after nearly crashing off the road while being extremely drunk when the officer stopped her this grandmother who was transporting her grandchildren didn't care that she was going to jail whatever do you understand whatever it's a yes or no it's a whatever but that is nothing compared to this other grandmother who along with her husband was arrested after hitting a restaurant employee in the head with a hamburger that little is is pressing charges against me because she is crying cuz she got hit with a hamburger there's also a woman who thinks she has the right to steal cars but first let's look at a grandmother who had to be tased because she refused to sign an $80 ticket the police officer noticed a vehicle with a broken rear end he explained to the lady that she cannot drive with malfunctioning brake lights and she admitted that she has been driving like that for half a [Music] year hello hi so what's going on with your truck it's it's been hit and we're waiting to see if I can't find a bed for it a short bed it's drivable yeah but it's not legal cuz you got to bust a tail light you got your driver license insurance on you how long ago has it been like that um probably about 6 months oh okay well you've had plenty of time getting fix all right Miss Sam since you informed me that you've had that for 6 months oh yeah and we're just looking for a bed because we can't find a short bed I mean my brother's looking for it can you at least get the light I don't know if I can get the light those they've got lights on them don't they they do have lights in them and they do work well you're it's broken yeah I know it's broken so if you hit your brake lights that white bulb's going to Blind somebody at night oh okay well put red tape on it that work yeah but I don't think I don't think red tape's going to help you there you don't have enough plastic to tape over well you know I kind of hate to buy one if I'm going to get the whole B and it's going to have everything on it I got you you know I just don't want to spend the money I understand and you know I don't drive it to Texas I don't drive it in the city I go to G three king fisher I'm going right now to check on cattle okay well I did Issue for a defective equipment it's $80 you have till September 16th to take care of this uh get you to sign there with the x is so you don't even give a warning for this you've been driving around for 6 months like that I'm truthful well I'm not going to give you a warning for something you've been driving for 6 months but you you've seen me in here you've seen me in I Haven you had to I've been up here no either way I missing you a citation sign there please well I don't want to sign it cuz I don't want to do $80 you don't want to sign it no because I don't think that I deserve to pay $80 for something that is fixable and I can fix it that's all you want to do step out of the car why cuz you're under arrest step out I'm not step out of the vehicle no I'm not step out no step out I'm giving you a lawful order step out you be fair with me and I'll be fair with you step out no you're under arrest no I'm not I'm placing you under arrest step out you are fullish cuz you're not placing me under no damn arrest step out no I'm not 305 303 do not do not take off shut up and give me that and I'll sign it step out no we're beyond that step out fleeing from a traffic stop can be charged as eluding an officer if the act of fleeing creates a dangerous situation it could even be considered a felony signing a traffic citation is not an admission of guilt it is merely an acknowledgement of receipt of the citation and a promise to either pay the fine or appear in court to contest the charge in Oklahoma if a a person refuses to sign a traffic ticket the officer May arrest the individual and take them into custody so far the lady's got the original charge of defective equipment failure to comply with a police officer's order resisting a police officer and eluding a police officer she is in big trouble is going to be we're going to be pulling into the D Oil [Music] [Applause] facility ass get out of the car get out of the car get out of the car not going do that to me get out of the car not going do to me get out of the car get out of the car get out of the car I not you better leave [Music] me put your hands behind your back leave me alone no put your hands behind your back [Music] now put your hands behind your [Music] back put your hands behind your back lay down and put your heads behind your back I will stand down now I will stand down no you will not you're going to get it [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] again three offi dispatch go ahead and start EMS uh taser deployed one female custody clear why didn't you just sign a damn ticket because I felt like you was there with me because I have been in town forever with this TI and I'll go and get damn quar do you realize you just got yourself in a whole lot more trouble for what for running oh I didn't run I told you you weren't going to arrest me I pulled in here thinking that you would here go ahead and go ahead and roll to your roll to your back all right trying are you hurt yeah I'm hurt what hurts everything all right I got EMS on the way just hang tight you got a what on the way I got an ambulance on the way check you out ambulance I don't need an ambulance well you got taste so they got to check you out the use of force such as forcibly removing someone from a vehicle and using a taser must be reasonable and proportionate to the circumstances in this case the officer will need to articulate that the level of force used was necessary due to the resistance of the individual given the age of the woman there could be additional scrutiny on the officer's use of force as age and physical condition are factors in determining what constitutes reasonable force in any use of force case especially involving a vulnerable population such as the elderly law enforcement agencies typically conduct an internal review to ensure that the use of force was in line with department policies and training yeah if you don't mind help me get her up there we go come on over here yeah temp she's in C way long just around here like that sure you guys go stand over there come on hey as you have seen nearby workers came to console the grandmother situations are always sensitive when elderly individuals are involved in police actions all right walk to my car ma'am can I shut my pickup off I'll turn it off for you come on that's that's the taser core they're going to get that out of you all right get it out of me yeah there's two prongs in you two prongs in me oh cute go ahead and have a seat I'll turn the air on let you cool down can you pull your seat up or something or that's that's as much as we got so why didn't you take off because I knew that you would arrest me and I wasn't going to all you had to do was sign a ticket but can you well just listen to me a minute do you know that nobody nobody wants to come to cash in for any reason whatsoever CU they know it's going to be an $80 fine for some dumb something all the time well when you driving around like that where do you think you can go driving around and get away with like that got three king fisher cuz I'm going through king fisher right now to go to Loyal me listen and I've bought groceries you may not like the laws but we're here to enforce them whether that being in cash in Oklahoma County or wherever okay you guys are going to learn the hard way that we're not putting up with it who's you guys just the saying the ham the citizens the citizens a cash all right ciens cash you break the law in cash and we're going to enforce it yeah rather you're a haml or not mhm okay no you did this you did not have to taser me you wouldn't complain you wouldn't get out and then you tried to kick me so yes I did yeah I tried to kick you cuz I'm a country girl because no I didn't you got T because of it yes and I didn't like being thrown on the damn ground well next time listen to what I'm telling you to do you're the one that escalated this all you had to do was sign you would have been on your way sign an $80 ticket that I had no business of even getting you told me you've been driving that for 6 months that's half a year after everything you must admit that the lady handled it all very well and remained surprisingly composed in the end what you got so far D it's curing yeah it's cing okay she's a you said roll your window up stop this is mine stop you good I'm want to see what happened with him real quick so what what all started uh she was walking around the building like knocking on the Windows which our Lobby's closed okay and so when we didn't go and open the doors for her because the Lobby is closed she walked around into the drive-thru and she was leaning over some other person's car and so I was opening the window to tell her like hey you can't walking through the drivethru it's a safety hazard and then she started talking about how her order was on I was like okay I apologize you know um if you go through the drivethru we can fix it for you but you can't be standing in the drivethru and that's when she threw her sandwich out my face okay it hit you in the face Square in the face okay and there was customers behind her who saw it I don't know if they're still here because there I was right behind Okay you saw you saw her Chuck I saw her that it's totally disrespectful not everybody's perfect I got and after she did that she started the stuff off the windows and stuff okay what all did she tear off the windows it's laying right there little advertisements they're still laying on the sidewalk are you want to proceed with any charges as possible or what do you guys want to see that's that's a you question cuz yeah because you that's freaking ridiculous like I understand you're mad that your order is wrong but everyone has to wait in the line like you I can't just prioritize people if they're walking through the drive-thru and screaming okay no I got you yeah so I was W to see if she damaged I know she she ripped this stuff off she hit that girl squaring the nose with a sandwich so yeah so I he was right behind and saw it happen and then we'll talk to him about trespassing well perfect that's why I was going to do criminal damage as well but I didn't know if it was adver so she said she came around was mad about her sandwich but the inside was closed let's clarify what's going on on here the grandmother you're watching hit an employee in the head with a hamburger after she was dissatisfied with the service provided in most jurisdictions intentionally striking someone regardless of whether it's with a hand or an object or in this case a hamburger can be considered assault tearing down advertisements and potentially causing damage to the restaurant's property could result in a charge of vandalism or criminal damage to property that was just the beginning now we will see how she behaved during the intervention I'm going to stand here you have your ID you have your ID right now you're detained you're not going anywhere let me see your ID please I'm not talking to you guys all right okay you're under arrest hand back fine you you come out that know better than to throw sandwiches in people fa okay hop in the car I'm not telling you my name I'm not tell okay that's just that's just another charge if you don't want to identify yourself you can sit in jail until we identify you last chance how am I supposed to get in here last chance what's your social Last Chance what's your social maam are you getting an additional charge go ahead charge me all you want okay 1214 signal 7 get out of that car get out of car going come me in so don't put your arm back behind your arm behind your back you get a hold of my daughter she'll come and get the kids I know you guys know sit up for me on your butt please here I can't what you was R I'm 73 years old sit right there for a second Pi on a 73y old man just CU I put one foot out of the car let me have this spoon please have nothing on either you're not leaving here daughter picks up her kid I already spoke with your daughter she's on her way from as you saw the situation got out of control and both the grandmother and her husband ended up in handcuffs after an argument with the police children are still in the minivan so the officers called their parents to come and pick them up explaining what just happened and why it happened considering that this whole situation was stressful for the children the officers decided to ease this bad experience for them sure you guys had to witness everything here today okay that's none of this is your don't even think anything you guys didn't do anything wrong you just happened to witness it my good buddy Deputy boy here they might be a little hot so be careful got you nuggets and your mom's on her way okay okay it's okay so we got called she was not very nice she's not cooperating anything so she's under arrest she's going to jail Dad was jumped out of the car for a minute we got him back in then he wasn't cooperating anything like that so he's already other officer already got him so he's he's she she hasn't she doesn't cooperated all she won't tell me her name or anything so she's just unfortunately she that's she's already she's already another charge so we're beyond that so if she IDs herself at the jail that's fine but if she doesn't she'll sit in there until they run her fingerprints talk to her it's Dana Craig right is that all your name what's your social e ma'am tell me your social please this is such bull they what's your phone number get your pH number more money to get you out so chill out what's your phone number number Miss and tell me why you need that for the paperwork that I have to give your grandson call his mother that's the only thing I touched your phone for so and then just verify your address please um stop because you're going to catch more cost me more I don't have M for this you don't care shut up they can just leave me in jail Miss Dena has been charged with assault criminal damaging and obstructing official business her husband has been charged with resisting arrest and obstructing official business in Uli Florida the police received a call about an SUV moving erratically on the road endangering other traffic participants when an officer stopped the said vehicle they found an elderly woman at the wheel who was transporting her grandchildren and she claimed that everything was fine however the situation was anything but fine hello how you doing okay good good are you okay I'm good are you sure yeah okay well the reason why I pulled you over because we got a call in about you and uh your driving patterns how you've been you drove over a couple of Curves especially when you was going into the uh the Pu parking lot and as as I observed you driving um you had a hard time maintaining a single Lane and at one point we was at 200 and black rock there was a black car that was behind you luckily enough they were traveling in a safe enough distance but you went into their lane and then went back into the center lane and you didn't put any blinkers on or anything like that okay I don't recall okay are you okay do you like have any any medical issues or anything like that going on right now I just stopped to get my medicine okay okay we were stopping to go get my husband I'm sorry say it again we were stopping to go get my husband you're stopping to get your husband is anybody else with you my my grandchildren your grandchildren come on roll down the back this window right here hey how you doing have you taken your medicine earlier today no you haven't okay do I need to call like uh rescue or anything like that for you okay okay so you're you good yeah I'm just not having a problem okay all right all right the officer conducted a conversation with the suspected woman and as you've seen she insists that everything is fine then another officer arrives at the location to whom the first one explains that the woman does not look suspicious but he wants to verify it for himself unlike the first one he quickly realizes that the woman is under the fluence of something okay so she doesn't have any shades on so naturally because of um but I'm not getting off the breath or anything like that like I'm not she acting pretty normal yeah I mean she she's elderly she's just talking to me like very fake very like low but I mean other than that like I'm not getting any indicators that she may me like that hello ma'am hello how are you you feeling okay yes okay where wondering just because of the way you were driving just wanted to make sure that you were good um is there any particular reason like why you had crossed over those lanes that the man that was doing that was swerving and doing all that stuff and I don't know what he was doing but he he he was doing that and then the um what do you call them mot this roundabout pick up I can't are you feeling okay today I I know why it's just that I can't um I can't I can't take and um making just um worry about words okay so I saw is there someone that you could call to drive for you no one else no one at all I'm concerned about you getting into an accident that's all I say that I'm not I'm concerned for your safety have you I'm was going to ask you have you you consumed anything at all today oh my God no any alcoholic beverages any narcotics any drugs at all nothing at all I do not I just out do not do it okay all right um I mean I I'll come on and say I don't feel comfortable you driving is there anyone at all you can get to drive there's no one there's no one this Second Officer unlike the first quickly realized that the woman was not in a condition to continue driving so he is now taking her out of the car to start processing her for a potential DUI ma'am he okay well come [Music] on man I'm not going to sit here and play games with you you need to come out of the car these are children and you to play games with them I really can't hear you I said you are not going to play games with them right I'm not playing games with them you and I are talking sobody get get you to hop out of the car okay you can leave your purse there I need you to get out of the car ma' I need you to get out of the car ma'am leave that there I need you to get out of the car here we're going to walk on that side of the vehicle so that way we're not having traffic okay I wasn't planning on touching you so we're going to walk on that side of the traffic side we're not being hit by cars I do not want this manol with me m' that's not your decision to make right now we're walking through this driving Under the Influence with miners in the vehicle can enhance the DUI charges given the woman's age and the fact that she had grandchildren in the car the situation could also trigger an investigation by family services to ensure the safety and well-being of the children in Florida if the DUI offense involves a minor in the vehicle fines can range from $1,000 to $2,000 for a first offense while the jail time can be up to9 months the court may also order the installation of an ignition interlock device in the offender's vehicle this device requires the driver to perform a breathalyzer test before the vehicle can start all right I just wanted to hop out of the car that way you and I can speak okay do you have anything on you at all I don't see any Pockets so I just want to ask nothing at all okay can you uh tell me what you are doing today I'm was getting my medicine okay um I I am going to go ahead and make you aware that I am starting a DUI investigation okay a what a DUI investigation I'm going to read this to you it doesn't mean you're any refuse feel so bright exercises I have to make my decision to whether or not to place you under arrestable solely off my observation whatever with that in mind do you still not want to participate in field topr exercises do you understand whatever all right I'm going to put these up front so they're not super uncomfortable all right whatever okay give me your hands need your other hand as well all got into another person's car and the police quickly arrived at the scene she's being aggressive and obstructing the officers so it's evident that this won't be a straightforward case and yeah having someone else's credit cards without permission can lead to charges of possession of stolen property or possession of a stolen Financial device this is also often a felony especially if she intended to use the credit cards fraudulently you have the right to remain silent anything you say can be used against yourt a off you have right at the side to talk what what are you doing of she does want me to
