >> I mean your your his picture looks like your face. >> I know. >> That's weird. >> Except he's going to be in a lazy. >> Yeah, that's when I >> don't make fun of his lazy man. >> Adam claimed he didn't know why the neighbor called the cops because they knew him. Then theorized it was probably one of the female neighbors who thought he was crazy. The officer asked him to spell his last name for her again. Then Adam's friend called the owner of the house they've been trying to get into. >> Hey babe. Um, so the police are here. >> Do you have a job? >> Do you have a job? >> I have a job [music] >> down here. You don't have any jobs. >> If you don't give me nothing, I can't get nothing. They won't. That's how the problem was. My uncle didn't explain that. >> So, let me talk to her real quick and then we'll continue that. >> Hey, who is this? My name's Aubrey owner. >> Oh, hi Aubrey. Um, so we got a call. I don't know who called, but somebody called and said that somebody was breaking in your house. Um, and I have Adam and Steven here and they're I guess they're locked out of the house. Adam, where are you going? >> Water. >> Okay. >> Um, and that I guess they locked they're locked out of the house and they're trying to bust through the side door to get back in. >> Yeah, they locked the keys in the house. >> Okay. So, they have permission to be here. Thank you. >> Okay. Um, >> thank you. >> Oh god, that felt nice [laughter] again. >> Sorry, you just sprayed me with a hose. Um, >> I don't know why we didn't think of that. >> Sorry. I'm so sorry. >> Now we really sprayed me with a hose. >> You got to catch the batteries. >> All right. I just want to make sure they're allowed to be here cuz we got a call from somebody. So, >> yeah. No, they're definitely allowed to be there. Um, and they're allowed to do whatever they got to do to get out. >> Once the officer had finished on the phone, he handed it back to Adam, who then asked how he could get social or ID in the state of Florida. But the officer was confused as to why he didn't already have one, leaving him to tell an unlikely backstory. >> Okay. So, explain to me what you're what you don't. >> Yeah, you're good. You're good. So, CO So, CO hit. >> Okay. Where were you born? >> In Greensville, >> North Carolina. >> Yes. But I was >> Okay. You know where That's where we start. >> Crazy. >> So, [music] you were born into an Amish community? >> Yes, ma'am. >> Okay. Amish don't believe in social securityities? >> They don't get them. Some If they do, if they go out of town, they do. I don't know anybody that has one. So, when we came down here, we started So, we started migrating down. So, we went down. Boom. We went to Asheville first. My uncle was like, "We got to change." So, he was like, "He's the head of the operation. He's a ding-dong." >> Okay. Anyway, so we >> So you're So you were born into an Amish community with your parents, >> but we [music] do midwives basically what you guys call now. >> Yeah. Okay. So you're born into an Amish community. You left the Amish community and you've never received a social security number ever. >> Adam then claimed he had tried to apply for a social security number, but he didn't have a birth certificate either. The officers joked his birth must have been carved into the side of a tree. Then the female officer went on to explain he'd have to go to the social security office. >> Is that the answer? >> So he's talking to somebody. Um so don't go anywhere. I'm Where you going? >> Okay. >> So I've been trying to get that done. Figured out while we're doing this. Can I get back trying to do this? You're right here anyways. >> Yeah. I'll talk to you while you're doing it. >> Um just don't throw anything at me. >> So what I think you So you don't have a birth certificate? >> No. Well, I I mean I don't I might So my family my family so most of them is like my uncle probably had left my uncle my uncle just had he just passed away. >> Okay. >> You have cancer. >> Sorry. You hear that? >> And um now >> a good idea to face. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. My bad. I'm sorry. You know what? I'm not even going to do that. You say that. I'm sorry. Anyways, >> try a screwdriver. >> That What is that? Oh, no. saying you talking about weapons and [ __ ] I ain't talking about you doing all that. >> Okay. So, >> I get nervous how I sit here on site. >> So, so did what is what is your full name? What was the name you were born with? >> Adam. Adam. >> Huh? >> Adam. >> That's your full name. >> Yes. >> He claimed he couldn't get any kind of help because of not having a social security number, including food stamps. He said he'd been in Florida for a year and a half, but he hadn't worked in that time or been arrested or even been in any accidents. >> I'm just trying to confirm who you are. >> Oh, no. Oh, I'm sorry. Oh, sorry. Um, no. For my uncle when he just died. Wasn't too long ago. >> Do you have any family that lives around here? >> I don't have family down here. I don't have family like that. >> So, >> I I've been down here >> about a year ago. You moved down here from North Carolina. >> Well, we're already in South Carolina. From North Carolina. That's what I was trying to tell you. And then we went down to South Carolina. And then we go down and my uncle he has a guy that he used to work with and come down here to do this >> and where that's what we did. We came down here and we're supposed to work with this guy but he's like I don't know he treated us like the darker skin people. >> Okay. >> So it was kind of sucky but anyways >> my uncle passing after when he died I was like I got that's all we're trying to do is I'm trying to get back up to home now. That's all I'm trying to >> How long ago did you get out >> of there? >> Amish. Yes. >> About you call it Amish. You don't get out of Amish. >> Yeah. You know I know you know what you mean. Anyways, uh >> leaving the Amish. >> Anyways, uh >> TV show. You know, there's a TV show about people leaving the Amish community. >> Uhuh. >> Oh, wait. You don't watch TV, so you wouldn't know. >> Stop it. >> Continue. Continue. >> You say don't stop. >> No, I'm serious. There is a TV show. There's There's people that leave the Amish community and they film them and see how well they do. >> And what are they doing? >> They're going back home because they can't do it. >> Oh, shut up. The officers were still confused as to why his community were against social security numbers. But all he could tell them was that they had a town doctor who would come in whenever a new baby was born. But they never gave them anything. Unfortunately, his story has become too unbelievable. >> You don't get nothing. >> A baby and says here >> I guess I don't know. We don't go in there. What >> for what? Rocket flippers. >> All right. >> Get on your stomach. >> Trying to hit me. Adam, >> what are you doing? >> Your hands right now. For what? >> You got to get again. >> You got TO GET AGAIN. [screaming] >> I CAN'T. I CAN'T. >> LET GO. I CAN'T. PLEASE. STOP. >> ON YOUR stomach now. Stomach right now. I'm going to get again. >> Ridiculous. >> Why are you guys doing this? >> YOU WANT IT AGAIN? >> NO. NO. NO. NO. STOP. >> Why you guys doing this? >> Cuz you ran. >> You scared me. >> Stupid. >> My arm doesn't like that. >> Yes, it does. >> You want it again? >> No. No. No. Please don't. After the officers were finally able to get Adam in handcuffs, they helped him sit up. It looked like he might have finally decided to tell the truth, especially since they've been able to find him on the system, which explains why he tried to run. >> What do you want to be honest about your name? >> You guys already know who it is. >> Adam, go ahead, >> sir. All right. Look, seriously, >> they hit me with So, you guys hit me with a charge. You guys did. >> Uh-huh. Well, technically I guess not you guys. But [laughter] >> yeah, >> Titusville hit me with a charge. I never had a gun, dude. >> I never had a gun and they hit me with a gun charge. >> Okay. >> Well, now you get another charge. >> But now you get two more charges plus all the warrants that you have out for you. >> I know the warrants and that >> when you could have just been honest. >> Listen, honestly, they're get I'm about to get a life sentence, man, for something I didn't even do for a They're trying to habitualize me if I offend her. >> Okay. >> What do you think I'm How do you think I'm supposed to react to y'all? I'm not trying to do nothing. >> They take that into consideration. Not you running across. >> No, they don't. >> Yes, they do. >> Look at my arrest record. Look at it. I have not not one I have not one resisting arrest. >> Unfortunately, Adam was about to get two resisting arrest charges on his record now. He begged the officers not to charge him for resisting and apologized for running, but it was too late. Medics were called to check him after being tased and he was taken into an ambulance. The one number one thing I do not like is when people just >> lie for no reason. >> I'm not lying for no reason. You think I'm over for a reason? You think I did that purposefully just for just for >> You made up a whole Amish story, dog. >> Already made up, bro. Because I got a life sentence for some I didn't do. That's what I'm getting mad at. That's what I'm going to have a problem with. I'm getting a life sentence for something I didn't do. >> Where's the life sentence at? >> Well, see, just pay attention. Watch. There ain't nothing I can do about it cuz the whole county l >> the pieces of Where's Seinal County? Where's the from Semino County? >> Yes. I'm not even nowhere near what the [ __ ] they tried to get me on. >> Real quick, can you tell me your first and last name? >> First name's Adam. >> Adam. Last name's Hersburgger. >> No, it's not. >> Last name's >> What's your real birthday? >> No, it's not. Adam was charged with giving a false name or identification to a law enforcement officer and resisting and obstructing an officer without violence times three. He was found guilty on the ID charge and one of the obstruction charges and sentenced to 15 days in jail along with $743 in court fees. The other two obstruction charges were dropped. On July 3rd, 2024, a squatter broke into a foreclosed mansion and was refusing to leave. Officers arrived at the property to find dogs running around and the suspect, later identified as Mares, inside the mansion. Hey, how are you? >> I'm good. How you >> Good. Homedale police. >> How you doing, sir? >> Good. Did you buy this? We had it as an abandoned property, so I just saw the car. I just wanted to check on everything. >> Yeah, everything is fine. How did you even get in here? >> Huh? >> How did you even get in here? >> Oh, the fence. >> Okay. I'm Chris. >> How you doing? >> Hey, >> Messiah. >> Messiah. Pleasure. >> All right. >> Uh, when did you guys buy the property? >> I have the paperwork and everything, but how did you even get a lock? >> You're trying to figure that out. >> Y'all jump the fence. >> Well, no. We're over there. >> We have We have the combinations all the lock. >> Maris asked the police to get off his yard, but this wasn't the first time they'd been to see him at the property, and he'd yet to prove he owned it. He claimed he did have all his paperwork and went to his car to retrieve it, but then he took the officers by surprise. >> Yo, you guys are really crazy. >> Why? >> Like, what are you doing here? >> Huh? >> What are you doing? >> I just told you. Like I said, >> you even get here. >> We have We have Can you >> turn your body camera on, please? >> No, absolutely not. So, it's going to stay on. >> You said no. >> Yeah. >> All right. Give me a second just to Oh, hold on. Hold on. Hold on. >> Oh, yeah. No, no, it's It is on. I thought you meant turn it off. >> Oh, no. I said turn it on. >> Oh, no. It's definitely on. [clears throat] >> Right there. >> No. No. Hold on. Hold on. No. No. No. Hey. >> Stop. Stop. >> All right. Hold on. Open the door. Maris did crack the door open a moment later and told the police he didn't want them in his house, which he claimed he had the keys to. After arguing with him about the fact that the property wasn't actually his, the officer gave up on reasoning with him and tried to get his identification instead. >> What is your real name? >> You want that? >> No, that's not that. That's a made up name. >> Do you want that? >> I want your ID. How about that? >> Here you go, sir. >> No, I want your driver's license. This is my idea. >> I want your driver's license. >> And if you know anything about trust, I'm fed federalally protected under trust. >> Uhhuh. >> We're going to play these games, but you already know what the end result's going to be. You already got kicked out of here once. You already got arrested once and you keep coming back. >> I got arrested. Yeah. >> Sorry. >> Okay. >> This is my property. >> Yeah. Okay. >> What'd you pay? $3 for it. >> The same thing your parents paid. >> Yeah. Okay. >> You see juice in here. You see a blow. >> But that doesn't mean everything. That means that means that you think you live here. >> I live here. I live here >> cuz you got apple juice on the counter. >> I live here. Okay. >> I live here. >> All right. You're a liar. Cuz I check on this house all the time. >> No, you don't. >> Yeah, I do. >> And I have a YouTube. >> You will be served. >> Listen. >> For playing color of code. >> I don't even know what that means. >> Okay. Just know what that is. Just know what that is. >> That doesn't mean anything. >> Just know what that is. >> It means nothing. >> I'm federally protected. I can trust. Okay. >> Prove to me that you own this house. Prove to me you own this house. >> Take me to court if you got what you're going to do. >> No. No. I'm going to take you to jail. >> There you go, sir. There you go. >> What is this? >> Notice of claims of adverse interest. >> Thank you, sir. >> He claimed the document had been stamped and recorded, though he didn't say by who. It clearly wasn't official, but he continued to act like he owned the house and started threatening to sue the officers if he didn't leave the property. >> If anything, you got to we got to go to court. This is a civil matter. >> It's not. >> It's a civil matter. And I told you what it is. >> This is you trespassing. >> This is a civil matter and I don't trespass, sir. >> I don't trust. I live on the land. I am heir. I am God. I'm I'm a sovereign being. >> I know. I know. That's why I'm sovereign. >> That's why you're going to learn that that's not how the world works. Well, we're going to see. >> Okay. >> The state doesn't own this property. >> No, a bank owns this property. >> No, it doesn't. >> Okay. >> A bank don't own [ __ ] A bank don't even own money. >> That's why >> a bank don't even own money. You fool. >> A bank doesn't even own money. >> All right. So, he can't He can't prove anything. So, >> I did prove it. I did prove it. And I'm not coming out. >> You're under You're under arrest. This is >> You're under arrest. You're under arrest. You got a knife. >> Take the knife. Sir, >> you're playing stupid. >> Please give me your hands up. >> Stop moving. Stop moving around. >> What are you grabbing for? Listen. Stop moving. >> Stop moving. >> For what? Stop moving. >> For what? Stop moving. Can you please just get my stuff, my keys and things, you know, so relax. >> Maris continued making crazy claims as he was led over to the officer's vehicle and acted offended when they called him by his real name. He insisted his name was Messiah, then started talking about owning the house through adverse possession and [music] squatters rights. He looked to be cooperating, but only until it was time to search him. >> You do me a favor. >> Face the car. Spread your legs. >> What are you doing? Hey, >> get your hand out of your hand, bro. Out of >> your pocket. All right, your hand. Unquench. >> I am You unclench me. Let me go. This is my stuff, >> bro. If you don't let me go, bro. You're doing uh >> relax. >> He's got He's got a >> What is that? >> I don't know. I don't know, you weirdo. >> Relax. >> What do you need? >> You just roll over. >> Yep. >> What's in his hand? This hand right here, >> bro. Second assault. Second. Second assault. Sec. >> I got the I got his legs up. Pull us up. >> I got it. >> All right. I need medical treatment. I need medical treatment. >> He claimed he couldn't breathe. So, one of the officers radioed for medical assistance, but warned he was being combative. But Maris seemed to take offense to that, too, and started getting worked up over not being read his Miranda rights. But there was more nonsense to come. >> Raise your camera on. So, show me. >> Show me. >> Show me. >> Tell me. I don't lie. We can't lie about that. >> You are. >> You literally are lying. >> Then you're going to pay big time. >> I promise you that. >> Y devils is going to pay. >> You want to hop in the car now? >> Y'all devil's going to pay. Let's go. All right, let's go. Cuz y'all going to pay. >> I promise you. All that color code, we don't finish. [ __ ] [ __ ] you. Come here. [ __ ] you. >> Thank you. >> Y'all are done, Daryl. I promise you, bro. >> You're trying to charge my sister K trust. >> Say what? >> You're trying to charge my sister K trust. >> Your sister K trust? >> Yes. >> What is that? >> Ses trust. >> Do you know the other side of life? >> I don't know. >> Freedom. Do you know what freedom is? >> Once he was secured in the back of the squad car, the officers then went into the house to search it as part of their investigation. But even knowing it was abandoned and he'd been squatting there, they still weren't prepared for what they found inside. >> There's dog [ __ ] everywhere. I know that cuz I can smell it. >> All right, you guys go up. >> All right, >> we're going to stay here on this first floor. All right. >> Yeah. He's [snorts] got a Oh my god. He's a joke. This guy. He's got a mattress up here. Look, you got dog piss everywhere. Stinks down here. >> The police. >> Dad, I'm going to go over here. >> This guy really thinks he owns this house. How do you open the elevator? >> Come now. >> Hi guys. >> Come by. Come by. >> Hi. There's another one in the basement. >> Hey, stop. Would you leave him alone? Even worse than the dog poop was the toilets which he had been using which didn't flush. Meanwhile, Maris had been taken to the hospital and the lead officer was filling the staff in on the situation. But Maris was within earshot and he yelled more nonsense. >> He's a sovereign citizen. >> No, not a citizen. Don't ever call me no sovereign citizen. I'm a sovereign. A citizen. Don't ever call me Christ. Please don't ever call me a sovereign citizen. >> Sir, have you ever been admitted psychiat? Do are you trying to call me a king slave? That is very racist. Are you calling me a king slave? That is racist. You are racist. >> Can you please give me somebody? He called me a king slave. He called me the king of the slaves. >> After he had been checked by medics, he was then taken to jail. But even though it had been hours since he was first arrested, he still wasn't done with the craziness and had plenty more nonsense to spout on the drive there. >> We let y'all come over here, Europeans, blacks was and whatever you want to call them. >> They were already here on the land. This is our land. Youing crooks. And then you locked me up for a civil matter. Are you stupid or just you people are freaks and you will burn your ancestors will I even like I don't even know y'all are going to be extinct pretty soon. Maris was charged with felony counts of armed burglary, theft, trespassing, criminal mischief, making threats toward law enforcement, and tampering with official records. He was also charged with misdemeanor counts of obstruction and disorderly conduct. On July 4th, 2024, police received reports of a disorderly woman at an apartment complex in Hoboken, New Jersey. [music] The woman, Kristen Pulitzi, had been locked out by her landlord and appeared to be in distress. Officers arrived to find her friend outside the complex. She's locked out of her apartment. >> Who lives here? >> She's locked out. He lives upstairs. This is her landlord. She's paid rent. She's chilling. She's just trying to get back in. He's being an [ __ ] and they've been warning us. We just need to get back into our apartment. It's really not that >> who I'm sorry. >> This man, >> she's having an anxiety attack because she's like he won't let her into the apartment. Let's go fire. >> This is like a very sober situation. It's very ridiculous. I didn't even get to see the fireworks. >> While the lead officer approached [music] Kristen, his partner spoke to the landlord who had a completely different version of events. He claimed Kristen had entered his apartment and committed secondderee burglary, which was why he blocked her out. But in Kristen's mind, she was the victim. WHAT? >> Come over here. I'm over here. I'm over here. >> The thing is that we answered your >> Come over here, man. >> Okay. You do not need to talk to me. >> Are you okay? >> So, what's going on? Just explain what happened to me. >> Okay. >> I got locked out. I wouldn't say that I got locked out and then came around and started filming us. >> Okay. >> Kristen calmed again and willingly gave her name to the officers when asked. But when they ran her details through the system, they found she had a warrant out for her arrest. They were able to coax her out of the corner, but another meltdown was only moments away. >> No. Why are you telling me? >> No. No. Hurry up. Hurry up. ME. [screaming] [screaming] Oh my god. [screaming] ALL >> [screaming] >> RIGHT. ALL RIGHT. >> I got it. I got it. Just calm down. [laughter] >> Behind your back. That's it. Nice and easy. Just behind your back. Let's cuff this person. >> All right. Just calm down. >> The officers were eventually able to get Kristen's [music] cuffs on, but she screamed they were hurting her. Unsurprisingly, she remained uncooperative when they tried to get her back on her feet and take her into custody. >> Okay. Can you stand up for me so I don't rip your arm? >> I don't care. No, I'm going to do it. I'm just trying to >> I don't know what I'm going to carry. >> I see. Easy. >> You need to move your legs. >> No. >> Okay. So, we're going to end up having to hog tie you. THAT'S WHAT YOU WANT. OH, THIS IS A KICK. GUYS, come on. up, guys. >> All right. Now, you can never >> um car's right there. >> She became surprisingly quiet as the officers carried her over to their vehicle. But when it came [music] to seating her in the back, she became aggressive again. Oh, you have stuff back there. >> Pop the trunk. Uh, Rory, >> what's that? >> What is the man who was filming and recording me? Well, I was hanging out with my friend. SO, THIS MAN WAS RECORDING ME. HOLDING MY BREATH. >> WHY ARE YOU TOUCHING ME LIKE THAT? BECAUSE you won't do it yourself. >> Filming me. My friend. >> It took one officer on each side of the car to get her to sit in the back. Eventually, they had her secured and were able to shut her in, but she was determined not to stay there. on camera. How do you FEEL NOW, YOU IDIOTS? I WAS THE ONE BEING KILLED BY MY creepy head. [screaming] >> I got it. I got it. I got it. [screaming] >> I'm going to bite him. window. >> What are you doing, >> ma'am? Come on. You got Come here. >> Grab my uniform. Are >> you kidding me? I GOT IT. [laughter] I GOT IT. EASY. I GOT IT. I GOT IT. I'M 100% CONTROLLED. I should have cuffed HER THE FIRST TIME. I GOT OUT OF THERE. You suck. >> I didn't cuff. Not this time. >> Not this time. >> The officer secured her again and made sure she wouldn't be slipping her cuffs for a second time. Then she was taken to jail. Unfortunately, her attitude showed no signs of improving, and she continued to taunt the cops while they were processing her. You can put your shoes back. >> I don't trust him. >> You don't trust me. >> You were wearing these. >> I don't trust him. >> Cuz you saw it. You said nothing. It's stupid, right? >> It's a video. That's my landlord. He has it on video. He got all the tape. Wasn't the landlord. >> Kristen was charged with assault on an officer, resisting arrest, [music] and escaping her restraints, and pleaded guilty to all three charges in court. On April 26th, 2025, a man later identified as Matthew Hunter tried to break into a woman's house while completely naked. Officers arrived to find him wandering the streets and approached with caution. >> You're going to be a little scared now. Don't worry about it. Everything's cool. >> What are you doing? >> Coming toward you. >> Everything's here. Come on over here. 225. I'm 1012. Male is completely naked. He's armed at this time. >> All right, keep your hands on top of your head. There you go. What's going on, bro? >> I don't just came over to talk to you on the street. >> I tell you what, why don't you get on your knees? You think you can stop that siren? >> Yeah, that's not my siren, bro. Put your hands on top of your head. Put your hands on top of your head. >> Whatever siren I'm I'm hearing. Okay, >> they're going to stop it. It's my partner. I'll tell him to stop it. Put your hand back. >> Okay, fine. >> When the officer tried to ask again what was going on, Matthew said he was just waiting for the officer and then claimed they were waiting for the same thing. He wasn't making much sense and kept dodging the question of why he was on the street with no clothes on. >> What the hell are you doing? >> I'm I'm trying to show you something. >> Let's go over walk to your car. There's a nice people over there. >> It's okay. Everything's fine. How do you like to name um Matt Hunter? You can send them back right now. You don't need >> for the channel. >> They can go home. Hey, Linda. Everything's all right. It's all right. Go home, guys. Go back to your place. All right. What do you want me to do next? Tell me what you want to do. >> I want you to go in my car. >> Okay. Yeah, I'll be glad to. >> All right, have a seat, buddy. Then we're going to figure out >> Sure. >> Have a seat. >> Thank you. >> All right, I'll be right with you. All right, man. >> I know. I know. >> All right. Goodbye. >> Despite Matthew's insistence that everything was fine, something was clearly very wrong. And the officer was still no closer to figuring out why he'd been trying to break into his neighbor's house in nothing but his birthday suit. So, the officer went to speak to Matthew's wife. >> What is going on? >> Are you Matthew's Hunter's wife? >> Yes, sir. >> Um, your door is wide open. >> Can I get my dog my my doors open again? >> Uh, your husband was trying to break into your neighbor's house naked. >> He [laughter] Excuse me, sir. >> Your husband? >> Yeah. >> He's walking down the street naked >> again. >> Yes. >> Oh my gosh. He's on bed. Your uh neighbors called saying he was trying to break into her house. >> Oh no. Come on. >> Can you grab your Can you grab your driver's license? >> Can you grab your driver? >> I have my door locked because >> Where is he? >> He's in the back of my car. >> Luckily for the officer, the wife was very cooperative. She confirmed Matthew had mixed alcohol with his psych meds, which might explain his strange behavior, but seemed unsure whether it was new medication he was taking. All she knew was that he'd been on psych meds for a long time. >> Have you done this before? >> Um >> besides earlier today. >> Yes, sir. He's Yes. And he was um harassing me tonight. That's why I have my door locked. >> Okay. Did he get physical with you at all? >> He's going through some He's going through something right now. >> Okay. Did he do Did he uh get physical with you at all today? >> No. No, he didn't get physical. He tried to he he he wanted to have sex with me or whatever. >> Okay. You know, he came in my room naked and this and that, acting really weird, and I told him he was freaking me out, and I >> And you locked him out. >> And I locked him out. Thank you. I'm so sorry. >> That's okay. I'm We got >> I Thank you. You know what? He's been going in and out all for the last >> Yeah. We got We got to figure out what's what's going on with everything that >> cuz he needs clothes. A pair of shoes. >> He's naked. If you want to go and grab me shorts, I can >> Did you take them to him? >> Yeah. Yeah. If you have shorts, I'll take them. The wife grabbed a pair of Matthew's shorts and handed them to the officer, who was still trying to build a full picture of what exactly was going on. Meanwhile, Matthew had more crazy ramblings for the officer's partner. >> He can go back where he wants to be. >> Maybe the >> Just kidding. >> 1097. >> Sorry. Please, guys, go home. All of you, it's okay, Sandra. I'll be there soon. Come on over here. Get me off these things. >> Get me out of these things. They're all negative now, >> please. You That's fine. The other side. Other side. >> Please. The other side. Okay. Okay. >> There's no It's okay. You're going to find out in about an instant. >> Thank you. Okay. How about we open the door and take these cuffs off? Man, my mouth is getting dry. >> Yeah, I don't have water. Could you please open the door, sir? >> This isn't my car. >> Okay. >> My car is the one in front of us. >> Oh, really? Why did you turn his lights better? Do something with them. >> H >> Why doesn't he make his lights more, I don't know, beautiful? >> Don't you think that would be nice? >> Both of them. >> What do you want to do to make them more beautiful? >> Uh, give me some water. No matter how many times the lead officer's partner told Matthew he didn't have water and he couldn't open the door for him, Matthew remained fixated on his thirst and his desire to get out of the car. But then he came up with an even crazier way of asking for a drink. >> Okay, why don't we uh both go out there cuz I'm getting more thirsty and more thirsty. >> How about if I sing it, man? >> Okay. What kind of music? All right. How about we do a little blues >> with a little uh slide guitar >> for 24? >> I am. >> I'm not hearing this. >> You don't hear it? How about now? >> No, I must be in your head. >> How about now? >> Matthew quickly switched from his phantom singing to looking for the lead officer, asking when he would be back. It must have come as a relief to the second officer when he saw his partner heading toward them. >> Okay, I'll look straight in. Still waiting. Oh, here he comes. >> There he is. >> Oh, he's probably over by Susie Q, who I think is going to be Sandra Bulock here soon. Good looking rascal, too. No wonder it's so safe around here. How about let me out? >> Whether or not he's going to let you out. >> Okay. You sure? I feel these cuffs coming already. You're not going to be sorry. I promise you. >> Unfortunately, the lead officer didn't have water either, but he had brought Matthew shorts over. Matthew agreed to put them on. So, the officer went ahead and opened the car door for him, but given how mentally unsound he was, it would be far from simple. >> Okay. Ow. Oh, those are mine. You know, I never like those. All right. Okay. Go ahead. Where do you want me? >> Why don't you put your >> You don't need I don't need You know, I want you to have them on. >> It makes me feel better. >> Okay. >> If you insist. I don't need that. And you you certainly don't need that. >> There's nothing in there. I promise you. >> You promise me? >> I absolutely. >> Well, I don't trust you, but your wife did. Just >> Well, no. You should That's kind of like a bullet. >> Who does your wife? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Okay. Put your legs in there. >> Okay. They're in one. >> Put them in the They are >> No. Put them in the pant hold. >> What are you talking about? >> Can you see? Look. Take the cuffs off. >> No. Put your damn pants on. >> Okay. >> Put your feet in. >> I'll put your pants. >> Wasting my time and yours. Go ahead. All right. >> Don't get crazy down there. >> All right. Find the hole. >> There you go. >> [laughter] >> All right. You want to take the cup? >> Hold on. Stop. Stop moving. I got to pull your pants off. >> How you doing, buddy? >> Is he back? >> No. >> All right. >> You get to take a seat right now. >> Once they had got Matthew's shorts on, the officer proceeded to read him his Miranda rights. Then they tried to finally get to the bottom of what he'd been doing that night. But unsurprisingly, he wasn't able to help shed any light on his situation. What were you doing here? >> I was just uh you know it's a nice night is it? Please guys real quick. Okay. Just answer the questions and then we'll go with their hands. We'll talk about your handcuffs. Okay. >> Yes, sir. >> What were you doing at her house? >> Do you know her? >> Yes, I do know her. >> And what were you doing there? >> Saying hi. >> You were just saying hi. >> That's it. Don't ask her. >> What was in your hand when you were at her door? >> Nothing. >> Nothing. >> Nothing. >> So, the damage is on her door frame right now >> from her door being >> I can't explain open. You know what happened? >> I can't explain that. >> Okay. And you didn't say, and I quote, "I'm coming in your house." >> I never said that. >> Okay. You didn't step into the rock to the left. You didn't stand in front of her front door and talk to her. >> No. >> Okay. [clears throat] >> You just said you knew her and you were going over there. >> I do know her. >> Were you going over there? >> No. >> So, you didn't talk to her tonight at all. >> No. >> No, [music] >> I have not. >> Okay. >> What were you doing when I pulled up? You were walking You were walking over from over there. >> I wanted to see one of the shots. I think we're going to see a good one tonight. Look at that. That's a That's a plane. That's >> I know that's a plane, but the rocket's coming up. >> Well, it's going to launch in about two seconds. >> Two seconds. Two seconds is going to launch. >> Since Matthew was clearly incapable of explaining himself, the officers had him sit back inside their car again. Then they searched outside the house he tried to break into, and the woman who lived there came to the door to give her account of the night's events. >> Hello, ma'am. >> Hi. >> Hi, I'm Deputy Barlott. right now. I was just looking to see if uh you had like >> he had a knife or something. >> Yeah, that's what I was looking for. >> But when he stood right here like this and he was tell and was yelling at me at the in the window, I had to open the blinds because >> he was banging so hard that I thought the door was going to come down. >> Did you see a knife in his hand? >> I saw him stand and he put his foot here. Yeah. >> And he was naked. He didn't have any shoes on. >> Okay. >> So, of course, he f almost fell over backwards cuz he's trashed all the time. Yeah, that's what his wife was just telling me. >> Okay. Yeah. Well, >> but uh and he said that he he said, "I'm coming in the house." >> He said, "If o you open this door now because I'm coming in." I said, "You are not coming in." >> Okay. >> And I said, "I'm calling the police." And then I heard ch like somebody had >> on the door here. >> Yeah. There's marks. >> Okay. >> See all this? I don't know what he thought he was going to get into. >> Yeah. >> Because this is a story door. Yeah. Well, he's not in the right mindset, obviously, but >> but he's like this every day. He's in a different He's in a different in a different headsp space. >> Yeah. >> And I'm afraid for the I'm afraid for her. Her and her friends. >> Yeah, absolutely. >> This can't go on anymore. >> The officer couldn't see a knife. So, they went back to talk to Matthew's wife, who told them she only had two little ones in the house as she feared her husband might pull one on her. Matthew was later charged with attempted burglary, exposure of sex organs, and criminal mischief, but was released from custody after posting a $12,000 bond. On August 30th, 2024, officers received reports of a burglary involving two possibly armed young men, later identified as Craig and Nicholas, who'd broken into a property and fled when they realized they'd been spotted. Officers then searched the neighborhood for the suspects, and it didn't take long to find the first one. >> Stop. Stop walking. Put your phone down. Keep your hands out. Turn away from me. >> What are you? >> Oh, you've been identified as somebody in a robbery. So, >> I didn't even go in there. >> Right now, you're being detained for investigative purposes. You understand? >> You understand? Bro, I did not go into anywhere, bro. >> Why are you dragging me like that, dude? What are you doing? >> Stop. >> Keep pushing back on me, dude. We're gonna have problem. >> I robbed somebody, you would have found everything. I would have got money. >> Once Craig's cuffs were secured around his wrists, the officer proceeded to search him, but it seemed he had been telling the truth about only having his phone and money and a vape he'd forgotten to mention. Then he was given the chance to tell his side of the story. >> What happened? >> They seen some I heard yelling. They seen dude hopping over their fence or whatever. They started chasing me down. And I guess she was talking about being her. I said, "Bro, you can't do that. Stop." Because I know her, her daughter, you know, her husband. I don't remember. Um, somebody said they was about to smoke shoot me in the face. I think I was like, "Shoot me in the face. Craig was then seated in the back of the officer's vehicle while they finished their investigation. The victim and his neighbor stood watching nearby and the lead officer proceeded to question the owner of the house the suspects broke into and his female neighbor who confronted the suspects. >> So, walk me through beginning to end what happened. >> I have cameras on my house just for this reason. Cannabis became legal. So, I know it's going to get stolen, >> right? I have 12 11 12 cameras with my partner. >> We literally just got home from the bank, walked in, sat in the living room, I get notification. I think it's [music] my neighbor cuz she calls me so important. >> And I look at my phone and this is what I see. >> And that's the other guy. >> Yes, that's the other guy. So I run outside. He's already in the greenhouse. >> I'm already because I let my dog >> He's chopped two plants down already. And I'm like, "What the are you doing in my yard?" and he looks at me and you can just tell, "Oh my god, it caught." And he just stood there for a minute and then ran and jumped my fits. [music] And then that's when she ran out. >> The victim's neighbor then explained she was already outside and that she'd run and jumped over the fence to help. And that's when she'd seen the suspect holding the victim's cannabis plants. But then the story took a surprising turn. >> I was like, "What the are you doing? Why are you even over here? >> You're a ready. You got two months to go. You are smoking a headache." >> I'm like, "What are you doing?" And he was like, "I'm calling the police." I was like, "My sister is a cop. I'm calling her right now." >> And as I'm doing that, he comes up and tries to punch and punches my tried to punch my phone out of my hand. And I backed up my chin. And I folded out like, "You ain't going to hit me cuz I'm not the one. You don't know who my husband is. I beat that." >> Grabbed the log after that and jumped my fence just to >> And then my daughter and my grandson cuz my daughter I was on my phone. I called my daughter like, "Get my dogs." Because I didn't want them to bite them because I know if I left them out the stand, they was going to fall. >> Yeah. So, I had her pick the dogs up and she came out and she was like, "Craig." >> I was like, "Craig, like you're my family, dude. Like, what the are you even letting your friends come in my yard?" >> According to the neighbor, Nicholas asked Craig to give him the gun that he had. She then asked Craig if he was really going to shoot her and he said that he had nothing to do with any of it and just happened to be in the alley. However, the video evidence suggested otherwise. While the officer was talking to her, other officers located Nicholas. Hey, come here. Turn around. Put your hands on your back. >> Turn around. Put your hands on your back. >> Stop. >> Stop. >> Stop. Give me one over here. >> You're going to go to the ground if you don't stop. You hear me? You hear me? >> You hear me? >> What the? Give me youring hand. >> I'm doneing around with you. >> It's the top. Give me a hand. >> Nicholas continued to resist the officer who struggled to get the second cuff around his other hand. Eventually, he succeeded in locking them in place. >> I get up now. I get up. >> Say the up, dumb ass. >> What do I do? What the did I do? Why you saying I'm being so aggressive with you? >> Got one attained. What can I do? >> Have a seat. Like I said, you're being detained, but now you're under arrest. >> How am I? >> Have a seat. >> How am I unrest? >> Have a seat. >> What did I do? I didn't I didn't >> have a seat. >> I didn't enforce. Can I get an officer here? >> The officer still needed to double lock Nicholas's cuffs, but the ladder remained uncooperative and refused to give his social security number. He continued to act like he was innocent and demanded to see the officer's supervisor. So, the officer shut him in again to let him cool off. But unfortunately, it didn't work. >> Hi, man. >> Where is the chief at? >> Hurry. Talk. Nope. Stay in there. >> Where the chief? >> You're going to get >> I want to talk to the chief. >> All right, man. You need to >> What's your badge number? >> What's your badge number? >> 520. >> 520. What's your talk to you? >> Hold up. >> No, I didn't do all man. Listen, >> we're walking down the street. Oh, brother. Y >> Oh, no. Help cop, bro. I'm not >> Listen, man. Let Let me tell you what we the call we got. >> This is [ __ ] This is who? >> Okay, we got a call of a robbery, my friend. >> That ain't no robbery. >> Well, listen to me. >> What the did we rob? >> They describe >> What did we rob? >> I don't know. I wasn't here. >> I'm in shorts. What the like robbing some? >> Stay in the back. Stay in the car. >> Come on out. >> So, this they describe you to a te gray shorts, no shirt. Okay. That's why we're here, man. >> Yeah. >> Just being detained. You're not under arrest. If you continue to act like this, >> I'm pissed off cuz I'm walking down the street and this [ __ ] right there wants to sit here. Look. Oh. >> Nicholas eventually gave his name and date of birth and was then shut in the car again since he was being so argumentative. They talked to him through the partially open car window, but his attitude showed no signs of improving. >> All right, my man. So, we got enough now to wear. >> It's time for you to tell your side of the story. Okay. So, I'm going to read your rights. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you. Court of law. You have the right to talk to an attorney. It's good on a foreign attorney. Nick, this is for your benefit, man. These are your rights. If you >> Well, if you can't hear your rights, I can't talk to you. All right, man. Just go to jail, I guess. >> Meanwhile, Craig was proving much easier to deal with. Officers explained to him that they had a call about someone matching Nicholas's description, stealing cannabis plants, which had since been found in the alley the two of them had been in. Craig's girlfriend showed up a moment later and the decision was made to let him go. >> Sound like we'll cut you loose, Craig. >> Like I told uh Nick, if he's going around trying to steal plants, pot legal, find somebody new seeds, plant your own. >> We don't need the plants. I don't need a dispensary right. Um, this grocery is kind of expensive, but if you want to plant your own, you can have you're a dog. You have six plants per house. No reason. He can have them, too. There's no reason for him to go steal them. He's an idiot. >> But that wasn't the end of the story. And it seemed Craig was just as idiotic as Nicholas because after being released, he was dumb enough to return to the scene of the crime. What's >> going on, Craig? You go back down there, man. >> Robert, did you go back down there? >> Yeah, I went back down there. covered you. What's the criminal charge? >> They thought I was pulling up on them. I'm like, you are my cousin. Why the would I argue with you? >> He said you went down looking for the money. >> Money was in your pocket. >> Did you find it? >> No, I stopped talking to them. >> Well, they review footage and apparently you were helping him over the fence. Okay. >> Yeah, but you going to bring the baby in the car, bro. >> Or what? Were they just trying to fight me with my son in the car? Right. Were they my door with my son in the car? >> It's got nothing to do with that. They did call again say that Craig came back. However, >> he lost something. I was with him. >> They review footage. That's >> Did they review footage of them banging my car with my son in the car? >> Craig's girlfriend might not have been happy about his arrest, but the video footage proved that Craig was Nicholas's accomplice. Both men were arrested for robbery. Nicholas also faced charges of assaulting a police officer, while Craig was charged with complicity to robbery. Some home burglars are just so dumb that they make it easy for cops to catch them red-handed. Don't forget to like and subscribe and turn on notifications for more videos like this.
