on June 13th 2024 deputies from the Walworth County Sheriff's Office responded to a call that would quickly escalate into a full-blown drug investigation upon arrival they encountered 29-year-old suspect named Samantha Crystal Daro cooperative but clearly rattled as the situation unfolded it became clear she was not just a witness or a bystander methamphetamine drug paraphernalia and a trail of warrants from a previous police chase tied her to a dangerous spiral of addiction and poor decisions this is the full unfiltered body cam footage showing what really happened when officers took Samantha into custody all right Samantha samantha okay so Samantha what's going to happen right now is we've got one on top of you why can you walk with me to the door at least let my uncle know put your bag down so so you want me Is your son we'll talk to someone can you please we'll talk to We'll let you know why do I have warrants out i'll explain to you just talk to me or not so put her in cuffs is your uh No no but you want me live no i need you to just understand i was cleaning out stuff i have 507 Samantha's 95 literally I was just getting rid of it it's in my back pocket [Applause] we appreciate that is there anything more in your bag no no what's in your pocket um like a pipe or Yeah okay it's not mine i'm literally cleaning his stuff out so what do you want yep i guess that I'm going to jail what am I going to jail for though cleaning and eluding possession of methamphetamine resisting obstructing and drugs wa possession of methamphetamine yes ma'am how cuz it was in the car after the pursuit and it was in a bag that contained female belongings and you were the only female in the car you you were in possession of the vehicle that was yours and the methampetamine was in the vehicle whoa so that's what you're being charged for all right do you have anything in your pocket that's going to help hurt me or stick me oh [ __ ] no nothing huh where's this bag i don't have He just took my bag it's in your back it's in your backpack no no it's in my back pocket back pocket right which one left why is he going through my stuff though i don't know where is the pipe it's in my back pocket like I was literally taking it to get rid of it well now we can get rid of it for you thank you i actually do appreciate that i'm sure I'll get charged with that he's all fuzzy and yeah whoever walked out oh my card too um he's in the back slot working he asked me to hold his wallet feel free to ask him oh no that's fine i just want to if he's here I'll give it to him so that we're not taking No I would like you to leave my my bag here at my house that's fine i'm just going to go through it quickly because you're in possession of drug paraphernalia and you were in possession of the bag but I I literally just told you guys that was in my pocket that I was getting rid of it yep i appreciate that but I'm going to go through the bag okay okay and if there's anything else in there we'll handle that but if there shouldn't be if all this stuff is his or Austin's then I'm just gonna give it back to him and then I'll leave your bag do you want it with him okay apparently I'm going to jail fuzz sweet you want the card with you or stay you got to search wow you want these with you um safe so everything should stay safe i'm going to jail for the fleeing and eluding from April and apparently possession of methamphetamine cuz apparently it was in my car in April the chase down the fight we're going to go back well I know that isn't possible actually because to find why i'm just curious i don't mean to have an attitude i do apologize i don't do that intentionally okay i was just curious because I mean I have not been running or hiding ow i just want to clarify keys and card in your bag to stay yeah it was fuzzy all right do me a favor place your head to the left ow these hurt they suck not used to this that's These are stained [Applause] that was really good there's [Music] She's got a handcuff key on her keychain too like a ledger like the last one i didn't is that a D key probably [Applause] so hard [Applause] something that might go in thereong with the torch we have Yeah i can't I would I would card goes in the backpack she wants all that left too vince I saw a earlier today the caption was "This is how petty I am." There was a picture of like a chain link fence with a with a big bushy bush growing up up through the middle of it and one side of the bush perfectly in line with the fence was pure perfectly manicured the other side was all like I thought it made me think of you swat sent me a video today vince this one's in your honor i was like [Applause] That's your dream right there it is you're not allowed to leave for Washington though no I can find shopping carts here they probably charge it here and not in Washington if you do find it we're going to we're going to like increase our odds we'll write it as a ordinance citation i actually that way the DA's office has a harder time no processing it reading it i couldn't tell if it was a misdemeanor it's just a force oh to be honest look it up i couldn't figure it out that day it should be a misdemeanor like cuz the there's other simple like it's a variation on simple theft so it doesn't make much sense to have a separate one that's just a forfeiture right that's why I assume it's a misdemeanor but the statute is not super clear um I'll hang with her you guys want to go see if I don't I don't sell bail what's that set up a bail a bail tomorrow for her i don't feel by the drugs okay but no wants for no one [Applause] she was like right here when we pulled up just the bag on her yeah I took it off her shoulder okay and then you grab the mason jar and the pipe yep we got them i don't know if Skib secured them or not where' that little mason jar in the pipe end up i'll meet you all right we'll see you guys done seeing you for the day hey I'll lock it in the trunk here assuming I'm going to get char i don't know to be honest with you okay i'm just asking yeah we can talk about it when we get to the jail okay uh I just figured I would be on No I mean I appreciate that mhm 516 and my 76 to the It's just not my decision all right so I'll make sure we let you know this is crazy 516 and rod center 516 it's going to be 23 at the general 53 all right Samantha we'll make sure that you're very clear about this you don't have anything on you that you get bring inside the jail here cuz you're going to get more charges if you have something hidden that you're going to bring in jail not that I am aware of okay i just want to make sure that you understood that okay go ahead and place your hand for me oh sorry thank you slide out oh my gosh these are the doors up to the right have a seat on the spot [Music] despite her attempts to downplay the situation Samantha had a history with law enforcement she referenced a prior pursuit in April where drugs were also discovered in her vehicle as deputies began searching her backpack Samantha asked that it be left behind at her home officers agreed on one condition they needed to check it first they found more items consistent with meth use including a small mason jar paraphernalia and disturbingly a handcuff key attached to her keychain in the end Samantha was officially charged with possession of methamphetamine possession of drug paraphernalia to manufacture or store meth and fleeing and eluding an officers let us know your thoughts in the comments below if you found this video insightful be sure to like subscribe to Mikey Pipescuffed and turn on notifications [Music]
